[APP][MOD] TouchWizGTG Launcher (19/4/11 - Source/Modified files posted) - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Click here for source / modified files
This is a modified, awesomer version of the Froyo TouchWiz launcher.
---The end has come (15/2)---
I have some bad news for you guys. I was waiting for a new Captivate Froyo release because the Captivate version of TouchWiz has more features and would be a better base to build upon. I thought the Captivate would get the update in December or January and I would have a new version of TouchWizGTG out by now, but Samsung USA and AT&T still haven't released the update. Worse news... I got tired of waiting for updates and a stable build of CyanogenMod, so I bought a Desire HD today. I'm sort of a sucker for HTC Sense. Sorry for the letdown. So long Galaxy S. Your gorgeous Super AMOLED screen will be missed. Your GPS will not.
Anyone and everyone has permission to pick up the project. I will try to put together all of my modified files and post them sometime in the next few days.
---Vote now! (21/12)---
So here's the deal. I'm considering creating a new version of TouchWizGTG (with JPX TW launcher or newer as a base) sometime in the next three weeks since I'll be on vacation. HOWEVER, I will NOT be creating a million different versions to please everyone this time. Sorry, but creating all of those different versions and testing each one for each release was extremely tedious and it made me lose interest in the project.
Go here and vote on your favorite feature set. I will create the TWO that have the most votes plus one of my choosing if it's different than the other two.
---Update (9/11)---
-Due to demand, I am posting variations of the new dock version with 16-bit mode disabled and landscape mode disabled. As a refresher, 16-bit disabled versions sacrifice speed for slightly better image quality.
---Update---
-Due to demand, I am posting versions that have the colored icon backdrops in the app drawer. Apparently some people like those ugly things.
---New in v1.1.1 (30/10)---
-Updated international language files (there is no need to update if you use English)
---New in v1.1 (30/10)---
-Smoother fly-out animation when leaving app drawer
-New version with redesigned 5-icon dock! (screenshots further down in post)
-No more 16-bit disabled version... everyone seemed to prefer the speed improvements of the enabled version
---Features---
-Landscape mode (270° rotation)
-Transparent app drawer background and no icon backdrops
-New fly-in effect for app drawer icons
-Ability to set the default home screen location
-Ability to sort the app drawer alphabetically
-Galaxy Tab specific code removed to reduce app size
-Enabled 16-bit mode for faster/smoother animations

New 5-icon dock version! To change the icons in the dock, hold and drag the one you want to replace out, then go into the app drawer (or from homescreen) and hold and drag the one you want in. Blurrycam tutorial

Installation (If you're a noob, I recommend using Root Explorer. If you're not, you probably don't need this installation guide.)
1. In /system/app, rename the default TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex (if applicable) to TouchWiz30Launcher.apk.bak and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex.bak.
2. Copy this new TouchWiz30Launcher.apk into /system/app.
3. Set permissions of the new TouchWiz30Launcher.apk to rw-r--r--. You can probably get by without doing this. Haven't tried it.
4. Important! If you are installing the new dock version you must clear launcher data to unhide the apps that were in your dock previously. Go to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Running > com.sec.android.app.twlauncher and then force stop, clear data, and press home. If you don't see com.sec.android.app.twlauncher, look for TwGTGLauncher.

Works nice for me tnx!
Only thing i noticed ... not all buttons in the dock were translated ...
good job there

Thanks. Worked on my phone I always wanted to have the landscape mode like the Epic, and the new app drawer is pretty cool.

Does this happen to work on the s variants also? I have a vibrant and world love this

Probably. You'll just have to try it.

Amazing!
Looking at the AndroidManifest.xml, did you edit it or why does it look different from the ones I know. I ask because editing the AndroidManifest.xml in TWLauncher produced some strange problems for me.
Btw, your launcher works great

Nice mod. Tried both enabled and disabled... as an end-user both appear same from the outside.
Works smoothly, and really wanted that transparent app-drawer! Thanks!
PS: No need for changing permissions.

YEESSS a very great mod for the galaxy S... works very nice !!
thanks for your job

awesome work
smooth like baby's butt on stock JPM + optimize kernel

Very good thanks
Thanks to Orig poster -

The AndroidManifest.xml looks different than the ones you know because it's not from a Galaxy S.

I can't find my TouchWiz30.apk thing?
Where do I place those things?

This is a great mod
Just installed on Doc_Kalpik Froyo JP6/JPM V6 rom. Tried both versions, they both work great, but much prefer the "enabled" version. Swiping between panels is very smooth, transparency is great as is the landscape mode. Phone feels so much faster ( did not need to change permissions ).

This is great, works very smooth. But I can't manage to change the default home screen. How can I do that?

You propably have to edit your default.prop (can be any of the .props)
you can then specify the default screen with the line
ro.csc.homescreen.defaultscreen=2
whereas 2 would be homescreen number 3.

Shouldn't need to do any default.prop editing. Just grab the screen with the home icon and drag it to where you want your default screen to be.

hi great mod but you know i kinda like the icon backdrops any chance of an option to keep those in?

look nice .

Applied this using ES File Explorer, mounted as root in app settings, JP6 stock. No permission set was neccesary.
Awesome work, looks and feels amazing!

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, and indeed it's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank.
Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a usefull addition and not just a cute novelty. i'm calling it: Hybrid Mode, best of both worlds.

Franko, for his Kernel
20120521v0.9beta: P.A.L., PROBABLY THE MOST AWESOME FEATURE EVER
First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
Comes with a better panel
Allows you to switch between Phone mode (with curtain and bear paw buttons) and tablet UI seamlessly. PAD & PAL work in both domains. That means you can have 3d Youtube in 320 dpi standard Phone mode or mobile Chrome without those horrible tabs in 192 Dpi Tablet mode.
Since PAL solved all scaling issues our Trebuchet fork is now obsolete. It comes with Nova 1.1.4 projected into mobile layout.
20120517v0.6beta: Bugfixes, new PAD panel, Fullscreen-toggle
Fresh cm9 repo
Franco Milestone 3
Bugfixes for PAD preventing it from screwing up some apps (notification icons were bigger for some apps, launchers would display icons bigger or smaller, etc.)
New PAD panel, lists DPI's, can delete values again
Powermenu Fullscreen-toggle, this finally allows you to play games without navigationbar!
20120504v0.4preview: Apps were too small? Problem solved!
First ever Android ROM with Per-App-Density feature, it once and for all solves the problem that was tablet mode. You never, ever have to deal with apps that are too small again since now you can decide how apps, systemapps, framework-elements and even widgets are scaled by defining their native dpi seperately from the system DPI. Its an experimental feature and for now these values are defined in your /system/build.prop - it has drawbacks (maily notifications can look a bit strange), but that will be fixed in time. Warning: Keyboards MUST run in system DPI!
A list of apps and predefined values is included, this should include most of what you need. everything else is blown up to 210 dpi per standard. if you still need apps to be bigger, get a build.prop editor from the market, edit and reboot.
Trebuchet fixes: Folder Name cut-off, landscape name cut-off, divider bars
Please set your Font to "Normal" in the System Settings, you won't need "Huge" anymore and all this does now is provoke overlapping.
20120430v0.3alpha:
Freshest CM9 Repo
Forked Trebuchet and rewrote its layout and parts of its code to adapt it to tablet mode. I went for stock look plus tablet controls and changed the number of icons/widgets shown in the drawer. It's butter-smooth aswell. It has kinks left, those will be solved in the coming days!
100% fixed android standard keyboard
Better Bootanimation
Fixed Gapps package based on 20120429 including Gmail and a working Market
20120427v0.2pre-alpha-gapps:
Fixed Gapps package based on 20120422 including Gmail and a working Market
20120427v0.2pre-alpha:
PARANOIDANDROID custom bootanimation, still has some kinks - first sketch though
crystall clear thumbnails in the recents window, pixel mush no more!
brightness setting easier accessable
ICS toggle button fixes
20120425v0.1pre-alpha:
freshest CM9/nightly repo build (25/04)
recents window way nicer than before. close to stock. i only need to get rid of that darn gradient
keyboard looks like stock now
new bootanimation
camera works
comes with cm9 repo kernel, no color tint
notification clock is smaller, won't overlap so easy
20120425v0.0pre-alpha:
freshest CM9/nightly repo build set to tablet mode
Hacked Nova. I know 1.1 is out, but this one is still closer to stock
Androids keyboard reacts hellish in tablet mode. I fixed it but its still too large, tomorrow i'll fix it proper
I was trying make to recents window look more like stock. COULD be the thumbnails are a tad bigger than before but i'll get to that don't worry
2 notifications icons max in portrait for now to prevent overlapping
Settings comes as the first item in the notification panel, hated to scroll down every time
ALOT will follow, please be patient, i made all that stuff blind because it needed ~13 hours to compile. now compiling is alot faster and i'll see to it that we will have true hybrid mode very soon
im currently uploading a test version for you guys, i cannot guarantee that it'll work, im doing it blindly as i have maguro. if you dont wanna put yourself into a risky position, do not flash. although it really should be fine.
This looks epic

