[Q] Clock vs. Battery Meeter in Title Bar Solution - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I like having the "Display Clock on the Title Bar in all programs" option on, so I can keep an eye on the time no matter what is going on, but when using this option the "Battery Meeter" in the Title Bar disappears...I guess it's an either or thing...
Anyone know how to have both?

Flashing a custom WM6.5.x ROM would allow you to have both. Unfortunately, WM6.5 doesn't seem to support both icons in the taskbar at the same time.

There are some great apps that show the battery state across the top of the device as a colored line. Do a search on AvianWavesBattline for that one.
Or I recommend the BattClock program, which allows you to put up a lot of information in the taskbar.
I actually use both...

Cool! I've seen the AvianWavesBattline before, forgot about it, thanks! I have to look up the other one.

I use BattClock too and am happy with it - have it showing the time, battery % and free RAM.

Quick Question

I just installed WM6 to my 8525 and there is a new icon down by the battery and comm manager icons. Its a little phone with a red circle, could someone fill me in as to what that is? Thanks

It is a "manners mode" indicator. It lets you know that you have the ringer off. Kinda silly (IMO) since the vibrate icon is in the top bar.

There used to be registry hack floating around to get rid of the manners mode. I'd love to get rid of it if I could find it.

How do I check the Battery Status?

I searched on here, but couldn't seem to find it.. I've looked in the manual, but nothing.
When you click the top banner bar it takes you to the notification screen, even when you click on the battery. I just wanted to know if there was a way to check the battery without just relying on the 4 bars?
The notification screen tells you the battery % remaining, and if you click it it takes you to the battery option.

Press the start menu in the top left of your home screen. Choose "settings", then choose the "system" tab. On there you will find an icon labeled "power". That will take you to a 10%-increment battery meter.
Yeah, I was hoping there was a better way to look at it than having to go through all that every time.
I guess on the sprint version it doesnt show it in the notification screen..
You are right, it's not on the Sprint version.
You could intall the 1% increment battery driver and a custom taskbar that shows the percentage of the battery.
thats too much work.. and I kinda like the normal htc taskbar.. ah well
The 1%-driver will only change the look of your power-info....not the whole taskbar!

person 2: "install this and you will have it the way you want it"
person 1: "thats too much work and im lazy, besided i like it the way it is now anyways"
I installed batti and really like it.
It's a really small prog that displays a color-coded bar across the top of the screen. You can adjust colors, bar thickness, and when it shows up and when it doesn't. give it a shot.

its not at all that im lazy, its that I like the original taskbar that comes with the phone.
I've done that with previous phones I've had.. and to tell you the truth, most of the task bars that people "think" look cool just make it look weird and gaudy.
for once, I want to install as little tweaks as possible to the phone to get it the way I want. I was just simply seeing if there was something I was missing with regarding to checking the battery status. On ANY other PPC I've had, all I had to do was click on the little battery icon and it would do the job for me.. but not this one. Thats it

You could extract the file(s) and change them yourself if you don't like the taskbars out there. I can't remember the exact file name(s), but you can do a search and there is a thread floating out there that tells you how to edit them.
my screen calibration was off just a touch so everytime i hit the battery icon it took me to the running programs tab. just my .02
For anyone looking to change their status bar, I strongly suggest BATTI. It is one of the first things I install whenever I flash a rom. You can customize the colors and actions, and with the 1% cab installed, it gives a pretty accurate battery reading at just a touch. One last thing, it will warn me when I hit MY low settings (ones I stated, not that Tmous or HTC set).
I wish I could remember the original thread, but I have had this for years (on my Wizard). I'd be happy to upload the cab if after a search you cannot find it.

i appreciate your help. i know this application is good (according to lots of people's feedback) but it is not convenient. basically if i go the setting> battery saver, i can see the percentage number over there too. i really do not think an independent application just showing the percentage value make any sense. by the way, the live title will drain the miserable battery which is not what i want.
again, i appreciate your input.
to bad, MS can not implement such easy task.

The background service runs once every 30 minutes, updates the tile and stops again. That's not really draining the battery

Its doable. Since xboxmod has already made a custom taskbar which has to be installed via his cab only available on certain roms though.
I tried really quick couple weeks ago to edit his icons with my own to have him resign it. They are located in a DLL just like windows mobile. When I made my own taskbar back then there was an icon for each 1% increment. Now back then there was a separate reg edit to get the % to show on the taskbar. But you could just use gimp and make a transparent layer with the % over the existing icon after using Reshacker( that's what I used couple weeks ago and couldn't find the icons, though worked fine on wm, possibly not able to read wp7 dll's ????) to extract the icons from the dll, then replacing the icons in the DLL after you add the % layer.
Would take a while. Just nobody has done it yet. If someone can tell me how/ where to get the icons from xboxmods taskbar I'd take on the task, might take a week or so though.

Battery percentage on the notification panel

Hi everyone, just got LG G7 from tmobile. I am confused, almost on every picture on the internet I see battery percentage in the top right corner of the screen. In my case in order for me to see battery % I need to pull down the notification panel. Is there a way to fix that? I already went to battery settings and switched on the option to show the battery % in notifications panel. Please help.

I was about to post the same question so I'm looking for the answer too...
If you go into Settings and then Battery, there is a toggle that says "Battery Percentage on status bar".
---------- Post added at 21:31 ---------- Previous post was at 20:51 ----------
Ok, I was just messing with it and you are right. It will never show it in the notch but it toggles that option in the notification drop down.
I love the phone, but seriously, what is the point of calling this a second screen if you still have to pull down the notification bar to see the icons?
I hope they add an option for always show icons....

Oh you know what, he's right. I been too busy gaming to realize it shows all the time outside of games.
Well as you can see in the screenshot below, it does not show up on the T-Mobile version of the G7

I have T-Mobile variant and it does show on mine. Did you update the device?
I'm on T-Mobile, and it's showing just fine for me, no pull-down required. Toggling "Battery percentage on status bar" in Settings | Battery toggles it off and on (for me, anyway).
I did a factory reset and now I have the percentage in the notification bar. Perhaps it a bug??
Has to do with display size. Turn it all the way down.
Go to:

You need to enable two things for this to work.
Go into Settings and then Battery and turn on "Battery percentage on status bar". \
You also need to select Standard from New Second Screen settings.
