what size should i be looking for??
what class should i be going for??
thanks in advance

order off of newegg if your looking for micro sd cards because they're cheaper for like 16gbs

If you store a ton (and I mean a TON) of music and possibly video on the phone, get 16GB.
If you do not meet that criteria, you are more than fine to grab a 4GB or 8GB and just get something class 6 or higher for speed.
Class 10 is overkill, but it is also a bit more future proof.
I personally have a 4GB class 10 and I haven't even made a dent in it.
Picked it up at Amazon for $14 or $16 shipped a few weeks before xmas.
Just make sure that it is Amazon or an Amazon authorized reseller and you're fine.
If you find a deal on NewEgg that includes free shipping, they also are outstanding to buy tech items from, as stated above.
Good luck.
Oh. One last thing.
Even if you think you take a lot of pictures, keep in mind that 1GB of memory holds approx. 1,000 pics taken at 5MP. Do you really plan on storing 16,000 photos on your phone?

Hi, I can't find it anymore but I've read somewhere that comparatively a class 2 or 4 performed better than a class 6 or 10. On a side note, if like me, you also watch shows or movies on your phone, take a 16 Gabriel Kingston class 4: they're cheap and perform very well! I got 2*8gb SD cards and 1*16gb and I'm very happy with them.

I think what you're referring to is the card-to-phone transfer speed, which I believe is internally capped, so even if you had a futuristic class 50 card, it still would not matter because of the cap, you're going to end up with 2-4MBs max speed. This means that in terms of use in your phone, you're fine with Class 2 and probably maxed with Class 4.
The DIFFERENCE is that if you take the card out of the phone and throw it into a reader, my card is going to transfer the data 5 times faster between the reader and my computer than that class 2.
It also can be used with an adapter and be thrown into a camera that takes advantage of high speed memory. It's the difference between firing off 24 pics per minute vs. 100+ pics per minute.
Here is the wiki link and a quick excerpt, the first number is the read speed, the next number is the write speed and that relates to how the card is numerically rated:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_Class_Rating
Speed Class Rating
The Speed Class Rating is the official unit of speed measurement for SD Cards, defined by the SD Association. It is equal to 8 Mbit/s, and it measures the minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[10]
The following are the ratings of some currently available cards:
* Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MB/s)
* Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MB/s)
* Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MB/s)
* Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MB/s)
Even though the class ratings are defined by a governing body, like × speed ratings, class speed ratings are quoted by the manufacturers but unverified by any independent evaluation process. In applications that require sustained write throughput, such as video recording, the device may not perform satisfactorily if the SD card's class rating falls below a particular speed. For example, a camcorder that is designed to record to class 6 media may suffer dropouts or corrupted video on slower media.
Important differences between the Speed Class and the traditional CD-ROM drive speed measurement ("×" speed ratings) are that speed class:
1. may be queried by the host device
2. defines the minimum transfer speed.

Newegg is selling a Patriot 32gb class 10 microSD for a hundred bucks. I think it's out of stock atm but if you're in the market for speed and size this would be a great one!

Once more, in the interest of information:
- Patriot Current Pricing -
4GB Class 10 = $12
8GB Class 10 = $25
16GB Class 10 = $49
32GB Class 10 = $100

I prefer to get on official Samsung site or physical store. As I know, most memory on ebay are fake and are just updated from some former version. The storage is not true.

1. Who said anything about eBay?
2. Samsung sends a warm and hearty "Thank You". It is customers like you that choose to pay a 400% premium for "name brand" when often times with numerous products, the "name brand" company is buying from an OEM house and relabeling it. (LCD TV's, Power Supplies, and especially various types of memory)
3. Simply put, just buy from any reseller in good standing - online or brick and morter, and test the memory when you receive it if you should have any concerns at all. As long as you're buying from a known entity that gets scrutinized to death on these boards (such as Sandisk, Kingston, and yes....Patriot) you should be perfectly fine and you should receive exactly what you order.

What MicroSD are you using?