does that mean it works? coz that would be super!
About to flash will report back in a few.
Thank you for working on this/ bringing it to us
Edit: It works xD
And BTW The Bootani is awesome haha
Looks awesome, I've been running tablet mode (the other way) since last night and have noticed some likes and dislikes.
I love the all in one bar at the bottom but don't like the button sizing in some of the apps and other places and I like how the settings menu and gmail are split like a tablet
Might try to flash this when I get home to see how it compares
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
yeah i know what you mean. i've done that before and tablet really has alot of kinks. thats why i grasped the idea to do something about it. im only sitting on it for four days unfortunately so many things need more work. but heres a list so you know what to expect
screwed launcher: partially fixed
screwed phone, incall crashes: fixed, needs layout fixes aswell to look better
market incompatibility: fixed 100%
overlapping clock: fixed
overlapping notification icons: fixed
ugly as heck recents window: partially fixed
screwed android keyboard: fixed 100%
UI elements are too small: soon
apps are too small: i can make some hacks, but i'll look into a more general solution like per app dpi. no idea though if i can pull it off

[ICS][SGSIII MOD] SGS 3 Touchwiz Launcher Modded for NON-OFFICIAL ICS ROMs v.1.3

Hi guys,
NOW A NEW VERSION WORKING IN JB, GO TO THREAD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838707, is equivalent to 1.0 version of this thread.
I have extracted the version of TouchWiz Launcher from SGS III firmware, and made it compatible with NON-OFFICIAL ICS ROM's for our Galaxy S, I tested with Elitemovil ICS ROM version 1.2 and it works, I haven't tried with other versions.
CHANGELOG:
v1.3:
-Placed open folders so don't cover the Dock Bar.
-Now the App Menu Button can drag to any place on the Dock.
-Corrected an issue with the Number of Gmail Message, added permission for read the gmail database.
-Changed play store icon.
v1.2:
-Corrected an issue when populating folders in Applications menu in Alphabetical Grid, the last page has empty places.
-Changed appearance of the tabs, more like ICS.
-Replaced the Edit Icon in tabs for Play Store Icon.
-Removed the play store entry of the options menu.
-Changed the width of the open folder like ICS, the width is adjusted to the number of elements.
-Changed the position of the title in Folders, now is at bottom of the folder and centered.
-Corrected and issue with the edition of the folder name in Home Screen, when press the back button, text was empty.
-Now, the folder may be created like ICS, if you drag over an App Icon another one, then the folder is created, this only works in Home Screen, in Apps Menu Screen the creation remains the same.
-In Dock bar, you can create folders too, you must drag desktop icons over dock icons and vice versa to create folders, if you drag Dock icons over Dock icons, you swap places.
-When the folder has only one app icon then the folder is replaced with that App icon, like ICS.
-Adjust the size and capitalization of fonts in the App Menu title bars, (Tabs, Edit Mode, Downloaded Apps, Share Apps, Hide Apps)
-Removed the entry to create folders in Home Screen, from Home Eidt Mode Menu and Add Menu, to create folders use the method described above.
-Changed the Widget Search Bar to place the magnifying glass icon inside the box.
-Changed the Title of App Icons in Home Screen and Home Folders to display it in only one line and with ellipsis if the text is cut because there's no gap.
v1.1:
-Corrected and FC when creating a Folder in the Apps Menu, with more than two Apps.
-Corrected the thumbnails of app icons in folder icon, to take a separation between them.
