Or add it to your signature.
remember that if you install a kernel version you need also the modules (i.e. for wlan)!

Thank god someone is making trouble post guidelines. I have had to make so many posts asking what kernel/build/etc. that people are using because they say "help me!" without giving much info.

Notes: Taken from original post:
This is a generally stock ROM with mods chosen to add to functionality without detracting from the Ice Cream Sandwich experience that Google
envisioned. I [bigxie] built this ROM from AOSP, merged in mods from CM9, AOKP, GummyNex, RootzBoat, and other ROMS, to create what I feel is a perfect mixture of stock feel and helpful customizations.
I had a lot of fun building, testing, and running this ROM. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

Eight lines down this one says "What you need: Deodexed Custom ROM on ITL41F Base, Nandroid Backup". Mike's LTE ROM is Deodexed ICL53F, so I don't think this will work either.
This is gonna be a nice thread if you keep it updated. Much appreciated

No problem. We need a thread like this. It will be even more fun once more Dev's start writing for LTE.
I added to my original post. Stuff I looked at using from GSM, but I don't think will work and where the info was that makes me not willing to try.

Sorry for all the extra post, but post #2 on Mike's ROM's thread has a list of add-ons he has published for him ROM. I've used a few and just like his ROM, they work great. Maybe we should add these to the list of Mods you started.

In order to install, place phone in fastboot by powering down the phone, holding the volume up & down keys, then holding down the power button. Next, plug phone into usb port, and use the following commands to transfer them to the phone (extract files first):
fastboot flash boot boot.img

fastboot flash radio-cdma radio-cdma-toro-i515.ek05.img

There are a few, but they're not posted on XDA. I've tried three 4.0.3 ROMs so far, and at least 3 or 4 separate kernels for it.
I've tried:
Roms - Kang, AOSP 4.0.3 (forget team name), and the GummyNex rom
Kernels - Matr1x, Francisco, Faux123, Fabolous
I can dig more later if you'd like for links, but prob not good taste to link to other sites. Just thought I'd share.

[RECOVERY] TeamWin Touch Recovery v2.2.2.0 for the HTC Wildfire S

Presenting the latest development version of the TeamWin Recovery Project's touch recovery for the HTC Wildfire S. TeamWin Touch Recovery now has official builds available through TeamWin and GooManager for the Marvel. With any luck MarvelC support will soon follow. Please visit the TWRP and TeamWin pages for more information.
Compiled for and tested on the original GSM Marvel. Always awaiting more testing from CDMA Marvel users. This software is provided without support or warranty: use it at your own risk.
Known Issues:
Fails on a handful of new GSM Marvel devices with updated/incompatible hardware, locking at the initial HTC splash screen.
Change Log:
XX:XX XX/8/2012 - Initial release of TWRP v2.2.2.0: Upstream code changes resolve the issues with formatting SD-EXT and partitioning the SD-Card. Includes the initial release of a revised 320x480 default theme with cleaner action pages, slightly larger buttons and more spacious checklists. First stable, full-featured and issue free release of TWRP for the HTC Wildfire S. Previous buggy versions have been removed from the revision history and can no longer be downloaded.

02:29 05/08/2012 PDT - Third release of TWRP v2.2.1: Includes a carefully scaled v2.2 theme enabling the latest release's advanced features.
22:59 28/07/2012 PDT - Second release of TWRP v2.2.1: Corrected a glitch in my build environment that could have lead to issues and then forked it for dedicated platform builds. First dedicated MarvelC build.
23:58 27/07/2012 PDT - Initial release of TWRP v2.2.1: Compiled from the most recent code provided by: TWRP, Cryptomilk and the CyanogenMod ICS-Release branch.
22:55 09/07/2012 PDT - Maintenance release of TWRP v2.1.8: Reconfigured and shrank the kernel in order to utilize a less aggressive form of compression than LZMA. Switched from the CyanogenMod ICS branch to ICS-Release.
12:35 09/07/2012 PDT - Initial release of TWRP v2.1.8: Built using the ICS branchs of the CyanogenMod and Cryptomilk Marvel sources. Oversized image required LZMA compression.

This is not the place for support.
I apologize in advance for what may seem abusive but, as it has been laid down here in the RULES it stands to reason that I'm decently covered.
THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR QUESTIONS! THIS IS!
In my infinite generosity I've created a place where users can get answers to frequently asked questions and seek support from one another. As an added bonus it will save you from my wrath. Please limit all discussion in this thread to development issues. I've started you off with some installation instructions as that was the first issue. I will update and check in as necessary. Enjoy!
You need to have the HTC drivers installed.
Then in cmd type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Place the img file in the same folder as the adb files, so you won't have to specify a path.
Good luck,
Awesome work btw.

