So i've stripped out all the "T" stuff and the "SAPO" stuff, and made a CLEAN CSC for flashing.
Right now, using this CSC, the only extra tools you'd get (like Aldiko) come from the JM7 ROM itself, not the TMN provider (but you can use a Tayutomo ROM after and get it really clear!)
Stripped:
- Boot TMN Animation
- Shutdown "Dancing T" Animation
- Favorites and Bookmarks
- All TMN-related applications

MODEM in MODEM (currently JM2 is latest),
CODE in PDA (from your favourite ROM),
CSC in CSC (latest is JM1, THIS ONE! )

So, can we have several CSC files for different ROM versions?
Is that ok?
Better;
Can you tell me what are the functions of each of those 3 files?

Hi Horus, how's it going?
When you flash using ODIN (Samsung's unofficial-and-top-secret Firmware tool), you can select 3 files, which i'll briefly:
PDA - A tar.gz file containing the ROM itself (around 200mb)
MODEM - The main drivers for your mobile's motherboard (around <some>mb)
CSC - The "service provider" custom files, such as logos, included apps, APN's (for internet access), themes, etc.. (around 10mb)
So now you get it; I've ripped the latest TMN (Portuguese no1 Mobile Provider) for cleaning the logos and wallpapers, ringtones, bookmarks, ...
Clear now?
Cheers!

e o bluetooth fix para os parrots? tenho isso num galaxy s e num n1 e da sempre erro.. alguma ideia?

@syqe: Sorry, not on linux at the moment and window$ doesn't support mounting rfs files. I will extract it later and post it here
@offcina: English only please, about btfix there's a post for that. If it always gives error, either you don't have SU installed or you don't have BT configured. It can also happen that your ROM stores BT configs in different folders..

Hi all! Being a Htc Diamond user for such a long time, flashing rom's is not hard at all for me....but now i'm going to buy a Galaxy S (went to the Worten Mobile Store) and asked to try the phone. 1st thing i tried: the 3 button sequence...lol, but nothing. I ask all my portuguese "fellas" and others if you can help me giving the links to:
1st: Unlock device to another carrier
2nd: Fix the lag
Can you help please? I swear i tried to read all posts, but it's to many info and i see soo many bricked phones... Thanks!

You really tried the 3 button sequence and you haven't seen the "Download Mode"?? That's AWFUL, just don't buy it... Yet
Samsung is releasing a fix for the "3-button-combo" because they realized that removing the 3-button-combo wasn't such a good idea...
About your questions:
1) Unlock the Device: I've never done it but it seems quite easy. I've found it in this forum, there are dedicated threads for it.
2) LagFixing: You have project Voodoo (named "the best") and you have "OCLF" or "OneclickLagFix" right in the Market. Its also great and very easy and clean to install.
3) Your questions don't belong in this thread! Should we create a "Tuga" Thread? hehe
Abraços!

New Firmware with Signed. P1000DXKM2 THL

Please Read this first => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071
Firmware info from Check Fus
Modified: 11/01/14
Latest firmware for: THL
PDA: P1000DXKM2
Phone: P1000DXJM2
CSC: P1000OLBJM2
Decrypt Code: 3899029
Url: http://fus.samsungmobile.com/Phone_...00OLBJM3_P1000DXJM3_P1000DXKM3_DX_THL.zip.enc
still 2.2
kernel 2.6.32.9 [email protected]#1
my tab was All Signed. I can flash JME to This firmware. No need to wipe. Odin 1.7 flashed only PDA and Manually reboot with Power+up.
it's smooth so far.
Is this for general Asia Pacific region or only for Thailand?
What's the decryption code for the enc file?
I am currently using DXJM4 version, but go through Kies, no updates available. Very weired.
it's asia version not only thailand , it think euro can use it as well because mine can use euro firmware version.
decrypt code, you can see above. try to look at it again.
anyway after I use Odin to flash,it can't update via kies anymore. normally kies firmware will roll up after fus in a few day or longer.
We need Roto to makes his version of this...im sure he will soon.
Are this Rom a multi, pls ?
Thanks

IF YOUR BOOT IS STILL UNSIGNED , DO NOT FLASH SBL AND BOOT FROM THIS ROM.
It is very solid build. very smooth and browser seems to be smoother, scrolls better even when pages are still loading.
No extra apps.
Unlike KA build , kernel is signed so it can loaded if u have signed bootloader (jm*)
Very few locales, just english uk, english na and some asian.
You can repack it without sbl and boot files and flash on the top of the signed roms.

I'd like to. I have family events to attend to tomorrow, but if someone would post an unencoded firmware for download, Ill grab it and apply all the JME mods to it. In the meantime, feed back on KM2's quality is valuable. I'd hate to waste time on it just to go back to JME

Guys...I just downloaded JMF and unless you can understand Russian - You cannot get back.
The moment the phone boots, it's all Russian (or greek, or something!)
I was listed under the EURO rom, i DOwnloaded and Odin it..... but I cannot get the language to go English.
I tried to go to Locale to change it to English - but Have no idea where I am.
I tried to flash JME back, but the tab still boots up in Russian.
How can I get it back to JME?
Out of frustration I flashed the JME pit file, but not difference, still Russian.
I'm stuck
Someone have any idea?....LOL
Thanks
Don't flash KM2 either.
KM2 only includes english (UK, US), Bahasa (Indonesia, Malaysia) Ting Viet and other asian locales
Font seems to be a bit thinner - looks good!
browser still laggy with blank pages after a second site is opened
Readers Hub is back
still no 2.2.1 or even 2.3...
Build number: FROYO.DXKM2

Sorry Guys.....

Man I feel like an IDioT.......DUH!
I got so excited and panicked when I noticed this STRANGE language on my TAB. I did Managed to fix the language in Local & Text, top option and scrolled down to English!

one more thing,I don't know where to upload 3xxMB decrypted firmware , it's too big and my upload is just only 512kbps.
and I think decrypt and unzip,it's less than 5 minutes for me. or someone can help for this.
anyway, you should wait for .apk unprotect signed from roto/chainfire and flash other firmware that isn't signed.

I downloaded firmware and it's .ecn. I can't rename file type to .zip. What can I do with it?
Samfirmware.com has this version without encrypted code.
Anyway, how could we flash this firmware without boot.bin, Sbl.bin, zImage.
As long as Roto puts his hand on this firmware. I wont dare to flash to my GT.

[ROM] RotoKM2 Pre-Rooted Firmware v1 [Jan 19, 2011]

Heres a heavily modified KM2 firmware. This wasn't easy.
In a nutshell its JME-v4 without the modified Swype.
All the files are here:
http://files.deodexed.com/ModADroid-Galaxy-Tablet/Rotohammer/KM2/
Please backup your apps and settings with Titanium Backup from the market.
Write down ALL your current APN settings in Settings/Wireless/Mobile/Access Point Names/, the one with the green dot next to it. There is 14 settings in all.
Its a first release. Use the upgrade if coming from Roto-JME. You can always go back to JME as well after testing.
Then Ill collect suggestions/tweaks for v2.
Thanks
Still enjoying the jme v4, but i wanna try this one..Thank you.
I used Titanium, backed up apps and user data separately, then using Odin3 1.7, in PDA went Roto-KM2-Upgrade-v1.tar, and the Addon-KM2-Modem.tar in the Phone. Everything else blank, no check in re-partion, start. 3:33 Pass! Long time restarting, on Samsung screen a while, then everything back to normal, everything working.
Thank you Roto for your time and energy for us. You are a true gentleman!
Edit: What's with that Panzer Panic?!
Km2 Modem
Just to clear, as im using a samsung tab from tmobile, the only connection i can get is the edge, no 3g or h.
This KM2 modem gives EDGE and voice. Hop on over to the Roto Modem Switcher thread and get the Roto-3G modem if you want 3g/H. Follow the steps to get both. T-Mo tab user here too. The switcher script works fine, and overwrites this KM2 modem.
If you already have a 3G/H modem, flash the upgrade leaving the Phone button blank.

I really want to use asian Swype with the fullscreen resolution. hehe.....
I wish you have all language available for Swype keyboard in your rom because I'm your real hard fan.
KM2
Can someone tell us a little more about KM2:
1.) European Rom?
2.) Locales included?
3.) collaboration with [CF-Root v2.2]?
4.) Improvements?

There is not a official CyanogenMod for the Galaxy Gio, however phiexz is developing a build to the Gio, and despite it's only available as beta, it works really well you could see more details here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337178
About the default ROM, well, you have to see what is your current and official firmware, and if there is available on the internet you can simply flash it using Odin. In Samsung kies it will be detected as the original firmware, cause they are

will this ROM solve the disconnecting wifi problem?
Hi everybody, I'm new to Android.
I have this phone and I have installed the S5660XXKS2.
The first most obvious problem I have is that wifi keeps disconnecting, which I understand is fairly popular..
do you suggest me to upgrade to this ROM,
will it solve this issue or do we have to wait for 2.3.6?
Thank you

Hey. New guy over here (to this forum and to android in general).
I've a question, did the Galaxy Gio can be moded (flashed, change ROM, etc.) in any version? I ask this because i own a GT-S5660L (note the bolded "L") and don't know if this means there is something different with it that can be flunked or if can brick my phone. So far i've rooted it, installed CWM and so far all looks good. I want to use Cyanogen (or other ROM) but i want to be perfectly sure if i can or how to do it.
Thanks in advance and see you all aorund here.
Give it a shot, make sure you backup first, or have a recovery method sorted. The only way you'd ever know is to try.
Well. I give it a shot with Cyanogenmod 7.2 and it "worked" like a charm, vast improvement overall but with some (expected) bugs, otherwise this rocks. I'll try new thing now that i flashed and successfully bringed my phone to a new world.
Good to hear.
Rule 1. Always make a backup.

