I somehow missed the word live. Sorry.
/system/app/LiveWallpapers.apk probably.
The only way I know to use it in another rom would be to mount the /system partition as read/write and push that apk over top of the existing one. But I do not know what that might or might not break, or even work at all.

any ideas? I need the CM6 default live n1 wallpaper!

I got them working on my desire by using adb. I downloaded cm6, extracted the livewallpapers from system/app and put it in androidsdk/tools and used this command :
adb remount
adb install -r livewallpapers.apk
and voila! got my lovely livewallpaper. if anyone wants just the livewallpapers.apk i can share it.
Thanks cyanogen.
after a reboot i lost the cm6 ones so i ended up pushing them to the phone and that made em permenant. now i just need cm6 boot animation.
The new version with the x. its hard to find

You could also download the NexusMod Live Wallpaper off the Market.

The one in cm6 is different. Its got 4 extra backgrounds an 3 new colours.
The new backgrounds are what i wanted. I prefer them :
cyanogenmod.com/wp-content/gallery/cm-mod/device13.png

Here you go.

Did you ever get this live wallpaper? I downloaded the livewallpapers.apk from the post above mine but it is only the blue one that isn't configurable.

How do I get the stock Android Photo Gallery in Sense?

I hate to say it but I actually prefer the candy coating user experience of Sense to that of Stock Android. While playing with CM5 there were many things I liked and many I didn't. As a result I went back to Sense. Perhaps it just because it's what I have grown to know over the last couple days.
Anyway, the one thing in CM I really did like was the Photo Gallery, which included Picasa. Anyone know what I can do to get that Photo Gallery into Sense?
I think I might play with some other Sense ROMs today. Maybe someone has already done the work for me.
Thanks in advance for any help.
i may be able to make a zip for you. wow im busy tonight. i have to make a theme for the droid/milestone, a theme and two zips for sense roms.

I don't mind doing it myself. I just need a push in the right direction. I'm technically inclined but 3 days new to Android. What exactly am I looking for? Is the stock Photo Gallery a widget or app of sorts?
If you are willing to send me something later, that's cool too. I'm just trying to suck in as much info as possible. I don't want to cook or anything but I'd like to be able to have better control of what I can do to my existing ROM.
Thanks!

it is an app. if you want a zip i can make one. if not, the app is located in the system/app folder of cm5. all you have to do is put the app in the tools folder of the sdk and adb push gallery.apk /system/app in rcovery.

So I installed the app and it seems to be working just fine. Thanks.
I'd like a widget or something for it so it's open on a home screen without needing to open the app. Additionally, is there any modding of the app file that I can do fix or remove the camera button. It doesn't seem to work in Sense.
Thanks again for all your help.
not that i know of.

There is the possibility it could also be a widget. I may be mistaken, but I think unless you actually installed the gallery, in order to use the widget you'd have to delete some file. Again, I may be mistaken, I haven't tried this.
EDIT: I'm just thinking this because I remember in order to properly remove the Facebook/Twitter/etc widgets from stock, one had to remove some sort of database to force a widget database refresh, because it only does that on a legit (un)install

yeah give them a try, they look really good
it seems whatever CM7 version mods he has on his website are using the old update method, so wont work with CMR3. and pushing the framework-res.apk manually gives a boot loop, so hmm. ill have to contact him and see whats up...
You just have to use amend2edify I think that's what its called there is a script floating around that makes things work in 3.0

thanks for the tip. i also found out that the CM7 versions on his website arent for the DInc. the folders within the framework-res.apk all have "-v4" tacked on the end. example: they are named "drawable-res-v4" instead of what the DInc CM7 has "drawable-res." and you cant just rename it because then the XMLs wont link to the files properly. and i dont know how to compile those so, ill have to see what i can figure out... thanks tho.

[Q] Nexus Swype?

Has anyone gotten a hold of the new swype for the Nexus S?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=SNNoEgY5emg
It looks nice and the new features are pretty cool.
did you try to get it through http://sprint.swype.com/android/get/ yet?
Yeah it didn't work
how far did you get with it? because you need to uninstall the stock swype app before attempting to install. I haven't tried to install this one but I assume it's similar to installing swype beta, which I have had success with.

We'll u would need the build.prop from an ns4g on ur comp or sdcard...(probably have to download rom) and open both in text edit. It will probably be the lines before # end build properties.
Should look like this:
ro.build.description=SPH-D700-user 2.2.1 FROYO EC05 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=sprint/SPH-D700/SPH-D700/SPH-D700:2.2.1/FROYO/EC05:user/release-keys
Copy/paste the same lines from the ns4g build.prop.
Here is one i modified from the EH06 build.prop...
I am making a nandroid backup now before i try it out.
If anyone else wants to try it here it is.
From what I read on nexus s forums they check carrier also somehow

I use to own a TP2. It's very nice. It had a special feel to it if you ask me. That's why I always think that our Epics are more than capable of handling Sense, because my old TP2 could, except I think it was 2.1 with touchflow 3d. The thing that stuck out the most to me was how badass my weather looked, and that gorgeous flipclock animation. They were so fluid and realistic. I so wish there was a port. =(

not exactly answering your question, but just go with TeslaLED from the market. It's brighter than the stock flashlight and has shortcuts and widgets to make it more easily accessible.

Hmm strange, mabey check the permissions and owner / group should be rw-r--r-- and root / root. Mabey it depends on another apk that that you dont have installed. I deleted the flashlight.apk and then flashed the zip i provided and it imstalls opens and turns on the leds just fine still.

No problemo.
My only beef with TeslaLED is that there is an "HTC Sense" themed widget, but it's designed for Sense 1.0. It doesn't match with any of the 2.1/3.0 hybrid ROMs, and certainly won't match with Sense 4.0 once I get my Inc 4G (whenever that ends up being released)
