quality of bundled earphones. - Galaxy 3 Accessories

hey guys what do you feel about the sound quality of the bundled earphones. i feel they are really bad. so how does a creative ep-630 compare with it? also suggest other repalcements.

I agree with you. It is very bad. The EP-630 is certainly much better.

Brother I used creative in-ear's but currently I am using Skullcandy Titan and its really produce great sound.
I just love Skullcandy. Even it is repairable

what i hate hate mainly hate about the bundled earphones is the bass. it is spread out and not solid. so how is the bass of the skull candy earphone?

I think I cant able to make u understand that hows It's bass.
Just one word to say.
Aaawwwweeeeeeesssssooommee

Guys you're comparing absolutely different things XD it's a bundle and I wanna say they are pretty good for a bundle, for example when you're byuing a MP3 player in 99 cases out of 100 you can throw away bundle ears even not trying them, they're just to ensure that there IS sound from device XD
UPD and yeah, I prefer to use Cowon iAudio7 + Audiotechinca for music, not a cell phone )

senheiser CX 300 II

I got frankenphones now
cut off original earbuds, soldered in some Panasonic in-ear ones I had (which had the stupidest cable I've ever seen, but great sound quality), so I've got good phones and handsfree. It even doesn't look very bad if the cable is black and the speakers are white

I have some earphones from sony but works great! !!

Hi!
Does anyone use AKG K370 headsets with the i5800? I am looking for some high quality replacement of the bundles, but there are hints on the net that this model doesn't work well with some non-Apple and non-Blackberry headsets (unfortunately no info for Samsung ones).

I'm still giving Samsung credit for giving at least this good earphones, which imo aren't that bad. I compared them with Senheister CX300 and EP-830 and can say It's lacking bass, but is superior compared to headphones you usually (those huge non-in-ear headphones that you usually see in nokia phones..)
For the record, I've already RMA'd two EP-830's for being faulty

In my opinion bundled earphones are good.

Skull candy all day

Those headphones aren't perfect, but they aren't some cheappy earphones.
I listen about 30 minutes music a day and those are perfect for that use !

Problems with Zagg Smartbuds
I just bought a pair of Zagg Smartbuds to use with my I5801 as listed here: http://www.fommy.co.uk/view-full-pag...ts&skuno=87340
When I got them, they didn't work in the phone. They did work in every other 3.5 jacked device I had access to. After reading this forum (and others) I am wondering if the Galaxy Apollo has the same 3.5 jack as the Galaxy S.
I don't really want to spend $17 for the adapter only to find out that my phone has a different problem.
Can anyone confirm that the apollo has the same physical plug as the S?
See this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=713350
Thanks.

Very strange, I use my Beats by Dre with my SG3. Every earbuds i've tried are working

i too find the bundled ones good
i use them daily for about 1hr

I like it, much better than the ipod one and when I go running it never fall

They have a nice quality, imo.

I got a pair of earphones from dealextreme for 2 bucks and they do an amazingly good job, even compared to 10-15 $ ones

Good earphones

Can anyone recommend good earphones for SGS2? I've got Sennheiser CX400II and they sound rubbish with this phone. I tried them on my son's Experia Play and they sound decent there. I used to have a different pair of Sennheiser, which were quite good but I lost them and I do not know the number of the model.

Get a i9000 for music, the dac on the sgs2 is rubbish
It's so annoying how bad audio quality is on this. I've got some average Klipsch S3's I use for daily use, on my iP4 my ears are vibrating with the bass, on this I can barely hear the music. The ones that come supplied with the S2 are better on the S2, but nothing else. The cheaply made quality to them is so irritating too.
= What are you even doing asking whether or not you should root your phone on XDA?! =
thats odd!
my sgs2 sounds way better than any ip4 or sgs1 i ever tried!!!
im talking about sony XB700 !!
The oem headset lost output from the left earphone as well.
So I can only hear music from the right earphone.
The headset is cheap ****e..
Strange...I use 5 euros in-ear and audio quality is good...
I had the Samsung earphones that came with the phone and ever since the 2.3.5 upgrade and using power amp and equalizer the sound quality is excellent, i lost the earphones but i was so impressed with them i bought them on Amazon again and the sound quality is absolutely fine unless your a total snob when it comes to the "perfect sound" the Samsung earphones do the job very nicely.
U guys can give it a try, not only for sgs2!
FiiO E7 USB DAC and Portable Headphone Amplifier
Try using the stock music player.
If you use the 3rd party players, you can instantly tell that the 3rd party music players screwed the whole thing up.
Klipsch S4a. Boom.
Can't go wrong with Bose IE2

