[R] Apps we need in the marketplace that I would pay for - Windows Phone 7 General

Short list for now, but people should add... Maybe give the devs some ideas of stuff to make and submit.
1. Comm Manager - I hate having to goto 5 spots to turn stuff off and on when i dont need it. (3g while at home with my wi-fi, no thanks)
2. Ring Profile - Like NightMode or WorkMode... nice and quick to swap out Tones and Volume levels.
If there is any dev that would like to pick my brain on features and stuff, feel free to PM me.
Everyone else submit your thoughts and ideas...

I would lik an easy to use SMS backup, or record to calendar utility.

I could definitely use a tile that toggles the data connection ON and OFF with a single click. The same goes for the WiFi connection.

Yes - +1 for a live tile to toggle wifi on/off
Also, some kind of 'handsfree' app that will set the phone to auto answer calls and turn on speaker phone (for use in car etc)

SSH client...

Wish List for Apps
1. WP7 Taks List that syncs with Outlook Task
2. File Explorer app that allows me to manual copy files into WP7 or out from WP7, nevermind if it's a separate storage aread away for the system stuff, i just need to use some of the 16GB hanging on the phone that I can use easily...
3. Any App that allows me to read right managed emails...

1. tcpmp player and the ability to add .avi files so I don't have to convert them. (if there is a way to play them without converting please let me know, I download a lot of tv shows through graboid and like to watch them on my phone.
2. psx emulator with bt syncing capability to either a wii remote or ps3 remote.
3. phone number blocking program

Multimessenger (ICQ, JABBER, Live!)

I would like a call manager program like Magicall for WM6. It filters phone calls and SMS's through a user-defined rule set. Not sure if WP7 is even capable of this yet, given the multitasking setup it currently has.

I second this man. Also a port of CallCalendar and something to record calls.

We are getting some nice ideas going, just hoping we have some devs reading this that would be willing to tackle these requests and make some people happy (and some cash for the effort)

some of these aren't possible on the platform yet, but keep them coming

2nd the multi messenger.. such as a real live msn messenger that works like the pc version or FRING(fantastic on the android).

Definitely waiting for Mint app for windows phone 7.

I thought this functionality was included for WP7 in the Windows Live services ?

Tune-in radio!

I would gladly pay for a data counter to keep track of my mobile data usage

most wanted apps for wp7
Coreplayer, MIRC, a file manager, video news feeds, FLASH for IExp....
for starters...

The What's Missing from WP7S Club...

I am interested in knowing what features you expected in WP7S OS that aren't there (yet).
These are already well established (in no particular order):
1) Copy and Paste
2) Full unrestricted multitasking
3) OS Skins (such as SPB and Sense)
4) File system access
5) Sideloading apps
6) Restriction-free app market
...what else???
Please justify *****ing and moaning with substantive ideas or solutions
For starters, I was hoping to get system-wide Voice navigation. If this were integrated into the OS, all 3rd-party apps could take advantage of it. I would love to voice my text message replies instead of typing.

thats a good idea send that to the wp7 dev team, maybe somebody could add in as a app
whats missing tho is xbox live without real time multiplayer & there is no sending of messages to people on xbox either which is the most disappointing thing ive heard so far
Lots of important APIs seem to be missing - i.e. you can't manipulate internet or bluetooth connections directly from your program (thus no realtime multiplayer for you), SNAPI and POOM seem to be missing, no Power Manager/hardware access, etc. I'm not 100% sure about these, it's just stuff I didn't find in the docs/emulator. If this is true, I'm having trouble imagining many useful apps beside fart ones. Native APIs would allow to circumvent these limitations, but they aren't available either.

That doesn't make any sense...all you need to do to send someone a message on xbox is to log into MSN Live Messenger...Even if there is no MSN Live Messenger client, just use meebo.com to log into MSN Live Messenger, and send a message to anyone you want.

Tytn to Desire ... Need a Bit of Help ...

