Samsung Official Accessories - Vibrant Accessories

I just got off the phone with the accessories department at samsung and the rep told me, "The accessories will not be available for at least another 3-4 weeks from today."
So for everyone else out there that is waiting impatiently like me, we have about a month left to wait, but as soon as the time passes, we can have our cases, car ounts and desk mounts. hope that helps everyone

Thanks for the heads up i wanna get the desk mount!

i want the desk mount and car mount too, but the real thing i am waiting for is the carbon fiber case they have available for the vibrant. im a huge fan of carbon fiber and it looks pretty slick

Sprint has Evo accessories in

i went to my sprint corporate store this morning to see what universal car mounts they have. I then asked if,they had any cases in and he checked. He came back and was like we do have some in. He texted his district manager to see if he could sell me one. But while waiting, this other sells associate came out and said he couldn't sell it to me cause they're not in inventory yet. Whatever that means. I'm going to stop by there again after i get off work. Hopefully they been then changed shifts.
By the way I did buy a very nice car mount for my Evo. It was originally $39.99 but with my sprint premier customer discount it was like $29.99. I will take pics of it later and post them.

I want that dock too. Take some pics.
Fast take the PIC of the Car Dock
Is it the custom car dock that was shown at the Sprint press conference, or some generic one?

Man how much time it takes you to send us the PICs man ?
when i asked at the sprint store, they said they will be selling evo accessories starting on the 3rd
Sorry for the delay everybody. But when I made my main post I was just clocking into work and didn't have any time to take any pics of the dock. Also I did not buy the actual HTC dock. I bought a universal dock from sprint. But this dock is real sweet. With the HTC Evo dock I believe if you plan on using a case with the Evo, it'll have to be removed before placing it on the mount.
Here is some of the pics of the car mount I bought. Sorry about the smudges on the Evo. I forgot to wipe them off before I took the pic.
is that the 'official' dock? no charging module attached?
What do you guys think about these docks Amzer has? (sorry can't post links)
amzer DOT com/HTC/HTC-EVO-4G/Vehicle-Mounts.htm
I am contemplating getting the universal 8-inch one:

I would love to wait and see if they would release a fully featured kit like the N1, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyway, does anyone have any experience with these? I can't tell if they're bad quality or not. Thanks in advance.

No, it's not the official dock. However, the reason I got this dock instead of the official is because the official dock looks like the Evo will not fit correctly if you have a case on it.
So therefore I bought this universal car mount from Sprint. I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever. And I don't have to remove the case off my Evo when I sit it on the Mount.
I got two cases today
Nice, where did you get those from? Was it Sprint?

can you mount to somewhere other than the windshield? My gps is there and 2 things on the windshield would be too many....I could screw it onto something else though if possible...
If you're talking about the mount I posted then yes you can also mount it to the dash.

I just stopped at the Sprint store and bought a Body Glove case for my Evo. They had several to choose from plus the Screen protectors. He offered me 20% off if I were to buy 2 items. But I'm a Sprint Premier Customer. Therefore, I just bought the case. I already ordered me a Zagg Screen protector.
When I was there, the UPS gut brought in about 6-8 boxes. I'm assuming they were Evos.
The case with the Evo, fits perfectly into my car mount also
I really haven't been too impressed with any Evo cases I've seen so far.
Can anyone give a review of the white with chrome case? A side and front picture would help as well as I heard people saying it was a one piece case.

I actually like the Body Glove case. The other cases seemed a little flimsy to me. I liked the white case also but the chrome on it made me change my mind. And i definitely wasn't going to buy a silicone case.
I'm hoping Bestbuy will have the HDMI docks tomorrow. I want to buy one of those. Then I'll be done.
I've played with the 3 in 1 case, and it's solid. It looks nice, and has a soft touch finish to it.

Noreve tradition case up on their site - due 30th April

Noreve make some of the nicest cases I know (for phones) so quite excited to see them release this one.
It is basically like the Moto Portfolio case as far as I can tell and they are saying it will be in stock on 30th April which is a nice and firm date, whether they hit or not is another matter.
Its a little pricey and I can't decide if the PDair series might be nicer for a similar sort of cost.
Anyway just thought I would share the knowledge as I am still tooing and froing between case choices.