Using this earphones now for nearly a month.
Impressive qualtiy.
Flac over sgs2
really good.
I use Sennheiser CX300II, they're pretty cool, really good actually, turning my volume up high with some nice bass on the train, drowns out all crap that goes on around me.
What's better still, is they were a gift from my employer's for Christmas
These. With Comply tips, they sound brilliant. Obviously the recording you're listening to is important, 128kbps MP3's (or less ) are going to sound ****e no matter what you stick in your ears.
I use stock in-ear headset that comes with the phone together with dsp and cm7 music app.. sounds very good!
I'm using sennheiser cx300's too. Excellent earphones. Very happy with the sound......
But if I plug my phone into a stereo the audio output is terrible.
Very disappointing.

Sennheiser MM 550-X Travel Bluetooth Headset with Apt-X

So, I'm analyzing the info found on the internet and this headset seems to be pretty good. People praise the sound chip of SGS3 promising a really good sound. How good can it be? Could it at least be comparable with sound of Cowon products (I own J3)?
I checked the prices, seems like MM 550-X Travel costs half of SGS3 if not more. Pretty pricey...
Just prices differ a lot, check these out, the same product but prices are way too different:
333 EUR
423 EUR
On this page, one of the users complained that the volume level of MM 550-X is the same bad as MM 550 and he owns both headsets. He says that these headsets have too low maximum volume and it is not enjoyable to listen because of that.
I was checking the specs on the Sennheiser website.
I own three Sennheiser headphones myself, they all are sounding very good, loud and overall quality is excellent. So lets get into loudness specs to compare with the models I have:
Sennheiser HD 650: Sound pressure level (SPL) 103 dB
Sennheiser RS 180: Sound pressure level (SPL) 110 dB
Sennheiser MM 550-X Travel: Sound pressure level (SPL) 107 dB (at 1 mW, 1 kHz)
So, as I see by the numbers - the loudness is OK. At least the numbers of the headphones that I already have and use every day and my personal experience say that 107 dB is ENOUGH
I'm using these headphones with computers and media center and these have pretty good outputs, i rarely need to use the maximum output.
But what output via Bluetooth will SGS3 have? There were numbers of outputs including wired headphones, but what about Bluetooth?
How about these.....

I don't know, I use Sennheiser products for years, they are top notch
My sennheiser mx500 were unusable on my sgs1 til supercurio released voodoo sound. They were far too quiet. Now excellent.

any other options?
lol you know theyre expensive when you check their website, and theres no price, but a checkout option.. $500 dollar headphones..
i love sennheiser, i just wish they didnt look like skullcandies

love this headset and looking forward to trying it out with the sIII on the 30th, especially if you are an active person they dont shift off your head at all. Comfy too!
My dog ate my covers for the earpieces though and now the metal is not so comfy and i cant find the spares that came with them now! If anyone knows where i can buy any that'd be awesome!

Need help on Quadbeat 2 headphones

I recently purchased a Hong Kong unlocked G3 D855 from an Asian seller. The phone is great but the headphones that came with it sounds like crap. I googled some pictures of the Quadbeat 2 and the buttons on it does not look like mines. I'm wondering if the seller switched the originals out for some cheap knock offs. Or does the headphones really sound terrible?
I have some pics here to show what mines look like. The main thing is the volume control piece. Nowhere in Google can I find a Quatbeat 2 that looks like mine, with the + and - engraved instead of sticking out, and the center is suppose to be a dot, not a phone. There also seem to be some defect on the jack piece leading out to the cable. And there is a big piece of spur on the buds when I take the rubber piece off
Can you guys help me confirm that all your headphones does not look like mines?

Thanks in advance
Here are the same pictures you took of my F400S headphones (they are the official ones from Korea)
Also you'd look different it could be due to it being the international model, however I think they should still be the same.
The differences:
The volume buttons are not engraved on mine and there is no phone icon.
The base of the plug kinds different.
Other than that they look about the same.
Thanks for taking the time to do that. Another guy on another forum mentioned the sound quality is pretty much crap. Is this true for yours?
I like the sound quality of mine. I really have been very happy with them. Mine are the same as the description by Pilz
The sound quality is average, they sounds better than the apple ones. I don't mind using them as a back up to my Bose ones.
Really? I love the Earpods. I honestly don't like the feeling of stuffed ear but they should at lease sound decent, which these are not. These have lots of mids but average highs and terrible lows. Pretty much the same sound from any low end headphones. The worse thing is when the cable touches anything, the sound is transferred into my ear and magnified ten fold! Oh well...
Thanks again for the replies guys. Really appreciated.
I can confirm my quadbeat 2 looks exactly like Pilz. The wires split in 2 at the LG centerpiece.
For a stock earpiece, I'm surprised they sound very good. Nowhere near like my Atrio Pro MG7, but decently good enough for me to take it to the gym.

