WMM Wallpaper Map
The program locates the coordinates with: CellID, GPS, or By Name and download picture of map from GoogleMaps or BingMaps and set as background.
CellID = Get ID number your BTS and search it in google database with locations of this BTS.
-Supports Today, Sense / TouchFlo, Co0kie´s home, S2U2
-You can change the map zoom and map type - Google: hybrid, satellite, roadmap, terrain. Bing: Aerial, AerialWithLabels, Road
-You can show location marker of location

a: Because Today pictures in \windows\stwater_resx_resy.jpg,stwater_resy_rex.jpg is "ReadOnly". Delete files with file manager or remove this attribute.

Ok. So first off, my phone's resolution is 320x240 only. But ignoring that it didnt change the map.
I have a Samsung Intrepid, wm653. I am using the standard Today screen, not Titanium atm. In case that matters. I do see that the Map Hybrid is chosen...

This resolution is not supported. I add it in next release. Maybe when you set resolution 240x320 will it works, but with bad fit. Try turn off background image in system first.

It works well. Can't wait for automatic intervals.
Suggestions:
- Add bing maps, google maps satellites are not as sharp in some places as with bing. Also the birds-eye view with Bing is awesome sharp.
- When you add automatic intervals, i hope you find a way around that WM-"loading" meter.

Hi, nice program btw however i cannot load it on Samsung Omnia II running on WM6.5. I do have google maps installed, but it still fails to change my wallpaper into the live maps.

Hmm unfortunately doesnt work with Co0kies Hometab. One suggestion: Save the captured Pic as a jpg in the Programs Folder so that CHT can have access to it. That'd be great

As already stated three posts above it doesnt work with CHT... Startmenu however works nice... Would be so great if it could be integrated with Co0kies. One empty level and you can have a quick look at the map. Absolutely awesome

Doesn't work on my Telus TP2 running stock 6.1 Rom and TF 2.1. Select the TF and all I get is the spinning beach ball. Even went outside incase the app needs an active GPS signal. No joy.

Things I've noticed:
1) HTC Custom crashes when Save is pressed.
2) No strings in new Album app slideshow prefs or image info
3) Camera button busted. No association in Buttons control panel -- no link in applications.
4) Both G and E icons appear in titlebar with 3G connection.

1. not all required fields are set which casues it to crash.
2. Album was not part of the beta it was installed before final release so I will pull it and it should fix all of the issues from 2 on.
New versions w/o Album are uploading now.
1. Filled in all fields I could find. Still crashes.
2. Cool.

I will speak with shadowmite in regards to the crashing, I do not have a hermes to test it on.

True, I just prefer bes, I know I can run BES on WM but it's just not the same. Whent he BlackBerry Emulator is released I may move back to a WM device. That and the battery life of the two is no comparison
That is very true with the battery, I have an 8700c for work and it lasts for a week easy....my 8525 charges every night
I guess I don't fully understand the appeal of bes? (not a slam, just don't understand what benefit it has) I use my hermes with a mail2web exchange account and I've never had an issue <shrug>

you can change the background to anything you like! just go to PointUIs
folder in Program Files and replace the bg.jpg with any background you like!

Although I notice that in my HD is not fully working, I'm not able to get to contacts and I can only see one soft-button at the bottom, while I remeber from use on my old tytnII there were 2. Also the access to call history iw WAY slow. However is super-fast, hope they will preserve this speed for 2.0, it seems a capacitive screen!

I believe this VGA version they released is an older version of pointui. thats why it misses some features.
Call log is indeed slow, but playing around with this only makes you more eager to V2 release

you can only change the homescreen background.. just replace the bg.jpg with one of your choice in program files/pointui

But the first screen looks like that is some quality 800x480 background. So this program can really use WVGA wallpapers ? It doesnt resize them like TF3D ?

Dock-N-Play (DnP) is a "Craddleware" application that detects when your phone is craddled and on external power. If so it launches a "animated" today screen that provides a clock, email, current weather and appointments along with... wait for it... an animated background! This is one of those - "WOW that's neat... can I get that for my phone?" impress your co-workers applications. I have posted a few screen shots. My hope is a small community will help create animations to share with others. After the initial release in WVGA I will create a VGA version for others (likely not QVGA though - sorry)
The next release (after this one) will include some more options to:
- go full screen,
- assign quick-launch programs to front icons,
- change clock to completely transparent, semi transparent or fully non-transparent
A later release will add assignable quick launch icons to the middle of the screen for things like GPS navigation, Phone, Locking etc

