Looking For A Good Headset.

someone on here once posted that they've found a Good Headset on ebay i believe. im tired of the old headset that came with my phone im willing to spend no more then 100 bucks for A new pair. have any of you came across any good headsets that you guys would recommend buying? thanks.

I haven't gotten it yet but want to in the near future. It's the best BT headset out there. Check it out on Ebay - I think it's like 85 $ or something.
Also, do a search for that in the forums, someone had it and posted a review.

thats right your the dude that was talking about the headsets...would you be able to redirect me to the fourm with the review feedback cause im really bad when it comes to the search feature... also i need a website to where has a LIST of headphones that will work with my dash. have any sites like that?

Motorola s9 for me, best headsets i've ever used by far.

I second the S9's. The call quality could be better, but the sound quality is fantastic and that is what counts for me. That and the fact that there are no wires.

I have the s9 sitting here next to me and I personally don't like it and I'm planning to sell them. I like it and not like it because yes, it's wireless, looks cool but the comfort factor sucks whereas even though I don't have the SE but I've read the reviews and I'm sure the sound quality is a lot better because my bro has the SE headphones and the quality is A1 on those (that of Sony headphones versus any other brand headphones). Not only does the SE offer amazing sound quality but a whole lot of other features. I wish I could give a personal review but It's out of my budget for now but once I get my hand on them, I will post a personal review.
EDIT: I'm not putting the s9's down, they are good and do have amazing sound quality, no doubt - looks really cool, no wires but I don't find them too comfortable.

For what it's worth, I got THIS ONE from Amazon. I'm happy with it, and for $25, cant beat the price.

i have owned the SE DS980's for 5 months and one thing is for sure when doing ur research, u will narrow it down to the Sony Ericsson's HBH-DS980's or the Motorola's S9's. i chose the DS980's for the fact that in many reviews of the S9's, there were complaints about range issues at very short distances, and its comfort. also, the DS980's offer more for about the same cost as the S9's. with the bright OLED display, u have phonebook access, call history & music track name (only with Ericsson phones). the DS980's are very comfortable, even when laying ur head down on its side, u cant really tell theyr there. the silicon ear plugs seal outside noise, without the audio escaping, giving you full rich sound quality. i am an audiophile, so i am very picky about quality. range on the DS980's is great as well. i can leave the phone on one end of the house & listen to music uninteruptable on the other end between 4 walls. the only thing really to complain about the DS980's is that it lacks a clothes clip, but i was able to use a clip off my old wired headset that wrapped around the wire. anyway, thats my personal review of the DS980's.
oh and whatever headset you choose, there is a registry setting to adjust the bitpool quality of the a2dp (wireless stereo) profile.

as far as i can tell, windows mobile defaults the bitpool & maxsupportedbitpool settings to 33 which is low and quality is very poor. the highest quality is 51 which sounds flawless.

The headset I use most often is a Jaguar S-Type ;^)

we are talking about headphones that go into both ears not just bluetooth headphones... thats what im looking for. also is there a headset that loops around your whole ear? for some reason regular headphones (like the ones that came with the phone) always seem to slip out of my ears so i was looking to see if there are ones that loop around your whole ear... have any of you came accross any headphones like that yet?

Had Enough of my S9's whats a good alternative?

Im finally done with my motorola S9HD and looking for a replacement.
I was so happy when the s9 HD version was released as i thought they fixed a major bug of swaet breaking the buttons on s9 units, i was on my 4th pair of s9's when i upgraded to the S9HD.
Now 2 sets of HD's later and i have had enough of sending faulty units back.
Can anyone recommend a bluetooth headsert suitable for running with?
must be bluetooth, A2DP, AVRCP and have decent sound... ooh and last more than 8 weeks.

Jabra BT620s may be a good choice, but now Amazon.com doesn't have a good price, a good price for this set should be around $70. Try other electronic discount retailers.
Personal idea: This set, or any kind of Bluetooth set, is not recommended for serious Classical music fans. But I dare say no one are that kind serious on for a cell phone's media player.

they seem to be alot better than the jb200 in the reviews i have been reading.
There is a pretty good video reviw on youtube comparing the S9HD, JB200 and the altec lansing.
seems the altec get great reviews everywhere and a bit cheaper than the competition too. Alot of reviews do rate the sound of the S9 as being better but alot of people do not get on with its semi-rigid design not to mention the absolutly $*1^ reliability.

