[26.JAN][DFT/CWM] NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9G [Android2.2.2][Kernel: tytung_r2_oldcam] - HD2 Android NAND Development

This ROM is based on stock Nexus One, including FRG83G OTA (Froyo / Android 2.2.2).
Kernel: tytung r2 oldcam (supports CIFS UTF-8, WiFi MAC address, Yaffs, Ext2/3/4) based on hastarin r8.6 oldcam.
Credits: Cotulla, TYTung, Hastarin, Markinus, Letama, Rajko, Gauner1986, RaiderX303, Dsixda, etc.
1. Installation
===============
You should have at least MAGLDR 1.11 on device.
For installation you need to enter MAGLDR (hold "Power" button during boot)
and select "Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is green "Call" button.
2. Uninstallation
=================
You should flash stock official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM.
3. Information
==============
This is based on stock Nexus One ROM except
blocking ads (hosts is replaced),
adding utility and root permission (busybox, su and Superuser.apk are added),
adding HSDPA and battery % icons (framework-res.apk is replaced),
adding 720p video playback (libOmxVdec.so is replaced), and
other necessary modification to make it working on HD2.
Everything should be working. (No new customized feature, e.g. FM Radio, will be added since this is ported from the official Nexus One ROM.)
CWM (ClockworkMod) Recovery for HD2 is integrated. (The NAND partition layout is ready for CWM when installing this ROM via DAF.exe.)
It's time to learn the native Android update.zip installation and Nandroid backup and restore in order to update your system easily and safely.

a very nice and clean build...many thanks for your hardwork

Nice one, installing right now. I will give feedback later this evening!

I was waiting for this! I've been using your build since 2-3 weeks ago with a few attempts to use other builds and I have constantly come back to this one. I got to say, data drops are very minimal, like 2-3 per day if any at all, GPS works like a charm, Market downloads are blazing fast and no force closes to mention. Will try this build out and definitely donate to you and the DFT development team!
Thanks you your hard work!

[DISCONTINUED][NAND][RAM] darkstone SuperNAND FroYo RC1 [kernel: Hastarin Custom]

Discontinued as of 21/12/2011. Will be working on SD card builds IN MY SPARE TIME from now on instead.
I'm back at university, I don't have free time like a lot of the other chefs here do.
THIS IS A HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL ROM, I CAN'T GUARANTEE THIS WILL BE COMPLETELY STABLE. DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU NEED 100% STABILITY.
THIS IS NOT A SENSE ROM. DO NOT ASK FOR ONE.
Continuation of this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870518
Original credits are in this thread
darkstone's SuperNAND Froyo NAND ROM (RC1) for HTC HD2
===========================
Based on AdamG's Oxygen v1.2 ROM for the HTC Desire.
This is a continuation of the SD Card RAM build that I was making for earlier SuperRam builds.
Information:
This build uses RMNET.
I have implemented my own version of APPS to SD. You can use this if desired.
You must make two folders on the root of your SD Card. One must be named .android_secure and the other should be named app.
Look at post #2 down this thread for more information on how to use this.
Google maps and wifi tether is missing at the moment since this is a beta.
Provided seperately in post #2
Robot voice issue may occur when in a call. If this happens, during the call press the LOUDSPEAKER button then END THE CALL. Do this exactly and every call after will no longer have this issue.
Use Multi Mount SD Card from market to transfer files using USB if using APPS to SD.
To make changes to the build permenantly, you need to push / delete / rename / etc the files that are supposed to go in:
/system/lib or /system/app or /system/framework
to
/ramfiles/lib or /ramfiles/app or /ramfiles/framework
Other folders in /system work as normal and can be modified permenantly.

1. Installation
===============
MAGLDR 1.10 or newer is required on the device.
Before starting the installation process, enter "USB Flasher" mode on the device by using the Volume rocker switch to select items and the green "Call" button as the Enter key.
3. Post installation notes
==============
You can change the kernel to a newer/custom version by doing the following:
Connect via USB to your HD2 while Android is running.
Spawn an ADB shell
Do the following commands as superuser:
mkdir /tmp/boot
mount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 -o rw,noatime,nodiratime /tmp/boot
After that, you can replace the zImage that's located in /tmp/boot
When you're done, you have to unmount the boot partition, like so:
umount /tmp/boot
Restart your device to use the new kernel.
==============
ReadMe originally by Rajko
Kernel is based on hastarin eb with my own customizations. Enabled EXT4/3, btrfs, yaffs support. Enabled framebuffer console. Updated LED driver with one by dan1j3l. Kernel source: http://www.multiupload.com/BBKXXMIO7C

I've made a custom method to store Apps to SD Card without the need for data.img or an EXT partition on your SD card.
Your apps will be moved to /SDCARD/app
Here's how to move your apps:
Download Gscript from market or from HERE and install then open the app.
^Add a new script^ ^Fill the blank spaces with exactly what you see here^ ^Run the script everytime you want to move your apps to the SD Card^
Note: this is not reversable yet.
Note: this is still an experimental feature, however beta tests have indicated that this method is fine!

If you have issues with battery usage being high in standby, then uncheck "Use wireless networks" in the Location and security settings menu:

For Google Maps, install it from market.

Aosp is compiled from w/e source google has made avail.
Cm is compiled from w/e source google has made avail + community modifications/enhancements.
Can I ask you something, not really hating or anything, have you actually just replaced the apks or have you really changed more than that?
Do we have to manually install/flash the latest gApps package or have I skipped a step somewhere?
Anyone got a link to gapps at hand? Thx.
EDIT: Get gApps here: http://android.d3xt3r01.tk/cyanogen/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip
Titanium Backup says the ROM is not Rooted!
EDIT: Manually installed superuser and busybox via the Problems? button and now it works.
what's exatly this RIL issue?
I don't want to sound sarcastic but...
This is a rom that
a) Has all the bugs that CM7 has
b) Does NOT have all the cool custom features that CM7 has
Am I right?

AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for many Android devices. The name is a play on the word “kang” and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns

About battery i don't remember but it is good maybe two days and up and about ram on kernel 2.6.32.x ~100mb on 2.6.35.x ~85 on 3.0.x ~65
Today I flashed the ROM and it's completely unusable
I flashed the ROM normally via Recovery (Flashing .zip & complete wipe)
When It finally booted, I went to enter the PIN but then I got popup window saying that "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped." and phone froze.
I flashed Stable #3
ROM is fluid but has problems with vsync.

Yes. it boots normally. I think there is a problem with supersu. It don't running til u flash it from recovery.
But a question that comes to my mind is what's different between this custom rom and desire 300 stock ROM? I couldn't find any advantage in it or increase system speed.

It's faster, debloated, it has unit.d support, and bunch more tweaks for performance and battery
Internet usage page is not working. I have problems with SuperSU, it's not updating binaries. If I will find more bugs I will post

I'm still testing your old version.
Option: install on phone memory or install on SD Card is not working with a lot of apps. I have error in Google Play: Couldn't install on USB storage or SD card.
I can't install framework in Xposed: app_process is inactive.
GravityBox: GravityBox framework is not responding. Exiting.
Rest looks good. Sorry for my bad English ;p

I didn't get the log, just tried to flash couple times and right at start of it this is the message I get "Error flashing zip" then I tried the 1.1 version and everything was OK
I can't install new version. I unpacked this version and packed one more, because files weren't at main folder in zip, they were in geodev_20150424.zip\geodev_20150424\*.

[ROM][AOSP][BSZAospLP-LMY48M-v1.2.2][5.1.1_r14][SuperSU|BusyBox][22/09/15]

