XDANDROID 2.2.2 AOSP
Welcome to the official XDANDROID AOSP thread which is dedicated to getting Android running on our beloved HTC devices.
Phhusson: has dedicated most of his time helping users and updating kernel to run Eclair and his work for other msm7k devices. However phhusson is not alone as there are also other members working on this. You can find some of them on http://www.htc-linux.org. I've listed some of the developers i know of that currently are working on and they deserve credits and thanks. We also have to note that before this work done there was quite a substantial number of people starting working on linux for our devices. Without them we may not be where we are today. So respect and credits to everyone involved in working on linux kernel for msm devices.
I am not responsible for any damages or problems your device encounters. The build is relatively safe and shouldn't cause any problems.
xda-developers signatures
For everyone posting on this thread about problems and issues, I urge you to please specify you're device or more conveniently update you're signature in control panel so it always has the details at the bottom of your posts.
FAQ
This has lots of Q&A and is recommended to go through before posting bugs and problems.
Please read post 1-4 as they have relevant information and is frequently updated.

OTA update
24.01.11
No OTA update for FRX05
The recommended method is the OTA update.zip. However, for users who don't have a completely original FRX02 to upgrade from, the system.ext2 file will be necessary.
OTA Update procedure (ONLY for users with the original, unmodified signed FRX02 system image)
Download update-FRX03.zip to SD card in the same directory as startup.txt and haret, etc
Rename update-FRX03.zip to update.zip
Boot haret, watch the updater go
After updater finishes, it may either reboot or "freeze" (reboot not implemented on device), reboot manually if it freezes
Boot haret again, and the new system will start up

How to mount system.ext2 to make changes
Make sure you are running a linux distro
Make a temp folder for mounting. eg: mkdir tempfolder
sudo mount -o loop system.ext2 tempfolder
Make your changes using nautilus. Google how to use it.
sudo umount tempfolder
Load XDANDROID within a custom named folder
Set Android directory: "rel_path=XXXXXXXX"
Set directory to where you are storing your installation
Eg: Put all files into folder named xdandroid
so cmd will be rel_path=xdandroid
Use this if you want to keep you SDcard more organised.

Diamond Storage Issues (Storage Card Unmounted)
To fix this issue
simply download the HP Format Tool | Mirror
Install the tool
Start Diamond in WinMo. Connect to computer via usb (Usb Drive). Make sure it is connected. Back up all contents of your internal storage.
Run the tool
Select your internal storage.
Format FAT32 (Full format).
Restore items on your internal storage.
Load Android
Android should no longer give you a message saying the SDcard is unmounted. This also fixes no media being found when loading android. thanks hamagc for writing up this guideadb and usb debugging
To ensure that you are able to use adb and usb debugging you will need to plug in your usb cable to your computer and in winmo select activesync. Now launch haret and once Android is loaded you'll see a notification that will notify you have usb-debugging control and able to use adb.Guide
Place everything into the root of your sd card for Raphael and Everything in your internal memory for Diamond. Remember to copy the correct startup from the startup config folder.
It should look like this
--root--
\AndroidApps
\conf

-haret.exe
-initrd.gz
-rootfs.img
-system.ext | system.sqsh

According to google JIT should save battery life, so you may or may not see any difference. I haven't tested it long enough and the kernel is still the same so it shouldn't be any drastically better

oh ok. Thanks for that info. I'll still mark it on the list of stuff to test then. looking forward to your upload.

In the new Rootfs there is support for wi-fi scanning in froyo!