Hey guys,
Justa few quick questions ...
Is there an application or something that will log all the apps I have downloaded via my account and list them for me, so when I do a backup I knwo what I had before?
Is there an app to list the above AND download the latest versions without me having to manually do anything (Shashimi for Android).
I have loads of text on my Tytn is there an easy way to back these up in a rar file or something. I don't want to import them to the desire just store them.
I sue S2U2, I like the Android lock screen BUT I like being able to view my texts/emails without unlocking the device, what options do I have?
Lastly, is there an app to automatically backup your text on a weekly basis and email it to your gmail as an archive? I want it to also ignore the previous week's text.
Am I asking too much L.o.L.?

I don't have an Android phone yet ...and won't do until 7/8/9-April... but playing with my wife's Hero this is what I know...
You seem to have to create a level of Google account in orpder to purchase from Android Market and logging into your Google Account and going to Android Market will bring up a list of your previously downloaded apps.
I haven't found a stand alone app for this but purchasing your apps through AppBrain.com and using their AppBrain app seems to do what your asking. AppBrain doesn't seem to list all apps though - definitely missing UK specific apps such as Beebplayer.
I've had WinMo phones for the past 8 years and never heard of a facility to do this - if there is one I'd be chuffed to hear about it myself.
Dunno - someone else will have to answer this one I'm afraid
I believe that most backup apps will do a scheduled backup - Sprite Backup definitely does but to the SD Card only (no automailer), but WRT ignoring previously backed up messages I've not heard of this feature in any backup app.
I hope this helps to some extent.
Is there an application or something that will log all the apps I have downloaded via my account and list them for me, so when I do a backup I know what I had before?
aTrackDog / AppBrain
Is there an app to list the above AND download the latest versions without me having to manually do anything (Shashimi for Android).
AppBrain allows you to create lists on their site, so when you change phones or wipe it, you can tell it to reinstall the whole list. I did that when I moved from G1 to Desire -- worked like a charm.
I have loads of text on my Tytn is there an easy way to back these up in a rar file or something. I don't want to import them to the desire just store them.
You should ask that in TyTN forum
I sue S2U2, I like the Android lock screen BUT I like being able to view my texts/emails without unlocking the device, what options do I have?
Flyscreen

SMS backup
P.S. sorry, I was lazy and did not include links -- google is your friend

THANKS ALL!
Will have a look at this FabianNL as if I can export to individual files then I will be happy. To be honest it isn't a big deal .
Been playing with my Desire for a while, I can see the appeal of Android it's quick, big buttons, keyboard isn't back considering I'm coming from Tytn (as well as a Touch HD but that was BAD).
My next step is ... what programs should I "replace"? I'm refering to applications like mail, text/messages, etc the build in ones.
I am though over the moon with the device the text input ROCKS! I do have a list of applications I need suggestions on though ... I'm used to the following on Windows Phone so I need an Android variation ...
G-Alarm - A Comprehensive alarm application
G-Profile - easily change my profiles from night, work, home, etc, this would be great as a widget
Task Facade - A general task manager that will show all my running applications and let me close/switch
Wake On Text/Email/etc - As it says ... and stay awake until message has been read!
Lock Without using Power button - easy ...
That's about it for now
I use Klaxon for my alarms.
SMS Popup will turn on the screen when you get text messages (not sure if there is similar for emails) and can give reminders untill it's read.
As far as profiles, then would HTC's Scenes not do the trick? Failing this Locale can automagically turn on and off services and silent/loud the ringer based on various criteria like time and location.
You can easily switch to recent apps by pressing and holding the home key
And there are loads of Task Managers on the market for killing running apps
What does sense have for managing profiles?
Hi,
I would like replace my TyTn II to HTC Desire but Im not shure if I will be happy with Desire(Android)...
Main things which wory me are:
1.)Synchronization with PC with USB cable. I DON'T want and will not sync with google account. All I need is same automatic sync line with activesync. I need sync Contacts, Calendar, Emails(Configure which folders), Task's, Notes. Sync will be done with MS Outlook 2007/2010.
2.)Is possible set more than one email account? I need 3x pop3/smtp email accounts.
3.)Is possible disable threaded SMS/MMS? I realy hate this function.
4.)Is there any app which allow connet to windows remote desktop(RDP and not any 3rd party VNC or other)?
5.)Is there some app/pack which can work with word, excel, power point files?
6.)Does included browser support certificates? I know that opera mobile on WinMo do not support it, so I can't manage cPanel server, make payments(bank)...
I think that this is enought for start
Thanks for any help and answers.
Best regards, _Dejan_

hi really wanna text from my comp on my phone, is there any app out there that will allow me to do this? fed up of having to type 600 character messages on the phone!

