As you've probably read in this thread change is coming to xda-dev this year. One of the important changes is that we are redesigning our frontpage to be a portal where you can find news and other interesting content from xda-dev. I've just seen the first version of the redesign and it is looking very promising, but we need you!
We are looking for newswriters, to provide us with news articles to place on the front page. svetius has stated that it is in the pipe line, but we are waiting for the initial bugs to be ironed out and then some time needs to be spent planning it, etc.
Oh, and we'll need the new servers up and running first .

Hey, been reading this forum for a few days now, while waiting for the desire, im waiting for it to come out on 02 as well,
they have a thread on the 02 forum.. i cant post the link because im new to the forum but if you search 02 forum htc desire it should come up
it looks like 29th is the date but it hasnt been confirmed officially
***EDIT:*** I apologize, a site came up this morning under a "US News" search that stated an official Nov. 17th release for this phone. I don't know why the site came up & did not thuroughly examine the site. It ended up being a UK page. So, rather then have people continue clicking on the link I removed it.

What are you talking about US Verizon for?
Three is a carrier that is getting the phone...outside of the US. The phone launches in the UK on the 17th, which is why it mentions the 17th.

Where did you hear this? I've heard lost of rumors and speculation, but nothing official.
It is now officially announced that Lollipop update will be available from 26th of March

It seems CM 12 update is lined up on 26th March. I would be really happy to see the update rolling, but frankly speaking I doubt it'll be rolled out in time. Fingers crossed & hope for the best.
I saw on gsmarena that u11 is getting SUPPOSED to get oreo late November early December. Maybe we will get it this year or early next year.