I don't like the feeling of them to be honest. The squishy rubber isn't that bad, but I generally just use my Bose freestyles (like the SIE2's) for day to day use. The quadbeats are still good enough for everyday use. The sound isn't fantastic, but then again its not washed out. They are as average as a cheapish pair of headphones come.

[Review] Roccat Syva Earphones

I bought the Roccat Syva Earphones for my Oneplus One. For those who can't be bothered to read any further, they work well with the phone, including the mic. Now bugger off and buy them
Now...usually Roccat do gaming headsets but these have the earphones form factor and Roccat seems to have thought about it like everyday individuals rather than labcoat nerds who don't have much idea about the abuse earphones go through on a day to day basis.
Firstly the phsyical side of things. The cable is flat -- stops all the tangling mess we end up with. It's quite a sturdy feeling cable, the only comparison I have is the old HTC "beats" headset that I got with my One X. They feel nice and they are moulded into the jack and each earphone pretty securely so you're not going to tear it away in a hurry. Roccat has gone for their usual colour scheme of electric blue with black, giving these a very Tron-esque type look. Microphone unit looks a bit of an afterthought, just a block with one big button on it but hey what else do you need. Earphones come with different bud sizes for all ear types.
Now....Sound quality. For comparison I have a pair of audio technica ath-m50, which I believe are the best overall headphones out there right now. Sound quality is really good on most digital sound formats. I haven't tried FLAC but on normal everyday Spotify, Youtube, Google Music etc the sound quality and frequency response is excellent. Made a call to my friend and he was amazed at how clear these earphones were compared to my old HTC "beats" earphones, and the range was pretty good too. Noise isolation is pretty good as well. I had a thunderstorm going on in the background while listening to music on these and the only evidence of that was the flashes of light and slight vibrations.
Pictures for all those interested.

Nice! Thanks for the review! My only questions are how much and how do they handle movement? I'm asking since it has a flat cable and those tend to make a lot of noise in ear.

I've been mountain biking and jogging with them and the cable noise isn't causing me any grief. The cable noise isn't any louder than a round cable.
i just grabbed these. and im not impressed
there is only one button on the mic area
the sound quality is ... on par with most 30$ headsets but not great in general
and they just fell apart. these things are garbage.

[Review] Somic V4 - HiFi on a budget? (w/ pictures)

I was on the lookout for a new pair of earphones as my old pairs broke and as I don’t trust myself with expensive in-ears, I went online and started to look for a new pair to go along with my phone. After a bit of looking, the Somic V4’s instantly caught my eyes as they were similar looking to my old pair (TTPod T1S) and the cable looked great, so I placed an order and have now been properly able to test them out.
The packaging of these earphones is made out cardboard and looks pretty good, and opens up like a book showcasing the earphones. Inside of the packaging you can find some manuals in Chinese, some double-flange ear tips, as well as the earphones themselves. There’s no extra goodies such as a shirt clip or a pouch to store them in, but that’s to be expected for a sub <20 USD pair of earphones.
When it comes to the ear tips of these, I can directly say that they didn’t work out very well for me, and I had to use an older pair of ear-tips from another pair of earphones. The double-flange ear tips didn’t stay in my ears and just made the sound very hollow, but after replacing them I was able to get a perfect seal and the audio turned out to be better than what I expected for 20 USD, but more on that later.
My favorite part of these earphones is the cable, as it gives an illusion of that these earphones cost a lot more than they really do, and I also love the fact that the angled audio jack is very robust and solid. However, the cable also comes with its disadvantages as it tangles up pretty easily and it can easily get annoying if you don’t straighten it out every now and then.
But do they sound any good? Yes, definitely and I really like the sound of these in general. First off, they have some very decent lows, with a deep and quick bass that suits for the type of music that I listen to. When it comes to the mids, they are very detailed and dominant, but they're not overwhelming or exaggerated either, which is just a positive thing. The treble on these is also pretty sharp, but it really doesn’t hurt the ears either and provide a good experience really.
Overall, if you’re on a budget a need a pair of earphones for <20 USD, these are definitely a steal considering that they offer such an amazing value for the money. They both sound good, give an illusion of being more expensive than they really are and they also feel sturdy. Definitely a pair that I can personally recommend and I’m using them as daily drivers with my phone for now!
