Either a Eclair ROM running on your phone
Or if you are already running Froyo then a kernel with 2e recovery so you can flash update.zips
Clockwork Recovery (Can be downloading in 2nd post)
Instructions:
Download Clockwork Recovery from the link below.
- Rename the file to update.zip
Download your desired version of the ROM.
- Optianal:
-- Download Stock Lockscreen
Put the downloaded files onto the internal /sdcard card
Shutdown the phone
Start phone in recovery mode (with "vol up + home + power")
Choose apply sdcard:update.zip (Might have to do this twice to get into Clockwork Recovery)
Choose: install zip from sdcard (Use Power Button for choosing in Clockwork Recovery)
Choose: choose zip from sdcard
Choose the zip file from the list you wanna flash.
- Flash the Rom first and then whatever else you downloaded
When done reboot phone
First boot will take some time since it needs to deoxed the ROM

Using Stock Android Lockscreen:
Download JPM_Froyo_Lockscreen.zip from the link below.
Copy it to your internal /sdcard
Reboot into clockworkmod recovery and flash it that way.

Amazing rom, tryed it on other firmwares before and loved it, tho in terms of speed and such. I however did not like the theme (personal taste obviously), will you be uploading a non-themed version aswell?

Well seeing as there is no OC froyo kernels yet i would stay that will take some time...
Also Lite version will be up soon
SuperLite will take some time though as i need to test quite abit with that one

Can you post a zip with a flashable version of JPM version Swype app? The one in JP6 don't have Portuguese language..

Are you sure that the kernel is being flashed by Redbend?
Because I could not get multiple file flash working.
Redbend executes reboot after the first file is programmed successfully.

[ROM]MIUI for Vision, formerly known as Q'n'D-MIUI (v1.7.22)

First of all thanks to the guys from miui.us, I used their work as base for my rom. HTC G2 and Desire Z MIUI.us Presents Pure English AOSP MIUI
Also thanks to CyanogenMod and his team!
What is this and why do we need another MIUI Rom here?
This is a MIUI build based on the work from miui.us. I made this because every MIUI Rom I tried has an anoying bug if you select another language then english on the phone. They mix up chinese and english for the system and the installed apps show up in the selected language if they support it.
So if you select german the system will be in chinese/english and the installed apps will be in german if they support it (if not they are in english usualy).
This Rom is always in english (except when you select chinese in settings) and your apps will be in the selected language if they support it.
I added alot more language entries in settings, they won't change the system language (except for chinese) but they will tell your apps the prefered language.
Another thing is that I added the Android keyboard from CyanogenMod since it has support for much more languages then the original MIUI one.
What else? I restored the (almost ) original MIUI bootanimation since it looks alot better , I removed the miui.us forum app and added one ringtone (ring_synth_02 alias Chimey Phone).
So this Rom is a "must have" if you want your apps to be in your native language.
Maybe you would ask "why don't you use the german language pack for miui then?".
Because I don't like the translation, also it breaks the layout in some places. I like the english pack but I want my apps to be in german (also my keyboard).

Market downloads don't work without WiFi connection, Solution:
Open Downloads app, press menu and push Download on 3G and WiFi.
Default behaviour is that it will allow downloads on WiFi only.

Turning on WIFI for the first time might crash the phone, after you enabled it wait for the phone to reboot. While rebooting pull out the battery. Put it back in and turn the phone on. (I had the same problem with CM7 too)

works on mine with a full wipe.Auto brightness is broken?

I flashed it with only wiping cache and davlik. It booted to a force close msg that kept popping up, having to do with android.acore or something like that. Anyways, It wouldnt let me do much cuz whenever I tried to open apps, that force close would stop me. Anyways, im restoring my backup and making a new backup and giving it a try with a full wipe later today. For now, im going to bed. Its almost morning lol

The 2 special buttons on the keyboard. In CM you can map an app to them, that's not possible here. But you can map another button on them (like home, back...).

Works for me, I turned on the light on my desk and the display got brighter.

I tested MIUI a few weeks ago on my Milestone (which I already sold ^^) and liked it, but battery life was horrible. WiFi had some serious problems, too.

Can't make any phone calls.

Its just the same version..If you want to check something,just try the original post in the start of my post..Also try neopeek.com for more roms , for all msm7k devices(blackstone,diamond,raphael etc...)..

2) Why do you advise me the bootloader version? is safe?
For those who pass for the first time from Frøya to Ginger is a must with the bootloader version. In fact if you flash a version without the bootloader, you will have the graphical glitch (colored striped screen) during boot and beyond.
This bug/problem is due to the fact that you are using a bootloader old and need updating.
This does not prelude the possibility of returning to Froyo and / or ginger. only updates the bootloader.
In addition, the version I posted is absolutely secure.
4) Hi, there is a video on YouTube that explains how to instll the rom?

5) The control-power does not work
Just put the widget on the home is gray, but if you try to activate the Wifi for example, the widget works then. Or just do a reboot with the power control in the home and after a reboot it works

Hi..just flashed will let you know i come across antyhing...Fast and smooth for now. I observed that after flashing, I dont have to manually select reboot now. It just reboots. Is this because of the kernel or the ROM??

Just when I thought we couldn't squeeze any more out of the sgs....wow. good job!

To prevent the Market issue, were you get download unsuccessful, make sure you pick manual syncing, instead of automatic data syncing.
if you have sms issues, use rmk's ril automatcher.

I guess this is what Devs do while uploading they play with the OP, New pictures =p

there might be some issue( i haven't noticed any yet) from the original rom, and probably from the porting to this device, will see when its done uploading and you guys test the rom.

i dont know yet, im waiting for the upload to finish so you guys can give it a go. there's always a possibility of me missing something .

so i have a question.. do u think this is gonna run smoother then the 3.0 htc sense gingerbread rom? cause i ran that and it was kinda laggy and slow on my g2. so im hoping this runs a lot better. plus i love the new lock screen with the widgets and the weather lol