-Added the Add Menu item in Home Screen Menu.
-Added Wallpaper Menu item in Home Screen Menu.
-Removed Add Folder Menu item in Home Screen Menu, now you can add a folder through Add Menu item.
v1.02:
-Activated wallpaper scrolling
v1.01:
-Modified App Menu so the title Apps it's not cut by the edge of the screen.
-Modified text size of the tabs Menu and Widgets and the size of the up bar when in Download, Shared and Hide Apps, now the line doesn't wrap when the number of selected apps and the text after it is greater than the space it has, this maybe doesn't occurs in English but in other languages it is.
v1.0:
-Works the folder creation, no FC.
-The functions of Samsung to set the Wallpaper are eliminated.
-In the Wallpapers Menu Selector, the textes are visible.
-The movement of icons with the move of the phone in SGS2 and SGS3 are removed because incompatibility with SGS.
-The number of unread sms-mms, gmails and missed calls is show over the corresponding Apps, Messages, Phone and Gmail respectively.
NEXT STEPS:
-Try, because is more complex, to put the Apps Options Bar of the Home Screen Up in the screen, so the dock bar can be visible to allow edition of the Dock dragging directly App Icons from Apps Menu. In this moment, you must put the App Icon in the desktop and drag from there to the Dock, so if you have no place you must create a folder over a previous App Icon and drag from there over the Dock. This reduces the number of steps.
Thanks.
Thank you very much for all your work.
If even a port from their powerhouse, witch is supposed not to be limited to anything by hardware, works on SGS (granted, with changes only to make basic things to work but without trimming anything down), I guess we can finally say it's been proven samsung's statement of TW being "too much" for SGS therefore not releasing ICS for this phone to be totally a lie (as almost everyone suspected).
ICS is here, it runs great and i guess it even runs with TW so... yea samsung, people don't really like to be lied to, tends to be bad for business.
That said, i realize this was offtopic. i apologize and i'll stop.
I didn't really like touchwiz's lack of performance, other than that i had no problems with it. Def going to try this!
Is it a 480*800 version or it's like the other porting(720*1280)?
Inviato dal mio GT-I9000 con Tapatalk 2
Hi, It must be 480x800, I don't make any change for this and in Elitemovil R1.2 ICS ROM it's working well, with this resolution, so... Try it and tell me.
Thanks
Doesn't work (doesn't show up with other launchers in home selection).
The original one works (although only correctly sized at 210dpi), but this one doesn't show up.
It would be awesome if we could get this to work on standard 480*800 240 dpi!
EDIT: this is on ICSSGS - maybe i need to redownload?..

It's possible it doesn't work with this ROM ICSSGS, I only test it with Elitemovil R1.2, or may be the zip is corrupted, but don't think so.
To make it work it's hard, because I need to install this ROM in my phone and try to correct the issues, I'm happy with Elitemovil ROM and it's hard to change to another version, maybe I try it but is not secure.
great share!
Works great on CM9 Thank you

Works fine here (except of the 182 dpi biased layout). Did you set the right permissions, lib file, rebooted, changed the default launcher et cetera?
Working very good on cm9. Just flashed package without any wipes.
here I have have removed the apk signiture. Its should work now i hope because before i removed it my phone cant detect the launcher but after i removed it works(Doc's master ICS rom)...
my opinion the apps and widget button in the drawer is too big.maybe because its from xhdpi phone
Can you port sgs3 widgets too? Specially accuweather clock. Thanks for a 240 dpi version.