Vanilla-ish AOSP 5.1.1_r14 ROM (LMY48M) for WiFi Nexus 9
This was created by building from LMY48M source and adding SuperSU/BusyBox... Plus customizations (advanced power menu, ART optimizations) borrowed from @GROGG88 on Nexus 5 forum and @craigacgomez. Also bluetooth and WebView commits from @craigacgomez.
Featuring:
Vanilla AOSP 5.1.1_r14 (LMY48M) for WiFi Nexus 9
Updated to this and have been running for a few days. My builds are based on this table - https://source.android.com/source/build-numbers.html#source-code-tags-and-builds - apparently R18 is not > R14???
Odexed with DEXPREOPT for speed
I included RIL this time building LMY48M so LTE (volantisg) should work I NEED A TESTER
arm64 compiled 3.10 kernel
Decrypted device supported!
Can use f2fs for cache now! Thanks @xiaolvmu
Fast charge fix plus Force Fast Charge toggle added (Force Fast Charge off by default). Thanks @USBhost and @Captain_Throwback!
FSYNC toggle @franciscofranco
Use TricksterMod or Kernel Adiutor from Play Store to toggle Force Fast Charge/toggle FSYNC - Fast Charge will disable media sharing with your PC to get a faster charge on low amperage USB ports...
I/O schedulers added - deadline and cfq - deadline to default
OTG native support ( @craigacgomez) - use your favorite file manager
Advanced TCP congestion - cubic still default
File system support added for NTFS, EXFAT and CIFS - thanks @Captain_Throwback - also EXT4 for EXT3 support to optimize size a bit more
SELINUX to permissive
Based on android-tegra-flounder-3.10.40 kernel using LMY48M commit (https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/tegra/+/29ada517ed5fb1355b2523233dd788f3c9525751)
SuperSU 2.46 ( @Chainfire)
AdAway 3.0.2 compiled and packed to signed apk by me
MiXplorer 5.4.6.BETA-B1509012 @HootanParsa (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523691)
Reboot Menu with submenu for Reboot, Recovery and Bootloader respectively (from Nexus 5 forum THANKS @GROGG88)
Setup wizard crash fix (prefer Google WebView over AOSP fix from @craigacgomez)
MUST Flash a GApps (see Downloads) EVEN IF UPDATING from prior version(s)
***NOTE if using minimal GApps download any additional Google apps you might need that are missing from the Play Store!

NOTE takes a WHILE (5-10 minutes) to boot up on first boot! ART is optimizing applications and it is set to EVERYTHING as we have sufficient system partition storage - for SPEED. There is no more dalvik-vm!
If you like it hit thanks! Donations are appreciated but never expected
I do this for a hobby and to keep my tablet running like new
Coming soon:
You tell me?
NOTES:
ALWAYS flash GApps even if updating from a prior AOSP 5.1.x release! ALL ROMs format the /system partition as part of the installation process and this is where the GApps are kept!
BACKUP using TWRP and/or Titanium - save those files off the device to a USB stick external HDD or whatnot! Not responsible for lost data!
WIPE Data in recovery unless coming from another Vanilla AOSP 5.1.x ROM!
Be sure you are at bootloader 3.44.1.0123 and have flashed latest vendor images (link soon)
ONLY TESTED USING TWRP 2.8.7.0
MUST FLASH a GApps zip after the ROM for Play Store, etc.
If you like it consider donating! A nice big solid state hard drive will let me build faster and for more devices! (YAY my build box now has 411GB free even after all this developing - thanks to all who donated)
Thanks:
@Chainfire for SuperSU and keeping it updated!
@Snuzzo for github familiarization and being a great dev and resource!
@GROGG88 - for the power menu and other patches (even though it was from Nexus 5 it worked great)!!!!
@craigacgomez for reboot submenu and OTG commits @Captain_Throwback and @USBhost for fast charge and additional file system commits
@sykopompos for the sepolicy file and kernel instructions to allow root as well as the ART build.prop tweaks.
@scrosler great dev and good resource
Google for Android
AOSP for source!
Goodies:
Google is phasing out the stock AOSP browser (https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/+/4271a9b3ed5ffa40e4ef24801cab5690fe5ca56f) - so I compiled (ARM64) Chromium browser from source! Download it and install as you would any other .apk file:

I have always waited for the stock-ish rom! Thank you for compiling! I will test whether the rom supports LTE variant even if you said it is for volantis ;D
BTW, I am so jealous that there is PopSci magazine in your country's Google Play library, because mine is not.

This tab is wholly designed for Lollipop, so I doubt it would work.. I guess he is trying to build 32 bit version of his rom.

Yeah I think that must have come from something I was messing with - this has the same build tree as the Nexus 7 (2012 WiFi) ROM I am still trying to support http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7/development/rom-t2931064...
I also noticed AOSP Browser setting crash (think I found a fix) and it looks like BusyBox could me missing some symbolic links...
Please upload the lastest vendor image! Waiting for it
Or can i extract it from factory image?

I can confirm 4G/3G data works on your ROM. Good job :good:
Although I had to set the APN manually. Which wasn't a problem, but you might like to warn other users if LTE doesn't connect automatically.
flash in progress ....
20 minutes expected and does not go forward. solution ???
Nb Use last TWRP
