Does yours not fit correctly too? I got mine a few days ago, and there are gaps along the bottom, and top by the speaker.
The cut could have been way more precise.

Mine fits perfectly... I did however have to trim the top two corners with a nail clipper to take care of a slight overhang.

Mine fits like junk too

got mine from zagg as well just the screen cover it fits perfectly

mine has a gap towards the bottrom, hangs off the top, and off the right hand bottom corner.. plus the optical circle was cut in an oval shape..

How does it perform other than that? Does it reduce the brightness or sensitivity noticeably?

Your finger won't slide as well- It's kinda tacky, and there's a noticeable difference in the touch sensitivity. Having to slow down my typing sometimes for it to register.
I just got a replacement from Zagg for my first one, and it's exactly the same. Overhang on the top, gaps on the sides and bottom.
When I called them to say the new one didn't help, they told me the only thing I could do was send them photos so it can be investigated. They could do nothing on their end about it. Nothing. They won't investigate this on their own.
Really? For all the people telling me Zagg rocks, this product / service is piss poor.

Absolutely! Dont buy it!

originaly had invisisheild did not like the rubbery feel
got the at t set 100 times better no rubbery fell finger slides perfect
the fit was a little off, but if you line up the optical there is a tiny bit of overhang that i trimmed with a razor blade

AT&T screen protector corner radius is off

A bit of caution when picking out screen protectors
I had to cut the edges on my AT&T screen protectors due to the nature of the soft back which when pressure is applied to the front causes lifting on the screen protector's 4 corners. The dimensions are fine but the radius is too small for the corners causing them to protrude ... just cut them a little but I would have preferred to have 100% perfect screen protectors instead of half assed ones from AT&T ... why am I not surprised.

I purchased the same protector. I have the same issue as well. Makes it look really cheap with the corners sticking up.
I had that, plus since I am opening mine a LOT for hacking, the bottom looks like crap.
Looks like I am going to replace the protector within a week of getting the phone.
Just wrap the whole phone in plastic wrap with the back off. Then slip it on.
Bad idea most likely, but it would be funny if it worked well.
same issue. Trimmed the corners. It doesn't look that great, but doesn't peel up when i hit the corner on something. I'm on the third protector already. First one i screwed up the orientation and got dust under it when fixing. second peeled up when i hit one of the corners.
must be those poor quality screen protector. there us not much of an option atm. i would rather get a HTC HD mini screen protector and punch a hole on it.
I just had Ghost Armor put on my iPhone 3G (which I'm handing to my daughter when my Aria comes in). It's pretty nice, but the Aria isn't showing up on their website yet. And you would only really want to get the screen done, since you open up the phone to get to the battery and the SD Card.
Yep, I cut them carefully and used the scotch tape method to get perfect placement.

Can you elaborate on the "scotch tape method"?
I ordered invisible gadget guard from amazon. Havent put it on yet, but that packaging sure makes it look impressive.
Before separating the films I placed tape to use as handles to apply the protector flat (instead of holding it).
Then after layed down on the screen pulled up and slid tape underneath to attract any particles which cause bubbles. Slide with sticky side face up so it pulls from the protector's sticky film (rarely do the particles stick to the screen itself).

Has anybody noticed the quality of these are not that great?
Have had on for 3 days. There are a LOT of scratches on the protector itself. I usually keep phone in jean pockets with a wallet.
Anybody plan on trying the Amzer ones, although I have heard their quality may be dubious too for the n1.

I ordered this, and it shipped today. I got my 8 GB card in the mail today, too. I kind of wished I had gotten a 16 GB card, since my whole music collection is about 8 GB. But I may pick up another 8 GB as my "backup film roll" at a later time.

I can't believe I didn't figure out this solution earlier. Obviously, trimming the excess on the corners would solve the issue, but I wasn't comfortable using a razor blade to make the trims. But just 5 minutes ago, it occurred to me to use a nail clipper (while already installed on the phone, and the back plate removed). Worked perfectly, was super easy, and did no damage to the phone.
Yeah that didnt occur to me either. I used small crafting scissors.