[APP][Launcher] ICS Trebuchet Launcher

This is just the vanilla launcher from 20120617 CM9 Nightly for Tenderloin (HP Touchpad). No features has been added (yet). Incase you don't know, Trebuchet is the name for the stock CM9 launcher. See screenshots below for differences:

There should be no dependencies.
However try integrating it into the firmware (it was designed to work from /system/app)- ICS does restrict launcher behaviour if it is not a system app (like for Apex- you can't put a widget from Drawer if it's a user app)

non rooted i think will work, but you cannot make system app in non-rooted, so widgets will not work
Is this only for 10"??? Can we configure it to fit on a 7" tablet???

No, it is for all screen sizes (well, maybe except qvga but I didn't test this)
Like Trebuchet Concept, Looking Forward
Once I figured out how to use it, I kind of like the minimalist approach. Dragging app icons and widgets to the screens is much quicker than click, click, find, click, ... and the widget re-sizing dot feature touted in Jellybean is already there (but can be applied asymmetrically for some strange results).
However, this thing is still primitive. No properties except wallpapers.
I put on adw (former XDA launcher) just to have a more usable system. I do not look for fancy eye-candy like go. Just some simple properties like:
Grid density--I like fitting more icons on the page (I find the adw refitting not the best so leave that unchecked).
Along with this, might need the widget auto-refit idea from Jellybean.
Number of home screens (elementary).
Last but not least, a backup and restore.
Another interesting idea I got by accident in another launcher: superimpose icon over larger widget. When clicked, takes precedence, of course. Since screen real-estate, especially in smaller phones, is at a premium, this could be a "killer."
Two bugs I found:
Possible to place two icons in same place on app bar. Embarrassing.
Widgets did not "come back" after reboot sometimes.
Got a Nice Version!
There are multiple versions around for download, without any systematic way of choosing other than: The Biggest Has More Features Implemented. I found a 10 meg version in a flash-able zip that has most of what I wanted already there!
Still needs a backup and save, and important: way of resetting as the default launcher
The general widget re-sizing works great, even re-positioning to a halfway spot so the re-sizing makes sense. Great.
Minor bugs around:
The news and weather widget re-sizing works incorrectly. ADW does it fine.
Icon label text is cut off (at least on 5-row view). Vertical padding makes it worse. Needs be tucked in closer to the icon.
I might assume that a somewhat larger apk is around somewhere with more features and fixes. Once I can get it again as default launcher, I will play with it some more.
It did not passed on my 7 inch tablet :-( There is margins at the bottom and top with a height of regular icon size.

