Hey guys just tried to make a rom, my first rom, i hvant recieved my Hero yet, so i need someone to try it, this is not a comercia Rom, i take no credit as other were more vauable in making it, but i need someone to test it out for me
Core rom is from Froydvillian( so credit goes to him) and l1nuxfre4k for his site,
again i take no credit and this is a test rom for my personal phone but as i dont have at the moment i need someone to test it
You must be rooted and i take no responsibiity

right now, no tweeks, i have to work on that tonight, i plan to make a default Launcher inbuilt, some goodies and tweks to make it fast, my own custom boot up screen but thats in the works now

I recently flashed a theme from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852021&highlight=lucid+theme to my Evo, but nothing seems to have changed and everything still looks the same. I'm new to anything involving a Rooted phone so I don't know if I am doing something wrong or not.

First of all welcome! If you flashed the theme in. the recovery menu then you should be good to go. Try nandroid restoring and flashing a different theme, the theme you picked could be corrupt. Also try reflashing.
Also I noticed the page where you downloaded the theme states this "
These are ports of my Nexus One themes. I don't have an EVO 4G, so please test and post results."
So its likely they don't work...its ok because there are many other themes out there.

Alright thanks I'll see if that works.
Now I can't get the app icons to change, can someone walk me through the process becuase this is my first time flashing a theme and changing the icons.

To change icons, you need a launcher, adw, launcher pro, ect and you can change them their, or use desktop vizualizer [free from the market] and change them individually.

On your dock, if you long press you icon for something, it'll give you the option to change the icon.

Mate; downloaded and testet; says everything OK; but nothing changed. Thanx for the tip though...
The only way I found to do it is to clear the data on the twlauncher which unfortunately also resets everything else.

Worked after flushing data from TWLauncher...
But see that original system apps are NOT sorted; only apps installed from Market... hehe....
sort apps from market will do it.
You need root for TouchWiz AppSorter to work properly. Good app, works fine on SGSII.

Phone needs to be rooted before it works. Got it on mine works a treat!

This works great even on Tmobile's Vibrant with custom ROM (which has TW4).

I know i've been too noisy today with a lot of questions, but i'm just wondering if the hTC Sense 2.1 in this phone customizable ? Can we control how many pages we need ? Can we even disable it ?

If you mean home screens, actually not. There are 7 home screens, and you can't control it. You can install another launcher, if you want

No, sense will be installed anyway. You can uninstall unused things using root uninstaller (Only if you have root[be careful]). What about launchers, try looking "LauncherPro", and, ADW launcher EX, i think, it's the best now.
ZL is a bit too big to handle by single hand. Sometimes I have to slide a couple of times to answer the phone call sucessfully.
So is it possible to replace it with a virtual button? I do think it cool for every vendor to follow apple.

thr s lots of another apps to install and use instead of stock phone app
i know that Go launcher has its own phone apps, keyboard, icons & etc
that u can use some them separately without install launcher.

If you feel like opening up some apk's and finding the asset you can always do that. Could be in framework-res, contacts or any number of default apps though

The photo is in the framework-res apk ? How did you open the apk ?
Apk's are just zip files. So winrar
Probably this for now until I find better ones. Just something simple since it's default for everyone the dark looks kind of depressing tho sigh