Same thing happened to me, just on the bottom corners though, but as soon as I put my case on it covered up those bubbles, cant even see it. Quality of the protector seems to be decent. I used a universal one prior and it was ****!
I ordered the stealth guard though for the phone (full body protection) just now so when that comes I'll let you guys know how that works out as well.
I used the Invisible Gadget Guard that someone else mentioned (got it off ebay though, not amazon, it's the exact same one however). The quality of it is definitely top notch, I've had it on for a little over a month now and it has no scratches/marks that are visible without actually looking for them and even then there are minimal and very minor ones. My one complaint with it is the top two corners did start to peel a bit, I ended up peeling it up a tad and cutting them (with difficulty, this thing is tough!) and reapplying that part and I haven't had a problem since! I do have a few blemishes down the left side due to my clumsiness during the initial applicaton, but the case covers it for the most part
i tried the invisisheild and did not like the rubbery feel, got at t sheild it is a hard plastic and fingers slide much better, yes i had to trim but no big deal there. all you have to do is put the protector on the phone with back cover off, then take a new sharp razor blade at about 50 degree angle to the edge of glass and trim excess off. 3 months now and have not lifted any corners. these are much better than the rubber vinly covers that tend to stretch and need trimming as well.

Invisible Gadget Guard screen protector and full body protector

I ordered those from eBay for around $15, they just arrived today. Tried to apply body protector first. Body protector is made out of 5 pieces and no matter how hard you would try to fit them, it's impossible to get them to stick nicely and not move. Started with the battery cover piece that's the largest and easiest to apply, it turned out to be just a little too big and when I put battery cover back on the of the phone, sides of the protector unglued and let the air under them which created bubbles. Tried side protector next, but that thing is impossible to fit. Gave up on the whole body protector and though to just apply screen protector and keep my gel case for now.
Screen protector is of the most horrible quality I've ever seen in my life! It's so grainy, it looks like my screen has a resolution of about 100x40 after application. More than that I'm not sure if it's because I used soaped water (as per instructions) or for some other reason, but parts of the screen-protector actually turned grey (against black background), some other parts are a bit clearer, but still, grain kills the whole thing. Ripped it off and will be waiting for some better screen-protectors to show up on the market.
Don't waist your money on those.

My Zagg should be here tomorrow
I ordered a similar protector from clearfreak (they were the only ones selling a protector for the captivate when I ordered about 10 days ago), and it came in the other day. While the material itself seemed about on par with the zagg protectors (I've used Zagg before), the screen protector was a bit too big, so theres a bubble going across the top where the protector wraps around the top of the phone.
I see that zagg has protectors now, so I guess I'll get one of those. They seem to have changed up their offerings a bit, they offer full body "maximum coverage" and "easy install"; can anyone tell me how difficult the maximum coverage protector is to apply? I've done a zagg full body install on my zune hd, so I understand that these things are a bit tricky to get on just right, but I want to know if the full body is significantly harder than the easy install one with a bit less coverage.
How is the touch screen after you put on the screen protector? I have had a few that really seemed to mess with the touch screen. It seemed like it took twice as much pressure for it to react.
Is that the case with the captivate as well?

Capacitive touchscreens aren't pressure sensitive, so protector or not, how hard you press shouldn't make a difference. That being said, I have a Zagg invisibleshield on my zune hd, and it hasn't affected the touch sensitivity at all.
I've used BodyGuardz and Zagg before. The one piece of advice I have is, instead of using the soaped water they give you, use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. It lets you slide the cover to the correct position very easily and will just evaporate out from under the cover, leaving no bubbles. I had a super clean install on my HTC Pure that way. To be safe I'd also remove the battery and make sure the phone has plenty of time to dry before you turn it on again. Also, if you enter ZAGG's weekly iPad giveaway thingy they have been giving out 40 and 50% off coupon codes.
I just got the AT&T screen protectors (pack of 3 for $10). I actiually got it for 5 (50% off through FAN account) and they are of good quality, clear and fit perfectly. There's even a cutout for the earpiece speaker and light and proximity sensors.
The two AT&T stores I went to did not have them but the AT&T smaller stores in the malls did.
I got the full body Invisible Gadget Guard, and mine looks fine. I didn't use soapy water, just plain old water, and everything fits perfectly, except for when I was dipping it in the bowl of water it snagged on the side of the bowl and when I made the mistake of trying to pull it off, it stretched, but I just cut it to fit and it's hardly noticeable.
Although, I won't lie. I did order the Zagg front screen protector for the fact that I know it works. I did the infamous "key test" on this cheap one, and it performed surprisingly well..
But it's not completely a rip-off if done right, especially for the $5 I paid.

you paid 5 bucks?
Let us know when you all get your Zagg Invisible Shield protectors in. I am trying to decide between Zagg and BodyGuardz. I haven't used either but I love the device entire too much to cover with a case.
With a 45 day money back guarantee, surely it cannot be that bad for the $24.
I bought the Invisible Gadget Guard off Ebay as well for $13.97 with a free car charger. I used just water to get it on. At first, it felt and looked awful but given 2 days, everything smoothed out and I was able to get all bubbles off. It's actually pretty nice now. I had to snip a little of the sides because I stretched it a little too long, but that's not a big deal.
I have a Zagg on my Zune HD, and initially I felt like it was a bit rubbery, but I left it on to see what happened, and after a week or so, it didn't feel rubbery anymore to me. You have to be really careful with the installation, make sure you dont get any dust/debris under the protector, but after that you can throw it in your pocket without any worries.
I got a phantomskinz for my captivate, since it ended up being similar in price to the Zagg but comes with 2 instead of one, and I'll post back here with impressions once it comes in.

Well I just finished installing this, and TBH it wasn't that bad... I've done many type of film installations on cars and stuff and it was very similar to doing it on the phone. I took my time with it and I am actually very satisfied with the result. It gives the phone a very needed grippy feel. Some pieces weren't the most perfect size to fit but it covered most of the area pretty well. I will got some pictures up later tonight. You really have to take your time with this installation or get a professional to do it, other wise you will end up like some people on here not very satisfied at all.

I've had it on for a week now and I've grown to like it quite a bit. Still considering getting a case since it won't protect it from drops.

Realook screen protector.

Waste of my damn money. Seriously, what a waste of $12 bucks.
Not only is the top slightly peeling near the earpiece, the side is also slightly coming up. I've put on plenty of screen protectors before without a problem, and this is by far the worst one. Hell, the free one that came with my Diztronic / TPU case was better than this.
Just to add, I ended up throwing the first one away because the top wouldn't stick at all.
Same here. I bought them on Amazon and ended up throwing both away. First one was a mess, and the second one looked like **** at the top.

That's... Really weird. I've used TONS of screen protectors, and I'm super anal about them (I work in a lab, and I'll usually use the hood to keep hair and particles off while I apply the screen protectors) and I usually go through 5 or 6 protectors before I get one on with absolutely NO hairs or bubbles, but the realook ones worked fantastically for me the first time! I've had mine on for almost a month and it's still perfect, no peeling or bubbles. Plus, I love that it came with a camera lens protector too. I guess I got lucky =)

