I'd take a look at that thread. It worked for CM6.

That's not at all what he's looking for.

Try contacting ihftp69, or rmk40, the former is the one who fixed it.

1) Revert Audio Fix
2) Change builp.prop change "true" -> "false" under media.stagefright.http

[Cyanogenmod 6] - Force Close on Quick Profiles

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7401058&postcount=5946
I posted the above in the nightly build thread, but it's moving so fast I'm afraid no one will ever see/respond to such a specialized issue.
I need some help, guys. I've already spoken directly to the developer and they were not able to address the issue. I've been using a program called "Quick Profiles" every since I got my Evo. It's EXACTLY what I need. It worked fine on stock and damage control. But since I've switched to Cyan6, it's not worked. It force closes. The developer seems to think it's a problem with the ROM.
I've attached a logcat, so if anyone can take a look at it and give me some pointers I would appreciate it.

I know someone else in that thread (bkfitz) indicated he was having the same issue. I'm attaching a logcat to try to help identify the problem. Please chime in if you have any ideas on how to go forward. Like I alluded to above, I've been in contact with the Dev. We troubleshooted the problem for awhile and he, ultimately, decided it must be an issue with the ROM. He's monitoring the forums, I believe, and mentioned that he would be more than willing to collaborate on a solution if that's possible.
Bump.

Same force close problem for me with QP and Cyan 6.0 stable mod. But QP works fine with Simply Stunning 4.7.

[Q] Android - Desire HD Transition effects

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get the transition effects that this guy is running on his Desire HD?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skKU-uI7NXA
You can see a good example at 17s into the video. It looks like the menu transition effects have been changed to fly in and also exiting and opening apps seems to have a transition effect. I've searched the web (google), searched XDA and searched youtube but nothing seems to explain it. I notice a few people have asked him on his video but he has not replied to them ...anyway, I think they look cool - if anyone has any idea how to implement these transition, please let me know Thanks in advance...
There are some effects addon packages on the miui-au site here http://www.miui-au.com/miui_au-1-1-26-r1/ don't know of they work on our devices, and they most probably won't work on anything other then a miui rom i think.
you can modify you framwork-res.apk locatet in /system/framework
with online kitchen
they got some custom transitions but i cant say if that are the same as the ones you are looking for since the yt link "doesn´t work in my country" :/

They're built-in to LeeDroid ROM since 1.5.0 - maybe ask him!

if you send me a copy of your framework-res.apk, i'll add the fly-in animations and make an update.zip you can flash from recovery

Hi,
Thanks for the offer. I need to root first (it seems) and i'm wondering if it is worth doing just to get these animations? I used to have a HardSPL'd HD2 but am new to android and will need to teach myself about the risks / trade off of Rooting...
So - im currently doing my homework...

no trouble, risks are minimal in rooting, it was a big deal a couple of years ago but now devs have created tools that make it easy, only hard part is making a goldcard and downgrading (if nesssesary), flashing s-off can be risky if somthing happens during the flash, but thats about it anyway good luck

[Q] Possible phantom voicemail fix

I found this thread] over in the evo 4g forums and was wondering if it might be a possible fix to get rid of the phantom voicemail. I have been trying to do the decompile and recompile myself but my coding skills are extremely limited and I cannot even get the phone.apk decompiled. Does anyone think this might work and if so anyone have the necessary skills to try it?

I'll give this a try when I get a chance.. Not sure if it'll work on ICS or not though.
Edit:
I went ahead and did it... And it seems to work! Great work finding that thread, the phantom voicemail notification was the one major issue I've had with CM9.
Here it is:
Phantom VM Fix for CM9 Beta 0 (Changed link to new thread)
Just flash it in CWM. Should not need to clear cache.
Let me know if it works for you. Make sure to create a backup of your Phone.apk beforehand, just in case something is broken that I haven't noticed yet.
If everything seems to work OK for you I'll probably create a new thread and keep it updated for the latest versions of CM9.
I tried this last week but wasn't able to get it to compile.
YES IT WORKS!
And now I don't have to flash back to cm7 anymore.

Yeah, it can be a little tricky with ICS system APK's. It is usually the plurals.xml, or dimens.xml files that need a little editing to get it to compile properly.
Sweet....first time I haven't had a vm notification since the switch to ics...big props....thanks a ton
Looks like its working on my end as well. Thanks for the help! For sure one of the annoying parts of CM9 wish I could hit the thanks button a hundred times.

DINC2 google talk video

sorry if this is a repeat, but I own a Droid Charge, and my wife has the DINC2, she does not like the idea of rooting her phone so I never read about it until now.
I noticed that the stock Rom does not have video call on the google talk app.
How would I go in order to get video call on her google talk?
Obs:. HTC's are new to me so if one could give an in depth look on how to get it done I would really appreciate it.
You're probably going to need to root it and throw on CM7/CM9 or MIUI depending on taste.
You can try Google plus or Skype. They should work.
Thanks for the replies. I will work with her about rooting her phone. Had no idea DINC2 had CM9 running on it. Anyway thanks for the help!

Why wouldn't you just turn on unknown sources within the applications setting and go find the newer google talk apk?
That'll give you google talk without having to worry about rooting if that's all you want.

Verizon Visual Voicemail and Andtoif 4.3/Sense 5.5

I have been switching between NOS 2.01 and NuSense One and neither of the latest builds have Verizon Visual Voicemail functioning correctly. I do not currently have enough posts to post on developer forums but did not want to just post useless posts to meet the quota. Has anyone had any luck getting VVM working with 4.3/sense 5.5? Maybe someone has a separate flashable zip that can be applied. I have searched and cannot find any source. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Not that I know. I have tried with other Roms on other phones and had the same problems. I finally just said f it and just started using Google voice

It seems like it worked on NuSense RC3 but camera was broken. Now in RC4 camera fixed and VVM broken. NOS 2.01 I can get to vvm to work but it reports media type not supported when attempting to play back message. So close yet so far away.

I'll check it out.
Working on a new build...
I recall dealing with this on the Thunderbolt and Dna as well and it shouldn't be too hard, except that I don't use it to be able to test.
May take one or two more shots at it to get it nailed down, hopefully not.

Thanks for the response. I have been trying to figure out how to get the problem posted to your thread. I have been flashing roms for years but apparently haven't been using xda. Thank you for your hard work on this Rom. It is awesome. If you need someone to beta your RCs I would be happy to. If you need me to try out the vvm tests I would be happy to as well. When I bought the One after running over my gnex, I thought my flashing days were over... So glad they are not. I thought I was a pure vanilla man, but I am suprised how much I like sense. Then add in 4.3 with sense 5.5 and it is awesome.
Thanks again for your hard work. Hopefully soon I will be able to post my findings directly to your thread .
I have a question

Did you ever come up with a fix for this? Im on the new viper rom that released the other day and miss some of the VZW features.
I remember this from my Droid Incredible days, it was a prop.build fix back then:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953746&highlight=vvm
Change ro.HorizontalVVM=true to false, and use the attached app
Not sure if this will work or not.
You have to re-boot, and may have to rename the original VVM client to like bak or whatever
