Hello XDA-developers....
Noticed today, that when you´re posting without HTML-Code all the text is shown in one line....
I´m sure this wasn´t so all the time and i don´t want to turn on the HTML-code.
it´s ugly enough receiving HTML-Emails, so I´d like it more without HTML-Code in the postings.
Also it´s very ugly to read the postings, when much text is in it....
Maybe you can have a look at it...

you are right, that should not happen.
this is something that has recently had some code changes.

I think all should be well now: old messages that were posted when stuff was broken now have line-breaks fixed, and new messages shoud work OK.

I was reading a thread up here on XDA over the weekend and I remember seeing someone who posted a mod (it was in a [ROM] thread I believe) that allowed you to type your password/pin and would automatically let you in once it was correct without the need to hit ok (the button was removed).
I remember it saying that you would have unlimited retries and it lets you in once it's type correctly.
I've been searching for about an hour and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone recall seeing this?
I remember the mod just can't remember who wrote it up or if it was rom specific

Can't find that damn thread anywhere found this thread right on top when I was Googling lol :-/ I never use the pin but I shoulda snagged that info when I saw it cuz I meant tto bake it in my rom but was just gonna look it up when I needed it as I was in a hurry when I saw it last

I hope you can help. After upgrading the ota the day yesterday, whenever I change the background and picking a picture from the gallery, it only allows me to choose part of the picture, that is, the vertical form, which gets too zoomed in and looks horrible. Before, I would allow me to choose a different form, more landscapy...
Yes, the backgroudn scrools, but the image quality is HORRIBLE!
Is it happening to you? Do you know how to fix it?

I already answered this question in two threads (one of them yesterday), plus there are a few more about this, its the ROM, Samsung made it that way. Search and youll find out how to fix it.

Please remove this thread. Very sorry for my ignorance, it was late at night and I wasn't think clearly at all. lol, I actually said bootloader instead of recovery through that whole thing.... I found the images first thing this morning after I thought about it and realized I was typing the wrong thing into google lmao.

Im having difficulty using the advanced edit option. I want to edit the title of one of my threads but when I click on the button I get a 502 Bad Gateway error.
I tried using XDA Labs but that failed as well.
Anybody else experiencing this?

England, Virgin Media and whatever we use at work, IE/Chrome..
No matter what I use from where, I always get the same issue. It's really annoying.

Is it doing this on different PC browsers. Sounds like a browser issue BUT it might be something about the thread.
Can you link to the thread in question and just as a matter of interest does it do it on other threads of yours.... like this one?

It happens on Safari as well (sorry to swear like that..ahem..) however it looks like I've just been able to change this threads title so it could just be the individual thread after all.

A couple of years ago, or so.
I had a thread that I couldn't edit the title, so I just used the report post button, and asked that a Mod edit the title for me.
After the Mod edited the title, I was able to edit it myself again, don't remember if some reason why was found or not.

Ok, bit of a disaster here.
I tried to edit the title by adding a period "." at the end of the title.
That worked, however after saving it removed the graphics!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or at least the graphic links you see in the text editor are still there but all screwed up.
You may be able to add them back but it's going to be a pain... sorry.
I have seen this exact same corruption before and I've spoken to bitpushr about it a few times but he could never replicate the problem.
Quite a few people have this happen to them, my feeling is that it happens when the OP uses unusual fonts or characters and it may be too that copying in content to the post from other sources like MS Word etc., causes stray code to get in and corrupt the post. I strongly suspect that's why it was giving you the Gateway error to begin with.
It might be worth re creating the first post without using any copied in text or at least just plain text and formatting within the post... then deleting the existing post one.
This would need to be done very carefully as any accidental deletion of post #1 will delete the thread.
Another method might be to create a new thread, get post one just right and working, then we copy across all the posts from 2 onward to the new thread and delete the old thread.

Thank you for that, I'm trying the advanced edit now...and it seems to work. No gateway error!
Losing the image links isn't a problem - I have the whole thread saved as a TXT file anyway. I normally write the longer posts in Notepad++, I just find it easier. I used to access this site through IE at work and I noticed that the advanced edit messed up the image links there as well. But not if I used Chrome.
I guess I must have put an unusual code in there at some point over the years..hmm.. Oh well, a good excuse for a refresh!
I'll keep an eye on this and, if I have problems in the future, I'll bear your advice in mind. :highfive:

502 gateway error again when I try to update the post with new text and a new title. I'll try just updating the title for now. Maybe I need to rewrite the post that much sooner!

Agh! good some progress at least.
So the idea of getting a Mod to slightly edit the title works then. Except:silly:, don't get me to do it as all the graphics go wrong (I use the WYSIWYG editor too.

The saga continues...
I thought I had this but it looks like I was wrong. Advanced edit works now. I did some trial and error and worked out that error was being caused by one of the mentions I had in there. It looks like I had too many and that's what was causing the gateway error.
But I still can't change the title. I put in a new title and, although I don't get any errors, the title doesn't actually change. It's still the way it was when you changed it.
While I'm trying to get this sorted out, could I please ask a favour? Could you possibly change the title to "[TOOL]Tickle My Android - Decompile & Deodex With Ease"? I normally have the version number in there but I'm beginning to suspect I may have to have a static title rather than one I keep changing...