I'm proud to present the Evangelion SH06D-NERV Theme. Made especially to run smooth on our ace.
This will of course work on other devices but some widgets are scaled to match our screen specifically.
See their promo commercial here: http://youtu.be/Ouf4LfIxuo8
If you saw my previous thread about discontinuing this project, that was just an excuse to get some peace
and to work on my own pace! (http://goo.gl/lYiYu)
There are a lot of steps so I'm gonna try to keep this tutorial short and simple.
One of the solution was by making a video tutorial on how to setup the widgets,
you will still have to keep on reading since the video tutorial doesn't cover all the areas.
Keep in mind that one of the apps (ADW Launcher Ex) used here is a paid app.
(Which is why I didnt made this into a rom instead)
*note* this works just as well on holo launcher (if you have overlap enabled, don't remember if it's only available on the pro verions).
Lockscreen and Widgets:
The lockscreen is animated and interactive, the same goes for most of the widgets as well.
You're able to customize what app the widget should load up by adding a "hotspot" in UCCW.
Right now the widgets are set to:
Clock: Tapping the digits will start "Alarm Clock Xtreme Free"
Calendar: the same goes for the upper part of the calendar (UNIT ALERT!). If you activated a alarm time it will be shown under "UNIT ALERT!". Tapping the date area will bring you to the native calendar app.
SD CARD: Brings you to Samsungs "Task Manager"
Battery: none set
User phone no: none set
Weather: tapping the lower part of the widget brings you to the native CM7 "News and Weather" app.
CPU: The CPU widget actually shows the current battery, temperature and week of the year. Tapping it will open up the SetCPU app.
Volume bars: Send you to the app where you're able to change the volume. Try putting the volume down using the volume rockers and see the bars move.
Tutorial:
1. Download all the zip files down below and install the APKs from
the "APK_Modified_NBT". The Wifi Toggle widget is optional.
2. Import all the widgets themes from "UCCW_THEMES" folder to UCCW,
press the setting buttons for more options.
Open up Minimalistic Text and import the respective theme, "SD.STORAGE".
2.5. I added the Google Search Bar as a UCCW theme, download it from the second post and import it as well.
(skip this step)
3. And the reason why we're going to apply the CM7 Theme "MIUI4_NBT" afterwards
is because of the bug that it brings us. You're unable to read the folder names in UCCW after applying
the MIUI4 Theme. Apply the CM7 theme by opening the theme app and chose "Apply" -> "Apply anyway".
(CM9 Users: Link)
4.ADW Launcher Ex settings:
Use 4x4 grid on your launcher. UI settings -> Screen preference -> Desktop Columns/Rows (set to 4 on both).
On the same page, disable "Show desktop indicator", enable "overlap widgets"
Change your dock, Themes Preference -> Main dock (choose).
Reflections, UI settings-> Main dock -> Enable Dock (it should be on), on the same page, Reflections (on)
Transistion, General Behavior -> Animation effect -> Screen transition effect -> Zoom.
On the same page Desktop scrolling speed 200<450, desktop bounce 0
Wallpaper scrollning should be on (disable if you experience lagg when swiping through pages).
5. Follow the video instructions that put I together:
http://youtu.be/EvuBHD49qw4
6. Open up MiLocker and apply the theme "NERV_ONLY_NBT"
I put another alternative if you have Widgetlocker, it's more lightweight and smoother.
7. Show your appreciation by giving feed back!

Tips/review:
If you for some reason find it slow, try disable the wallpaper scrolling, using governors (smartassv2 in general).
If that doesn't work try using a RAM script, eg. v6 Supercharger.
Galaxy Ace users can also read this.
You should be able to use this theme without any lagg, post in this thread to seek solutions.

Awesome!
Great!
It is better than Glaeja, Thanks for sharing!
But it seems not suitable for resolution 480*800

I think it is because UCCW has no anti-aliasing option
I'm doing all of this as we speak on my OV One question though, what font are you using in the screenshots?
EDIT: AudioManager was causing MAJOR lag on my phone, is that normal? If so, is there another way to use a similar volume app/skin for the volume widget?

The widget is pretty light itself, so i wonder why the lagg? Does it at least look good when scaled on your screen? I could make a widget using tokaplot instead, but you're gonna get this kind of graphic, i will remove the text and make it look cleaner than the screenshots found on the play store.
The font your probably refering to is "bebas_neue". You will easily find it with a google search.
There is like 3 other font used as well x)
Hey you finally did it! Kudos!

[PORTED][APP][HOLO] Holo themed TouchWiz ClockPackage

First of all, big thanks to kage00 for porting (de-touchwiz-ing) the ClockPackage.apk, and allowing me to use his work as a base. (Go to his thread and say thanks)
Second, another big thanks for Master Vertumus (for inspiration, and because I've learned much by analizing his themes)
Holo themed version of Touchwiz ClockPackage
I've themed and slightly modified the Clock application to bring it as close to the AOSP style, as possible.
A lot of touchwiz resources were replaced by original Android resources, the holo theme was also applied to the application activities. (AOSP menus, popup windows, etc)
Hope you like it!
Requirements
ICS or JB rom. 240 DPI
Screenshots
Album with 46 screenshots (including landscape)