I guess so!! there's "MY MOBILEr", which is an app that let u see the screen from the computer. You can do what you want, even play games. It' s bit slower than the real ppc, but it's ok anyway!!
http://mymobiler.com/ there you go;
Exchange 2010
Exchange 2010 allow you to do this.... But this feature seems to be broken thanks to the HTC text messaging app with the new official ROM...........

WOW
You've got the best hardware keyboard available on a phone, anywhere on the planet, period...and that's still not cutting it for you? Or maybe your thumbs just overheated and fell off
Like Vic said, MyMobiler will allow you to control your phone's sms (and any other function) from your computer...but it is a bit laggy due to the screen having to refresh over the USB connection.
Jeyo's Mobile Companion will also do what you need, but it's not a free app. However, it will allow you to view/compose/manage SMS messages in an email-like window on your PC, and then send/receive them via your phone...and it looks like the latest version will even thread your SMS's into a chat-type window
You might consider taking a look at WiFi Remote Access. It's a free program which runs a lightweight web server off your device, which you remotely access over your WLAN connection. One of the many features it has is threaded SMS though a web interface, so it[s worth trying. Even if it doesn't do what you want for SMS, it's one of the most useful and well designed programs I use, so I recommend taking a look.
Nice!

"My first 10 days with Windows Phone 7"

I found this post on WP Central from a user by the name of "StrkerGT" and I have to agree with his findings and needs.
StrykerGt:
I jumped on the wagon on November 8 and got the Samsung Focus. I sold my iPhone 4 and I decided to keep it knowing that there are a lot of things missing on this OS but I know (if Microsoft really cares) will fix as soon as possible… Here is my list on the things that I consider missing in the telephone. I put them in order of FIX THIS NOW!!! to what I like in the future.
FIX THIS NOW!!!!!!!
• Visual Voicemail – Whoever decided to release the OS to the market without this should get fired right now! Come on Microsoft it is 2010 (almost 2011) this feature alone makes the phone look outdated. Please fix this a.s.a.p. I love to show off the telephone until someone asks to see the vm. This is inexcusable on this type of smartphone. Shame on you Microsoft!
• Global Address List - we have an Exchange Server 2003 (We have plans to upgrade to 2010 next year) in my company and it’s a pain to look for the contacts. Try to tell your boss about how awesome is the Windows Phone 7 OS and then tell him that in order to access the contacts on the GAL he has to put the address manually! This is something like the Visual Voice that has to be fixed now!
• HTML 5 – When I noticed that Microsoft put an already obsolete version of IE on the new Windows Phone 7 software without support for HTML 5 I said like in the WP7 ads, “Really?!” How come Microsoft that is telling everywhere that they are committed to HTML5 didn’t include it on the WP7 OS. Again, Microsoft, Really?!
• VPN Support - again come on!
• Marketplace Search – Hey Microsoft how about this, on the Marketplace put an option in Bing to filter what you want like apps, music etc. I hate to do a search for an app and get a bunch of other stuff like album, artist, song etc. The way you do it on the games hub is excellent please do the same in the Zune hub. I don’t go to the Zune hub to look for apps.
• Some kind of multi-tasking is much needed on this telephone Microsoft, get to work on this.
• SkyDrive Access I love the Skydrive concept but is completely ridiculous that I can put the files on the cloud but there is no way to access my documents directly on the phone. Something like Dropbox would be great.
• A favorite list for your contacts is a must, I really like the way this phone organize the contacts, but you always have that special list with contact you use more like family, friends etc. I don’t like to scroll to several work and business contacts to get what I need.
• Back Up/Restore – Please do something quick about this, there is no way to back up your settings, saved games, outlook configuration (certificates) downloaded apps etc. You have to re-download and re-configure everything every time that you reset your phone.
• Save Camera settings – It’s absurd to set everything every time that you use the camera. I feel like I have to put a flash bulb every time that I use the camera.
The things I want to see soon:
• I noticed that the telephone only vibrate once when you get a phone call. This is not good Microsoft. It should do both in case you have your telephone in the pocket or in a place with too much ambient noise.
• I’ll like to see the battery percentage on the notification bar. (I know the telephone already shows that information through one of the hacks but it will be great if I can see it easily.)
• Easier way to find the IP and MAC address. Again, (I know the telephone already shows that information through one of the hacks but it will be great if I can see it easily.)
• Add vibration to the Alarms
• Disable keys when playing games or at least pop a menu asking if you want to quit the app like the Facebook app.
• Run downloaded app directly from Marketplace
• Open file from any applications - example, open PDF files from Homepipe
• Unified Inbox or a mail Hub
• IE Address Bar in landscape mode
• Answer phone call when swipe up the lock screen
• Drop-Down notifications
• Outlook notifications (notification bar at the top, i.e. like receiving text messages)
• Volumes controls for Music, Notifications, Games, Alarms, etc.
• Market Place updates need to show what the update changes are.
I think that’s all for now, I’m planning to keep this phone because I know that this platform has a lot of room to grow but there are some things that have to be addressed now to put this platform on par with what other are already offering.
wsantiagow, your list is interesting and I agree with the vast majority of your points.
Especially this one:

Mine works just fine. If you hit the search button in the People Hub you have an option to search the Exchange server. The same option appears when you're addressing an email message. We use Exchange 2007. Maybe it's 2003 that doesn't support it.

WiKi - "Visual voicemail is voice mail with a visual interface. Such an interface presents a list of messages for playback and may include a transcript of each message."
You may not notice anything special about it but try having a telephone that does not support it and you are trying to find a message from 100 voicemails. Non visual voicemail phones have to dial a number to get your messages and go one by one to find the one you are looking for.

Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Maybe it is a carrier feature because I don't have anything of the sort on my iPhone here. I can get a text message notifying me about who just left a voicemail and a number to tap and listen to the thing. Can't imagine when this wouldn't be enough. Rarely even have voicemail on - if I'm not available people text me, send emails, or use a gazillion of other methods to keep in touch.
Guess the love for answering machines is just a local US thing.

Are Windows phones 7 right now with this feature on other carriers? EU or in the US? If that true then I'll change the list and put the blame on AT&T. I just hate to have to dial a telephone number hear a recorded message with options, press key to hear the voicemail in sequencial order press more keys to delete o hear it again. This is ridiculous, its the same method of any cheap flip phone out there since the last 15 years. AT&T support this on the iPhone since day one so I don't see why they won't allow it for this telephones.

Should be preloaded on your HD2 if you still have the stock rom, otherwise you need to find a cab for Windows Mobile, however if you have Android on your HD2, then it should be in the market place under Visual Voicemail, has a magenta colored logo

Just turn voicemail off completely then.
Trust me, your life will only be better. Those who really need to tell you something or have you call back will easily find a way to communicate. Those who just waste your time won't do it.

$2.99 a month for this on Vzw ? I guess I'll stick with the old method.
After insurance, Data, text messages, taxes and all the other crap vzw charges me with...
I like my Focus but the iPhone 4 kicks it ass in every way except reception. I can't imagine Microsoft is sitting on it's collective hands doing nothing and hopefully there's an upgrade that's pretty inclusive of everything you've mentioned, hopefully it's soon and hopefully we don't get jerked around by the carriers again, as usual. Patience is a virtue, especially when you own the latest and barest. That having been said, however, with a little more than 2 weeks left to evaluate the Focus, I think I'm keeping it and selling the iPhone, the main reason being potential. The iPhone is close to running out of steam while WP7 has a huge amount of potential.

suggestions for WP7 features...