Hi, I have been searching on the forum in search of some information on MicroSD cards and came to no avail.
With my HD, it came with a 8GB Class 6 MicroSDHC. I think it needed it to play videos. I can't imagine using it with a slower card.
Now, my TP2 will arrive Monday and I would like to know the following:
1. Brand
2. Size
3. Speed (class)
4. Price
Is it performing well with the video playbacks or have you installed the SD Tuner software available for the HD?
What do you recommend?
Many, many thanks for any replies, comments and help!
Bought a A-Data microSD class 6, 4 GB at a local computer store.
Not the one i was looking for, i wanted the 8GB or 16GB but both where not in stock and the 4GB was less then 10 euros. I will buy a larger one in a few months.
With class 6 my phone isn't slowed down. A few years ago i bought a 2GB mini-SD, but my HTC Vox was slowed down very much. Didn't look to the class/or speed back then.
MicroSD cards based on SLC might be beter them MLC. IMHO i would always take a class 6 or higher card. However class 8 cards are hard to find.
I'm using the 8GB Class 4 card that came with my daughter's Nokia 5800 and it seems fine. Just watched an xdiv episode of Only Fools and Horses on it with no stutter or dropped frames.
I bought a class 6 off Ebay and it should be here on Monday so I can compare then
i'm using sandisk 8g class 2. whatched movies and played music, everything is fine. It only cost me just under tenner.
The performance diference between a class 2 or a class 6 is not that noticeable. However, at the price the cards are, I think it worths always to buy a class 6 card.
I bought a Transcend 8GB class 6 card. It cost me aprox. 20€.
The biggest differences I noticed between a class 2 and 6 card are:
-Taking photos is faster with class 6
-Browsing photos in sdcard is a bit faster also
-Viewing movies sometimes is a bit more smooth.
HastaSSSS
I have a 16GB class 2 Sandisk. I watch movies just fine. I figure with a class 6 i might be able to watch HD videos more smoothly.
Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies. So from what you guys are telling me, it is always better to pay that little extra for the class 6 MicroSDs. But then again, is it worth investing in a 16GB Class 4 (no Class 6 available except the brand A-Data) or an 8GB Class 6.
16GB is nearly 4 times more expensive than the 8GB and yet it is slower. Shall I just get 2 8GB and hot swap the 2 cards as need be?

I have read about this brand, and what others said was that their Class 6 under performs Sandisk's Class 4 Cards. Do yo notice any differences? How is the performance?
Also, I wouldn't recommend buying these cards off eBay. There are so many, fake cards on there. I know so, because I know mates that sell these cards. I would just buy from a genuine local store and pay a little bit more unless you don't care about performance.
Anyway, my last question.
What brand do you think has the best performance. Yeah, we can find out all the data about these cards on the web but it's nothing like the hands on tests from real users. So, will it be Sandisk, Transend, Toshiba, Kingston or the later A-Data?
Found a pretty review on the Sandisk 16GB C4 MicroSDHC cards. They compared it to the Kingston 8GB C4 MicroSDHC card.
Sandisk seems to be the company that is producing the fastest cards. It out performs Kingston.
But $133, is a bit steep. I think if I am correct a Sandisk 8GB C6 MicroSDHC is only $49.
What do you think?
You won't notice much difference between class 2 and class 6 as the device can only read at a certain speed, which is nearer class 4.
There are some cheap class 2 16gb cards out there, I have them and you only really notice if you install something like sdtuneup, but then again, you wouldn't notice much difference between class4 and class6
SanDisk microSDHC 16 GB Mobile Ultra works fine!
With the enclosed reader it is really fast via USB.

Cheers for the heads up about the TP2's read speed.
I was going to go for a 16GB class 2 but now might hold out for a class 4.
Haven't noticed any speed difference between my 8GB class 4 and 6 cards except that it's possibly slower than my Trinity but that may be due to the crummy TP2 stock ROM...

