Screen goes half black when I change LCD density. - G2 and Desire Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anybody else having an issue with you screen going half black or completely black?
This started for me after I first changed my LCD density.
Every so often I will wake my phone and half the screen will be completely black, no widgets or anything. After a couple reboots it comes back to normal.

screen flickering when on white background

is this just something that shows on white screen as it seems ok on a dark screen
Screen shouldn't flicker no matter what. Maybe some settings in Oxygen? Or a faulty screen? See what HTC has to say about it.

[Q] Is my Evo Display going bad?

I have noticed that every now and then when I turn on the display, the colors are off. The blues look purple and the the other colors look faded and washed out. The screen also looks pixelated. I can turn the display off for a couple of seconds when this happens and then turn it back on and it is normal again. Do you think the display is going out or is this something that can be caused from the setcpu or juicedefender that are running in the background?

I've noticed that my colors have been acting goofy since I turned on Swype after installing the stock 2.3.3 Gingerbread update on the 20th. It's fine until the keyboard pops up, then everything has sort of a blue tint. Seems like the Swype keyboard is bleeding out onto the rest of the screen or something.
While you're probably isn't exact, it makes me wonder if there's maybe a bug in there that's causing similar problems with you?

[Q] replacement screen dimming

When you use an app do dim the screen more than the default does it go black for you? So on my old optimus g I am 99% certain I downloaded an app to dim the screen lower than the default settings and it worked. On my replacement phone if I try to dim lower the screen goes black. I am wondering if my replacement has a crappy screen or if something changed weather its software or maybe lg changing the screen slightly along the way.

Samsung galaxy tab 3V sm-T116nu - Color/Screen problem

For some reason a short time of using this tablet the screen will turn green, purple, and yellow and have screen scrolling. Factory reset did not fix the issue, so today the screen was replaced, and the issue still occours. What could be wrong? Defective hardware?
The catch is if you lock the screen it goes back to normal for a while, until the screen messes up again and graphics/colors are all wrong. Locking the screen fixes it over and over. How can this be? Recovery screen has no messed up colors, Boot screen has no wrong colors, could this just be a rom issue?

Replaced screen - now it auto dims so I can barely see the screen and I can't adjust it

My wife cracked her Redmi 7 screen so I ordered a replacement screen+digitizer+frame from a reputable seller on AliExpress. I followed a guide to the letter and made sure not to damage anything while disassembling, and the re-assembly with the new screen went smoothly.
When I power on the phone the Xiaomi logo comes up nice and bright, but it then auto-dims in the usual way as it loads the system except it dims to an extreme level. I mean it dims so much I can only see what's on the screen if I go into a dark room/closet. When the system loads I can navigate menus normally (as long as I'm in a dark room) but changing the brightness setting has no effect. Turning on/off auto brightness does nothing either.
It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with the LCD, because if I reboot to bootloader it sits there with the Fastboot logo and picture at full brightness until I turn it off. I took the phone apart again to check if there was anything obstructing the light sensor and I can't see anything wrong with it.
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks
