Tic tac, clock sync problem, Watson! - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Android Development

I get to the point: every time I boot Android the clock is setted 2 hours later... if I chance it there, it'll change also in winmo... I know it's not necessary, but can you suggest me anything to solve this little problem?

I actually use an application in Android called clock sync. Keeps the clock... in sync.
2 hours tho, mine NEVER goes that far off. The time just starts drifting as soon as I boot Android, so to keep it from drifting I have it sync with the pool.ntp.org servers every 30 mins or 1 hr... Or however frequently you wish.

Drifts for me too. IIRC it's a known "feature" and there was a fix. Search for it.

There is a HUGE link to the FAQ on my thread. (FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions) I am 100% sure you are not the first person with this problem, and there are 3 different fixes for this problem, if you would just be a little self sufficient.

It depends on what time zone you are in how much winmo will be off when you boot back into it, its 7 hours off for me, MST. (Which makes sense i'm 7 hours off of GMT.)

Athe time on android is always right, but going back to windows its 5 hours ahead, the touch pro 2 wm6.5 doesn't have a time server sync feature.......

Look for TimeSyncTZ, install it, then put a link to it in your Windows Mobile startup folder. Easy.

Just flashed, i'm in the process of installing my usual apps. But it seems snappy so far
Hello,
I tested this version, but me SchapĀ“s pleases better and therefore installs I this also straight again.
MfG
S64
Contacts not shown until soft reset
Everything works well, the only niggle I found was that the new contacts interface (which is great imho) didnt pick up my exchange contacts until i performed a SR.
Apart from that one very small and insignificant issue, the ROM seems to be yet another master piece!
There are some voices about 5 minutes booting time
Can somone confirm?
I like Black's.

Heyo, thanks for the fast reply
I tried it out, and i have to say it works pretty well.
But i'd really be happy if there would be such a programm that runs in the background all the time and clears up my RAM whenever i end programms like skype or so...
Is there any such programm?

Yeah man no problem. I'm not aware of anything that constantly runs in the background. I used to use this program all the time on my old wing, so I'm used to running it several times a day. If anyone knows of anything out there, I'd love to know.
Try HTC Addicts cleanRAM, you can set it to clean every so much hours.
http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/07...e-memory-from-your-windows-mobile-device.html
I'm not sure wether this is the newest version...
Really thanks a lot! This app cleans my RAM down to 60% usage every 3 hours now! That's the best result i had ever!
Even after a Soft Reset i have about 51%, so everyone looking for a good cleaner, take this one
Wow i just used htc addicts clean ram and it took me from 57% used to 48% I did the level 3 cleaning.
Is it possible for someone to explain why it is that your phone slowly fills up the ram with normal usage and you have to do this?
Also after a soft reset it uses like 54% how did it get it down to 48%?
Thanks

'Loading' screen for 3-5 seconds? - SOLVED!

Hi, there.
I'm on Vodafone in the UK and my new One X displays the message 'Loading' with the moving circle underneath every time I return to the homescreen or come out of a programme (for between 3 and 5 seconds.) I've only had the phone for a day and have arranged to have a replacement delivered on Monday, but I wondered whether anyone else has noticed this? It's obviously a dealbreaker but I can't see any other threads, so am I right to assume I just got a dodgy phone?
(I also have a yellow spot on the bottom left of the screen, so I'm not sorry to be getting a replacement.)
Thanks in advance!
The loading screen happens to almost all the OneX out there but if your planning to unlock bootloader then you can use SuperCharger script or one of the custom ROM which already has it. Otherwise you have to live with it.

Gosh, really? I mean this is just infuriating - every time I exit something, there is a reeeeally long pause before I can do anything else. Does that happen to all the phones? Every review I've read talks about how fast this phone is and I would have thought a three or four second hiatus before a new task can be started would have been mentioned somewhere within the torrent of praise I've read for the One X.
I've just come from a BlackBerry Bold which was much quicker and the iPhone doesn't pause like this - if the new phone has it, I'm going to have to rethink.
Is this something others are also experiencing?

It's been a common problem with Android that's why we have SuperCharger script. You'll be suprised how of them are using that script.

Doesnt that disable multi tasking?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I believe so. A quote from Android Developers website.
Immediately destroy activities
Tells the system to destroy an activity as soon as it is stopped (as if Android had to reclaim memory). This is very useful for testing the onSaveInstanceState(Bundle) / onCreate(android.os.Bundle) code path, which would otherwise be difficult to force. Choosing this option will probably reveal a number of problems in your application due to not saving state. For more information about saving an activity's state, see the Activities document.

app problem
For me the activity that restored normal time (instant) when going to the home screen was deleting apps I had installed today. I uninstalled Adidas MI coach app and boom, the loading circle wasn't there any more.

Probably, if you were to check it. The OP has indicated that he got around the problem by unchecking it. In which case there is no effect on multi-tasking. I don't think that is the default setting anyway's, so somehow the setting must have got set on the OP's phone.
Also not sure why it is being said that this loading time is common. It isn't! I have never seen it on my H1X and this would have raised a big concern over usability of the phone....

In fact, it is there, invisible, but if you click on the very edge of the screen, it'll check the 7th day and you'll see a portion of the sphere.
Just lacking a bit of polish .

There it is ! lol not just a bit Ty
Maybe they have fixed it in colorOS 2.0.
They definitively fixed it in v2.0.
Sent from my X9006 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
This bug comes from the Find 5 ColorOS beta, one day (1.05i beta) they changed the behavior (from popup with weekdays you could select) to the new numbers format. But there is a misstake because many languages are longer weekdays/wochentage than the original you will lose some numbers.
I hope they will switch back to the old working style! Currently on the newest Find 5 beta its still this way.

Alternatives to Notifybuddy

Since MIUI 11, a lot of us apparently have trouble making Notifybuddy work properly on our devices.
As it seems like dev of the app has not time / doesn't want to fix the app for MIUI users, I was wondering what was your go to app for screen notifications.
I tried several that don't work either, so I ended using "always on amoled" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.newgen.alwayson).
I spent some time configuring it in the most minimalistic way and it does the job.
What are you using ?

I tried that app and I liked it but the phone never goes to sleep if the clock is active...
I'm using True Edge app, from the same developer.

This is a valid alternative indeed.
But I must say I like seeing the app notification icon on my screen all the time and glowing edges for a small amount of time (and possibly edge reminder every 5 or 10 min)
