In what directory is avatar located on the vibrant? I'm going to pull that and the sims game and put it on my epic.

He just said it. Vibrant.

The vibrant system dumps i have found do not include the avatar movie or the sims game. Can someone point me to the correct download with necessary files? If it cant be posted please PM me.

It might be better to just make your own version for your Epic.

Its an actual .apk file you can find it on the vibrant system dump
Sent from the future...

The APK just starts the movie. The actual movie is stored on the SD card. It cant be on internal memory, because it would use all of it up.

the Vibrant has a 16gb internal card ... 2 gb for system files and 13 gb for everything else .. plus an additional 2gb card that came preinstalled with Sims and Avatar. The APK does look for it on the SDcard from what i have gathered. the file itself is useless b/c it needs the apk to start it.

Gotcha. I didn't know the apk just stars the movie. Thanks for the info

Still no right answer??
the avatar movie is a dcf file (DisCriptor File) which is a type of copy-protected media file mostly used on cellphones
your better off using a different movie format thats not copy protected like mp4, avi or even mkv

so nobody still has the movie or the game? i want it so bad lol

no way to convert it to non-dcf (like non-drm)?

I just put avatar, 2012, kickass, and super troopers on my sd. I ripped them, then converted to MP4s. About 1-3 GB each

[Q] SD Hack?

So I remember reading or seeing somewhere about someone using an SD Hack to speed up the media scanning? Where can I get this wonderful tweak? When I boot or mount media scanner runs twice for some reason and I have a lot of stuff on my card so it takes a bit... Thanks!!

You can just put a .nomedia file in the flders without media in them?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I saw that if you put a folder in the root of your sd card and name it ".nomedia" without quotes but with the dot then put all the stuff that you don't need loaded asap like music and videos..... the system wont scan this folder until you go into the app that uses these files.... It worked for me...

Best apps I found to use is Disk Usage or Dual Folder from the Play store. Disk usage to see what's eating up space and deleting thumbnail data. Dual folder for individual files

mediahub downloads to sd card?

Is it possible to move movies purchased thru media hub to the sd card? I've got that free download of the avengers taking up over 2gb of my internal storage right now and can't find an option to do it. I'd imagine I could do it manually somehow, but how and will it affect anything with playback?
Thanks!
Yea, it's been said on the other Avengers threads
You need to change the settings to show hidden files, go your file manager under settings, and you will see that option
Next you need to find. SamsungMediahub open it, and find the " Sd" or Hd" file and move it to the extSdcard

What is changing to a new rom going to do for him? If his music is gone it's gone... Unless I'm missing something? Why isn't your music on your computer or somewhere else? How did you get it on your phone, lol? If it some where and you can't find it, pull everything from your storage places and put them on your PC and search both files with in your computer search index and see if you can find them... If they are there, then create a folder named /music and you will good to go. If they aren't there then get new music or however you got them there in the first place.
Im really getting fed up whit this ... The way it makes another folder where everything elses moves there is really nonsense i have lost all my game data's also my titanium backup

I would start putting the music somehwere other then only on phone storage, just in case. I've accidentally wiped internal storage once, and I've had External sdcards go bad or just randomly out of no where lose all data in it. make a dropbox and do TiBu once a week and move them there your self with some type of file manager if you don't wanna pay the money for Titanium Backup pro. I also bet all your stuff is there you are just looking in the wrong places. What file manager are you using to look for your "lost stuff"?

list all the areas you are looking for the media... what is your recovery?
Aokp is awesome ROM. I dont mean to be rude but if you think those files are still there (in your phone) ;install different ROm or restore backup and pull al data from it. And wipe both internal and external cards. Amd install aokp and enter those files again via PC.

Move app additional files to sd card?

Im running Goodness Noteworthy 1.06 with Perseus kernel on my Sprint Note 2. I've looked online and from what I understand there is no way to move apps to the sdcard after the jellybean update. I'm really just needing the additional files the apps download like the 1+gb that you have to download for Need For Speed or N.O.V.A. moved to my external 16gb micro sdcard so my internal memory isn't so low. Ive tried the app Folder Mount from the play store and it didn't seem to work. Has anyone found a way to get the files to the sdcard and the game still be able to read them? Thanks!

folder mount worked perfectly for me. i had about 12gb worth of game data from gameloft and ea (incl nfs most wanted and realracing 3) moved to the sd card with this app and the games played perfectly. at the moment im having issues with my sdcard writing anymore and im hoping that doing this folder mount, it didnt mess my card up. the games have been working for a couple months now. i know this isnt much help but i thought i'd share my experience.

good luck man. here is the thread by the dev incase you havent read some faq's yet. it really did work well for me when i used it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192122
I use My Drives to find the space hogging files. It's free.
FolderMount, DirectoryBind and so forth can give funny readings on the when you look at storage. You literarely have not the storage used and available before and after binding. Most of the file explorers will show the binded file in the original location. It's been moved, but what you're seeing is more a holding marker.
I figured out how to use Folder mount and its working good. I was just not mounting the data by clicking on the paperclip button lol. Thanks guys.
