[Q] How do I disable/remove the toggle widgets in the 3.5 SkyRaider rom? - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed SkyRaider 3.5, everything is great. But I'd like to not have the toggle widgets on the notification pull-down.
Is there an easy way to do this? I tried making /system/skyraider/widget.user/custom.txt blank, but that didn't work.

It is in the SERVICES JAR. PM the developer. He can point you in the right direction.

Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764787&highlight=Sexy+Rosie
Then go down to where it says "Power Widget Toggles *NEW*"
It tells you there.

That doesn't tell us how to remove it altogether.

nevermind when I rebooted they came back weird

Just removing the text will not remove the notification widgets. The text file allows you to modify what is in the power bar. Learning it blank gives you a default.

Yea, i noticed this. Hopefully ihtfp69 will chime in here.

The answer will be found in the service.jar file. You may be able to remove the file that represents the Power Bar. I am not sure if you need to remove all the files or if you could just remove the one representing the power bar. The other option would be to pull the services.jar out of the prior version of SR and swap them out...
Have you PM'd ihtfp69 to see if he can produce a NO POWER MOD zip? The other person that may be able to help out is Bezerker.

I have, got repsonse today. He says it will be in 4.0.
He suggests putting a single | character in the custom.txt file, it might disable it.

[Q] [HELP] Finding correct PNGs

Does anyone know a guide that will tell someone which images in drawable folders are to what? I need a freakin road map. Tired of looking through all of these.
Anyways, I'm trying to find the image to change the USB notification icon (the one that pops up when usb cable connected/charging). Also trying to find the background image(s) that is behind menus such as: Power button options, app selection window, pretty much all windows that pop up on the screen with options.
If someone knows and could point me to the names of these that would be terrific.
Thanks.
Seriously?
Where is the community love? I know someone on XDA knows this stuff.
I'm wondering where the power menu backgrounds are aswell.
Not to steal your thread but I'm looking for the "all apps" header.

Just post over in the dev section. Its the wrong section, you'll get flamed, but your question will probably get answered. Everyone complains "post this in the general/questions section" but everyone knows the only ones getting are themes/mods and the dev.
Sorry I couldn't be constructive and answer your question.

Why don't you dissect an existing theme and see what is changed in that. That's gunna be your best road map. And the usb icon is not in the system, its in PCSC11.apk in system/app

Are you using a Sense ROM or some AOSP variation? Because the .png is in different places and named different for the USB icon. The USB icon is in the frame-res.apk and is called stat_sys_data_usb on AOSP and on Sense its in the PCSCII.apk and is called usb_to_pc_notify. As far as your other question, you pretty much answered your own question. Theyre called popup_.xxx.png. Theres full, medium, dark and bright ones. They control all the pop-ups. Also again it is important which Rom youre using because in AOSP theres only one set in frame-res.apk and on Sense there's two sets one in frame-res and one in htc.resources.apk and you have to change both of them because they pop up for different things.

Sense based. I changed the popup ones but didn't do what I needed. Gonna just change all the menu named ones and should find it hopefully. Thanks for the help.

Changed all the popup_xxx.png that I could find but still didn't change the power options menu (one from holding down power button), the "do you want to add this number into contacts" one, and some other popup menus. Any ideas on where I need to look?
Thanks.

The power options menu icons are buried in com.htc.resources.apk from what I remember. Trying to theme Sense is a huge pain in the ass compared to AOSP since the PNGs are all over the place and there's some that aren't even used packed in there too.
Edit: Wait, just realized that's not what you're looking for, if I'm correct on what you're looking for, I'm not sure where they're at either but it should be framework-res or com.htc.resources.
**Solved**

(UPDATED)Semi-transparent simple and clean notification and toggles

We need some variety and i was getting kinda bored with the phisher-price/blinky lights look of the toggles. Toggles are now simple and clean Ice Cream Sandwich blue. Notifications still appear in black backgrounds. I also got rid of the full battery icon that would appear in the top left corner when battery was fully charged i dont need that my lockscreen does that.
instructions
download file, unzip, put on sdcard, open root explorer and move systemui.apk to system, make sure you toggle ro/rw in top right corner, long press on it select permissions change permissions according to the picture below, now move it into the app folder, root explorer will ask if you want to overwrite the original click yes. Thats it exit root explorer reboot your phone
sorry for the long drawn out instructions i just dont want anyone to get lost. Feel free to use any of this artwork in what ever you heart desires.
Thanks! I really like this. The toggle icons look great and so does the translucent pull down.
The only suggestion I have would be to make the background behind the toggles dark. Sometimes it's hard to see them when the background is bleeding through.
Again, nice work.

Did you also remove the systemui.odex file? If so, that's the problem. You need to keep the odex file in place.
you seem to have 2 notif folders with the same systemui.apk.. ?

