2x Battery + charger 2000mah($13.00) - EVO 4G Accessories

Gonna try them out...not sure what i'm gonna get but for 13 bucks worth a try
http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-2000mAh-Batt...330459330057?pt=PDA_Accessories#ht_4942wt_911

Highly doubtful 2000ma batteries, probably 1500ma batteries that are really 1300ma. Tutoit on ebay I have 2x1500ma batteries for a 9.98$ shipped with a charger, I would get that instead.

yeah, either get the 2 1500s and the charger for 11 50

I was just looking at this... seems like a great idea... the extra charger allows you to keep a second battery charged without using the EVO to do it. Even if it's really a lower rated battery... still a good deal.
Did you try it?

I ordered it, but still waiting...those hong kong shipments take a while, i'll let you know as soon as I test it out

I have a set of the 1500 mah batteries with the charger as was posted above, and I have no problem with them. I use my OEM battery most of the time, but sometimes it is handy to have some fully-charged back-ups. Honestly, I don't see much of a difference between what my OEM battery lasts and the knock-offs. For the price, you can't beat it.

so how are the batteries?

normally i would stay way from cheap Chinese crap on eBay, but with what i read here on the xda boards in regaurds t othe ok qualitybeing good enough that they might work out, so i ordered 2x1850 plus charger from ebay. i dont have time to do any real testing but i can say that:
1 not having to charge the battery from the phone is nice
2 i always have one on the charger, one in my pocket and one in the phone.
3 charging in the base seems to get me a better charge
4 i cant tell a difference between oem and knock offs, although you would think that the 1800's would last longer than the 1500oem but we know how that knock off crap goes. in my book if they are the same as oem, regardless as to what they claim and dont require a bigger back plate, then i guess that's good enough.

The 2 from tutoit or what ever the sellers name is work great last as long or longer then my stock battery. The charger also gives a better charge to the batteries then I get through my phone I'm talking extra hours when I charge with it.

I got this and it's a good deal for the price.
The batteries aren't as good as oem. Probably last 75-80% as long.
The charger works well though and it's nice to have a couple extra batts laying around. I've only cycled them 4 or 5 times so I suppose the life could improve...time will tell.

I Have a number of Minor issues with mine. Must of gotten a bad set.
1) USB port on the charger does not output enough juice to charge the phone (Accually Locks it up until I unplug it)
2) Charger seems hit or miss on recharging the Stock Battery. I've left it plugged in all night and come back to ~20% charge when I pop it in a number of times
3) Random Screen cut off when charging the Replacements IN the phone.
So I only charge the Ghetto batteries in the charger provided.
That being said, I STILL think it's a great deal and more than happy with my purchase. I have 2 spare batteries for my phone (Or the wifes CDMA Hero) and a way to charge one w/o having to leave my phone behind (I don't have to babysit my phone for a charge, If someone walks out of the poker room or party with my charger and battery it's no big deal) The 2 China batts. are just emergency tanks, The Red one gets put back in as soon as I get home.

Best Purchase at twice the price.
Don't wait press the BUY NOW!!!!
Loved the first set so much that I purchased a second set 2 weeks later. I keep 1 set at work and 1 set at home. I always carrying a fully charged battery in plastic bag in my pocket. I love the EVO but hate the battery life. The first month I owned the EVO was hell for me having to carry a power charger and cable everywhere. I hated having to plug my phone in every time I found a power outlet worried if I didn't I may find myself without a phone when I needed it or having to fight everyone at the airports for power outlets. Now when I'm low on juice, I just switch batteries.... BUY NOW you'll never regret it....

I purchased 2 3500 batteries with new backs on e-bay for $22 and change. They work great I can go for over a day with fairly heavy usage.
Only minor problem was that with the phone thicker my silicone case doesn't fit as good. Extra weight no problem.

Yeah one thing I have learned from buying these types of batteries and charger is that they don't like to charge the OEM batteries but charge the cheapo ones just fine. I've noticed it on alot of things not just phone batteries.

buy it for the charger
i bought a 2000mAh that turned out to be a 900mAh so i would only buy it for the charger.

