[Quadrant]What's ur score?? - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

2056

2026
After multiple runs, with the lowest 1905.
Be interesting to see what O/C kernels and custom roms bring
Incidentally, Ninamark1 v1.4 gives 33.3fps

Anyone can post his quadrant advanced score please? (With details).

total : 2142

Thanks but... I'm a little disappointed.
With my Desire I have the following :
Total : 1476
CPU : 5375
Memory : 782
I/O : 586
2D : 281
3D : 378
So, it's seems that the DHD is not really much more powerfull than the Desire (except in 3D where the DHD seems around 2 times faster)
Like for the SGS, his score is increased by faster I/O...

Indeed. Remember, the HD CPU is clocked at the same as the Desire, but it has a larger cache. Hence the small increase.

Probably because i've got a lot of crap running.
I'll try it again later

1919
not the fastest DHD but i just love seeing my phone on top in the result chart page

Galaxy s running voodoo and oclf. Unless this is desire hd only then i am sorry plz ignore my post

OCLF is a known benchmark cheat though, its results are essentially meaningless, apart from confirming its been applied.

My DHD scores 1937.

Lol @ cheating. All what does Oclf do is change system files to ext 2 or 4 just like how is ur desire hd is right now on this ext. Thats not cheating. Thats called playing fair since quadrant run based on qualcom archic and we are adjusting the phone on the same ext 2

Not oc'ed yet.
Stock getting 1933 not too bad wonder if speed of SD card has any factors?
Neocore scoring 56
Really bizarre thing ran Quadrant with the update of Youtube got 1933
Uninstalled the update for youtube then ran quadrant again got 2057

Galaxy S (Froyo 2.2) lagfixed
total : 1995
cpu : 1467
Memory : 1809

2D : 298

If Galaxy S would be JIT optimized it would be close to 3000 or more.
I'm happy for my decision, of returning Desire HD back to shop.
It's HD2 with 8mpix camera which also isn't much better than camera on HD2 and definitely not as good as galaxy's camera.

58fps on Adreno 200

A few weeks ago, I sold my Desire and bought a Desire Z, cuz the Desire Z has better gpu, the adreno 205, which does 58fps on neocore. Recently, I while reading gsmarena's review of the HTC explorer, they benchmarked the explorer's GPU with neocore and it did 58fps, same as my Desire Z, but the difference with the explorer and the Desire Z is the gpu, the htc explorer has adreno 200, the one on the desire. When I had my desire, the neocore score was 35.1fps, gsmarena said htc boosted the performence of the Adreno 200. So I've been wondering, can the devs here boost the GPU performance too?
Explorer has lower resolution so that is the reason why it is faster than Desire.
Then how do u explain the wildfire s? It has adreno 200 and same or lower resolution then explorer, bur does 37fps
the CPU in the desire is better, the CPU can improve the graphics performance

Would the kernel make much of a difference? Afaik, the Explorer uses a 2.6.38 kernel compared to the 2.6.35 of the Desire/Desire Z

Maybe u guys could modify the kernels on the desire to get better gpu performance.
sebastian, there are many reasons for which the Explorer scores just as good as your Desire Z. One of them and possibly the most important is the fact that is has a way lower display resolution (as hb5 has already pointed out). The other important fact is that it has a MSM7227 CPU, while the Wildfire S sports a MSM7225A unit, which in comparisson with the 7227 doesn't appear to have any L2 cache or a FPU (math coprocessor). Factor in a few kernel optimizations here and there et voila - 58 FPS.
All Knowledge , Thank you

Galaxy Nexus - Odd performance

In two days I've moved from stock 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 and now I'm totally rooted and unlocked.
From 4.0.1 to 4.0.2:
I gained overall some points in AnTuTu while losing performance in RAM, CPU and GPU tests.
CF-bench dropped below SGS II scores. IIRC I was above it.
Now I'm running 4.0.3 AKOP and franco:
RAM, CPU and GPU still low compared to most. But my write, read, IO etc have skyrocketed.
I don't mind this. Coming from Nokia C3-00 everything is different but it's weird. It's like I got the bad CPU, GPU and RAM but received a very good memory handling.
Current CF-Bench score: 10982, 2866, 6112
Current AnTuTu score: 5565
- RAM 824
- CPU int 1324
- CPU fp 1033
- 2D 288
- 3D 1225
- Database IO 540
- SD write 132
- SD read 199
Current Quadrant score: 2707
Or am I just delusional and everything is like it should be?