[Q] power control widget

For some reason my power control widget is not working. I can place it on my screen but there are no buttons in it for me to select. What is the stock apk? Looking to find a stock one that would work with EL30.
What rom are you running? I've had this problem before, but it's been a while. I use cleanGB mtd right now.
sent from my secret underground bunker
I'm currently on cleanGB and minimalistic black theme. But I also ran advance data restore when I jumped over to EL30. I'm not sure what the apk is for the power control. I need the name so I can pull it from a rom or theme and push it through and see if it will fix it.

This is a common bug. Do this....
Place the widget on your desired screen and restart your phone, it will appear, give it time. I have experienced this bug on 75% of the ROMS i've tried.
Also try fixing permissions if that does not correct the problem.
that worked. thanks!
Another simpler solution that I always use is just place the widget anywhere then turn on wifi from ur status bar and it'll bring up all the buttons

[REQUEST] Stock notification bar- No scrolling

I would like to ask if any forum members have the knowledge or ability to modify the current set of toggles in the notifications bar so that they do not scroll when you first pull down the bar. It may be a minor annoyance, but the precious few seconds i waste by clicking on mobile data whilst waiting for it to scroll across to Wi-Fi is a killer

How about just change the toggles order? The scroll is actually kind of cool to me.
You can follow guide here to change the toggles order. Or you can just flash my theme, I do got one theme which is same stock look, just only change the order.
Unfortunately I don't want to just rearrange the icons and would like to stop the scrolling animation all together.
(Bump)
If you flash a 15 Toggle mod it will disable the automatic scrolling of the notification items.
If you are on a deodexed LF6, here are two options for you:
Stock look
Darker look

In on omega 6.0 based on LF2 will it still work? Or are they that specific to version ?
You know what, I find the same thing annoying. Would love to disable it as well.
I'm running a rooted stock. Don't wanna change the order, I like the look of the stock toggles, so not really interested in changing them. Just want the damned scrolling to stop!!!
Here i thought I was going to be the only one annoyed by this. Would definitely love a way to just get it to load up at the first 5 without having to animate the little scrollback
This scrolling is the first thing i noticed and it annoyed me quite a bit. Keep hitting the wrong button while trying to enable Wifi as used to the quick press on the S2.
Does anyone know of a fix for this?
If not, I think there's a gap for an app!

if you're really bothered and this is a real issue for you - Omega 7.1 does NOT scroll the toggles when pulling down the notification bar.
edit: didn't read above properly... seems this is because of the 15 toggles mod.

use the 15 toggles, then it won't scroll.
Could I use that on the stock rom?

OMG, i'm irritated by this same problem, when i pull down the notification bar just to activate/deactivate mobile data, it starts scrolling to the left. Anyone found a way to disable it without rooting

Disable Capacitive Button Lights
If you'd rather have the capacitive button lights off:
Download "Night Mode" from play store
Set slider to 100% and start service
Go to settings
Disable "Minimum brightness" and "notification"
Now it won't mess with your brightness but disable capacitive button backlights

I've tried, but the PNG's don't appear to be in res/drawable-hdpi. I'll look through the other folders tomorrow to see if I can find anything.
If I can, I plan on making another mod for Gnex style buttons.

I followed a guide to do the edits and you probably did too so its none of our works really.
I spent hours figuring out how to successfully recompile framework-res.apk. Then I had to figure out how to get it to boot. Then I had to change the height and figure out how to disable capacitive backlight.
Instead of being selfish, I released my mod to public.
I guess releasing my own work to public was a mistake.

Go to freezas system apk thread and use that to figure out how to decompile/recompile system apps.
Decompile framework-Res.apk. do all of your editing. Then you can recompile and push to /system/framework and boot the phone. If you did everything correctly, the bar at the bottom should reflect the edits.

Anybody can do this btw. Decompile framework-res.apk, look for the Navigation bar bool and set it to "true"
If you want different pngs for the buttons you need to look in SystemUI.apk
Here's a blank zip you can use
http://db.tt/mmOQPE5Z
Extract it and add a system folder then add an app folder within it (if modifying anything in /system/app or a /system/framework folder if you modified anything in /system/framework) and place your modified apk's in the appropriate folders
Zip up the META folder and system folder and flash in recovery

Sorry, man. Was half asleep when I saw this, and wasn't exactly rational.
To be fair though, monstaX and I were going back and forth on this over in Themes & Apps over the last couple days, and all progress was very visible there.

I was gonna package it and post it here (with an additional edit to the /keylayout folder to turn off capacitive keys and remap home to be a camera key) but my wife's car broke down yesterday and I had to deal with that.
Again, I apologize for being a douche. I need to stop using the internet when I'm tired.