UPDATE 15 Mar 2010:
polymod 2.1 g BT Update now released + .NBHs for Polaris!!
BT Audio routing and PAN Networking does not work properly yet on Eclair! You can pair with devices, and send files, but if you attempt to make a call with BT audio, you'll probably end up with no sound and will have to reboot to fix it. However, we will likely fix that soon, and you'll only have to update your kernel.
You can again thank dzo (Donation Link) for coding the fix, and also thank fellow xda member Mr. PaveL for tirelessly building and testing .NBHs with me while dzo updated.
The only other noticeable updates this kernel provides is soft-reset support for Kaiser and working speakerphone -- so if you don't need these features and polymod is already working well for you, there is no need to update!
Grab the polymod_2.1g-BT_Update.zip and the zImage or .NBH for your Kaiser or Polaris from the polymod @ ponack repository. Place androidupdate.tar from the zip in your /andboot/ folder, replace your zImage or flash your .NBH, and use the installer to update the system.
UPDATE 18 Mar 2010:
polymod 2.1 g WiFi Power Level Updates released!
Head over to http://ponack.net/poly/WiFi , and get .zips for Low, Medium, High, and Over 9000 WiFi Power Levels. Each .zip contains an androidupdate.tar, place it in your andboot folder and use the installer to update!
UPDATE 19 Mar 2010:
Latest .NBHs and Kernel for Kaiser & Polaris posted to http://ponack.net/poly/BT_Update/ , thanks again to Mr PaveL for building them.
If you're using HaRET, the same zImage now works for Donut AND Eclair. For Eclair you will need to add hw3d.version=1 to the command line in your default.txt . If the previous BT zImage wasn't working for you, this one should. (New Vogue .nbh and the same kernel can be found @ dzo's site.)
UPDATE 23 Mar 2010:
Full Market update released!
Use the installer to apply the update, and then 'fix permissions'.
http://ponack.net/poly/2.1g/polymod_2.1g-Full_Market_Update.zip
SD install:
Download the latest basefiles (haretinstall.zip) from SourceForge
Make sure to use the correct default.txt for your device. The default.txt must also point to zimage-eclair instead of zimage.
If you want to partition, you will need your partitions to be:
1: FAT32 (at least 512MB, to be safe) / 2: EXT2 (256MB) / 3: ext2 (256MB)
Warning: Partitioning your SD card successfully can be difficult, I recommend using Linux.
NAND install:
This is an beta build! I am not responsible if you brick your phone or a tornado lands in your yard due to flashing to NAND!
How to flash a ROM for Kaiser
Download the latest .nbh from SourceForge -- Make sure to use the kaisereclair / polariseclair / vogueeclair variant
The polymod package:
[ DOWNLOAD Eclair polymod 2.1g Light-Themed for SD install or NAND ]
[ DOWNLOAD Eclair polymod 2.1g Dark-Themed for SD install or NAND ]
[ DOWNLOAD OptionalApps.zip ]
[ Link to the background wallpaper ]
Installation Instructions:
Place the androidinstall.tgz from polymod_2.1g.zip in your /andboot folder on your SDcard. Hold dpad-center when prompted during boot to install.
Let the system boot, and don't do anything but go through the setup wizard pressing skip. Don't sync accounts, or setup data, or set your wallpaper. After skipping through the setup wizard, wait at least 5 minutes, then turn off the device.
Now power-on your device (this is a good time to backup, just in case) and after boot you can start setting up your accounts like normal.
If you do ANYTHING more on the first boot, your data may get corrupted and you may get FC's. I don't know why that problem happens, but I know if you use the above instructions you will end up with a very stable and fast Eclair build.
Need better instructions? Try reading j101399j's awesome polymod Eclair install guide with images!
Questions? Don't forget to use the search!! Your question has probably been asked and answered before. Also, here's an Android on Kaiser FAQ
Please use this build with the latest radio, for Kaiser that is 1.71.09.01. Old radios are not supported.