They are more comfortable than my S9's and a damn sight cheaper too
The S9 do sound better (fuller sound and more bass) but i think the lansing may last longer at the gym

Just done a bit more research and I dont think the Klipsch ones will work with anything not Apple.

dam thats a real shame, any how those headphones had top reviews and customer ratings. I know its a bit steep but worth a bit more i think.

they are awesome headphones and the it has a mic built in
for half of the price, people say best IEMs for under $50 along with the Imetal 590s which you should also look at. as they both sound as good as more expensive headphones

They are good for Bass music so everything apart from classical
for something less bassy get the Maximo IP-HS2.

Another vote for the nuforce - they sound better than the klipsch - well worth it and the button works as does the Mic...

they are much better then cx300 according to reviews.
none of the cheaper sienns are any good.

My wife picked up a pair of SkullCandy earphones with the controls for 15 quid from TKMaxx. I will give them s try tomorrow and see if they work with the phone

SKs are really quite bad, if your used to cheap headphones then they will be ok sounding but if u heard NE7/NE6 or soundmagic pl50 or maximo im590/hs2 then you would never go back.

I got the (Logitech) Ultimate Ears MetroFi 220vi
They work perfectly as they only have 1 single button:
- Press: Accept/End call or Play/Pause music while playing.
Great bass and an acceptable (sealed) in-ear fit (there are 3 sizes, I needed the largest)

Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Headset?

Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some input from the community on this one as I have been searching all over trying to figure out what the best bluetooth headset with a small form factor is for noise cancellation and overall quality.
I don't want it to be gaudy, I like the subtle headsets that don't extend half way down your face. I work in a very loud environment (auto shop) so I need something that will drown out the ambient noise pretty well.
I don't want to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on different headsets trying to find one that works well. Hopefully some people here can enlighten me on what works and what doesn't based on experience.

Why don't you try the new motorola S10-HD ($80 at best buy) , this is the upgrade of the S9-HD. it has only 1 noise cancelling microphone. Compared to the Nokia BH-905 which has 7 noise cancelling microphones, but it cost $249 at amazon.
I have the S9-HD , sonic quality is very good. I haven't tried yet the S10-HD even though it has only 1 noise cancelling mic, I think the sound will be a little bit better than the S9.

I personally use the Motorola H17. Not a fan of Motorola phones but they make excellent Bluetooth headsets. They sell for 100 bucks at your local Tmo store BUT you can always save some money with our good friend the internet.

I've used this while driving and windows slightly down and my gf was still able to hear me fine. Also, I never turn this over 60% volume because it is super loud as well. Would definitely recommend it.

try the Sound ID 400, i had it for a while, it's pretty good and you can get it for around $50

i have a blueant q1, noise canceling is good enough that my i could talk to my wife with the top off and doing 60.... couldnt find any others that would do that.

I agree. Value wise, the Sound ID's are a great bang for your buck. I've had Motorola, Jabra, and BlueAnt that cost double, but were not much better quality.
For overall sound, the BlueAnt was best, but durability was bad. I left it in my car and the rubber over the earpiece pretty much disintegrated within 6 months.

Hi there, I just purchased the Blueant Q2 from ebay for $40.00 and it is the best bluetooth I have ever had. I am constantly driving for my job and while on the road, even with the window down doing 75 I can hear every word the other person is saying perfectly and they can hear me clearly with no other noises ever. SIMPLY THE BEST EVER!!!!

I would say the best option for your money is the official PS3 headset. It works with cellphones, and has a noise-canceling microphone. It also comes with a dock which if connected to your PC or PS3, will turn your headset into a desktop mic. Ive seen it as low as $25, but you may be able to find it for cheaper, especially since a new model was recently released.

I use the motorola rokr its a dual speaker headset with great sound and very weather resistant I'm outside everyday all day with it at work, charges in about 15 min and last about 8 hours

Its not that good if I wear glasses...

I just bought the sound ID 510 about a week ago....found it for on $40 (refurbed) on amazon...I have bought about 5 different Bluetooth headsets in the past 2yrs....And this one is IMO the best device out....especially at that price....Oh and the app in the android market has some pretty nice features..

