[Bootanimation] The Matrix Scrolling Letters - G1 Themes and Wallpapers

I take no credit for the animation, originals are from here:
http://infectionist.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1988
I just resized and edited for the G1.
Thanks to Six6Sicks for help getting it working (and the demo image).
It loops the scrolling, but comes in from black only once.

No, many were even more obscure than oriental language characters.
I didn't make the animation anyway, just ported it to the G1/MT3G.

Just delete the file from /data/local. The original is located in /system/media, and will default if the one in /data/local is not present.

Looks pretty nice, is it normally artifacted like that pic in your post though?
And I think they should get rid of the angry face option...
Edit: Just looked, they're jpegs in you post, so I assume it wouldn't normally be artifacted.
I moved the. zip file system on / media, but when I go to restart the phone always goes to the first (animation cyanogen latest version)
Let me guess this is for eclair or hero roms.

That animation just made me j*zzed in my pants. I can't wait for CM6.
Very cool.... Thanks alot worked great/looks great.
Looks good... however for some reason it reminds me a lot of a Windows boot screen.
That is just amazing right there, thats the best boot ive seen since the droidx red eye bootanimation.
Thank for posting this.
Here's a preview gif, feel free to put in the OP if you want:

If you push to there, it overwrites the "default". if you put in /data/local/ you can remove it and restore the default boot animation.

here is the fixed file link

Is there a version of this that is all colors, doesn't switch to just blue in the middle? (and doesn't have the droid?)
Not entirely sure why, but it seems like it's skipping a few frames on my G1. It jumps when it goes to and from cyan. That was with the bootanimation.zip, I'll try the flash one and see if it is any different.
wow this is sick ty

This occurs for me on the G1 using the flashable version. Not complaining at all just an FYI, I'm not surprised at all given the G1's hardware
Either way it looks great, thanks OP and others who contributed to this.

symlinked to data/local.

Creat right folders,Updat Script, zip the files and sign again.
Difficult to explain for me I´m from germany.
Maybe there are other methods to do this!

If you have a file named "sanim.zip" in system/media, them you can try moving bootanimation.zip there. If you don't see the bootanimation on reboot, then you're not running a bootanimation compatible kernel. There's a few of them in the development section. I will be posting flashable zips for stock and custom kernels later this week. I'm going to be swamped for a few days.

Wileyfox Swift Bootanimation

Hi everyone,
PLEASE NOTE: THIS BOOTANIMATION WAS ADAPTED FROM MISHA PETRICK'S ANIMATION AND HE HAS DONE MOST OF THE HARD WORK. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LOOK AT HIS OTHER COOL ANIMATIONS HERE
Intro
I am quite new to the XDA fourms on the Wileyfox Swift (only just realised that it had been released) and I would like to release a bootanimation based on Wileyfox and see what the community think. :good:

Installing/Downloading
This works with CM13 and any other rom with Theme Chooser. If you are NOT using a rom with Themes, use the manual .zip method.
APK CYANOGEN THEMES METHOD (NO ROOT):
IF YOU ARE USING CM, USE THIS! You dont need root for this as I have managed to compile it into a Cyanogen Themes apk. Just install it, choose modify chosed theme, scroll to bootanimation, click applied bootanimation and select Wileyfox Boot. Then press off the selection and press the tick. Done!
MANUAL .ZIP METHOD:
Download the zip file below. Then place it on your device. Then navigate to /system/media and backup the current zip. Then simply go to where you put the zip you downloaded and copy it to /system/media. Then, set permissions to rw-r--r--.
Download from attached files below.
Please let me know if you like it and if you have any suggestions on improving it, please feel free to say in a reply. Thanks,
Jev
