trackball to unlock screen - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is there a way to set the trackball to unlock the screen without rooting?
from what I have seen I have only found rooting options

This should be in general, not development... there is already a thread on this in there

[Q] SkyRadier Wireless Tether

this verison of Wireless tether is amaaaaazing!! I have never connected and have had such fast speeds?!?!? Which version is this?? is it avail on google's source downloads
There is something called the General Forum. This is not a question forum. Now if you want to get banned for continuously posting in the wrong forum your well on your way.
Not only that, why wouldn't you go to the website you got skyraider from in the first place and ask there?

Still belongs in the general forum. You'll get answers there. This section is implicitly for roms, debugging, and related issues, this forum is gigantic and general questions would really clog it up. It's hard enough to keep up with everything going on as it is lol.
That said, skyraider roms will have more support on team bamf forums, you'd have more luck there. Or if you like said app so much, then just back it up to your SD card via titanium or similar and restore it on whatever Rom you flash later.

A heads up: First, this entire forum is not for CM10. Second, since you're using CM10 you should mention it when asking for help. Third, this is a well documented bug in CM10 and is by no means exclusive to you.
You really need to check the Dev and Q&A CM10 threads for the issues you're having before posting your questions, and instead of creating a new thread, posting them in those threads.

[Mod] 360 Rotation

One thing I have never understood about Android is it never comes with full 360 rotation.
So here is a flashable zip that does just that...If you turn your phone upside down the screen will rotate with you. That is, in apps that rotate.
So this is made to work on CleanROM 2.1 (and that is all I have tested it on) but I don't see why it won't work on other ROM's as all the framework-res are based off the same at this point. BUT any mods made to the framework-res.apk in the ROM you're running will be lost. So ask your dev if they made any changes to the framework-res.apk, or just make a backup and flash away...
If your running a themed ROM like Jelly Bomb then you will most likely lose some of the theming because a lot is changed in the framework-res.apk for themes.
And you should know the drill by now...flash at your own risk...have a backup...
Oh and if you like it hit the thanks button.
Mod Edit: removed link that requires password.

That would have to be done through the launcher. I'm running out for a few but when I get home I will pull TouchWiz home apart and see what I can do.
That would be sweet. I know I find myself needing it more all the time.

Moving to Themes and Apps as this is modification to a stock App/launcher and doesn't belong in the Android Dev section.

Really??? This is a modification to the framework and has zero to do with the launcher app.
Edit: So basically everything in the Dev section should be moved because they are all modifications to the stock software?
Thanks and touché on the post above

My thread is not a theme or an app announcement. It is a mod and as such per XDA rules should be posted in the dev section.
Just because he is a Sen Moderator does not mean he cannot make a mistake. Based on the XDA rules a mistake was made I'm simply asking for it to be corrected.

In the mean time this app does what you're looking for. I'm all for making things work without adding an extra app so I'm going to get it working without the need of an extra app but until then...

Sorry - you are wrong. You are trying to skirt the rules here, but that rule you quoted (Rule #15) that says "mods" go in Development, is meant for real modifications made to ROMs, kernels, etc. - not tweaks to apps. This is a tweak to an app, the stock launcher to be precise, and as such belongs in Themes and Apps and STAYS here.
You are correct thought even Senior Moderators can make mistakes - and I am not above admitting when wrong. But - that didn't happen in this case and any attempt to try and skirt the rules more will be met with real consequences.
EDIT: Also closing this thread since you seem to have duplicate threads now in Themes and Apps about the same thing.
My mistake.... this thread should be open too

Please read Forum Sticky in General section before posting.
1) We do not accept this kind of questions for reasons mentioned there
2) This would be the wrong place to ask anyways
Additionally: Please check your posts before sending them off. The thread title doesn't really make sense .