I had some ideas for wp7 features ...i know I am not the only one with ideas so I was thinking we could compile a list:
Ability to set -
Alarm snooze duration
Controls like WiFi off data off etc from home screen
Forward button in browser? (options / settings menu in browser also would be nice)
Multitasking and app management tools ?
Customization-
Alternate UI
More status bar actions/ usability
Of course- ringtones, backgrounds...lockstyles?
More functionality like a way to pull up more in depth menus (long press something etc ...?)
More color options
Animation sets ?
Tile transparency?
Different keyboards (or fix the current one up a bit)
added from N8ter:
Bing Voice Navigation
Video MMS
Ability to Send Video in Emails
Ability to Sync Documents from Zune Desktop Software (from %USERDIR%\Documents\Mobile Documents)
IE to Phone
IE Bookmarks Synching (Mobile Subcategory in Favorites, similar to WM6.5)
Native DLNA functionality (Play to/from other devices)
Tasks support for Exchange (And Tasks in Windows Live)
Implement support for Exchange Policies
Add more features to Office Hub
SkyDrive Document Access (coming, Mango)
IE9 is desperately needed - they really should be trying to get this out before Mango, IMO
Better YouTube experience
Background Syncing for People Hub, Twitter Integration (Coming, Mango) and Push Notifications for DMs, Replies, RTs, and Facebook messages
1st Party WLM/Lync Client with VoIP and Video Calling (for future phones for FFC)
Requirements for Ad Placement in the UI guidelines for WP7
Better CODEC support
Make XBOX Live what it's supposed to be - add push notifications for XBL Messaging too
Flickr and Photobucket support in Pictures Hub
Allow Video Uploads to SkyDrive and add a Silverlight control to stream them from the website
Bluetooth file transfer from Hubs/apps
Tethering (Wired and/or Wireless)
from arturobandini
1. WiFi and USB tethering
2. Full integration of Skydrive in the Office Hub
3. Support for third party keyboards (e.g. SWYPE)
4. Multilanguage keyboard (e.g. French + English)
5. Ability to save camera settings
6. Volume: Separate ringer and music volume
7. Volume: Force silent text message alerts when using headphones

Sorry if its unorganized ...its just a start...started typing all this on my dvp
So... turn it into windows mobile?
I'm sure there are several Android devices to choose from at your provider.
Alternate UI? why? if you dont like the UI then dont buy the phone.

I had some ideas for wp7 features ...i know I am not the only one with ideas so I was thinking we could compile a list:
Ability to set -
Alarm snooze duration
Controls like WiFi off data off etc from home screen
Click to collapse
Alarm Snooze Duration = Good Suggestion
Stuff on Home Screen You Mentioned: Pin Settings. Not like there is much in there, anyways. They need to add a LOT more settings. Sorry, but what's there is woefully inadequate. Even a casual consumer can get frustrated by the lack of common-sense exposed in the OS.
Multitasking and app management tools ?