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Known issues
The map for the world clock does not work, it is removed for now.
The toast message (saying alarm will alert in x hours later) does not show up.
In JB, the checkboxes on the "delete alarms" and "delete cities" screens does not show properly. (The checkbox only updates when the "delete all" checkbox is pressed.)
Solved issues / Changes
The "alarm repeat" / "snooze" / "smart alarm" radio buttons now have an indicator image.
The "My files" app is not included in this version. If you want to use your own alarm sounds, put them into "sdcard/Alarms"
Unnecessary resources were removed, therefore the apk size is reduced to 2.1MB (from 4.9MB)
Download
Download the CWM flashable zip (apk + media files)
Download only the apk (if you already have the media files)
Installation
1) Remove your previous clock from system/app (Move ClockPackage.apk to the sdcard). For CM10/9 I recommend disabling the default Clock. (Apps / Clock / Disable)
2) Install the cwm zip package.
or
Extract the cwm zip and manually put ClockPackageHolo.apk to system/app, and media files to system/media
3) If you have any problems with the app, post it here! (You can come back to this thread using the link under Settings / Credits)
If you find this useful, please hit [Thanks]! Thank you!

Thanks again for your work invested in porting this! :good:
Great effort, Gyebro. It looks really nice and I'd love to use it a lot but I'm using 182 dpi. Nobody has done a multi-dpi version of this app and there are a lot of Slim ROM users who would love it.
Any chance on that?

Next week maybe I'll have some time to make an mdpi version. (But cannot guarantee that)
NICE.
atm i use the Clockpackage v2.4 from kage00 under 215dpi without problems on my phone.
especially with smart alert and there the touchscreenfunction (v2.2 worked, v2.3.5 doesnt work for me, v2.4 works again).
Witch other problems can be, with other dpi?

The alignment, especially in the stopwatch, of numbers and : characters is off. Things aren't centered either. Functionally everything works, but how it looks is also important.

to fix your bugs restart from scracth, edit manifest xml and replace "DeviceDefault" stuffs to "Holo", this will save you lot and lot of work.
And edit clock style in framework res to match holo clock style.
Excuse the dumb/silly question, but what's the difference between this app and the one found here?

Yes, the difference is that this one is holo-themed. And one minor thing is that the radio buttons are now visible in the alarm repeat / smart alarm options.

I have done it that way (replacing touchwiz themes, with holo themes in manifest, and replacing most of touchwiz styles with holo styles), but evil coders at Samsung have used a lot of custom elements (for example TWSoftkeyView and TWSoftkeyItem) which cannot be styled or modified easily (and there is no drawable resource behind them in the apk! -> They are getting resources from framework-res). And because I am not allowed to modify framework-res, I had to edit some smali, to redirect these custom elements to the drawable resources of the apk.
Sorry for a year late question. Does this remove the clock widget? Mine has dissapeared.
Thanks for the Touchwiz ClockPackage, I just love the Smart Alarm function !!!!
I've made a small change in the LockClock (the Clock Widget from CM10), so that it automatically launches the Touchwiz ClockPackage when clicking the clock, as it used to launch the CM DeskClock. Now my system is complete again !
If someone wants to try it, just drop me a line and I'll send you the file or instructions...
Is there any reason why this wouldn't work on NeatROM 4.8 (4.1.2)? I've flashed the CWM package after removing the old clock package apk, but the new clock app won't launch when i try it. Just getting a black screen and then FC.
I love the look of this and would really like to have it working. Any ideas?
Thanks!
I fell in love with the "soft alarm" function of this app when I was using that ROM, and I missed it! Thanks for your work.
Running this on an SGS2 with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Dirty Unicorns, and the app is working perfectly for me!
Afraid Ilve got problems...
Hi.
Thanks for this mod. Generally it works, and I've got my smart alarms (and programmable snoozes) back on my SGS2. But I've got two wrinkles, which I think may be related, and I wonder if you can shed any light on them.
1. There seems to be three copies of all the smart alarm sounds!
2. Countdown timer breaks. When it reaches zero, it says "Unfortunately, Clock has stopped". When clock restarts, that's when the alarm sounds. The only way to cancel the alarm is to countdown again, let it stop again.
If it helps, I installed the clock manually.
Any help gratefully received!
I am too looking for a version of this alarm that works on 4.4.2 (CM11)
I have a S2 and I just left the stock Samsung firmware and I managed to get the radio working.
I am now just missing the soft alarm from this app.
Please let me know if there is a port or a similar app with soft awake mode (Intelligent mode).
Thanks !