In my opinion Benchmarks means squat. It's how the phone feels in everyday use that matters to me.
I play games (some HW heavy ones), and i've yet to meet a game that my phone can't run properly.
If 3d mark would get their benchmark app out soon maybe that viewpoint will change, but until then.
Oh well...
Benchmarking is in the blood. I've run 3dMark 2000 on my K6-2 (oc'ed 50 MHz using jumpers) with window open to get cold -30C winter air to cool it.

One X Benchmark Results with Custom kernel GPU 520 MHZ

Dear Guys,
Post here Only scores with Overclocked Kernel that allows the GPU to run 520 MHZ instead of the stock 416.
Answer the follwoing Questions:
1 what benchmark program did you use?
2 what is the score:
3 how-much % gain did you have compared with standard kernel.
Example:
program: Nenamark
Score: 60 FPS. ...
Keep it on-topic please. Only scores of overclocked Phones. And screen shots are always welcome.
And your results were?

defective core?

any one know of a way to check if one of my cores on the one if is not working or on its way out phones bean slow ish for past few days i know bench marks dont matter but i do them all the time and i used to get over 14000 on cpu only on quadrant were it tells u io / ram / cpu and stuff but now its not seeming to go over 11000 which is making be believe one of the cores is broke any ideas people am using arHD 9.6.0 and faux 010u
You can try any of those two:
CPU Spy (free)
Tablet CPU Usage monitor (Paid)

Two cores 1.6
Four cores 1.4
Assuming you opt for uli oc and have a v3 chip.
Quadrant isn't a good bench mark as the.scores vary way to much to make it a good indicator antutu is better, try antutu the hox normally scores between 10 - 12 k on it.

thanks alot for the help people and i have just tried antutu and got a score of 12500 is that about right variant 2 full quad core 1.55 faux010u

Poor 3D graphic performance

Why do my my XS have such bad 3d performance? Even Fruit Ninja lags littlebit. AnTuTu benchmark says at 3D test 5-6 fps and my bro's sgs2 is at least 25 fps.
I am running Erachter v5 rom and
xsx kernel v6. I have tried cm10 and pac rom. No help.
Is this possible to fix because this phone is(thats what i have understood more powerful than sgs2 or was i wrong?
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk 2
i dont have any poblem, every game runs smoth, so you have maybe SW problem...
ROM, kernel, CPU Freq etc... something is wrong...
Is there any rom that is good performance and have hdmi out, camera and video recording sound and stuff working. Because i use those all the time. Any advice?

try KAsspeed ... im used it for a log time...

True, if you're having issues and need a benchmark to start from, I'd stick with the stock ROM until documented testing had been done.
The XPERIA LT26i using an Adreno 220 only gives about 7.2avg and maybe peaks of 8.9FPS using AnTuTu test(OpenGL 2.0)
The Adreno 220 GPU is reported to be considerably stronger than the Mali400-MP GPU, but Samsung seem to 'pimp' their GPUs for higher performance.
HOWEVER, you're comparing the Samsung Galaxy SII 480 x 800 ~217 ppi SD (Standard Definition) screen with an XPERIA LT26i 720 x 1280 HD ~342 ppi (High-Definition) screen.
Plus, there is a fair chance your bro's SGSII is running Samsung supplied JB 4.1 and colour me stupid, but I'm not always sure if you're going see GPU improvements(Hardware Acceleration etc)[clarification needed] in XPERIA S ports to JB before the official Sony release becomes available.
So, yes, technically the XPERIA LT26i is a stronger phone however with graphics FPS, it's gimp'd with the larger screen.
Fingers crossed we see some GPU performance gains in the upcoming Sony JB 4.1.2 release (when it comes)
I've just started using [KERNEL][ICS/MIUI][3.0.8] RaymanFX' ELiTE - V2 | STABLE | SMOOTH | BALANCED on a stock rooted 6.1.A.2.55 ROM and the CPU-GPU-OC Kernel does gives some real world improvements. I ran the Epic Citadel benchmark with and without the GPU modified kernel and the difference over a stock kernel in this given test is approx 3-4FPS increase with both Kernel CPU clocked at the same speed/governor/scheduler. I know it's not much, but still, better than being smacked in the face with a maggoty cat.
Oh and the bonus is that you get to keep GPU HW acceleration, which is not always the case in some of these mod'd Kernel/ROMs.