I wouldn't recommend the 2 x 1500 batteries plus charters the 1500's seem like a 1300 or a little less I would say try get the 1800 one from eBay they have a lot of auctions for them so all you gotta do is be patient and try to get for cheap that's what I'm tryin to do

Just ordered one of the 1800mah.. will see how this works out!

Yeah the android system doesn't really care, it measures the battery in percentages.
I've got a cheapo 2000mAH that I picked up for my Hero, it lasts a little longer than the OEM battery. I do notice a difference. When my phones battery is low, I can tell what battery is in it without opening it, just because I know how long I've been off the charger.
They're cheap. You can also find a deal for 2 1500 mAH batteries and a wall charger for $10. I went with that..
I'm buying one because they are red lol.. j/k well for $10 more than the China seller, you get "300mAH" more and this guy is in California so shipping should not take close to a month
I was expecting to be able to offer him $10, but he has that set on auto reject so I just went with the 2x 1500 mAh for $10.
I wonder what brand these batteries actually are? If they are just rebranded Mugen's, then according to batteryboss.org they are worse than OEM 1500mAh.
this seems like a good deal http://cgi.ebay.com/1500mAh-Battery...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43a048184b

not quite sure what you mean, but ultimately yes, they are all from china. I just thought it was a good deal, but too bad it wasnt shipping from somewhere in the US. I'm not too thrilled to order things from across the world.
I bought the 2x plus charger for $10...They seem to be holding up pretty well, maybe a bit shorter life than the stock one, but if you have three batteries and can rotate through 2 of them while keeping one on the charger, you'll never have to plug your phone in again...I would say BUY BUY BUY, for the price, you can't go wrong, it's worth the standalone charger with a built in usb port.
I am using the 10$ 2x1500ma with the charger... free shipping too. I have only been using one of the Chinese batteries, they are great, they last about, or maybe a little less. I just put the real and the spare one in my wallet... so beast.
I doubt those things are even 1800mAh, they are probably the same 2x1500+Wall Charger $10 deal just a different color/sticker. Its the same exact charger and same exact sticker thats on the 1500mAh ones just it says 1800mAh and the battery color is red.
I purchased the $10 2x1500mAh + Wall Charger bundle about a week ago and have been putting them through their paces ever since, they have been fine for me. About the same as an oem battery, maybe a tiny tiny bit less but nothing really noticeable unless you have OCD like me lol.
I would just spring for the $10 one, search my threads if you need the link. Best of luck.
I know the OP has already purchased the 2x 1500 mah batteries, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents for anyone else thinking about batteries.
I bought the 2x 1500 mah batteries plus charger too. I don't see any difference between them and the OEM battery. I actually do wish they were red so I could use them if I buy the clear battery door that's being discussed in another thread, but not enough to spend twice as much.
We just did a week-long vacation and I bought six batteries for my wife and me to share (coming from the iPhone I went a little crazy). We often switched a battery while out all day, but the only time I needed to use three was when we flew back -- which was a 15 hour ordeal due to a canceled flight. Thank god I had all the battery power I could need without having to resort to $75 external battery packs.
I also bought two of the 1500 mAH batteries, and they seem to work fine. I haven't really noticed much of a difference between the cheap ones and the OEM battery.

why is it the same or worse, not better?
no one has shown that those cheap batteries last any longer then an OEM battery.
It would be awesome if someone would prove they last longer - but many people say they last about the same or less.
If anything they are not very reliable... and will just up and die (as in will no longer charge).
you get what you pay for.
OK here is the answer that you are looking for. Don't waste your money on the Battery. mAh in a battery really comes down to battery design and how much of a charge the battery can hold. If you have a 1200 mAh battery and a 1500 mAh battery you should expect the 1500 battery to be larger in size and or a better design. Since I doubt that you can get a better design in such a low price and the OEM battery sells for roughly $40, don't waste your time and money buying those batteries off e-bay. You run a risk of the battery not working, and even worse with such a cheap design, you may even get a battery to 'leak' power too fast and you will end up frying your phone.
I bought a spare off eBay for 3$ works just fine but it does last about as long as the oem battery, I'd go almost as far to say its the same battery since it has all the same logos and certifications
Only cons are that I need about 3 of the batteries to last me through the day (data hog)

What are you doing on the phone that makes you charge it so often?
I've only had mine for four days and still on the AT&T ROM, but in my normal use (Exchange sync, GMail, SMS, bluetooth & Market), I'm only charging it at night and even then, the battery gauge shows more than half full. I guess I'm not a heavy user.
haha, no you are definitely not a heavy user.
A heavy user can take the battery from full to empty in 4 hours of heavy data use, and even less time with heavy voice use.
Ok, that makes me feel better about having to charge mine during the day... now if I could find a longer cable so that I could actually use it while on the charger....

For this being only your second post, it sure does look a lot like spam advertisement.
Considering the hellfire conflagration a bad Lipo Battery can cause, I would be nervous about buying cheap knock-offs. If Seido charges $70 for these and someone else charges $4, you gotta wonder what you are getting. I doubt Seido has a $66 markup on their batteries.
it's not something just a deal on a cheap. battery if you want a spare or if like me your charge port is broken and use a few batteries and wall chargers, if you want to spend $9 for the same battery with a back cover go ahead, not Spam just a good deal, show me a better deal for a cheap extended battery. like I said I don't charge the batteries using my phone so these work great, good to charge and leave in the car or plus its always have a normal sized battery in my wallet

TEP covers broken usb ports too. I got a brand new Evo when I took mine in for repair.
I bought my evo used but tried to do the Touchstone mod and messed up sodering or something and now the charging port does not work and the g sensor doesn't work, but I do not miss cord charging I got like 5 batteries and 3 external chargers, that cost me like $30 for all that off cheap ebay sellers, so I always have like 3 batteries always charged and ready to go, don't even miss cord chargers any more

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Seidio had that large of markup considering they sell cases with a holster for $50. Which of course is just two pieces of molded plastic with a bit of psuedofelt and rubber finish. And which in my case, started to fall apart within 6 months after purchase. Frankly I don't think Seidio is the slightest bit better than the cheap eBay sellers, they just make a lot more money based on the perception that the charge more so they should be better.

Exactly alot of companies leverage their name so they can sell the same thing as other suppliers at a higher markup. It's good to know that alot of "manufacturers" don't actually make their own product, they actually contract out alot of their products.
Eh... $4, i'll bite.. We'll see how it works out.
Total for this and an external charger was like $7, so not too much money lost.

I purchased a couple things from them already off of ebay. Shipping was a couple days longer than I expected but they are reputable. My battery I got from them also works great...
Finally got around to testing it...
Charged it with the phone off, unplugged and turned it on.
Charged it until indicated green then unplugged then powered down.
Repeated this process four times until icon indicated 100% power.
So far I'm down to 11% and have been going 42 hours and 50 minutes with my normal use (texting, couple calls, light internet use, light gaming).
All in all for $4, great purchase. I was even more so surprised when the eBay seller contacted me and told me it would not fit with the stock battery door (I already knew that personally). They informed me that I would be getting a battery cover I believe, or a full refund.
I didn't mind either, so I just said whatever works.
EDIT:: Checked my inbox today, and they are sending a back cover it looks like.
"Now the battery cover in stock ,and we have send it to you for first time ,this is the tracking#:removed
Would you pls check it later on www.usps.com"
Fun grammar, so we shall see what this holds in store for me.
Are they still for sale?
I made an offer for the same price as the recently accepted offers and got rejected
When I went back to purchase another, they were $104 and some change.
My thoughts are they realized they did not fit the stock EVO and they needed to revamp their posting and or include a battery door.
Do a search on ebay, I found some by a couple different posters.
I can't post links yet but they are about $10
I charge mine with an exteral wall charger just for the battery, and between my two 3500 batteries in can go two days with each battery, but I usually just swap them every morning

I received my 3500mAh chinese battery yesterday and used it until it died. I charged it over night and unplugged it at 6am this morning. When I first pulled it off the charger it immediately dropped 6%, from 100 to 94. At first I was like WTF but I know the USB/AC Charger is notorious for this so I paid it no mind. It's nearly 3pm here and my battery now has 8% life left. Almost 9 hours battery life... something my 1800mAh chinese battery was already able to do. I know I can't expect much from a $8 battery, but I thought it would put out more juice than my stock one at least.... am i missing something?

So Ebay batteries?

So I know there are a couple of posts on here but I have found them a little hard to follow. I just got my captivate last sunday and on the stock 2.1 rogers rom I noticed that the battery life was very poor. Since then I am now running cog 3.01 i think and my battery life is now alot longer than before.
For the way I would like to use my phone It is still not enough for what would make me happy. my phone is unplugged at 6:00 am and when i get home by 5 it used to be dead but after "breaking in the battery" and the new rom i get home with about %15 percent battery.
I just bought a triple battery pack off of ebay for $10. these batteries are rated at 1500 mAh, the same as the battery that came with my phone. I am just wondering what I can expect from these batteries.
My plan is to drain two of them completely then leave them in my desk drawer(from what I have read if you plan on storing batteries they should be completely drained first) and use one of them plus my oem battery daily(until they start to lose performance). Again does anyone have any experience with a battery of the sort or any similar third party battery?
they are no where as good as samsung oem battery. even though it says 1500mah it is not or will drop drastically after a month or so of use...i've bought a lot of those batteries from ebay and they always like that even some other well known companies like Seidio do not compare with manufacture's batteries. the difference is usable capacity, oem batteries are around 95% compared to cheap chinese ones that are anywhere from 60-80%.
haha thanks that makes sense why they are so cheap, well i will probs by three new ones every months or so.
I have those ebay batteries. I bought the kit that comes with two batteries and an external charger for about $10.
The ebay battery is has about 60-70% of the power of the OEM battery. I have no real hard evidence just from using it for the past 2 months or so.
I am ok that it is does not last as long as OEM because it was only $10 and it came with the external charger. I love the external charger because it allows me to charge a spare battery while I keep one in my phone.

I bought the same ensemble, with essentially the same results excepting perhaps that one of my replacement batteries seems to underperform with about 40% of OEM battery life.
That said, for $10... they're very handy as backups. They'll easily give you a few more hours in a pinch, which is essentially just what I was looking for. I really have no complaints in that respect.
The best strategy for battery life I've found is to buy a handful of wall adapters and position them in places you spend a lot of time at, and to develop a habit of plugging in when you're not moving around.
Sad but true, but mediocre battery life is just kind of a way of life for these (and really all) high-performance Android devices. Excepting getting an outsized and expensive battery replacement like the Seidio 3500 mAh that all but prevents use with many accessories and cases, a couple wall chargers and a car charger are effective if mildly annoying means of managing it.
These generic Hong Kong replacements are entirely effective as emergency supplements, but you'll find yourself preferring the OEM cell still.
Yep I mean for $20 I have two charges and 4 batteries so if I need to go without power , even if not a 100% match for the oem power, it is still damn cheap.
I also got one of these from ebay.
I got the 2x 1500mah batteries + Battery Charger combo.
I must say I am impressed. They are the same quality as my OEM battery. Its so convenient. I never have to run to a charger anymore. Just keep the spare battery in my car or wherever and just pop it in and carry on with my daily business.
When I get home, I just re-charge all the batteries. The Battery Charger even has an LED Light that tells you when its finished. "RED: while charging" and "BLUE: when finished". Charging takes about roughly 3 hours, (just like OEM).
Edit: Been using this for about a month so far. With no problems.. Its the best feeling. My phone is never plugged in anymore. And, I don't have to "pinch the settings" to make my phone last.
IE. lowering brightness to 10%, turning sync off, turning wireless networks off, etc.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
only crappy thing is??? I plan to sell this phone soon, when the Galaxy S 2 comes out, if the specs are good enough.

Would you mind posting the link or giving us the name of the exact vendor you ordered from?... I'm about to order the 2xbatteries and charger combo, but just want to make sure I get batteries that are half way decent. When I search on eBay I get about 20 vendors selling similar combos and given that in HK they're celebrating Chinese New Year... most won't fulfill orders until next week.

Anker 1800mah on Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Batteri..._26?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1316372694&sr=1-26
Read an article in the HTC Sensation forums where many of the posters picked up an Anker battery as a "Why the hell not for $15?" deal and had generally positive results. Did a search and not only does Amazon sell multiple varieties of Anker batteries, but many of them have a ton of positive reviews.
Before all the battery naysayers jump in and shout "You can't get an extra 300mah in a stock battery! It's another chinese scam and it's probably only 1.03mah!" the Sensation people explained it as being noticeably thicker than the stock battery while still fitting snugly inside the battery door. A good 1mm thicker at least.
Anyway, bought myself a pair along with a car charger for $30 for two batteries, a car charger, and a USB charger. Will let you all know if its a huge letdown, or if the positive reviews aren't just Chinese robots blowing smoke up our you-know-what.
Hey can you do a favor? Install battery calibration app from market and tell us how many mV (Milli volts) it say when the phone is truly 100% charged.
interested in seeing how those batteries are
was about to buy one
keep us posted
I've read in some of the comments on Amazon that they work best when the wall charger is used, though that may be because the wall charger keeps it at 100% while charging inside the phone causes the battery to drain down to 90% if left on the charger after it reaches 100%. Of course, the battery monitor won't tell you that to keep Samsung's support lines from clogging.
Thankfully this is Amazon and not the overseas shipping I had to deal with with my last battery, so it should arrive (according to Amazon) somewhere between the 23rd and 28th. Will test it heavily with my current ROM and let you all know how it fairs.

mV will not tell you anything about the capacity of a battery, only how close to fully charged it is.

True. If it's anything like the stock or mugen battery that I have, it'll cap out around 4250 for Froyo, 4200 for MIUI/Gingerbread.
Momax 1700mah is fine and chip.
Well, while discharging the first battery through normal use, I was actually getting a little frustrated that it was taking so long. Got about 24hrs out of it from wall charge to phone shut off, including about 8 - 9hrs of overnight standby.
Got the second battery off the charger and into the phone, and after about an hour it's still showing at 100% and 4100 - 4180ish millivolts.
Anyone, nothing is decided just yet. Will have to see how they hold up after the first 5 full charge and discharges that "sets" the batteries internal memory. Or whatever.
I thought these AOSP ROMS were supposed to drain battery, dammit!
Just about done "Breaking In" the new batteries. Two things: On the surface, they seem to last quite a while given the last time I tested the Mugen battery I was on Froyo and I'm now on MIUI.
From what I've heard, Gingerbread on the Vibrant, whether it's an i9000 leak like Malice or built from the ground up like Cyanogen 7 or MIUI, tends to burn battery faster than on Froyo. I'm also using different voltage settings, a different kernel... you all get the idea.
Apart from flashing back to Froyo, or completely redoing tests on my stock and Mugen batteries on top of the new Anker battery, whatever results I get will be a bit skewed.
Also, MIUI seems to allow the battery to get further down in power before shutting it off. Froyo would often cut me off around 3700, but I usually see MIUI showing battery power as low as 3300 before shutting down.
Your link points to the 2x package...if you look up the batt itself and read the reviews, most will tell you it's basically a cheaper oem replacement

Still a great deal at 11 bucks shipped.... by itself...and assuming it lasts...my original batt that came with my phone died couple of weeks ago... (less than 2hrs on a froyo rom...) had another oem that I'm using now..so far so good, but who knows...this seems like a great buy, but doesn't sounds like it's any kind of gain even with the 1800mAh rating...
Samsung Galaxy SII Touch batteries work in our phones. Tested.
They are 1800mah and can be found for $23 shipped. They are GENUINE Samsung as well so...it WILL be the advertised 1800mah. Just saying.
Even cheaper on ebay : http://www.ebay.com/itm/330601629006?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Sofiz has the Pisen battery for SGS II 1659 mAh, will this work on the Vibrant?
just ordered one too, hopefully it works out
Some reviewers saying battery only charges with wall charger and phone shows unsupported battery message. Those who have the battery please confirm.

I think I went over that at least 3 times already. Battery is a perfect fit. Charging is perfect (USB computer and Wall plug in). EVERYTHING WORKS with it. I wish people would read the topic more. It's only 2 pages. . .
Only reason it wouldn't charge in your phone is if you owned a Fascinate, in which case, get out of our forums, punk!
Ordered one from ebay and pretty happy with it so far. Only had it a couple days so far though and still messing around with different roms and kernels so hard to say exactly how long of a charge i get with it.
Got mine today, charging now. Thanks!
Just recieved mine from amazon, and so far its been great !
I bought the two off of ebay that come with the wall charger. I'm getting much improved battery life right now. I'm very happy with them. Even though they do make the phone slightly heavier, it's worth it IMHO.