You said in my topic("anyone can give me stock rom") to post here and i posted
So, here are my question about ROM's :
1) What is the real goal of a ROM ? Providing new themes and cool fonts ? Does it improves performance or does it comes with real new fonctionnalities ?
2) I tried some ROM like Hybrid, Sense Aurora.. But after installing them on my phone, the french language (yes, I am ) wasn't available. Should I change CSC after installing a new ROM ?
3) Now a question a bit more technical (I study in computer sciences).. Why a ROM like CyanogenMod need a custom Kernel ?
Thank you in advance

well on another phone i had before this...
i had csutom settings,,
like management of governors and io...in return both either gives you better response or save battery..
my older phone doesnt support gb or live wallpapers.so after doing a custom rom..i now had that features..
as for the galaxy y..
so far the custom rom are just themed and a2sd support and removed bloatware,,
make your phone fast and lite but still basically is pretty much like the stock roms...
just looks better,functionality,,
naaa,,,long way to go,,
a2sd was just made to work couple of days ago...
no oc,no undervoltage..so nothing much really..
2) I tried some ROM like Hybrid, Sense Aurora.. But after installing them on my phone, the french language (yes, I am ) wasn't available. Should I change CSC after installing a new ROM ?
there are instructions on each rom on how to install,,,
3) Now a question a bit more technical (I study in computer sciences).. Why a ROM like CyanogenMod need a custom Kernel ?
for the above mentioned,,,
cm,,is a very customizable rom itself,,
without the custom kernel,,its just a themed stock rom...
Thank you in advance
Thx @termagazis

...and don't forget to press the thanks button on the ROM topic as well!
Thank you zeusseuz.
But I'm not sure I understand about languages.. All the ROM's comes with their own CSC, specific to the dev, but if I want french language, can I replace manually CSC directory on the ROM by mine which comes from my device to get this languages or it is more complicated ?

Every Stock ROM has 3 parts:
PDA, CSC, Modem
PDA - it is the kernel, Android OS, the user interface, and all the applications
CSC - Carrier Specific Configuration (maybe) - this part has setting for a given provider's setup (Internet access, voicemail numbers, default homepages, sometimes carrier bloatware, etc...)
Modem - this is the phone, wifi, bluetooth, fm radio functionality
The naming convention of a Stock ROM package specifies, which languages, network providers and communication frequencies supported by a given pack.
For example:
S5360XXLA2_S5360OXXLA2_RST_S5360XXLA2_HOME.tar.md5
S5360DXLA1_S5360OLBLA1_S5360DXLA1_HOME.tar.md5
The package name consist of the following parts in order: PDA, CSC, Modem
coding
PDA:
S5360 - implicit, the phone model
XX: landcode - specifies which countries, languages supported by the user interface. In this case XX is multilang european build for countries Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, languages de,en,es,fr,hu,it,nl,pt(cs,da,el,fi,no,pl,sl,sv,tr )
DX: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam. Languages: en,id,ms,th,vi,zh(ta)
LA2 - version build identifier: L for 2012, A for January, 2 for second build
CSC:
S5360 - implicit, the phone model
OXX: Multi CSC for several european countries. Included country codes: ATO AUT COS CPW CYO CYV EIR EUR FOP ITV MOO PAN PHE SUW TPH XEF XEH XEO XEU XEZ XSK
OLB: Multi CSC for SE Asia. Country codes: GLB MM1 SIN SMA STH THL XEV XME XSE XSP XTC XTE
LA2 - build id, same as above
Modem
letter code meaning same as PDA, sometimes the modem is different (older) version as PDA, not all packs have new modem.
So back to your question, If you need french lang support, then you have to choose firmwares in its name "XX" in the PDA version
But replacing CSC will not give you additional lang support.

Who can give me stock rom??because i want to make a rom.If stock rom is format .tar how use this in kitchen?need to change .tar to .zip?

You don't need any zip or tar file. Install Root Explorer and then copy system folder to SD card. Then install Terminal emulator and write -
su
dd if=/dev/block/bml7/boot.img of=/sdcard/boot.img
You will get a copy of boot.img in your sdcard
Now connect phone to PC and on desktop make a folder named WORKING_STOCK and copy both, the boot.img and SYSTEM folder from SD card to the folder. This is your Stock ROM
Best Custom Rom
I wanna know which currently available ROM consumes least RAM nd has a decent battery consumption time(& least buggy)? Currently I am using Creed's 2.1.. it's gr8.. bt I donno if it's the best one around regarding my concerns!

Then, to begin understand Portuguese, the answer to one "Obrigado" is "De nada".
BTW: I havn't a S4 Mini but I have a Mega 6.3" and want compare the partitions from this 2 devices. Are same. (Not in device size).
On mobileodin.txt we see this line [ro.secure]: [0]. "0" means kernel insecure, if secure like original must be [1].
Is very useful this log.