Zagg Nitro HD in Ebay
I dont like zagg at all...too rubbery and sticky. U can't glide on it like u do on glass.
Other ones I recommend:
Vikuiti: http://www.protectionfilms24.com/ar...-dqc160-lg-electronics-optimus-lte-60775.html
Skinomi: http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechS...KMZ6/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1325915922&sr=8-7
SGP Incredible Shield (there are 2 kinds):
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-OPTIMUS-S...2MI8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1325915922&sr=8-4
&
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-OPTIMUS-S...8I/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1325915922&sr=8-11
I've read somewhere that SGP also makes another kind of screen protector called Steinheil, which is supposedly the best protector out there, but currently there is none for the Nitro/Opt.LTE. However, the Incredible Shield uses Steinheil engineering. I would go with SGP for over the others.
Be careful though. The first two you posted look like they're for the Optimus lte which is NOT exactly the same shape as the Nitro (for one thing, there's a big hardware home button cut out in the middle of the bottom of the screen, but also the screen shapes are not exactly the same, which may lead to edges not precisely fitting). The same goes for cases designed for the Optimus lte, which really is a slightly different shape. If they say they're for the Nitro, but there's an antenna hole, clearly they were originally designed for the Optimus lte, which is why they may not fit EXACTLY right (as one reviewer here, I think bmxant, mentioned in the SGP case review- a little bit of looseness/give on the sides)
Clarification: the SU640 Optimus lte looks like it might be the same shape as the p930 nitro, but even still, the form of the battery cover is different (the curvature of the plastic around the camera metal is different between the two). The LU6200 Optimus lte is just completely different, with a blockier shape and the hardware home button. Pick accessories carefully! =)
I've been using Realook for every phone i got. This one is perfect just like all the other ones i've used. No problem here.
Lol!! N here I thought that all optimus LTE phones are physically the same I thought those were just the wrong images for the phones. Thanks for clarifying itis
So yeah, like itis mentioned, I guess be careful with whatvu r getting. If possible email the seller first I guess.

lol oh they have too if they value their customer, n if they value their business, then this one better work
I currently have it on my screen and I like it a lot. I only use PET film screen protectors. I bought some PET protectors for this phone from another brand, but they have a slot cut out for the front cam and proxy sensor. I think that partially defeats the purpose. If that glass on the cam is damaged it will seriously limit the front cam usability.
Sent from my LG-P930 using xda premium
Btw guys, since this is practically a review on the realook screen protector, why not post some pics of how the screen protector looks on the phone and some other pics like packaging it came in, and how it looks with the screen on, etc.
If done right you actually can't notice it on the phone, not even to the touch. I don't have any air bubbles, but I do have a spec of dust that got under mine. I bought some other PET protectors for this phone on ebay, but I haven't changed it out, because the others don't cover the front cam and proxy sensor.
The only thing you will notice with the Realook protector is that on the sides... It doesn't completely cover the glass part, but it will cover all of the screen, capacitive buttons and the front cam / proxy sensor. If you've never purchased a PET protector before you're in for a treat. Once applied, your finger glides across it just as smooth as glass. Way different from a matte screen protector or an invisible shield.
I definitely don't like the ZAGG invisible shield. It looks like orange peel and shows every finger nail indention and everything.
As for the Realook not covering to the edges of the screen... that sucks.
The brand I always used on my iphone was Cygnett. They don't make anything for this phone though. Actually, I'm not sure if they make anything other than iphone protectors. I'm going to look into it because it was a perfect screen protector. Anti glare, anti fingerprint, and lasted forever.
I think it doesn't cover all of the glass because the sides curve down a little bit. That's right about where it stops too. Of course those curved down areas are not immune to scratches, but atleast it won't be on the viewable part.
I've wondered about screen protectors on the Nitro because of the curve around the edges. I would imagine it would be possible to cover still. No?
It will cover everything vital. Only the part curving down is not covered. You'd probably need an invisible shield to cover those curved parts.

Which screen protector to buy?

I'm planning to buy a screen protector for my moto x, which one should I buy?

I give the ArmorSuit a big meh. After a 5 days I'm starting to see orange peel around the edges and its still pretty tacky. I like it better than a Zagg, but still not a big fan.
iSmooth screen protectors are inexpensive with a lifetime warranty, even if it's bad install they replace them. You get 3 in a pack with a very nice size micro fiber cloth. Amazon has them on sale for under $10.