Does it work if one has PIN set up on his SIM card? I know 1.5/1.6 didn't. I would check it myself, but I don't have PIN and I heard that once set one can't undo it on my SIM card...
polyrhythmic, because of you, we can test this new build. We value your contribution and we are not left out.
Wow!! Thank you! I'll have to try this out! I'm pretty newb when it comes to HaRET
Here guys, i modified the rootfs from polyrthmic to work with msmissions and vilords eclair hero.
Uploaded second version with init.eclairhero.rc as init.eclairhero.kaiser.rc
Changelog from Polyrythmics one:
-copy init.eclair.kaiser.rc to init.eclairhero.kaiser.rc
-works with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599907
http://rapidshare.com/files/320878683/rootfs-eclair-andeclairhero-kaiser.img
I installed this version and:
- it works slow - first version for kaiser so I understand it
- BT and WiFi not work
- GPS - I didn't check
- something strange with battery - when charging it shows i.e. 73% and battery widet shows 77% but this is probably not Your fault ;-)
It seems to be a full night. and it seems that we still have devs on our Kaiser phones. God bless you all. Now I test Zen's build, and after that, thanks to JeckyllHavok, msmissions and vilord's build.
No idea how to get this to work, not had trouble before with Ion donut.

That is how it used to be done. Now we make an /android/ folder in the root of your SD card, and put all the files in /android/. conf and media should be lowercase, because case matters in Linux.
So, it should look like:
Code:
/android
/conf
eclair.user.conf
hero.user.conf
...
/media
default.txt (or startup.txt)
haret.exe
initrd.gz
rootfs.img
zImage
system.sqsh
Many thanks, managed to get it working with the old style which was odd, however no wifi means i cant use this
same here, unable to start wi-fi. it does not create de calibration file on the sd card.
is fast, like donut.

During boot, when it says Press VolDn, press VolDn (left softkey). Then follow the instructions on-screen.
I'll see what I can do about the WiFi, 3G data works great for me so far.

XDANDROID 2.1 AOSP
Welcome to the official XDANDROID thread which is dedicated to getting Android running on our beloved HTC devices.
So far devices supported are raphael|fuze|diamond|blackstone|topaz|rhodium
Over at the vogue forums, Zenulator has just released an updated version for Android. Codename Eclair, it brings Android to 2.0.1
Since then it has been bumped up and based upon Manup456 port. Many thanks
Stinebd has recently built an 2.1 AOSP build from source for those who want to use a clean 2.1 build. The current builds are based on the AOSP and we are waiting for 2.2 source

Nice to see someone contributing for the Raphael side of the forum, as i always felt why is support so good on the Vogue for Android? Why does Sense UI, most Android related etc. work on Vogue, well nvm. Looking towards the new build, nice work.

RAPH110 not working
I had tried it two days ago with kernel 2009-12-13 and the original files and got freeze at the setup screen on my RAPH110.
Procedure was as depicted and after deleting data.img.
At the top of the frozen screen there was the "no network" sign and I did not get the usual sounds of GSM network handshake in my loudspeakers so the hang seems to be in really early stage. That was weird enough to mention because on donut the radio turns on before the GUI comes up.
It could be Android initializing hardware that our kernel does not yet support. All i can think of is GPS and camera. But i'm going to stick with GPS for the time being. As data connections can be disabled and other hardware is at a functional stage.
my device is resetting at the android splashscreen, I had one time where I've seen the setup page. but then freeze and reset...
I don't know if its a problem but my diamond isn't detected in this build, it's detecting a vogue. So probably its loading false drivers?
the recognition is in the rootfs
These are really good news!
I'm glad to see some one looking into this! I own a raph100 and (needless to say) i got no further than you guys. But is there some way i can provide information? I'm no programmer but if there is any way i can help let me know!
/P
will try this on my diam100 ... i will only have to change the system.sqsh right ??? and keep all the other files

I hope my guide was easy to understand . Its pretty much like any other build. The two main files are system.sqsh and rootfs.img. Kernel is always from glemsom autobuilds and the basefiles should provide the rest.

same behavior when recognizing diamond.
is there a logfile anywhere or an option for one? so that we can see at what task it fails?
You can setup adb, which will let you see what task is being run. I've been reading into it and will set it up soon. As this would surely give us a better detailed diagnosis.
Eclair on RAPH100
Tested on my RAPH100 and got stuck on the setup screen too :-(
Offering a Diam100 to test
Hy guys! I offer a diam100 to test. Im not much of a programmer.
I offer my diam100 to do any test. At the moment i've tried and when i have "android" letters on screen, after 20 seconds the system reboots and enter into Windows mobile again. I'll be awake, every new version i'll try it and post feedbacks. Thanks for building.