Some known issues! {beta}
I believe this will only work on English ROMs... the next release will fix this. Setting location for weather requires "blind" typing or use of something like My Mobiler... also will be fixed. Please feel free to create your own animation skins but be forwarned that I will be making minor changes to the config.ini and txt files to accomodate needed internationalization changes. The next major release will include a PDF guide for creating skins but I'm guessing many will be able to just look and edit existing sample files. Also current CAb does not allow/display option to load to storage card... as soon as I figure out why I will fix this too

i love the idea!
what i would like to see in this app is a three mode function(or more).. for use in the car, home and office..
lets say i get in my car and i dock the phone on its holder, a screen will pop up with 3 big buttons that say "Car" "Home" "Office"
i click the button Car and the car menu shows in screen.. maybe it has a big clock a big "Call" button a Button to launch my GPS app etc..
when i receive a phone call in Car mode a screen should pop up with some nice buttons to answer or reject the call.. maybe a photo of the caller etc!
Now for the "Home" and "Office" modes what you already developed seem to fit

Brilliant work can't wait finally something to show off to the iphone boys.
Will we be able to get rid of the bottom "curtain" and make the clock smaller in order to see more of the background?
Maybe make the clock background transparent instead of white so that more of the beautiful animation background can be seen.

This version contains preview hologram environment with object creation and movement. Simple physics and transparency implemented.
How to draw cube:
- Push the position where you want to start and by holding stylus on display move wherever you want
- Okay, now you have a square, push stylus to display and move on x-axis to define back side
- Final stage, repeat step 2 for define front side
How to move cube:
- In this version you can move only with last created cube
- Simply select Move Tool in Features menu and slide or click to destination
How to draw prism:
- Simply click 4 points clockwise on your display
How to draw pyramid:
- Nearly same as creating cube, just try it
Only WVGA resolution is fully tested on Touch Pro 2, pls give me report, how it works on other devices, thanks!

A: Only HTC devices are supported for now. If you have HTC and anyway getting this error, check that you have that dll in the same directory as HG-Engine-exe and make sure, your device has G-Sensor
Works perfectly on Touch HD. It's a little wobbly though, or maybe it's just my accelerometer being too sensitive. But you're definitely heading the right direction, this has a lot of potential. You might wanna do a teeter kind of game with this engine. Keep it up!

Pretty sweet. Apps have only begun utilizing the G-Sensor for stuff like this. I noticed that movement was a little rough, like you had to tip your phone a bunch for the blocks to move a bit. Perhaps you could make the blocks a little more responsive to tilt.
Really neat stuff.
Yes, there's a little problem with G-Sensor, sensitivity could be increased, but it's make G-Sensor departure more visible and movement is not too smooth... I will write some stabilization algorithm to future versions ;-)

Hmm, is this for QVGA? When tried on my WVGA Diamond 2, it seems distorted, and very small.
It also creates two icons in my start menu. For the record, I am running WM 6.5.1 build 23506.
Great idea though, hope it evolves well.

I like it. It does look kinda funny on my vga touch pro, but it definetly works. Made about 10 czlls using it, and each went though flawlessly. Overll it could some UI tweaks, but its headed in the right direction. Hope it stays free Thank you for posting your work, and i look forward to any updates.

how do you initiate call once you dial the number on the pad? if i hit the green call button it brings up contacts.

Whats the exact size of VGA? Needs to be exact.

In my start menu, I have two entries "GoVoMo (1)" and "GoVoMo". The second one works, the one with (1) doesn't seem to do anything??
The .CAB has been updated with the 2 shortcut fix...

Can't recreate the problem on my device.
For me, clicking the icon with the 1 next to it, adds the today screen shortcut. The icon w/out the 1 opens the app itself. I dont mind it. Kinda handy actually.

Ah, I guess since I use Touch Flo, I didn't notice any change.
In Windows on my desktop, I can right click a short cut to see exactly what it is doing. I don't know how to do the same in Windows Mobile. Otherwise I could compare the two shortcuts....

Had to debug\resize with that doggy emulator. 1 pixel off and you end up with mystery scrollbars and who knows what...
Has over 1000 downloads in a day...with that ugly QVGA screenshot on VGA devices...lol

I was concerned with the animation that runs when the dialer is connecting...Hows that look? (the spinning google)
The contact photo picturebox looks a little large...? How's it look to you...

no, thank you I guess the animation is cut in half, but to me its no biggie. Hope this screen shot helps. App is working great!
