[Q] Droid X Extended Battery - Droid X Accessories

I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get a cheap/good extended battery for the Droid X. Also, how much longer does the Extended battery last than the regular battery? because if its like 2 hours its not worth it. Also, does anyone know where i can get a battery charger (For just the battery without needing phone?) I want to get a second Droid X battery but not if i have to have it in my phone to charge it.

Verizon sells an 1850 mAh battery for around 50 bucks...I've noticed a substantial improvement in battery life using it....you most likely would not need 2 batteries

Is the battery same as Droid ?

I wanna know if the battery with Droid and Droid 2 is the same. Anyone?
Yes, there's a tear down on iFixit. There they mention the batteries are exactly the same rating and completely interchangable.
thanks mate.!
What about the Extended Batteries?
How is the battery life on the droid 2?

those prolly work but the covers might not
If I left my phone alone, it seems very capable of making it over 24 hours with nothing but text messaging and random phone calls.
It's too bad there's all this Motorola junk on here, the battery manager screen says its suckin' a lot of juice.
Over all, I'm very happy with my battery life. I just ordered a case, once I get it I'm going down to the Verizon store to see if the extended battery will fit. (with the case)
by the way, Google Voice integration on 2.2 is beyond perfect. I hope Verizon never catches on...
I purchased the extended battery from Verizon (1800 mAh) and am very pleased. I listened to podcasts all day (perhaps 6 hours using BeyondPod), had Audible open all day paused on a book, was driving through spotty coverage with antennae likely doing a lot of searching, watched some video and browsed the web, had e-mail retrieving for 3 accounts and ended up with 50%+ battery left at 11 p.m. My day started at 5 a.m.
Coming from an HTC Fuze, this battery life is amazing. As someone who normally works all day away from power, but likes to use a mobile device for entertainment, this thing is perfect. The extended battery from Verizon is worth it, and the slightly bulging door replacement works fine with the current hard cases they're selling.
Does the 1800mah battery work with the stock battery cover?
No.

The extended life battery from Verizon comes with a replacement cover. Adds around 1/16th of an inch to overall thickness.

Saw the pic looked a bit odd. What is the largest we can use with the stock battery cover?
Will the 1500mah battery from the Droid X work on the D2?
How much more battery life are you guys getting out of the 1500 out of curiosity?
Anyone please?

No - Droid X uses completely different battery.
You can use the droid 2 ext bat with d1, the cover will be bluish. To hide that you can use either the body glove (motdrdpcovbg / mota855covbg) front from D1, back from D2. The red one can also be used in that manner (from vzw). The front from D1, back (with spot for ext batt) from D2

3500/3600mah battery worth it?

Hey guys, I'm getting horrendous battery life with the stock battery because my mom (who had the phone before me) misused it a lot. So I'm looking to buy an extended battery, and one that is cheap too. So thanks in advance!
Btw: I'm running Sense 4.0 senswich Rom on my g2

a battery that size will probably change your phone, bigger isnt always better but if you dont mind go for it. there are plenty of cheap oem batts and aftermarket ones that work great. also you can use htc batteries from different phones. there are i beleive two that work in ours that bump it up to 1450 or 1500 mah
personally im fine with the oem batteries, moderate user, overclocked to 1ghz, all the standard batt saving techniques, about 20hrs per charge on a new stock battery

Thanks for your opinion, do you think a 2500mah or in that range, be more suitable?

personally as long as it is the same size as the original and cheap i would go for it. i cant imagine this phone with the large extended battery, probably ugly and cumbersome. just make sure the size is the same

Mostly likely a 2500 mah battery is a aftermarket one, That gives less battery life then there claiming it to be and they die out faster then oem batteries, Not only that you'll need a bigger battery cover (not sure how you feel about that)
I recommend the HTC EVO 4G Design battery at 1520mah for anyone looking for a extended battery, It fits perfect w/o any need to trim or modify. If interested send me a pm I have a coupon code for 10% off
Stock G2 1300mah battery on the left 1520mah on the right

On moderate use I can go the whole day without a charge, On heavy use I charge once in the morning and once by the end of the night.
Anker is a aftermarket battery, One of the ones I was talking about in my last post you're not getting the reported mah level you paid for.
Go to http://batteryboss.org to see battery tests
I second the Evo battery; I was having to recharge early in the evening, now I can usually make it a full day with moderate use (ie. no hour of streaming videos or games) but, even with some streaming, etc. I usually just have to plug it in at the tail end of the day for a little bit, like during dinner.

There was a post on a 4800mah battery and it was not much better than the original only about 30 minutes if I were you I would buy another oem battery to carry in your pocket thank me if I helped!

there's a couple threads on Anker batteries on here. some people are saying theyre just as good as OEM, maybe a little better.
I bought 1 and it just came in the mail today. Im gonna run it a few days and see how it goes.
also, I was close to buying 3x 2100 mah batteries + wall charger on ebay for like $13, but decided to go with the Anker batteries
Did the one you just buy 4800mah?

Hyperion extended battery for Galaxy s3
I have purchased a Hyperion 4000mah extended battery for the GSIII and I justed received it today. It is the second I purchase with the original being for my Droid Charge and I never had trouble including for the charge the longest it lasted me was 26hrs on a single charge it's the longest I remember and it was the second charge. The important thing is you must follow the instructions, when you first receive it put it on and use it with the charge the battery already has until it completely drains and then charge it for a full 12 hours. For five consecutive times use it til it completely drains and unplug when it reaches a hundred percent and it will last you for a very long time. So far for my extended battery received today it had 67% right out of the package and it has been in use for 8hrs with my wifi on and used moderately and still has 31% power. One more thing, they come with a back cover for the battery and the battery is actually 4200mah 19.99 plus 5.58 shipping and it ships free if you spend and extra 5 bucks on something else. Good luck.

Extended Battery

Is there a concept of extended battery in gnex. Cause here in Pakistan, i found that guy who have gnex's 3800mah. Is it ok to have one, i mean does it harm your phone, or bigger in size, or does it really extend your mobile's battery life.
I think the stock battery is roughly 2100mah so a 3800mah battery will last you longer. It discharges at the same rate just has more juice so it'll last you longer and not harm your phone. just make sure you get one made for the gnex and not another phone that maybe needs more or less juice than the gnex

Best battery for this phone?

So I'm looking for an extended battery. I came across this battery and wanted to know if anyone has tried it?

If not can someone direct me to an extended battery cover like it. I currently have a 3800mah very similar to this one

I found the best reviews have been Qcell and Trexcell for extended batteries. I just ordered myself a 4100Mah QCell on Ebay. Also make sure to follow proper conditioning.
Full discharge and full recharge 6 times. Leave the charger connected 2 hours after it has hit 100 if charging in the phone
Every other time after the conditioning don't let the battery die out.
Charge the battery around 20% don't let it drop that low and it'll extend it's life and will hold it charge
I have that same chinese generic extended battery. I got 4 with 4 covers for 20$ and they are garbage lol. I have had them for almost a year and they can't even give me 6 hours with 2 hours of screen time and thats after a 10 hour charge on them. My stock samsung 1800mah battery outperforms them already so i just tossed them out and I'm waiting on QCell.
Edit: Hyperion and Gorilla are good as well.
Yea I have a Qcell its boss.