Same problem here, after the SMD ch 0 closing -> opening and SMD ch 0 opening -> opened messages it resets.
I haven't tried the kernel flashing from the androidinstall package, for I'm a bit scared to brick my phone (though I'm not scared to flash it when I know it's quite safe )

nvm, i was missing 'board-htcraphael.adb=1' in the startup.txt almost got it working now!
it's pity i can not download all files.
Hi, since the kernel is shared between raph, diamond & blackstone, I tried it on my blackstone.
It did not work either, but I managed to save the debug output.
I've attached it here, in case it helps you.

It looks like the last sequence of actions were to find out there is no google account set up, with the reaction to call the Intent googlelogin with LOGIN_ACCOUNTS_MISSING. I guess the right reaction to that would be to request for login data.
Not that does not seem very hardware dependent to me so I'd rather bet the the freeze is due to something initiated earlier, maybe "Starting BluetoothHeadsetService". Looking at what happens in that process (pid=210) this looks like a weird path:
Code:
12-18 13:35:16.008: DEBUG/(210): unable to unlink '/data/data/com.android.phone/shared_prefs/_has_set_default_values.xml.bak': No such file or directory (errno=2)
Where is /data mounted and was there something created in /data/data?

The cyanogen mod team as their source made implementing our quick controls a lot easier.
And now the rom!
Rom Features
This is a completely deodexed rom, based on the 3.2 wifi system image. However just because Google and Motorola haven't released 3.2 for the verizon xoom that doesn't mean we don't support it! Thats right. We support 3g devices on 3.2 before Google have even released it.
EPIC features
Quick Controls aka statusbar controls / "Zeus mod"
Tiamat settings

SDCard support via mtp. NOTE: your sdcard will now be at /mnt/external1
Modified application permissions to allow applications that can write to /sdcard to write to /mnt/external1
USB OTG (On The Go) support. Your usb drives will now be mounted automatically under /mnt/usbOTG

Fast boot times. Your boot times are simply amazing with this rom!

If you're not on hammerhead, you need to perform a factory reset first.
This rom supports all wifi devices, US Verizon 3g devices and European devices.
Installation Instructions
Prerequisites: Clockworkmod Recovery card for installation.
(Only 3.2.0.0-R4C with an sdcard has been tested but all other cwm based recoveries should work too)

Release Notes
2.2.2 Release Notes
Yet another update for the rom. Quite a few changes this time.
As usual, this can be flashed cleanly over 2.2.1.
-- solarnz.
2.2.1 Release Notes
You are able to flash 2.2.1 over 2.2.0 as it is mainly just bug fixes.
-- solarnz.
2.2.0 Release Notes
Boy has it been a busy last 2 weeks.
I have built a build system where we now do the majority of our coding in java. Yep java, not smali.
We now have quick controls, in the status bar settings menu.
This rom is mainly just a feature release. Unfortuantly if you had any issues regarding gmail in hammerhead, you will likely get the same issues in this release.
This rom is also still based of 3.2. Yeah I know I said I would be doing 3.2.2, but things change.
-- solarnz.

