How can stop reminder from waking the phone?

I can make the SMS stop waking the phone via advanced config that is stock on my current ROM.
I want to keep my phone from coming out of sleep mode when I get a reminder. When it is in my pocket, I do not want it to wake up untill I take it out and push the button.
Thank you,
Jeff
Ditto. Me too.
anyone found a solution ?
I'm a bit confused about what's being asked... it sounds like you're saying you don't want a reminded to remind you... you just want it to tell you that you missed it when you check your phone two hours after your appointment. Would you also, perhaps, like an alarm clock that doesn't make any noise when the alarm goes off?
it should not wake the device, as in "turn on the display, and react to touch" , so it goes bananas in the pocket.
It should play a sound, and/or vibrate and/or flash light - as configured in notifications.
- just don't activate the display...
in other words; same as with new SMS or Email notification..
Me too.
I have the same issue. I have my phone synched with my work computer (outlook). I would like the reminders to appear on the computer only.

Basic Android Notification question

I'm new to Android, coming from WM6.1. I am unable to find info on something I suspect is basic: is there a way to turn off audible notifications, and can I put a shortcut to the setting on a homescreen?
My EVO kept going off last night, seemed like every hour or so, to remind me of someone's birthday. I was too tired to get up and turn if off.
Can I turn those kind of notifications off temp without turning off the ringer?
Maybe someone could point me where to find this info? did a search b4 work but found nothing.
Don't have the Evo in front of me, but I believe if you go to your calendar, click on an event. Go to menu, more, then settings. From there you will have the option about alerts and what not.
Well, yes, thats true. However, that supposes you REMEMBER there is an event coming, which kind of negates the need to put it in your calender in the first place.
With my WinMo 6.1 Fuze I was able to set both the ringer volume and the notification volume separately, simply using the volume rocker on the side of the phone. so every night I would turn the notification volume down and leave the ringer volume alone.
I use quick settings as my default settings from the market for things such as volume and brightness because it allows you to keep it in your notification shade.
if you had that installed you would do as follows >volume control>and then slide the volumes down individually for alerts, ringer, notifications, etc. I think that is what you are trying to do. then you could set it back.

Calendar Based Phone status app

Hi Guys, i was just wondering if this has been done beofre, and if not why not?
I was wondering if your phone could read your caledar and adjust the phone's ringtone, ring volume level, key tones etc to suit.
scenario 1: your calendar says you are in a meeting at work, phone automatically goes onto silent and mutles all sounds.
Scenario 2: calendar says at work, phone goes onto vibrate or lowest audiable level of sound and disable key tones.
Scenario 3: calendar says nothing, phone goes onto loud ring with full keytones.
These could be setup for outdoor pursuits, dates, and maybe even a bed time setting.
When i owned a BB bold, you could place your phone into the dock and it would automatically turn off all sounds etc, could this be done based on just the time of the day.
Obviously not everyone uses their caeldar to log every part of their life in great detail, but it would even work for those who DO put things like meeting into their calendar, to save the embarrassment of having your phone go off mid-meeting.
Im sure that some of this could be done using tasker, but for those who find tasker a bit daunting, this could be ideal!
Thanks Guys

[Q] My moto 360 no longer vibrates when getting a message (or notification)

Hi
My watch no longer vibrates when I get a notification or message. It's there if I look manually, but I don't get notified by it. It still vibrates when getting a call or a alarm, so the vibrate function is still functional.
Anyone have any idea what could be the reason?
Thanks in advance
Yup, noticed this too after updating to 5.1.1
This is happening to me too. I hope there is a resolution soon. Missed a meeting.
By design, the watch only vibrates on events that your phone would vibrate for. is it possible you hvae a setting on your phone that is set not to vibrate on messages for some reason?
Are these meetings in Google Calendar? For some reason Google turned of notification by default recently in Google Calendar.
- Go to calendar.google.com
- Go to Settings, Calendar tab
- 'Edit notifications' for your calendar name
- Add a Popup notification
Not sure why they turned this off by default. Pissed off many.