I read a lot of positive comments in xda or amazon review,
after getting one new from ebay,
I am totally disappointed.
The sound is so choppy and is even worse than the Samsung WEP490 which is only $10 bucks when I got my vibrant.
I followed the procedure and the sensor is physically touching my face,
I even tried putting it on both ears!
I dont know if it is only my device is defective but the first impression is so bad..

I own the ICON as well and it's the best headset I've come across! I think the one your brought could definitely be a defective unit

Best Earphone For Music !!!

Beats by dr dre pro 'nuff said the tours are way beter then sennheisers ie8 and that is their top of the line model but get the pros on amazon they are cheap

where are you from? if youre from a place in which there are a lot of imitation (fake) items and beats is one of them, dont bother buying it because half the price that you pay for it goes to the name.. not for the quality of that said earpiece...
If you really are a good ol' time audiophile in which sound quality comes first, go for sennheiser, bose, marshall.. (not in order)

Don't get me wrong your advice is just crap. Especially Bose sells overpriced models which are not worth it.
If you can catch up an Ultimate Ears Triple fi 10 I would recommend that. They are sometimes around 120Dollars at eBay or Amazon. The Beats are around 150 and look better, but the sound of Triple fi is just outstanding for that price. The other upside, I haven't seen any fake of them. UE announced a new replacement for them so try to get them. (Review: http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/ultimate-ears-triple-fi/4505-7877_7-32492509.html)
But as someone wrote before if you just need some Inears, the S4i from Klipsch is also no bad choice. The difference to the UE's is huge. But everyone has to decide how much sound and price matters. The S4i has a lot of bass, but is not as clear and sharp sounding.

yepp, be aware they are not as hip as the beats. They are big, but the sound is for me better than any 300 to 400 Dollar In Ear.

I have à pair of Shure SE215 and think they're great. They cost around 100 dollars, but I see them on sale allot (I bought them for 50 bucks).
It's not the absolute best, but reasonably priced and great for use on the go.
PS. the Note does not have great audio output anyways, so buying top quality JUST for the Note seems pointless to me.
PPS. I think they sound way better then the Beats by Dre

Beats? Please no. Go over to head-fi.org and ask your question there. Tell them you're about to buy into the beats hype but decided to go do the sensible thing by asking people around you first. There's a lot more to the world of headphones than what gets advertised. And with that, go listen to a pair of beats (doesn't matter what kind, all of them sound muddy anyway) THEN listen to, say, a Beyerdynamic DT1350 (which is in roughly the same price bracket), then report back.

+1 on the Klipsch S4A. Integrates well with Android if you install the app. Bass is pretty good, especially if you use the Beats app.

you can even go for jabra they are also nice

Aiaiai track headphones are great. That's my daily commute headphones. Retro, not for everyone but sound is great ~80us. I have the ATH-50M which are awesome studio level headphones. ~120us these are for work when need to drown out the office noise. Just order Sony xba-bt75. Suppose to be one of the best bluetooth earphones. Kinda expensive. But amazon has them on sale now. Should be getting them this week.

The audio dac on the note is very bad. I do envy my iphone ownimg friends when im listening to music. However i have found that brainwavz beta headphones are pretty good when used on the note. Others have mentioned the klipsch s4 which are also very good but i have no experience with how they sound on the note. My rec is for the brainwavz

I recommend you read this article first.
First, Beats is just an over priced brand with so-so sound characteristics.
If you are really looking for best sound you should always pair your phone with a DAC & External Amplifier (DAC only if the phone is compatible, at this moment iphone and samsing galaxy S3; I am waiting for Note 2 to show up so I can test if it works with my FiiO E17)
If you listen OUTSIDE / OFFICE look for CLOSED headphones. If you listen in your HOME look for OPEN headphones.
Most of top end headphones require an amplifier. Check FiiO (they are very good and a good bang for your money)
If you just want a great pair of cans with GREAT sound and very good value look for Audio Technica ATH-M50 ($159) video here
WAY WAY BETTER THAN Beats. And cheaper.
For In Ear Monitors I prefer the Westone 4R. The sound is simply amazing without the need for an amplifier.
