CyanogenMod 6.1 RC2 + Gallery + Launcher Pro Icon issue - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Most likely a n00b problem here, but when I try to select my custom icons from Launcher pro, my icons don't show up in the Gallery. They're saved correctly as png, but for some reason they don't show up anywhere in the gallery. I tried clearing the defaults in Settings/Applications so I can try to select my icon from one of my file explorers but I wasn't able to. I even tried uninstalling Gallery, but then I got a message to the effect of "There are no photos on your phone."
Am I supposed to be selecting the icons in different way?

Got it working: I reinstalled the Gallery app and now it sees my .png files. Idk if it was the reinstallation or maybe it was that it didn't rescan the SD card after I downloaded and extracted my icon pack.

[Q] gallery app not seeing all pics?

it sees new pics taken but nothing else. old photos are visible in other apps, file explorers etc see these fine. they open manually in the gallery if i choose to open one via file explorer.
wth?
Same here. Old photos (from a backup of stock 4.1.2) are not shown in the Gallery app. Newly taken photos are visible. File manager shows all files correctly in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera. The Settings menu of the Gallery app is a completely empty window.
I tried deleting the data of the Gallery app using Titanium Backup, but it didn't change anything.
Any ideas?

[Q] Flash Player missing icon

Hi,
I recently moved the pre-installed Flash Player (10.2) app from /system/app to /data/app. Since then, its icon is no longer visible in the app drawer. I moved it back to its default location, restarted phone but the icon is still missing. Any idea about how to get it back ?
I'd just delete/uninstall it and download again from play store

Gallery Issue

Recently I tried to hide unnecessary images from gallery by putting a .nomedia file in that folder. After that I realise I have put the file in the wrongly in my SD card root folder causes some of my picture won't be displayed in the gallery. And then I deleted the file but it still not showing up in the gallery. Any idea how I could solve this???
*QuickPic and ES File Explorer can open and view the pictures just fine, but the stock Gallery app cannot. I really need the stock Gallery app to work because I need to choose my own lockscreen wallpaper.

Did you turn on the media visibility in settings.
in whatsapp >>>settings>>>chats>>>media Visibility On
if it doesnt work delete the
.nomedia File - use your file manager to find this

Yes i did turn on the setting.
Tried deleting the file you mention and no difference.
My girlfriend note 20 ultra is also having the same issue.
edit: I just did a reinstall of the second whatsapp. I can now see the folder in gallery but when looking inside file manager, there is no folder for whatsapp images.
Looking wired to me....
Try this...
If you are using Google photos as your default gallery app, then there are chances that your WhatsApp images will show in your Google Photos app if you used the ‘delete local copy’ or the ‘free up device storage.’ Therefore, check Google photos to view your WhatsApp images.
Else clear Cache & data from WhatsApp from the list of applications in Manage Apps
it will surely help you

Question (SOLVED) Downloaded live wallpapers will disappear

Hello.
I download via stock wallpaper live wallpaper. It will be saved in the folder of my downloaded live wallpaper. They stay there for a while and then disappear and are no longer visible in the downloads. When I find them in the file manager, they are stored there.
What could be the problem?
You can try to uninstall wallpaper app via https://github.com/Szaki/XiaomiADBFastbootTools (a simple tool with his own UI using ADB and java) then re install it, could fix it ?
I'll try. Thanks
So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and the problem still persists.
You can see in the screenshot.
There are 3 live wallpapers downloaded. Each has a folder where the wallpaper itself - video and sound.
And a separate file will be created for each folder, which is marked on the screenshot.
When I delete this file, the wallpaper is not visible in the wallpaper stock application, but the wallpaper is still functional.
It's just that this file disappears by itself after a while and I don't see the downloaded wallpaper. It is not clear to me why the file disappears by itself.
So, the problem is solved in its own way.
1. I'm downloading live wallpaper.
2. I immediately have to set it as a background, for example a home screen.
3. A folder with the video itself is created automatically.
4. I move the separate video to the root folder of the live wallpapers and leave only the separate video there.
5. All other created files, including what mysteriously disappeared itself, must be deleted!
6. A separate video file must remain there.
7. You can also record your own video and paste it into the root folder of live wallpapers and it will appear in live wallpapers and you can use it like other live wallpapers.
