[Q] Parsing Error on App Install - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

I am trying to install an app I found on the web, but I am getting a Parse Error saying, "There is a problem parsing the package," each time I try to install it.
I've tried installing it first through email, and clicking install on the attachment. I then tried by putting it on my SD card and accessing it through a file manager to install it. Both gave me the same errors, so then I thought why not use ADB. Even when I try to install through ADB, it gives me this:
Code:
EOCD not found, not ZIP.
Any ideas? Maybe its just a problem with the app? Though I've seen it work on other phone before...

Maybe it's a corrupted file?

Help with installing modified USB drivers and Recovery Reflash, Errors during install

Now I'm trying to follow the recovery steps and I'm having the following errors. Can anyone please help?
When I try to install the modified USB drivers I receive the following errors:
Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error on these specific dll files.
WdfCoInstaller01007.dll
WUDFUpdate_01007.dll
WUDFUpdate_01007.dll
When I go to install the reflash-bundle, everything installs, but it fails installing the reflash.exe saying that the file is corrupt.
I've been told I need to redownload each file and try again. I have done this nearly 50 times to no avail. I'm completely lost and frustrated.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate x64, HBOOT-0.79
Browser Cache
Most likely your browser is putting the same bad files out of its cache. If you don't know how to absolutely clean your browsers cache (whatever browser it might be), use a different browser and redo your downloads.
this is known to happen with chrome when downloading, try again with firefox or anything else
Try installing it on a second drive if you have one. Or you can delete all the downloaded files you have and try downloading it again.
Also be sure you don't have HTC sync installed. Be sure you remove it.
Thanks for the responses. Here is an update. I cleared the cache on all 3 of my browsers via CCleaner. (Firefox 4.0 beta, IE, and IE 64 bit) Went to the link and downloaded the file again, still receiving the same error message.

I had the same issue running CM. S-OFF seemed to resolve it, just flashed and tested it now.

[Q] Force application aclose due to uninstalling Latin Input Method

Here is what happened: I uninstalled the Latin Input Method (via ROM Toolbox) as I was sure it was necessary, so I neither created a backup. After I rebooted my phone, each time a text input possibility acures, for an example I try to write a text message, google sth and etc, I get the following warning message: The application Android keyboard (process com.android.inputmethod.latin) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Can I reinstall the application without the reinstallation of the whole CM7 I am using? I looked for similar threads, but didn't find any.
I'm pretty sure you can resolve this problem without reinstalling the whole rom by pushing the missing file through adb (if you are unfamiliar with adb and the process try copying the file through QtADB (just google it)) to the destination folder i.e. in system/app/.... After that I'd just reboot phone and the problem should be gone...
And if you are wondering the file you are missing can be extracted from any cm7 rom .zip file which can be downloaded from their site... obviously it's in the same directory >system/app/LatinIME.apk

[Q] Invalid package file

Some of the apps I try to download or update give me a message "invalid package file" and if I try to install something it says "not installed" or something like that, I don't know what to do
I have looked at all the other posts relating to my problem and nothing is helping

[Q] Zip flashing problems

Hi all,
I'm trying to replace the font on bubor's CM11 ROM by means of flashing one on of the ZIPs available at http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...-fontster-betas-flashable-font-packs-t2513985
I am using bubor's TWRP v2.7.1.
The problem I first encountered when trying to flash a font was the error message "Error executing updater binary" and thus the flashing "Failed". Based on the advice at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290009 , I figured it would probably be a good idea to replace the update-binary with the one found in my ROM's ZIP, so I did that.
However, the ZIP still doesn't flash. Although I no longer get the "Error executing updater binary" message, now TWRP simply tells me "Error flashing zip" without offering me any explanation.
Please can you help with this, and apologies for the noob question. I have tried installing the ZIP from both internal and external SD. My SD's are swapped - could that have something to do with it?
- downlaoded http://www.mediafire.com/download/40x5qm44a24p0dg/CantarellFontPack.zip
- downlaoded http://dualhoki.vim.hu/bubor/dev/keyboard-light.zip
- replace update-binary ( copy from keyboard-light.zip)
- install
no error.
Would you be more detailed what did you use with what, please.

I'm sorry for not being detailed enough.
I tried following your steps but unfortunately the flashing still failed. I eventually got it to work after a combination of actions, but I think the most crucial one was changing the write permissions of the \system\fonts folder from "drwxr-xr-x" to "drwxrwxrwx".
Thanks for your efforts in any case, I really appreciate all the work you're doing.