I went to Best Buy and purchased a Zagg and had the sales associate install it. I waited around while it was installed but was not able to really inspect it because I had to quickly leave and get back to the office. When I was able to really check it out, the Zagg had many air bubbles....large bubbles, not the small-ish ones that dry out and go away. And, there was dirt and dust under the Zagg. Plus, the Moto X Zagg does not cover the entire screen, it has a relatively large border on all sides. I returned the Zagg, got a complete refund, and went to the Verizon store down the street. I purchased the screen protector Verizon sells, used my corporate discount, and they even installed it for free. I must admit, I was very skeptical about the Verizon screen protector, only planned to use it while I read the XDA forums and reviews for Moto X screen protectors, but the Verizon one is holding up very nicely. The Verizon sales associate who did the install laughed when I told her about the bad install that Best Buy did, and she told me she was an expert, and I have to agree. She cleaned the device, used tape to remove dirt and dust and aligned the screen protector perfectly. Cheap, free install and looks great. Win!
Don't buy BoxWave!
I would recommend NOT buying BoxWave screen protectors for Moto X. I got some for my Galaxy Nexus last year and they were too narrow, but I never returned them. When I got a Nexus 5 here to test I used them temporarily and loved the feel, so I decided to give them a try for the Moto X. They don't fit right. If you line up the hole for the mic, the top part covers the earpiece and camera; if you line up the top, the mic is covered. Here's a link to my "customer image" uploaded to Amazon.

I got the Power Support ones from Motorola when I ordered my Moto X, and I love it. I tried the iSmooth protector from Amazon on my wife's Moto X yesterday, and it sucks. It went on fine and looks good, but it is "sticky" when I slide my finger across the screen. We both tried it along side mine, and the Power Support is definitely slicker and easier to move a finger across. I removed the iSmooth from hers and used the second Power Support one that came with my order.

It takes a little while for the stickiness to go away. I had an ismooth protetector on my nexus and it was good.

I have never NOT used one, but I have had to replace them eventually because they got scratched and scuffed. But my screen did not. I have to assume that had I not had the screen protector on, the screen would have been the thing that was scratched and scuffed, and that I would have been able to do anything about it.

I never had a screen protector on my OG Droid, and never had a problem. When it became dirty with skin oil and whatever else stuck to it, I would get my finger wet, moisten the entire screen, then wipe it with a cotton cloth. In two years I never got any noticeable scratches on the screen. It was never in a case either, and I even dropped it a few times onto carpet-covered concrete floors from up to 6 feet high, and it never suffered any real damage other than a scratch on the bezel. When it wasn't in use, it was always in a holster - never in my pocket with other things that might scratch it.
That said, I would NEVER go without screen protector or a protective case again.

I am currently using a XT860 on AT&T and have never had a screen protector on it, and never had a problem. I am just trying to figure out if over the time people have had the Moto X they came to see a need for the SP or not.

I might have to try that one. I tried the xtremeguard and it is soft and gummy. My cheapo one of Amazon is better, but doesn't cover the greatest and is a fingerprint magnet.

I have to say, I think it is the best screen protector I have ever used, at least in terms of how it looks and feels. I can't speak to the long-term durability yet, since I have only had it for a few weeks. But it is definitely nice to use.
I like the PowerSupport (Brilliant at least) too. It's pricey, even with the 30% off accessory discount Motorola had, but it's a quality SP. This is Made in Japan. You get two SPs and some dust removal accessories in the package. I didn't need to use them since I went directly from factory SP to the PS SP.
The SP itself is very smooth in feel and glide; not quite glass, but very close. I like the way it feels. The PS Brilliant does show fingerprints but it's not horrible in that regard. The underlying screen's picture quality is still Brilliant as the name implies.
My only nitpick is an aesthetic one: the cutout on the top is not symmetrical (left and right of the center earpiece), but I can give them a pass on that due to the sensors in the top left complicating things.
Is it the best SP for the moto x? I don't know; I am not a SP aficionado and it's the only one I've tried on the X, but I do know I am happy with it.