I believe the issue here is entirely one of semantics. In my lexicon support encompasses the magical realm of end-user hand holding. In no way do I feel it is necessary or reasonable to expect a user manual with warm and fuzzy walk-troughs of every possible thing you could want to do and some friendly advice with a hug every time the user has a problem with their FREE software. I certainly don't plan to offer any of the above.
I do; however, plan on maintaining my work. I'm quite interested in information that would allow me to improve the image or resolve a reproducible issue. I also have no qualms discussing the work with other developers, providing updates as the code base evolves, accepting proper issue reports or feature suggestions. I'd simply prefer to avoid getting bogged down by questions that could easily be answered by visiting the project's home page or querying Google. I find it quite counter productive to wade through user prattle when I'm trying to fix an issue or collaborate with another developer.

This should be compatible with any HTC Marvel based Wildfire S. I believe they are all based on the same SOC. The kernel should have support for all MSM7227 based graphics hardware.

I suppose the plus side is that I have some confirmation that the software works on other A501e devices. If you're going to report something as not working could you at least go to the trouble of including your device's identifying information? A510b/e, SPL and Radio versions would be a great start.

Main branch broken with CM9 on Marvel since updating to 2.2 code.
TWRP updated their main branch to v2.2 today. While I was hoping for the resolution of current issues their changes break my build with CM9. I'm stepping through the changes presently to see if I reason out what changed between 2.2 and 2.1.8 to cause the issue and correct the it. Stay tuned for more updates.
More please...

Could I get the HBOOT, MICROP and Radio version from your SPL? Hold the volume rocker and power button down while turning on the device to access the bootloader for that information.
IF these Frankenstein devices exist I'm going to need a profile of the revised hardware in order to correct the issue along with some proud owners to test fixes as I don't have access to one. The Marvel I was given is based off the original hardware profile and TWRP2.1.8 works fine when built with CM9 and the cryptomilk.org MSM7227 kernel. I'll do what I can to fix it but, I'm currently trying to resolve build issues with the new 2.2 release. I'm hoping this new code base along with a revised kernel will resolve many of the current issues.
It's ALIVE!
The problem is it's behaving like I brought it to life with a couple bolts of lightning. To say that it has issues would be overly kind but, it boots and I can navigate around. I'm currently trying to track down all the shorts making 2.2 twitch. Stay tuned.
Fresh revision.
Finally managed a clean build from the latest source. I'd love for some brave MarvelC users to give it a test before building a flashable .ZIP for the general public.

This was already noted in the original post as the last entry under the known issues header. I maintain this for a reason. Thankfully the themes are XML based and updating it shouldn't be ridiculously difficult. Once I've gotten the issue list stable and nailed down where they are all rooted I'll see what I can do to tackle this and the formatting errors as they seem to be the largest TWRP specific issues I could correct. I wager the XML theme business will be relatively quick and painless.

TWRP 2.6.0.0 and ClockworkMod v6.0.5.3 upload pls.
can't install it
Hi ! I need help with this installation procedure, cause i put the code on the terminal emulator, and then, my cwm is deleted.. I want to try this cm rom ! Please help !
Problem with recovery
I didn't have problems before with installing any rom or recovery, I think I've passed through all of possible combinations, but this time, it's terribly buggy :/
I started from stock rom 2.3.6 XEO (as always) then installed CWM Custom Recovery "CWM-5.0.2.8_GAZZY.tar" (need some cwm to update, right?) but stock rom didn't find "flash_image" just like few other roms (arkas for ex.)
Finally Burnmode's KitKatSpecialEdition didn't alert about anything missing and it just jumped to the next line. (success I think, right?) The problem is that when I reboot into recovery it flashes a blank, black screen and reboots leaving my phone recovery-less ! What do I do wrong? Since then I tried many roms and most of them don't work anymore (no luck with cm10.2 for example, KitKat special edition works, so it's the only thing I can now run without bugs, but it's BurnMode's rom, it always works well)
I downloaded recovery.img "2014-12-04 22:43:18" which is the newest (at least now!) is there a problem with the recovery, my phone or maybe I am doing something wrong? My options are now very limited since many things crash my phone (can't flash a stock rom anymore, might be hard to do it again)
Hi
Thanks for your great work. I updated my cooper (s5830) to the latest release but my device won't boot. So I return back to the previous version.

Hi Sir, Im on Galaxy Y s5360 , no possibility for our totoro device?

recovery
I couldnt download u recovery, u wot m8 with it i havrnt got perms, upload it normal or get REKT
Can we expect working cm12 on our devices? Or this is the end of the unofficial support?
The page is closed now. Is anybody known how long will be unable to download ROMs on this page? Are there any other links in which we can get RC14 for Callisto? Thanks for help!

No more development since Feb '15 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58590015&postcount=261), last version seems to be

BTW, 11.0-20150211 (that's how it identifies itself) is quite responsive once you've changed the CPU governor and IO scheduler settings ("Performance" menu in Settings, I'm using SmartassV2 and Deadline. Only tick "Set on boot" after a while of testing, I have seen some particular settings freeze the phone!)

You may try to find a copy of the zip, check the md5sum (mine is 37c0f0fadb2f0d7444a175e42b78a84a )
Please share your findings.

OK; here you go. That's what I found on my disk. No checksums, so you got to trust me, or unpack and inspect everything. (Perhaps someone else can confirm?)

Prerequisites:
You must have flashed CWM6 using Odin before.
Also you need a second partition on your sdcard, formatted as ext4.
Preparation:
Put the files you need on the sdcard (normal vfat partition), shut down the phone.
Charge the phone's battery.
Now the really tricky stuff (if you mastered Odin, that's just a piece of cake though):
Start the phone into recovery.
Flash the ROM image, and wipe data.
Boot into Android, install and setup s2e to use the sd-ext partition.
Reboot into recovery.
Flash the gapps package, and possibly one of the keyboard zips (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56625731&postcount=162 for those). You may have to switch off package checks in between.
Reboot into Android, and change your governor and io scheduler settings.
Done.
Edit: I've got requests to share the filespace - which should be accessible by link. I'm re-adding the URL now. Apologies to everyone who tried in vain
@steve8x8 Hi, I know it's been a long time but i hope you see this, but could you please be more specific with the steps? what files to use, what keys to press? Sorry it's been a while since i used this phone or any android phone, what odin version should i use?
Have you searched the 'net (and the archive.org) for the original 551 blog? It has/had a quite good explanation of almost everything related to this particular phone. Odin version doesn't matter much, I had used 4.34 (that was current when the instructions were written) and 4.43 IIRC, no difference. Make sure to get good instructions for the CWM flash, as this is the stage where most bricks happen.
To make things easier, I'm uploading the stuff related to the Odin step from my HD ("Odin" subfolder on GDrive), more than two years old. Use them on your own risk, and check the URLs provided.
Note that I didn't go directly for CM11, but installed CM10.2 first. I would have to read the instructions to tell whether this was actually necessary...
On the way, I upgraded the recovery (from the jenkins server that doesn't exist any longer, http://jenkins.androidarmv6.org/view/Developers/job/cm-recovery/24/ of Oct 2014) to 6.0.5.3. (IIRC I did this using the terminal emulator, not Odin, but that should be possible too. I'll upload the recovery.img)
You perhaps max have to create your own Odin-flashable recovery similar to the following (again, I assume no liability at all!):
- take a .tar.md5 as starting point, and unpack it (it's just a tar with a checksum appended)
- replace the recovery.img
- create a new tar file x.tar (name it as you like)
- (cat x.tar; md5sum x.tar) >x.tar.md5
- Odin flash that
I admit it becomes more and more difficult to keep the necessary tools, files, and instructions available and in shape for devices as old as this one (I'm still confused by the "KERNEL3" series.)

Quick addendum: there's a new, stagefright-fixed cm11 available for callisto, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453085&page=27 - which is currently being debugged but looks promising (see page 29 of that thread)

It seems that there's a lot of stuff still around if you search for the "galaxy-551" tag.
Bebek's GD might also be interesting (with Odin, CWM5, and more, but stopping at Gingerbread): https://docs.google.com/folderview?...SURkMEE&tid=0B-QaRW7SLPQPTHpaQXR5b1ZVMHc#list

Please don't remove those files from gdrive!:good:
Danke sehr
I didn't plan to, and indeed they are still there. Is there anyone using a Callisto running CM11?
Last night I had a dream: There was a recent ROM upgrade for the Callisto (not sure whether Nougat or Oreo), and I had started to dig out all the old instructions and notes to make it happen.
Only in the morning, after having a big mug of coffee, I realized it was only a dream :'(

[CLOSED] - Pyro kernel

Pyro kernel
Pyro Kernel is an Anya-based kernel, with little tweaks here and there.
The kernel is taken from DerpFest 25.11 build made by Ash.
Very well optimised kernel with high performance and low energy consuming.
Both versions are tested. For FT panels any will work fine.
Install notes: if after installing you got FASTBOOT, first flash any GreenForce kernel for get rid of traces, then flash Pyro and restore DTBO.