Thank you for this! I cant tell if this case has the appropriate charging cutouts. Also looks expensive, any idea if they ship outside the U.S.?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
It certainly appears to since it is really only held at the corners. I am not sure it is worth it but from my experience of their phone cases I can vouch for their quality. They ship worldwide or at least many places, definitely uk and Europe and Australia

that looks exactly like the new official moto portfolio case
Has anyone bought one of these yet? I can't find any videos of one on YouTube. I can't decide between PDAirs white ugly(ish) stitching or Noreves corner-holding case. The Noreve case looks far prettier to my eye, but I don't think I like the plastic that shows when the case is being used to prop up the Zoom, that and currently it's ~£75.
Decisions, decisions. I am off to NYC at the end of the month and I want a nice case for viewing the Xoom on the plane. If anyone knows of another professional, smart looking case I'd love to hear of it.
*Edit* Okay, I just spent £98 on the Noreve with fast shipping. Probably about £35 overpriced if you include shipping but meh.
same gripe for me as the moto case; why couldnt they just cut a hole for the charger!
Very interested in your experience with it so please keep us posted.

Ten days later, still no case, 3-5 days delivery is what I was quoted when I paid $32.50 for express delivery... Money well spent.
As a follow up, I have e-mailed them today and got a response, after waiting ten days I have to wait another ten days before I will receive it! I paid over $30 for delivery and it will take three weeks to come! What an absolute JOKE, so now I have a $160 case I can't take to New York with me, the whole reason I bought it. And I'm not buying another cheaper one, ~$200 on cases is rediculous. I am so pissed off with them, I don't recommend them at all as far as getting your product in a reasonable timeframe goes.

it has already been 3 weeks since i placed my order, and it still hasnt shipped. after looking at all the other available xoom cases, this is the only one i want... so i wait. i will post photos, and my impressions when it arrives.
Just an update for those of you that might be interested in the Noreve xoom case. They are apparently having production issues right now, with a lot of new cases coming out all at once.
I'll just add to Kalavere's warning that the Noreve case cannot be recommended at this point.

Aye, apparently they messed up the production of the Xoom cases. I got an e-mail from them to say something of the like which is why I now have to wait 3+ weeks to receive mine. I'd steer well clear at least until I get mine which will be sometime before the 6th of June I am told, not that I'm even in the country to receive it, *grumble, grumble...*
@Kalavere
Surely at this point unless you still really want it you could ask for a refund although they do make nice cases they are expensive IMO and in the past I've tended to use PDair whose quality I have always found to be excellent. So far I just have the Motorola gel protector and am not sure what else I'm going to get yet but am considering an easel type stand and a neoprane case as have seen some nice ones on E-Bay and it works out at under £20 for both.
Marc
Well I came back from the States yesterday after a week or so away and I still hadn't received it, 28 days later...
I e-mailed them yesterday and demanded a refund, as they will only refund after a 30 day period has passed and you haven't received the product. I got a response this afternoon with a refund. They also had the cheek to respond to my English e-mails in FRENCH. I won't buy another product of theirs again, ~£100 for a case direct from the manufacturer is overpriced, and they are rude and incompetent.
I was forced to buy the official Moto Xoom case from Carphone Warehouse before leaving for the US, and I think I'll be sticking with this one, cheap and it works. I don't use a case at home so it's only for transporting it.
Bottom line, if you really have to buy this case, avoid buying it directly from Noreve like the plague.
I've had the noreve case for a couple weeks, and although it is very well built, it has a very negative impact on the xoom's wifi radio. It cuts my signal in half and web pages take forever to load... or don't load at all. As soon as I take the case off everything goes back to normal. Its weird. Xoom wifi.

G-Form extreme sleeve for ipad fits the tab

I have always been disappointed with the level of protection offered by cases available for the tab 10.1. Seeing how I am planning on commuting on my bicycle throughout the winter I wanted something with more protection than the samsung book cover. I have came close to purcahsing a gumdrop case on a couple different occasions but I just wasn't happy with the lack of a stand and no screen cover. After searching for a couple weeks I decided to go out on a limb and purchase the G-Form Extreme Sleeve 2 for the ipad.
It is a little spendy selling for around $60 shipped on ebay but I have to say I am very happy with the quality of this case so far and it feels like it could absorb some impacts if (or when) I take a tumble on the ice and snow.
This case fits the tab perfectly with the samsung book cover on and there is definitely room to spare when the tab is in the nude.
I am not affiliated with g-form in any way I just figured I would let people who want a more protective case for their tab that this case is an option.
Here is a link to their web site:

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You... I've just bought my Tab (1 hour ago) but i knew about that awesome case long ago as my friend has it for his iPad... Thanks a lot for sharing the info... i'm getting this with another case to act as a type stand and for reading

Happy New year to someone..