Coming in Mango.
Customization-
Alternate UI
More status bar actions/ usability
Of course- ringtones, backgrounds...lockstyles?
More functionality like a way to pull up more in depth menus (long press something etc ...?)
More color options
Animation sets ?
Click to collapse
1. NO.
2. Desperately needed. Double tap for Notification cache, or maybe a Notifications Live Tile that you can click to get to the Notification Cache is needed.
3. Ringtones coming. Backgrounds are useless because on the homescreen you wouldn't see them, and in the app list they can potentially make the text unintelligible. There's no reason to want backgrounds, IMO. They're a waste due to the way the UI is designed. Lockstyles, like what? Pattern Lock? I believe Password and PIN code are there already, no?
4. Better menus are desperately needed. More functionality needs to be exposed, and it needs to be exposed cleanly. Android apps that have common functionality in the main menu with a "More" Option are a good example on how to implement decent menus (Google's Apps on Android do this).
5. Don't see a need, but I guess everyone has a favorite colors they want their tiles to be.
6. Don't understand what you mean by this, Lol. The OS already animates a bit too much IMO and it would be nice to have an option to turn the animations off in the system...
Different keyboards
Click to collapse
No. There are technically reasons why I say no, but I really don't wanna get into it. The default keyboard is really good and they should spend time trying to improve it in the ways that it can be improved instead of worrying about some third party keyboards (plus, we don't want 1000 of those cluttering the marketplace like Android - that goes for Alternative UIs as well).
To your list I'll add:
Bing Voice Navigation
Video MMS
Ability to Send Video in Emails
Ability to Sync Documents from Zune Desktop Software (from %USERDIR%\Documents\Mobile Documents)
IE to Phone
IE Bookmarks Synching (Mobile Subcategory in Favorites, similar to WM6.5)
Native DLNA functionality (Play to/from other devices)
Tasks support for Exchange (And Tasks in Windows Live)
Implement support for Exchange Policies
Add more features to Office Hub
SkyDrive Document Access (coming, Mango)
IE9 is desperately needed - they really should be trying to get this out before Mango, IMO
Better YouTube experience
Background Syncing for People Hub, Twitter Integration (Coming, Mango) and Push Notifications for DMs, Replies, RTs, and Facebook messages
1st Party WLM/Lync Client with VoIP and Video Calling (for future phones for FFC)
Requirements for Ad Placement in the UI guidelines for WP7
Better CODEC support
Make XBOX Live what it's supposed to be - add push notifications for XBL Messaging too
Flickr and Photobucket support in Pictures Hub
Allow Video Uploads to SkyDrive and add a Silverlight control to stream them from the website
Bluetooth file transfer from Hubs/apps
Tethering (Wired and/or Wireless)
There is more
Ignore the idiot about talking about making it Android.

why not? I like the UI, but why would you want to limit youself to one option -it would be nice to have more options. even an animations OFF option would be welcome....
stop thinking so closed minded comeradealexi and 'sure haven't'...
you guys seem to like having limited options...just because I want more functionality does not mean I want "ANDROID" or WM...I like WP7 and would like IT to have ITS own functionality EXPANDED....get the idea?

I think you need to put down the crack pipe and re-read my post. I didn't say "let's turn it into Android", what I said was "well if you want all those options which bog down an OS, why don't you go to Android".
I'll type real simple for you in the future.

I'm not thinking closed-minded. I'm thinking that right now, my wp7 works flawlessly (mostly). It's smooth as silk (and I maintain that a smooth UI is far and away the NUMBER ONE most important thing to have). What I'm thinking is adding all these options makes it a bloatfest like windows mobile was, and what Android is.

I think you're missing the point. As Apple has done with iOS, Microsoft wants every Windows Phone to be instantly recognizable by its consistent Metro UI. I can see how some options to adjust the UI could be implemented, but the ability to replace the core appearance and behavior with an alternate will not happen.
That is what I think people are trying to say. Basically, if you are looking for an environment with a user-replaceable home screen/launcher, then WP7 is the wrong place to be looking.

My WP7 does work pretty smooth about it and that is one thing I like about it...so I see what you mean about bogging it down -but not ALL of those will bog it down, some are actualy good features/functions with nothing to do with looks...so there may have to be a middle ground, if that is the case...?
I believe if they are added in an efficient way then it should be fine...possibly by selecting a choice few... or on/off switches could be used (i.e. if you do not use all of the customizeable features which may slow down your phone - turn that whole section off etc...)
All in all...I believe there are definate changes which should be made to WP7 and there are some nice changes which could be made...
this is just meant to be about compiling a list of both...but your arguments for one or the other are welcome as well...

