Reset phone now facebooks not working? - Desire General

Hey.
I just had to hard reset my Desire because FriendStream messed up & kept force closing.
Now its all back & restored everythings fine except facebook.
When i try to update the news feed i get the message
"An error acoured while trying to fetch data [nul]"
Also... It no longer gives me my facebook contacts in my phone book, all i have is my google contacts, ive tried re-syncing & clearing data, uninstalling, re-installing but nothing seems to fix it.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Friendsteam force closing

I was using my desire when it suddenly rebooted itself, now friendstream wont work.
When i hit refresh on the widget is says no recent info/posts and shows a blank feed, but when i open the app to adjust or check the settings it keeps force closing?,
I have deleted any apps i installed today incase there interfearing with it but it hasnt helped, so i went to manage applications and cleared the cache & cleared all data from friendstream aswel, but still nothing!
Is anyone else had this problem?

I have exactly the same problem. I think you saw your phone reboot because it was updating its firmware. I am on Vodafone and I just updated my firmware and that's when I started having the exact same problem with friendstream.
A vodafone admin on their forums suggested that I should factory reset my phone and restore from backup on the SD card. I did it but it didn't restore my contacts, themes or apps properly. I have a feeling that the contact information isn't compatible with the new firmware. This is probably what is causing the problems.
I suggest you back up all your phone numbers with HTC sync. ie don't rely on the SD card backup (that was my mistake) And try doing a factory reset. Your SMSs, bookmarks and Wireless access points should back up fine. Email, apps contacts won't be fine.
But did that fix the friend stream problem for you?

This happened to me.
I removed my Facebook account from the phone (settings -> accounts & sync). Then simply set it up and logged in again.
I tried removing accounts and adding them again, did not solve issue, contacted htc, they suggested a hard reset aswel
EDIT: hard rest solved issue

[2.10.405.2 OTS] friend stream widget

since updating to 2.10.405.2 stock firmware the friend stream widget hangs showing updating on the bottom bar. some times it show new posts other time it does not , seems only to be when manually updating / refreshing.
resting the phone / force closing the widget or removing it and re adding, when it reloads it show all posts and time when updated.
I have tried stopping the services and clearing the data/cash without success.
does anyone has any suggestions?
when this happened to me it was actually a problem with facebook/twitter
if you have the actual apps you might want to check if you've entered the right usernames/passwords etc
if it was working when you first installed the system then a hard reset would fix the problem, meaning either your information is incorrect or even when you reset you re-created the problem.
thanks. i can log in to facebook and twitter no problems and go in to the friend stream app, its only a problem with the widget.
Since i've started my adventure with Desire I have problem with Friendstream widget. It updates itself when it wants and never when I want it. Sometimes it is stuck for 2 days.

Facebook app not loading messages/inbox properly

The facebook app does not load new messages on my phone... it still notifies me of new messages, notifications, news feed, and all others properly. But items in my inbox don't list updated items and when I open a thread it doesn't show the new message... it seems stuck... I tried to clear cache, and uninstall it the re-install it to no avail. Logged in and logged out, still the same...
Anyone encountered this or know a fix for it?? I'm using the updated app which is updated from the stock app... if uninstall the updated, it reverts to stock... And that's fine....
Help meeeee... Thanks

Does it come with with metatag information? Like in a black foreground error that disappears? I got that over and over again while being attached to wifi in the hospital. It even cleared out my messages on facebook from the error.
nope, didn't have any errors.... my messages when seen on the computer are fine. But, do not appear properly on the Facebook app.... new responses don't get updated and shown. I tried the manual update on the menu to no avail. So currently, I'm just using the mobile site instead, where I'm quite comfortable to use anyways. But would like if the app runs ok again.

Contacts FC-ing

My Contacts application is suddenly force closing every time I want to activate it. I think it is fc-ing after the new WhatsApp update. When I checked my contacts within Whatsapp, it suddenly fc-ed. And from now on it is fc-ing all the time.
Allready removed the app, data, (dalvik) cache. I even installed a new rom (which I wanted to do anyway ). But then again, after restoring everything with TBP: Force Close.
What do you guys suggest I can do? It is now becoming quite annoying.
Run fix permissions. That fixes a lot of FC

Already done that. Didn't help either.

Didn't you install app with contacts sync lately?
what about clearing data on contacts and people and then resync to grab them back?
Last thing I remember is that I've installed the new update from Whatsapp and that is when it crashed. I already did uninstall WhatsApp, but still a FC. Already wiped all my data from contacts. Seems like everything I tried, failed.
Also delete all data from Contacts.apk.
Okay finally I found the problem. Google+ and the contacts of the app seems to cause the force colsing. Uninstalled Google+ (since I'm not really using it) and everything works fine!

android.process.acore has stopped

I have a Verizon LG G3 running stock/rooted 4.4.2.
Today, for the 2nd time, I started receiving the unfortunately, the android.process.acore has stopped error It pretty much just constantly pops up, non stop.
Last time a few months back, I fixed it with a factory reset (annoying).
Today, it started again. I tried clearing contacts and contacts storage and google service framework, but none of that helped.
Wound up doing another factory reset.
This time, it was working fine until I added an exchange account to sync calendar and email and then I started getting the error again. I don't think that was the trigger though because of what else I figured out.
It appears as if I uninstall facebook, the error goes away. I tried uninstalling facebook, clearing contacts and contacts storage and then reinstalling, but it starts again once it gets reinstalled.
I've done this back and forth enough times now that it's clearly being caused by the facebook install. It starts as soon as I log into facebook after I install it.
I guess at least it's nice to know I can uninstall facebook and I'm good, but I want to use the facebook app still.
So now what?
I have the same problem but it's with WeChat.
Here's something you can try.
I went into Phone --> Settings and select only to display contacts from Gmail. It stopped error.
