ctrl-c in better terminal - Galaxy S I9000 Android Development

How do you enterl ctrl-C in better terminal on the i9000? Menu Special Keys says Ball and c. What is the Ball button?

This is in wrong section. I cannot move it to "Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps" or delete it and repost it there.

Already found it. What to use for Control key is configurable in better terminal.

hey Marcolooij,
what is it by default? and what do you mean by "better"????

"Better Terminal" is the real name of the application

Indeed "Better Terminal" installable from market. Default is Ball button which we don't have on the SGS

Command Line Interface

I've had a look at a few programs and they all require command line changes to set up specific option. I have no idea how to get this to work with WM5.0 and no ammount of Googling and forum searches has helped. I know what to do in a desktop environment but there is no option for mobile based applications. Can anyone tell me how to add command line options to a program or shortcut on WM5.0?
total commander
Thanks
EDIT: NVM me a fool...
if you just want to launch an app with command line hold down the action key (the one in the middle of the d-pad) then long-tap the clock / battery icon area on the top bar. Release the action button and a popup menu will appear giving you the "RUN" option just like on a desktop PC.

Oh, wow! That is a very handy bit of information!
Sorry to bring up such an old thread, but I haven't been able to get this d-pad trick to work (in WM6.1). The app just opens as soon as I press down the center button. I've also been trying to do it through Total Commander but I haven't been able to figure out where to specify the options. I've been at this for two days. Can someone please point me in the right direction so I stop feeling like an idiot? Thanks.

Where is Power Management App Located?

Hi - Can anyone advsie where I can find the app which is called when you go Settings > Power? Or isn't it an app at all? I've searched through all the directories on my HTC T HD and searched this forum and the WWW, all to no avail.
I want to assign it to a control in Wisbar Advance Desktop. Thanks. MW
OK - for the benefit of other newbies out there I'll answer my own question...
When you have created the new button, goto its properties, edit script, add a 'launch program', click on the browser box, change 'Type' to 'Control Panel' and you get a list of all the apps listed in the various standard 'settings' pages. In my case, pick 'Power' and bobs your uncle.
Thanks for the info, but to answer your question, I have a app for the Powermanagement its in: \windows\powerexe.exe

(REQ) Screen Rotating Application

Hi, can anybody suggest me a screen rotating application where I can choose the applications & also things like dialer, lock screen, email, messaging etc. manually, that I want to rotate.
And before any1 asks me to use changescreen, I have already used it, but the interface is really poor. Can't understand a damn thing on how to choose specific applications & utilities to rotate...
I use MobileMagic to rotate the screen and launch applications via rotation of the screen ...
you find here...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2948939&postcount=1
to add applications in change screen
then proceed as follows:
Press on "show name apps"
opens a dialog box and press ok
on each application that you open up the name of it, choose an application, go changescreen, press on "stop", press on "exception", press to top on "add"
and the string that appears check the program name you've seen before ...
forgive me for my bad English ..
I hope that I explained the best possible
If you are using new manila V2.0 or V2.1 you already have a build in screen rotating program just need to add programs to the white list
G-Config

[TOOL] Panels Button UnAssigner

Introduction
From time to time Panels button can be accidentally pressed (usually with "Green Phone" button). I hate long waiting for Panels Manager come to screen, cancel it, return to normal life...
It's very annoying for me!
Target
Disable primary function of "X Panel" button.
If you need to switch panel - use different launcher for PanelManager.
Simple Solution
Install latest MortScript on your Xperia.
Unzip attached file to any folder on your Xperia.
Run "UnAssign" to disable launching Panel Manager by "X Panel" button. You need to run it only once - "X Panel" button will be disabled forever (or until you use "ReAssign", see below).
If you don't need to switch panels - that's all.
If you need to switch panels (with disabled "X Panel" button) - use "\Program Files\PanelManager\ShowPanels.exe" (or your localized path) to run Panel Manager.
If you want to put things back - just run "ReAssign" to restore original function of "X Panel" button.
Folder with unzipped files can be deleted at any time - assignment/unassignment of "X Panel" button will be remembered.
After disabling primary function of "X Panel" button it can be used for different tasks. I use AE Button Plus to assign "Start Menu" function to short click of "X Panel" and "ShowPanels" to long press of "X Panel".
Should works on any localized device.
If someone needs .CAB version - just ask me.
I don't really understand what exactly your files do.. rename the panelmanager.exe and replace it with your empty.exe so it does nothing?
And the other one reverses this?
EDIT
Accidental double post.. dunno how!

Yes.
In addition you can use "ShowPanels" to switch panels in case that you need it even if direct function of "X Panel" is disabled.

Thanks for suggestion.
I'll try to improve.
Anyway I like simple solutions.
Very nice, thanks.
You might want to mention that you need MortScript installed though. At least a noob like me needed to figure that out first.

[Q] "Activity" for launching input method

Hi, a wanted to know if there is a way to set a custom activity (using anycut / launcher pro "activity" etc) to open the "input method" (the pop up when you long press a text field and select "input method" to change keyboards.
My intent is, actually to assign one of the "quick keys" to input method to quickly change keys. If seen that there is widget that enables this (using "power control plus" from the market), but I haven't been able to make a custom activity for this.
Running Dalvik Debug Manager, I think the command is something like
WARN/InputManagerService(1437): Window already focused, ignoring focus gain of: [email protected]
but I'm not well versed in android development to understand this.
Any help? Thanks in advance!