Depends what you do with your phone. Every phone I've had has been in an otter box with holster.... Or seidio and holster on my s2....So I don't use screen protectors. I had one long ago and it was scratched up quick. Ever since I go without. My s2 after 2 years.... And working construction with my phone always with me.... Had one small scratch that wasn't even noticeable with the screen on. Again tho... My phones are in a holster... So the screen has awesome protection already. And my dirty hands and fingers have never scratched my screens.
My Moto X is now in an otter box defender... But I removed the built in screen protector from the defender... It really made it harder to touch things on the screen. So again... No screen protector now.
If I kept my phone in my pocket, I'd probably use a screen protector. But I'd miss the naked screen feel.

Tempered Armor Glass Screen Protector

Tempered Armor just launched their Galaxy S3 tempered glass screen protector December 2nd. Saw a review video for their Note 3 protector and absolutely loved it (Link if curious: http://youtu.be/Qzhst5jrBtI). I picked it up the same day it released.
It came in two days ago and of course I install it immediately. At first, I thought great, the adhesive is doing it's thing. Then, once I took the blue plastic cover off, the disappointment set it. At a nearly uniform distance completely around the protector, the adhesive doesn't stick. I had used their packaged microfiber and their packaged isopropyl wipes for the install. Thought cool, maybe it will take a few days. And fast forward to today, it still looks the same.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I love how it feels; I've always hated those crappy plastic protectors.
I reached out to Tempered Armor via Twitter and got no help other than them claiming it was user error and/ or the alignment is off. I sent them a Dropbox link with pictures of the alignment and they came back with the protector won't work if it is "off a hair".
Here's our Twitter conversation: https://twitter.com/temperedarmor/status/413801200866574336

So if you are thinking about ordering one, make sure you have a micron microscope to get it aligned correctly.
Meh,
I have had similar problems with SProtectors. I do believe that the glass on most S3's have a slight curve at the outer edge.

Whenever I press down on the outside edge, it feels like the glass protector doesn't even try to stick. I feel like the adhesive wasn't properly applied to the protector before shipping.
What really got me was when customer support mentioned if it was "off a hair" it wouldn't sit right. How are you going to sell a screen protector that has a fault tolerance in alignment of a width of a hair?
Typical lack of customer service or care. This why I try to support companies like, Anker, zero lemon, Amazon. They actually care about quality and their customers. As info,
We have 3 galaxy S3 in my home and all have a slight curve downward at the edges.

I love tempered glass screen protectors. But why spend that much money on that one. I got mine off Ebay and they look way better than the one posted in the OP. The one I have sticks all the way around.
here's an example of one... (not sure which seller I bought from. it's been a several weeks since I ordered.)

I knew of the owner of the company from my days as an iPhone modder. Thought he would be a bit more "in touch" with the community and more helpful than "nope, you broke it. lalalalala can't hear you".

I would like to buy one, but 0.4 ones seems to thick as they seem to raise screen level above some cases lips..
Do you have slimmer one or is that one ok ?

The one I have is .3, so just a bit thinner. on all of the cases I have used, it doesn't interfere with the case. I have used it with the Otterbox Commuter case and it looks fine. Right now, I'm using it with a rubber/plastic case that I found at Walgreen's of all places. There is usually a small gap between the edge of the screen protector and the case. I'll see if I can get a picture up
EDIT
Here's mine with a case and the glass screen on it (sorry pic quality is bad, taken with an Ipad, of course)

Thanks for pic..i will definitely look for a glass thinner than 0.4..
Whenever i put a screen protector on my s3 the touch screen glitches, key presses al over the screen like whenever i press the app drawer it opens my notification bar, whenever i type something it scrolls up,so does that have anything to do with the quality of the screen protector?