Version 1.0 - Update 2 (charging light)
Enabled the led charging light in the ramdisk as per popular request.
Version 1.0 - 3g fix
Fixed permissions in /system/bin. This was causing issues with 3g connections.
Replaced framework-res.apk with a less modified version. There is no SIP calling and sms now, but the activation screens work now.
Tips
Automatically installing applications when you flash the rom:
In the zip file, under the directory "data" there is a directory called "tiamat_first_boot_install". You can place all of your apk files that you want installed when you first boot in there. This is useful for applications such as Thumb Keyboard and Titanium Backup
Moray 2.2 Modpacks
All of these mod packs can be flashed over the top of an existing Moray installation unless advised otherwise.
Mod pack 3 : Disable OTA notification ONLY FOR 2.2.0 & 2.2.1
MD5Sum: dd6291c50b815826ec18ee8acf89fa2c
Mod pack 2 : Stock User Agent String. ONLY FOR 2.2.1

OK, my browser problem is solved after I change my homepage to google.com and set UA string to desktop.
First impression : love the water boot animation. Still loading the boot animation.
EDIT : Done booting and saw new signal and battery icon. Nice. Only, when word '3G' nicely placed beside the signal. Only word 'H' overlapping with the arrow signal.
nice to see the the SD card persmissions are fixed!
Appears that the autorotation setting is broken... it will either toggle "on" or "upside down"
also torch doesnt appear todo anything
is the wifi dropout bug fixed in this release?

May I know what you mean by 'SD card permissions are fixed'? Do you mean SD card is internal or the microSD card? Because I cannot delete any files inside microSD card except after changing the right using MicroSD Mounter.
Works fine so far.
When opening Music and switching to Genre or Interprets the Music App FC's.
It will do that until Force Stop and Clear Data from within the settings.

Sure, i upgraded it from Rc 3.0
Upgraded from 7.1.0 RC3.0. Everything seems to work except the camera orientation. I've noticed a faster connection to the GSM and 3G network. In RC 3.0 it ometimes took ages to get a connection.
Is it non wipe like CM7 nightlies...
I dont want to redo everything again just to test...
I dont have problems with the previous version, but it is my second phone, only use SMS, calls, bluetooth, wifi and market...
gps
1. Gps not working, not even shows the icon in notification bar.
2. After a call, the screen remains blank, the proximity sensor have issues.
Back to RC3
fantastic! fast update
i want to try it, but not now
tried to install from rc 2. having troubles: at the boot appears a "android" logo and then nothing else. returning to rc2

i also had this, try re-running the zip in recovery agn, and reboot it a few times. i did this and it was okay.
Thanks for your reports about the bugs.
By the way, just for info.
I, friend of phiexz want to say this. Maybe phiexz will probably take a little longer time to fix the bugs because of his busy in college. He has so many task to do for his college, so he asked our help to find the bugs on 7.2 and post it here. Once he is not busy anymore, he will fix the bugs for us.
So, we have to be patience.
ok, because not many reacted on the update test, i just installed it over the RC3 without wipe or anything.
First look was ok, but no apps that where installed, so i rebooted again, and all is working, what was already on the phone.
Yes, camera has lost its direction and barcode scanner too .. but heck we know that ... link2sd still ok, wifi and 3G working, root explorer and google / gmail, Go contact, sounds market still working ... so no complaints yet ... other then the known issues oh wait Angry birds seasons still works !!
small correction, Gmail settings did not remember to synch email, but ticked that option again and its working
Correction (and wierd!) Qr scanner works ok (applied the fix on RC3) so cam scks but barcode scanner works
I cant connect to google account.
Fast discharged baterry, if I use only wifi, and 3G and screen light on 25%, 1% baterry per minute, its very bad. If screen is off, and locked, everything with baterry its okay (baterry is after callibration).
I not prefer ADW launcher, because it is slow, i Installed GO Launcher, and it is very faster than ADW on this ROM.
I've not found other bugs.

I'll upload new package soon.
Now it's fully functionally - only proximity sensor doesn't works.

