[Q] Stock HTC keyboard in Custom ROM - myTouch 3G Slide Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

One of the only things keeping me from using a custom froyo rom is the HTC stock keyboard. I love it so much compared to the stock android keyboard (i have tried out the CM froyo roms, don't like the keyboard).
Is there anyway to get the HTC keyboard into the custom froyo roms? If so how?
Thanks guys!

Its called HTC Ime, its only for Sense devices, its not included with Vanilla Android, the get the LatinIME, here is a ported version...

[Q] Sense keyboard patch?

Is it possible to patch the stock sense keyboard in a no-sense rom like CM7?
I know this patch exist for the HTC Wildfire, but it isnt for the HTC DZ.
I'm only using sense roms for that reason, maybe there is a app that looklike. Thanks.
google htc_ime.apk (for virtual keyboard)
Will it work in any rom?

[Q] Best HTC Wildfire Custom Sense ROM?

Hi everyone. I currently have CyanogenMod Nigtly on my Wildfire, but I'm getting bored with the non-sense look. I've already tried searching for a custom sense rom, but most of them has the really old Android OS.
Can anyone please tell me where I can find a good working Custom ROM with sense, and has at least Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 on it?
Thanks!!

This is the closest fully working Sense Gingerbread ROM.
@3xeno Thanks! I see there's a lot of problems with most Sense ROM's.... And not a lot of ROM's are being made with sense included. Why??
Mainly because its so much work porting and resizing a Rom that wasn't designed for us.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Scratch is right. It's simply because official Gingerbread Sense was never released for the Wildfire. Ports from other devices can only go a certain distance.
Rempuzzle
There arnt any stable sense 3.0 + roms so....
I suggest Rempuzzle rom because it supports live wallpapers, sticks to sort of sense look ect
For 2.2.1 Sense based ROM if you are interested, I would be recommending you to go for dk Rom or Rempuzzle

[Q] Searching for basic Sense 3.5 rom

Hello,
I'm searching for a simple Sense 3.5 rom. This was for me the main reason to root the Wildfire S for my dad.
I dont want game-rom or music/graffitydesigns, just the original design is good.
And than with new software.
For my own phone (Desire Z) I use this ROM witch is very nice.
It says: With the release of the virtuous 3.x kernel, we can finally can get a nearly perfect Sense 4 rom.
As with all Gen.Y roms, the purpose of this ROM is to get as close to the stock experience as possible, so customizations are kept to a minimum.
This ROM a port of the official HTC One V 2.22.401.1 rom.
I am searchin and searchin on the list of Rom's but I lost my way.
Can anyone enter me to the right ROM?
Thanks a lot!
Try the marvelous sense.. I'm using it

[Q] htc sense with paranoid android?

Hello all! Im not very tech fancy and have been trying to grasp an understanding since I recently rooted my HTC one. I want to install paranoid android rom but have questions about the ui. From what I saw, it seems the custom rom uses stock android ui. I've grown quite accustomed to the HTC sense and was wondering if it is possible to install the custom rom and keep HTC sense ui or if I have to install it. Or if having htc sense is even possible.

As long as you install a AOSP based ROM, you will lose HTC Sense UI.
You'd either need Sense based ROM or a apply a theme that mimics the Sense UI on an AOSP ROM