I get what you mean. That is a point (about the Metro UI being a core recognizable element)...but just denying the ability that users demand will amount to those users either constructing their own means or moving on....I do not intend to be part of the latter ...
so while MS may not be the ones to add the feature... the idea is up there for the possibility for someone to take on a project of such....
either way I think it fits this list well because it is an idea for a feature (whether you may think it is good/bad possible/ or not is an opinion...so don't mind if I still leave it up there anyways k? haha)
@'n8' ..... backgrounds while in your opinion may be useless...I believe it would be a nice addition instead of having a black or white background all the time -pleasing to the eye I guess you could say...?
any ways - a background is meant to be just that, an image in the background (i.e. behind ...behind things like documents and widgets...) so I think it would be a nice idea -then maybe they could add an option to change tile transparency etc....
I like N8ter suggested features.
Necessary and won't obsolete with WP7 ideology.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

I didn't say you said that, I said you spoke about Android, which you did.
By telling him to get Android instead of making WP7 WM, you literally inferred that doing so would also make it [like] Android. Otherwise the Android suggestion would make little, if any, sense. It's like saying "So, turn it into Windows Mobile? Just get an iPhone." <- Does that make any sense whatsoever? Probably not

1. WiFi and USB tethering - Agree. Phone is useless if you have to tether right now. Even some feature phones can tether in multiple ways.
2. Full integration of Skydrive in the Office Hub - MANGO
3. Support for third party keyboards (e.g. SWYPE) - NO THANKS
4. Multilanguage keyboard (e.g. French + English)
5. Ability to save camera settings - It's really only the video settings that are low and don't save, the picture defaults are fine.
6. Volume: Separate ringer and music volume
7. Volume: Force silent text message alerts when using headphones
8. Volume: Remove camera-shutter sound - Dunno why you'd wanna do that, but whatever
9. USB mass storage support (even limited) - It's 2011...
10. Ability to delete multiple texts just as multiple emails (with the checkbox)
11. Ability to delete multiple pictures
12. Smart dial to make dialing faster
13. Option to set how wi-fi operates while in sleep/standby - it operates just like most othe smartphones already
14. Emails: Peak notification for emails (option to disable push notification at night) - shouldn't your phone be plugged in anyways? Or are you concerned with data consumption?
15. Screen capture - Lol...
16. Support for front-facing cameras and video chat
17. Turn by turn text-to-speech navigation with offline support - Offline Support ur asking for a lot here... Lots of phones simply don't have the room for this.
18. Sharing options for video (MMS, Facebook, Twitter, Skydrive, etc) - Agree
19. Add image and video results to Bing
20. Native DLNA and Bluetooth 3.0 - DLNA Yes, BT 3.0 you probably need an updated hardware piece in the phone for...
21. File explorer - Not gonna happen.
22. Emails: Solve the issue with embedded pictures that fail to download - Never had this issue. Not saying anyone else hasn't...
23. Emails: Ability to edit the content of an email before you forward it
24. Zune: more Codecs
25. Zune: Improved search function in Zune: the Zune search function will only look for music into the Marketplace and not even browse into your own music collection if you search for a specific song
26. Zune: Scrubbing controls in the Zune player
27. Zune: Ability to create and save playlists directly on the device - MANGO
28. Zune: Ability to download podcasts over the air - MANGO
29. Zune: Ability to add or update podcasts directly from the phone - MANGO
30. Zune: Scrobbling on Last.fm for ALL countries - This is so low priority I'm surprised you mentioned it... Should have just put IE9 in there since you seem out of the loop in what's coming with Mango...
31. Multitasking, multitasking, multitasking !!! - It will never multi task 3rd party apps, it will simply do fast app switching similar to iOS.
32. WiFi toggle button directly accessible from the Home Menu - Agree, needed - GPS control as well. Most people actually have their GPS running all the time because of how location settings are hidden, which leads to more battery drain.
33. A real YouTube application - They say they have one, we'll see.
34. native flashlight app (using LED flash) on ALL wp7 devices. - Lol... Just use a free one from the market this is not an issue.

Good luck on the openness and freedom. Some of your people really seem to reside in lala land asking for the same WinMo-type treatment that Microsoft has already seen fail colossally. That will never happen with Windows Phone-series OSes.

I never said, inferred, or inclinated that we should make wp7 into Android. Your immature response didn't make any sense. I didn't say we/him/anyone should "make" it Android. Please point out to me where I did say that.