Installation instructions
BACKUP YOUR DATA (using CWM)
Verify that your backup is complete - a backup of your sdcard may also be a good idea (see below)
Verify that you are running hboot 1.26 or newer (hboot 1.39 is recommended)
Download the ZIP and the boot.img (see Downloads)
Copy the .zip to your sdcard and reboot into fastboot
fastboot flash boot boot.img, then boot into recovery
WIPE your phone (this is not optional)
Install the .zip and reboot
Upgrading
You can always upgrade to a newer version without wiping any data, formatting system or wiping the cache.
But keep in mind that you must always flash boot.img + re-flash gapps after upgrading
Changelog
RC20 (20130825)
Fixed the two Android 'master key' bugs
Kernel patch for CVE-2013-2094
RC19 (20130317)
Merged CMs audio volume patch (http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/33778/)
Changed gps.conf to use pool.ntp.org (they use geodns - why isn't this the default dear google?)
RC18 (20130311)
Option to control button backlight depending on the screen brightness (Settings -> Display)
Software fix for pabx's broken headphone jack detecion: Added an option to forcefully route mediaplayer-output to the headphone jack. (Settings -> Audio)
RC17 (20130301)
Use latest WIFI Firmware (improves reception)
RC16 (20130216)
Added ro.adb.secure=1 to build.props. The phone will now only accept ADB connections from authenticated hosts. Note that you must upgrade your local ADB installation to the version included in the 4.2.2 SDK. Connecting with an pre-4.2.2 adb will not work
Fixed quicksettings: longpress = toggle, press = settings
Internal: Use CMs nicer audio-recording patch
RC15 (20130213) Android 4.2.2
Upgraded to Android 4.2.2_r1
Silenced vibrate kernel driver + removed unneeded pm_qos request
RC14 (20130208) Kernel 3.1.10
First release with Linux 3.1.10. Note that you MUST upgrade your hboot to 1.3x (1.2 versions may work - any feedback is appreciated, but any version < 1.2 will NOT work - your phone will freeze during deepsleep!)
Mounting USB-OTG devices on 4.2 is somewhat tricky as filesystems are not shared with 'parent' processes - using some userspace app like 'Nexus Photo Importer' is recommended
Switched to ondemand govenor as the old 'interactive' is broken in HTCs Linux 3.1.10 source drop (doesn't make a big difference)
RC13 (20130202)
Merged missing cam pull request
Option to change the max frequency in settings (Developer Options -> CPU Frequency)
Improved frequency management - say goodbye audio dropouts!
RC12 (20130122)
More camera options (jpeg quality, burst mode, scenes) - thanks to seadersn
Option to enable the overflow button
New hardware button mapping profile: press = tasks / longpress = menu
RC11 (20130114)
Support for encrypted /data partition. (see this post)
Ability to limit the max CPU frequency (see this post)
Enhanced included Camera App (thanks to herrvorragend23)
Include SimToolkit
Option to change the Home + Menu longpress behaviour (Settings -> Display)
RC10 (20130104)
Support for big /data partition. This is experimental, see this post
Mount /data with '-o discard'
RC9 (20121229)
Added 'volume rocker' support (disabled by default -> settings -> sound)
Bluetooth Audio (A2DP) is now working
Stubborn BT devices should now be able to pair
RC8 (20121225)
Fixed WIFI Tethering
Changed halo background
RC7 (20121220) Doomsday edition
Bluetooth Tethering support (still a little bit flaky, try to re-enable bluetooth + tethering if the connection drops)
Changed quicksettings behaviour: Short press = toggle / Long press = open settings
Reboot + Screenshot options in Power-Off menu (thanks to lownoise2)
RC6 (20121219)
Support for Bluetooth file transfer and HID (Again: thanks to rogro82)
AUDIO AND INTERNET SHARING VIA BLUETOOTH ARE CURRENTLY NOT WORKING
RC5 (20121215)
Audio recording fixed (Send your thanks to rogro82)
Developer-Options enabled by default in Settings
Display internal + sdcard storage in Settings
Improved holo-background gardient
Switching from/to 2G-Data-Only works without reboot
'Silent' GSM-Data drop is hopefully gone
RC4 (20121211)
Camera support Install this if the camera icon is missing in your app drawer
RC3 (20121209)
Paid applications can now be installed using Play Store
Unity engine based games work correctly
Hboot 1.3x support
RC2 (20121202)
Multitouch fixed
Based on Android 4.2.1 (December fixed)
HD-Videos (OMX) working
RC1 (20121126)
Include Email.apk
Fix google location service provider (google now / gmaps)

