Not showing on my Samsung apps... Im in Canada... Where are you located?
Sent from my GT-I9000M using XDA App

Have it also in Portugal. Very nice App. Just point the camera on the computers desktop and it copies the file from there to the device. Even can upload files directly from the phone to the desktop.
Very easy to transfer a file with this.

apk please?

does it use bluetooth/wifi?

This sounds awesome. Wonder why no Canada, buggers. Please someone get us the .apk

Can't find it.
Sent from my SPH-700 using Angry Birds App.

Maybe it's for Froyo?

Downloaded and installed. Looks like the app use wifi to connect between your PC and the phone on the same network.

Not in India too. apk please.

This is one cool app, i'm currently showing it off to my officemates

apk please! its not on my bell i9000m here in canada. thanks

Available in Australia. Installed. Now it wants me to install it on my pc as well. Transferring to PC. It will use WiFi. But still cool alternative to WiFiExplorer.
Installed. Works great. Cool Intelligent app. Transferred 83mb video from laptop to galaxy in less than 3mins. Transferred a photo from galaxy to laptop in 1 sec.
Samsung does look aftr the Galaxy users.

I got it a day after I went from Eclair to Froyo so I assume 2.2 only. It uses wifi wo should be fast but I can't get it to work.
Says unsupported appliation
I don't use IE though.

Doesn't support URLs from Google Chrome. Also, no option to send a pdf file from galaxy to laptop. Can only send image/audio/video from galaxy to laptop. So, there is room for improvement.

Nope.. It works on 2.1 as well I am still on stock JG4 and it still works

Available in Sri lanka and not in India. Now this isn't cool.
But surely it isn't that hard to upload the APK somewhere and throw that link here?

Not showing on my I9000XXJPO.
BS...

chrome to phone
check out chrometophone-android-v1.7.apk or Chrome to Phone 2.1 [can't post url]
you can find it in the android market or google search
there is an addon for Chrome and Firefox, you can send links, files, text to your phone, you need a google account

It is call Market Place. A simple search will produce both of the programs you seek
you cant be serious. but use the search function.
but to answer your question. there should be 2 app store apps preloaded on your phone. atleast there was for me because i had the att version. if u go to the programs tab ull see a program called marketplace the otehre app store was for ATT apps. the Microsoft one will be a blue shopping bag with a all white windows symbol on the front. it will downlaod the latest marketplcae version for u if it the first time ur using it.
also there should be a facebook app on ur phone. once again their was for me because i have the ATT version. u can also link your facebook friends profile with your contact list. so their current profile pic will be their contact pic when they call and text u. also on the people tab that pic will show up.
please read the manual, and read xda, and watch youtube vids for all the cool features of the phone. i have done that and just simply figured things out by playing with the phone.
have fun,
BobMarley2k9
Whether the device comes with marketplace or facebook depends on which model variation you have, but you can download the latest version here:

ppersonally I think the Facebook app comes with t-mobile wm6.5 stock ROM sux. I always just use opera mobile to get on touch.Facebook.com and found It much easier and much more Intuitive this way.

Uploads Via Browser - Possible?

I have found myself looking for work and am using my Desire when and where I can to apply for jobs. However, one problem I am facing is that I cant upload my CV to job sites using my fone. I have put my CV on my memory card and was hoping that I could upload it like a PC. Instead, I just see "Uploads Disabled". Is there any app or anything I can do to enable Uploads?. I have changed the browser to "full internet", instead of "mobi" in the settings menu.

Try a different browser
Nope. Will be possible when (if) we get upgraded to Froyo.
It's in Froyo? thats great news. I like the default browser, but this is the one problem/issue I have with it. Cannot upload files on forums due to no system browser. I don't like the other browsers.
I came across the same dilemma a few days back. Sadly, there was no real fix and the only alternative currently was to use the Dropbox Android app (which doesn't work well and is very limited). It worked for me due to my focus being on multimedia. It doesn't handle text files and it doesn't allow a direct file upload through it to elsewhere. You do get the option to provide a direct download link to a file you uploaded though.

are there any news on this ???? is froyo bringing uploads to default apps????
I am running the Defrost rom on my Desire and I was able to upload a photo to my tumblr account using the web page form, so it seems it is working in Froyo.
try uploading something to rapidshare...like a zip file....if you can it's fixed then

Samsung IM app...

I recently had to flash my phone back to stock firmware and I lost the Samsung IM app... I have searched high and low to find it.
Does anyone know where it can be downloaded? I am sure it came with an update to Social Hub, but I dont even see that in the Samsung Apps Market.
Thanks!
PS: If someone maybe wanted to upload the apk for it, that would be pretty awesome.
BUMP! I am looking for this as well... And i dont think itll be as simple as the apk ccause its odexed on the phone itself...
go into Samsung Apps in your phone
then refresh, then it will show up
then install
then setup your accounts
then use IM
done
huh.. I don't have any such application on mine. These regional differences really are irritating.

Pray explain

Too bad this messenger comes with Samsung mail. only wanted the messenger app
Disable translating IM function
Hello...
Please tell me if somehow it's possible to disable the translating function of IM?
I looked in settings/translate but only it can do is to change the translating languages. It's very helpfully for me to disable it.
Thank's a lot.
can I use that if I'm on MIUI???

Pop up browser activation?

Hey what's up guys. Not sure if this has already been discussed but I was wondering if there was a way to activate the pop up browser without actually clicking on link. As many of you know we are somewhat limited on the applications we can use in split screen mode. But I noticed if I already have pop up browser open I am able to navigate to almost any application on the phone. It would be great to quickly look something up while already in a game or in an app that does not support multi window.
Any ideas?

Yes, I downloaded this and I'm positive it is exactly what you are looking for. It DOES work on my t-mo GN2 without a problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1972869
here is a news post about it as well. http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...er-without-clicking-links-on-the-galaxy-note/
it is in pure apk form(simple dl and install) and will create an app. You could launch it without clicking any links, just like you would launch the stock browser.
I am 99% that is the one i downloaded and it works perfect for me
If I understood you correctly and this is what you're looking for, hit the thanks button if i I helped you out. Gl

[Q] Opening Links in Multi-Window

Hi guys,
When I use two apps side-by-side, say Youtube and Skype, and I click on a friend's YT link, Skype disappears. I want to watch videos in YT above the Skype window, instead of having to pair the apps in multi-window mode all over again. In other words, I want links to open in the other app while staying side-by-side.This was possible on my Galaxy Note 10.1, so I wonder why it's not working here and if there's something that I need to do.
Thanks~
You may need to drag YouTube from the multi window launcher and place it above Skype before clicking on the yt link.

My Tab Pro 10.1 only allows two windows in multi-window mode, so I can't fully test this scenario. However, in Settings/Device/Multi window, there is an option to open in multi window view.
Once I checked that, then I opened the USA Today app alongside my browser. I then clicked on a link in the USA Today app, and it opened in the browser that is next to it.
