EzeStand Desktop Stand - Captivate Accessories

For those impatient like me who cant wait for the Samsung Dock.
Just got this in the mail today, figured I would snap some shots (MyTouch Slide camera and it's blinding LED flash.). It is very sturdy plastic that does not flex under pressure. It has no slip rubber grip on the bottom, and on any place where the handset touches. It holds it well enough that you feel confident using the phone's touch screen while in the stand. It probably wont fit with a big case in portrait tho, its pretty close to the sides as it is.

Awesome Stand!
This is the near perfect desk stand since it allows for portrait, as well as landscape, viewing...and you can use the device while its on the stand.
One thing that would make it better is if it could charge a spare battery.
Good find, I think I'm going to pick one of these up for use on my desk at work.

before i buy this, does turn on the dock mode when i put it in for the captivate?

It has a magnet in it, and works for the DroidX dock mode, but no luck with the Captivate (personally, maybe I'm doing it wrong). Are there even desktop stands for the Captivate out yet that do that? I haven't even read anywhere yet that the Samsung desktop dock does that.

Stand for lap

Guys
I often use my tab just keeping it on my lap and need something to raise it hence looking for a stand. I also occasionally use the tab on a work table as well but looking for something that will somehow sit sturdy on my lap or a pillow
Thanks

I bought a padded lap stand very similar to the "Prop 'n Go" stand at http://www.paddedspaces.com/overview/
Not sure if that is the exact one or I got a different one, but I am very happy with it.
I bought this one:

The samsung works great in the lap, it has a lap possition.
you can buy a leather case which has a stand. It is useful.
+1 for Prop 'n Go
I also use Prop 'n Go for my 10" G Slate. Very comfortable on the couch and in bed. Best feature IMO is the universal design. I can quickly switch between my Kindle and G-Slate without the hassle of taking on/off special cases or crap.
Here is picture of mine with my tablet.

Case that fits in multimedia dock....

I'm looking for a very thin case that provides corner protection in case of a drop yet fits in the multimedia dock.
Any suggestions?

i had a 7"tab which i put some fancy sticker on the back.. now it can't fit into the keyboard dock... so forget the foolish dream.. and choose.. skin or dock..

(it's a keyboard on a pic, but I thing it should work with the dock as well). Here is the link to the case itself

Nice catch Tyoma_first. I have that case and keyboard. I just tested the connection and it works great. I would not have thought of doing this. Thanks for pointing it out.
Bob
I can't get that link to work. I have the samsung docking station and an otterbox cause i dropped my first gn2 so i need a hard case. but i bought this docking station for no reason if i cant use it.
casemate works and it plugs in the docking station but must not be in far enough because the pc wont see it nor will the device go into docking mode.

Javoedge rotating case review

I just wanted to add a mini review about this case because I haven't seen it mentioned here. I recently bought a rotating case by Javoedge and I love it. It is a rotating style case that allows you to use it in both portrait and landscape. The tab is clipped into place, its very secure and doesn't cover the bezel. The case uses a magnetic flap to close and stays secured. There are appropriate cutouts for camera, headphone jack, volume, power, etc. The tab can be rotated to allow for charging while in the case too. It comes in purple and grey. I got the purple and its very nice. It looks very high end (IMO) and is made of quality materials. And btw this case is sold on Amazon, but I found it for 50% off retail for around $21 at Javoedge (use the provided link).

this looks really nice
might have to check this out
Is the outside material felt like? :L
Dare I say the material is denim like But very nice.
thanks, i have been looking for a case that clip on. My current one you slide the tab in and it slides up and down inside its not the best, though it keeps my tab very safe.

Spiderpodium ... anyone?

Does anyone have one of these? Seems like the small one is too small for the S3 and the big one is too big but the idea is great!

remind me of octopus tripod
The small one works great, I'll upload a pic of it in use with an S3 as soon as I get a chance.

Looking forward to see it.
Sorry for the delay, here's the pic of the Spiderpodium with the S3, it works great in portrait as a desk stand and can also be re-positioned in a landscape mode to be used as car navigation etc. The small one even works really well with the Samsung note, pic to follow...

Breffo Spiderpodium with the Samsung Galaxy note...
Also works well in the car
Just picked up one of these from Halfrauds for £15. Enough legs to hold the S3 securely, with some to spare to stuff into the air vents on the dash. Feels really secure, hardly any wobble and you'd need to be driving over a thousand enormous toblerones before it would lose grip. Recommend.

Cheap Leather Cases How-to

I like to carry my cell phone on my belt for easy access and that was easy with my old phones using something I picked up at Home Depot. Now I have an HTC Sensation 4G and it was WAY too big for my old case so I went shopping on ebay.
Since the phone is long I wanted to switch to a horizontal case because the vertical one I had sometimes got in the way when I sat down.
I found this case and it looked perfect:

It even said my phone would fit! Two weeks later I get the case and it's WAY too small, especially when I put the phone in it's Otterbox case.
If you find yourself in a similar bind the solution is easy ... stretch the leather! You can do it with water but I prefer alcohol since it dries fast and you can repeat the stretching steps quickly.
1) find something that fits in the case.
2) wet the case with alcohol, insert the thing that fits and jam in something next to it, Start small and work your way up.
3) Repeat until your phone fits.
It took me 1/2 hour or so but now my phone slides in easily. I had to stretch the case about 1/2" (13mm).
I may have to repeat this when my new quad core phone comes since it's even bigger.