FAQ
I can not upgrade my hboot to 1.3x, help!
You can still run RC13:
This was the last release using Linux 2.6 and will therefore work on older hboot versions. RC13 is stable enough for everyday-use.
What kernel should i use?
Use the stock kernel from boot.img - there is nothing wrong with it. Using a different boot.img or/and kernel will just break stuff.

For people wondering:
Although its an AOSP build it does have multi-user support which originally is only available on tablets in AOSP ( users can be added in settings )
Will try it as soon as links posted, thanks for your work! Can't wait for some of the important things like camera to work.
Will have to give this one a shot. Looks very interesting, even though there's some major flaws. Official CM10 has never been stable on the HOX, so looking for alternatives. AOSP might be the solution, in the long run (not currently in that state ).
Good luck with the upcoming work, attempts, hacks, tweaks etc.!
EDIT:
1. You can add NFC to the list of working things. Just tested it with a tag.
2. The performance of the ROM seems very snappy and nice. Just because of it I had to take a few benchmark tests, and yeah, the ROM performs! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Api2mSgk7cfUdENKWWVqNnUyS013dnJpMGxNQXZxeEE (oops, wasn't made public at first)
Generally about Android 4.2 and its new quick settings (QS):
I wonder why Google doesn't allow us to reorder the grid (by long pressing on the items, much like on their launcher; folders). Would be great if one could add or remove buttons too. Personally I'd like to add GPS + NFC and remove 'Airplane mode'. When tapping on the items their respective activities is started. Convenient sometimes, but it makes QS pretty much useless... On/Off toggling would've been the preferred way I think. Much like how the Airplane mode button works... it doesn't even ask the user if the device should be put in airplane mode (which I think is pretty vital).

5 Star'd
Keep up the good work Gentleman
Definitely wanna try, but will probably wait until it's a little more stable.
Needed to rename rc0.boot_img to rc0boot.img (really any .img name would work) but otherwise booting fine straight over the top of latest CM10 nightlies. I'm no dev, but love being on the bleeding edge

Great job. Thank you guys.
anja31:
Yes this is hboot related ( i will notify pabx to put this in the first post )
To everyone:
Please feel free to post bug reports ( if not already mentioned in the first post by pabx ) and in case of a crash a logcat would be great
This is really exciting, thanks guys.

Where do we find the Email app, for non-Gmail mail? I do see the Exchange apk, but no Email apk. Should we use the one from 4.1, or does 4.2 have a new mail client app? Thanks for the awesome work too by the way; so far this is actually impressively stable for a preview (known issues aside, and more testing to be done)!
Compiled the new Email app from source... I guess you can just push it to /system/app.
I have not been able to test it yet though, so i cant say if its 100% working

thank you!! i will try it once the camera works. :good:
First off, thanks for the rom - always great to try the newest version of android!
I found a bug with google now, it doesn't show me any cards relating to my location, it says that I need to turn on googles location services but they're already on.

This is a known issue (see first post -> location services) and is already fixed in the git version.
We will probably release a new build that includes the fix today or tomorrow.
I have the feeling that the dpi is slightly off. On the lockscreen for example the widget area is bigger than the screen and The numberpad to enter the pin is cramped together. (I have no better way to explain it. Sorry)
Awesome guys keep on going will flash this one as soon as camera is fully functional as I really need it for work !!:good::good::good::good:
