Hi guys,
Ive been searching around and I can't find a Galaxy S theme. There is one called Gala S but that is for the Nexus One.
Anyone able to make one or port over the Gala S theme?

Ummmm....I second that motion..lol

I just finished a new beta for theme-porter. Wht i added was a "hdpi-to-mdpi" toggle accompanied by a renaming loop which will rename the appropriate folders. I just gave it a whirl by testing on framework-res of this galaxy s nexus theme on a D/S framework-res cm6 rc3. Results are not too bad actually, need some minor touch-ups. I'll post that beta in a few on my thread.
Here u go Link

There's galaxy s themes for ADWLauncher on the market. Their not "full" themes, but they change your icons and wallpaper giving you at least some of the "feel" of it. You can also put horizontonal scrolling and the scrolling dots at the top, as well as change the notification bar color though CMsettings.

thanks danesham, I have seen your theme porter before. I wasn't sure if it was going to work. Will give it a go.
Ive looked around for galaxy s ADW themes but I couldn't find any, are they on the market? Are they called Galaxy S theme?

Launcher pro or ADW text icons

I've seen a few people in the show us your homescreen thread who have text icons for the apps in their dock, I.e. sms, phone, net etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting them? I have both adw and launcher pro plus so either would be good(although my preference would be for adw) thanks in advance.

Nice work bro, now I have many options, lol....would you guys know how to use custom icons for launcher pro (not in the dock but everywhere else?) I really like launcher pro but adw allows you to customize all the icons/theme so that's what I'm using for now
Wow I'm really diggin the green and red sets that you uploaded, decal. Not necessarily a big fan of either colors (i'm more of a blue guy myself but that can easily be changed) but I think it's the fact that I can actually read them without squinting! lol.
Yeah if you have photo shop you can also make these. I took the launcher pro icons and opened them and made them black to go with my dark theme.

I am using these icons: http://digitalstylewars.com/?page_id=209
with Launcher Pro. Launcher Pro also lets you set custom icons. Just do the following:
1 - Menu->Add or long-press the screen to choose "Shortcuts"
2 - Choose "Applications"
3 - Choose an app.
4 - Touch the icon and choose any of the text icons you have downloaded.

Launcher pro theming help

I want to use launcher pro but im quite confused on how to theme it and where i can find themes too. If someone can aid me that would be wonderful. Thanks

Certain aspects of Launcher Pro are not that theme-able for noobs. For example, the widget backgrounds are not png images but hard coded colors. However, XDA member Signals23 has put together several themes and updates them regularly. Here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=783427
Also, if you check out the forums over at launcherpro there are a few others floating around. I know Benny879 from Droidforums has put together a Gingerbread theme and also a Galaxy S theme for Launcher Pro.

my htc evo runing myns rls5 rom and yes its the **** lls

Apologies if I'm breaking any rules but....

1st off I wanna say no disrespect to the devs...I appreciate all the hard work that goes into all the awesome roms...seems that with all the talk of jellybean and without an official ics release that THEMING has taking a back seat..although i am enjoying team rejects change of pace (annihilation is awesome!) And I love the look of miui but I can't get it to work good enough for me to use as my daily, with that being said I kinda long for the days of a DUSK theme or an all white with black letter theme like the GTX rom I had on my TP2 I think these would look sweet on my et4g...anyone willing to work on anything similar to these?

Yeah..I thought about that after I posted this......just looking for a change of pace...liking the capabilities of what jellybean brings to the table but not the look..and I can see xda getting as flooded with variations of jb as it is with Ics...thanks for the reply though!

I'm telling you guys, you can do it yourself, all you need is a good CM9 or CM7 base rom, find a theme you like for the theme Chooser in that rom, use a themeable launcher, Apex, ADW EX, or SSLauncher, this thread a **** ton of icon sets http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19600116
I use the free app ChargeBar (in play store) for a centered bottom status bar battery bar, I use Rom Toolbox to change system font, I use Android Pro Widgets for Twitter, Messaging, Bookmark, and Calendar Widgets...these have different themes and colors available for the Widgets....Here is a link to some of what I did with SsLauncher...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25394812

Not really any more than having Sense or something like that on your phone, its more of a kernel thing and we have some great evo specific kernel devs over here, you just have to find a pure AOSP rom without all the Sense, TouchWiz, Motoblur overlays, then just add your own Widgets icons launcher dialer keyboard font over that and create your personalized interface the way you want it....
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
was gonna post this elsewhere, but here's as good as a place as any i suppose. for those that want to mess around with theming here's a great place to start. it's a vrtheme template for our phone. It should work with most roms. here's a link with some quick info and the download link with our updated binary. all thanks to the villianrom team for a great template/idea
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/threads/about-villaintheme-system.4971/
http://www.mediafire.com/?ddi2vc7qeg2y44x
basically instead of having to decompile and recompile apk's and have a complete and working apk to flash, this only requires that you place the images, xml's etc in the correct folder structure. everything is in the vrtheme folder in the zip. so to theme a system app, say systemui, you would create a folder called SystemUI.apk in the correct folder structure, namely vrtheme/system/app/SystemUI.apk. then all you have to do is drag and drop the images you want swapped into the proper folder locations. I included an example folder structure for images in drawable-hdpi for systemui and framework-res to get ya started. beauty of this is you can literally drag and drop whole sections of other themes into the template and it will just replace those images on our phone. So if those themes in the OP have same sized images and same names, you could just drag and drop those into the respective vrtheme zip folder and flash away. Make sense? just starting to get this going again on our phones, so mess around, but be careful, I'm obviously not responsible to anything you do
it can also be used to theme paid apps, which is sweet. since your not actually including the apk itself, and the app has to be in the location specified before you apply the theme.

Should I Port These Themes?

If you guys don't mind, have a look at the themes in my sig. I've been considering porting (or re-create, rather) them, since I got my MT4G but I didn't like the device enough to bother. My favorite has been the LBP theme since I had so much fun making the icons. I'll likely create an icon pack for Nova/Apex for the icons but I was considering something cool for the toogles and such too.
If there's any interest, I'll recreate these for the GS3.
Sure sounds good

Sorry about that. I took them out of my signature about a week ago. I'm getting myself up to speed with the Theme Engine (as my old ones were flashable .ZIPs). In the mean time I'm working on icons. [Request] White Theme

I've been looking and looking for a white theme for android 4.3/4.2.2 but have failed to find any.
I'm tired of my jet black/ purple theme.
I've tried to learn how to theme but all the posts i find are rather outdated.
My device is the d2spr running the latest slimbean weekly.
Id like it white/purple. Like the betterbean purple x theme, just white instead of black. With the messaging YouTube Gmail browser phone people and Apollo apps themed the same way.
But i would just like the system messaging YouTube browser and Apollo apps themed. You can do them all if you'd like.
If no one wants to do this at least give me a link to somewhere i can learn, and where all the things files i want to theme are at, like the menus, settings, text, quick settings, etc.
I might be able to but won't start till Thursday

It's not that simple. You'd be better off not using slimbean since that rom comes dark themed. It would take a while to theme just the framework needed to pull this off. Gmail can't be themed at all right now, it breaks the app if you try. I think it will be awhile before you see white theme that is fully functioning on the gs3.
THEMER- the stupidest thing ever to have users add widgets to their homescreens since UCCW and Zooper.
