i'm new to this site and would like to know if anyone can create and post a custom lock screen for me to put on my new EVO i just baught it has the 2.2 OTA update but i'm currently in the prosess of doing all the research i can in rooting it I've spent so far several hours on research because i don't want to brick my phone.
anyways back to the custom lock screen i'm looking for, its sort of like the rotary lock screen that someone else posted on here except insted of just dragging the lock bubble from the left of the screen accross the arch to the right side is there away to add in something else like for example, after dragging it accross the screen it then enables the whole lock bar to drag down sort of like the stock evo unlock combined with the rotary lock screen?
if anyone can help with this custom lock screen or even tell me its impossible atleast i'll know right? then feel free to email me brys.l.christopher at comcast dot net thanks..

Is there a way to add text to either the slide or the PIN lock screen? Basically I want to add a note saying "If found call (xxx)xxx-xxxx" I want the security of the PIN lock but if I lose my phone and an honest person finds it they'll have no way to contact me to return it.
I'm using Warm 2.2.
I tried Widget Locker but its too clunky with the PIN unlock. The banner hex-edit method doesn't have enough space. I'm considering just adding text to the picture I use as wallpaper but then it would look weird when I was actually using the phone. And there is no way I'm giving up my transparent clock for an opaque one to hide it! It would also show up on other home screens. I've returned many a phone I've found on the street and it'd be almost impossible with a PIN locked phone.

On some ROMs it's possible to use a different background for the lock screen, you could try adding that in or seeing if Myn would be willing to do it.
WaveSecure can place a screen above your lockscreen. it does cost money, but that was the only solution i found when i was looking. perhaps Gingerbread will be of help when it hits.
you can look into Tasker. it may have an SMS based alert solution you could implement.
CyanogenMod has this feature built-in. You can put custom text on your lock screen.

So I like the TouchWiz lock screen, how when I have an unread text, I can slide down and it goes to it.
My issue is sliding up to unlock, my hand isnt that big so its a stretch to get to the top of the screen. Is there any way to alter it so I can slide left and right instead of up and down. I like the Vanilla Froyo lock screen, but could care less about being able to slide right for vibrate. Maybe there is a way to remove that and add slide right for SMS inbox or unread SMS?
Assuming I understand your request, Widgetlocker does this. It's not free, I think it's like two bucks or something. Definitely worth it.
Widgetlocker gives you a new lockscreen that you can use instead of, or in conjunction with the android lockscreen. You can make custom sliders for it that do whatever you want them to or even get rid of the sliders altogether. You can also put homescreen widgets on your lockscreen.
It's awfully cool.

So my friend was raving about this lock screen she saw once and it was a puzzle, I believe it came from a Samsung Galaxy, anyone have any ideas on how to obtain said lock screen?

+1 I have been using my backup Captivate due to power button issues (anyone know of an app to bring up the power menu for proper shutdowns?) and I do like the puzzle lock too... Anything I can provide for someone who knows what to do?
Is there a way to lock the home screen and other screen icons so I don't inadvertently drag them from one screen to another and then have to find them and drag them back? Maybe it's me, but I've never had this problem--at least not to this extent--with any other phone, but with this one it seems like a few times a day the icons that should be on my home screen are somewhere else and I have to go looking for them and bring them back. Is there an operating system trick to lock these a little better, so that I'd have to unlock them to move or replace them? If it can't be done via the OS, is there a simple app that could accomplish the same thing? I'm not looking for an app that let's me do all sort of customization or skinning or whatever it's called. I just want to put my shortcuts where I want them and have something that would help me leave them there.

Does ANYONE here know of any lock screens or methods to use custom Lock Screens that can draw(display over) The stock Samsung one? A few phones ago I used Floatify and the AVA lock screen. Made my notification at a glance life better! the newest notifications arrived. on. top! WOW. not at the bottom like some do now..................
So! Is there anyone who knows of one that can do this? Without disabling the stock lock screen and being unable to use fingerprint etc.