So I purchased the Samsung official Book Cover in black listed below from Best Buy on release day for $80.00.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EF-BP600BBEGUJ
I loved how sleek and slim it is and it seems to work well for auto sleep etc. I need a case with more protection since I put my tablet in my laptop bag with tons of stuff so I bought a couple cheaper cases off Amazon and forgot to return this case in time SOOOO... I'm willing to send this to a good home, if it will be used, for just the cost of shipping!! PM me for details.
Have a nice day!

[Mini-Review] Winnergear Montar Universal Car Mount-Nexus 5

Winnergear asked me to do my mini-review on the Montar Universal car mount and I obliged . Being I do a lot of accessory reviews here to give back to the great XDA community, here is another one for ya. I know there's another thread about it, but I didn't want this post get buried in the thread so....
I got this yesterday and decided to do a day of testing before doing one of my reviews. I usually just pop the box open and post pretty much right away . But not this time! I was busy at work anyways lol.
First off, the box is the normal boxes that you see from time to time and it is a nice small frame box, but in transit, if not boxed, will be damaged in transit. The mount includes a mounting disk for your dash for even more sticky-ness. I already have one installed due to my old gps units.
When I first tried it out in the truck, I peeled off the protective cover of the adhesive sticky pad side, which is a lot like the Nexus Wireless charger backing. Once you feel it loses any tackyness, just wipe with a damp paper towl and it's magically refreshed. I placed it on my dash plate and it immediately stuck. Pushed down the lever to anchor it and this thing is not coming off! It will tear off my dash plate before coming off. Really impressive.
I currently have a Seidio Ledger flip case and was curious in how this universal would fare with it on. I thought, because of the grippy rubber red "teeth" it should grab and hold anything you throw at it. Was I right? Yep lol. Ok that is pretty cool. Using a flip case and placing the flap on the back or even have the hinge side of the case facing down and letting the cover flap open with gravity. Either way works and works well. The phone is not dropping from this device.
Before moving on, the base is nice and sturdy and the ball joint is maneuverable and can do a 360. Smooth operating. You just unscrew the area where the ball joint is and then adjust accordingly. What I usually do is just unscrew it just enough where it can move around pretty well and then when satisfied screw the joint adjuster until tight so the phone won't flop around. Another thing is that the grips open on both sides. So you can do a one handed mount. I have not perfected the one handed dismount yet, but that's fine lol.
Anyways, the phone is pretty much anchored where ever you place it. Overall, this a premium universal mount, if you can call it that lol. I can see this fitting many many type of cases without any issue. And the sticky mount is the best I have tried so far in the car. Can I recommend this? Well it is a premium device as I said, so the cost of the mount is around $35 USD. Not too high up, to me just at the top side of my range on what I would spend on a dash mount. Being this a really good one, I feel good recommending it to anyone that is willing to pay for what you get. A solid universal mount that will last past this N5 and many others IMO.
Pros:
Size is middle range.
Can pivot 360 so you can see your device at any angle.
Rubber teeth holds firm
Sticky pad is VERY sticky.
Cons:
Sticky pad can get dusty really really really fast.
Color is shiny gloss black like other car mounts I have used with the exception of the Xenomix brands which are matte black, but much more expensive. As a result, can get scuffed like mine is on the back side.
Wishlist:
Cord management
Or ability to house a wireless charger pad by an insert or different "grip".Not an engineer, sorry lol.
Recommend? Yes over any Arkon mount you can throw at it. For being that I can get it in the US pretty fast, I can recommend this. Will I stop using my Kenu Airframe? Probably not, but this is a great alternative.
Any questions, please ask away! Oh I'll be getting a Spigen SGP Neo Hybrid case where I can test with that on as well. I don't foresee any problems, but just a FYI.

Might be a strange question, but has anyone actually bought a Montar mount and received it? It seems like every review I have seen was when Montar has sent the person one to review. I tried to order one last year and I found a lot of negative feedback about the company claiming they never received their item or it took months for them to actually get it. I ended up buying a similar mount on Amazon. But yeah, just curious has anyone actually bought one from them and what was the service like?
EDIT: Sorry, disregard my post. I just saw your Amazon link. When I originally was going to order it it wasn't on Amazon but on their own site which is what was getting negative feedback.
I received mine long time ago ... Amazing mount , built to last ...
Nice review. Thanks
no doubt .. it's the best !
+1
Can you give us the measurements of the dock? I'm mainly after the height and also the max width of the grip. I have a 9cm mat that I want to mount if possible. Thanks!
Nice
