Spell Check on Hardware + Touch Keyboard - myTouch 3G Slide Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. : )
I can't seem to get spell check working on either the hardware nor touch keyboard when composing a text message.
Is there a way to do this that I'm missing?
It's working now as I write this post...
Just not when writing a text message.

Nevermind; it's working now. : )
When switching tasks to text message you can type a text message right away from the hardware keyboard, but it will only check spelling if you tap on the input box first...

[Q] No One Receiving my MMS messages?

I've looked over the forums and searched found a couple of threads with directions for functioning MMS but still no one says they are getting my MMS messages after trying these fixes. I use ChompSMS as my MMS program and I have it set to compress MMS messages to 300kb and I never get a failure but the recipient says they never got it. I send over a strong 3g connection and when it's sending I see the up and down arrows next to 3g stay solid signaling it's sending. My T-Mobile MMS is epc.tmobile.com which it is supposed to be as well. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Try using stock messenger or handcent

I use handcent, it works fine. I would try disabling compression in your app first though, see if that fixes anything. If not do what the other guy said and try the stock or a different sms/mms app

[Q] Changing Enter button function?

The keyboard on this phone is absolutely the best I've used, but fairly often, I accidentally press the enter key and send a text before it's completed. Facebook chat through the official app has the key set to just drop down a line; one has to press the soft "send" button to send a message into chat.
Is there any way to set this as the button's default behavior? Or maybe just for the messaging app? I'm using the SwiftKey Trial at the moment, and I couldn't find any sort of customization options.
Thanks in advance.

if you use Handcent, ChompSMS or the messaging app that comes with CM6 you can set "send on enter" on and off

[Q] Truly Epic V2 Issues

I have had the Truly Epic V2 Rom on my Epic 4g for a few weeks and wanted to see if anyone was having the same issues I am having with this ROM and see if there are any fixes yet. Number one I cant send or receive any picture messages for some reason. The next issue is the auto spell correct for text messaging when using the on screen keyboard does not auto correct only when I use the Physical keyboard.
Thanks

[Q] unreliable MMS on network

Hey guys,
I have since the beginning with this phone had issues with receiving MMS messages from other AT&T customers, I have not modified it whatsoever all stock APN and settings in that regard. I get a message with the pop up showing "downloading" and its a 32kb file it downloads the text they included with the mms, and shows it switched modes to MMS in the blurb around the text message in the messaging app, but no picture comes through, sometimes if they send it twice it will send the picture but not every time. Anybody else see this? any ideas?
Having same problem... I've tried resetting the apn (even though it's the default and hasn't been messed with) and I'm now using hangout.

Yes...
Always patchy on stock MMS...
If you have not cleared your caches in recovery since owning the device...you probably should...
Updates have occured ...and your caches may be dirty...
Also wipe the application cache in the app drawer frequently...g

Apparently I'm still having the same issue even with hangouts... :-\
Update: called the store and after tests it was concluded that the imei was incorrect so the store will be sending out a replacement.

SwiftKey emoji problem SMS?

Whenever I use emoji in the latest beta version of SwiftKey the first emoji always uses up 92 characters of my text message. After that emoji 's only take up 1 to 2 characters. This wouldn't be a problem normally as I have unlimited texts, but my phone turns extra long messages into MMS messages which I have to pay for.
Anyone else have this problem and now a work around?

Have figured it out. You have to go into SMS settings then under 'text input' scroll down to input mode and choose 'unicode' or 'gsm alphabet'.