Please don't get two 8GB's, you will ruin the back cover of the device swapping the cards over all the time
My understanding is that the Class affects write speed, not read speed, so you won't see a difference playing movies on one or the other. You will see a difference in the amount of time it takes to get the movie onto the card (providing you aren't using ActiveSync, which will slow things down way beyond Class2 speeds).
I have a SanDisk Class 2 16 GB card on my Vogue and watch movies just fine with CorePlayer. Maybe a brief stutter once every 5 minutes or so, which I attribute to WinMo doing some other task in the background, not the read speed of the card.
In short, if it doesn't matter to you how long it takes to transfer large files onto the card, go with the least expensive.

Really? How much slower?
Yeah, I think I will go for 16GB for sure. The only thing now is what class. I am hearing 2 things here. I am worried about stutters on watching movies.
Some are saying speed only matters to write and not read.
But then I have read that it does matter, that is why there is a SDTuneUp for the HD.
I really don't want to buy a cheaper Class 2 card and only finding it is not working to my standards. I am pretty fussy about these things.
Any of you needed to install the SDTuneUp registry edit for the TP2? Do we need it? Anyone did any tests?

Check this out.
And this.
Class rating only refers to write speed, even though on the official SD association page it says "transfer speed." What they don't say is that it's transfer speed only one direction.

Hello ajbopp,
Thanks for your additional information. I think not a lot of people actually realise this. I always thought the Class Rating was how you determine transfer speed and not just write speed.
But there must be some ratings for Reading. Some cards are faster than others and that will certainly affect the rate of requiring information from the card, right? Because files are written in blocks and are distributed everywhere (fragmentation), so if the card is faster, then finding the blocks will be quicker, hence a better performance for reading movie files.
Just thinking logically how computer hard disk works. Not sure if that applies to SDHC cards. I also think the speed is also determined by the drive (the hardware reading/writing on the card).
There aren't many information on this. I have been searching around and most information I found was given by the companies that made these cards. Real tests are few and far between. Most websites I visited, tells me only of the write speed as I think that is what is most important to people who uses these cards, such as Photo Fanatics who needs speed for taking high end photos very quickly and for taking HD videos at 30fps. There is less need to know about read speed.
It's so confusing...
Got it yesterday. Thanks for all your help guys!
I finally went for the Transcend 8GB Class 6 Micro SDHC. Cost of only $187 HKD, roughly $23 USD. Didn't end up getting the 16GB as they didn't have any in stock and it costs 3 times the amount.
Without any tests, I just loaded my movies and it played very well. No dropped frames. No tweaks whatsoever.
Hello!
I had a TP with a Micro SD 8GB Class 2 card.
I'm considering buying a new one (lack of space available) and I wonder if I should consider a class 4 or 6...
I use the MicroSD to store software, pictures (camera), music (to listen), and some videos (to watch).
I don't intend to remove the microsd from the TP2 slot (have to remove the cover) so what I usually do is to connect via USB cable (data instead of AS).
So, transfering data like this will I notice difference with Class 2, 4 or 6?
I'd get a good price with this:
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-SDC2-16GB-microSDHC/dp/B001RPD06I
is it good enough or should I buy a Sandisk or perhaps a Class 4 or 6?
Thanks
SanDisk and Kingston are both good manufactures.
Class 4 is faster than class 2 and class 6 is faster than class 4.
But on the other hand: class 4 cards need more power consumption than class 2 cards and class 6 cards need power consumption than class 4.
For this reason I bought 1 x 16gb class 4. That is the compromise of speed and power.

Again, this is only for write speed. I think it's an important distinction to make, especially if you are hoping for better video playback because of a faster card. The class of the card is not likely to have any impact on the device's performance, either video or anything else (other than file saving/writing operations).
so... for my kinda use there is no need for a class 6 right?
do you think a class 2 kingston MicroSD 16GB can be used for what I want?
playback music and some video... storage ... navigation?

Is it worth paying extra for a faster micro-SD card?

Have just acquired a Touch Pro 2 on eBay, and am now thinking about getting an SD card for it. I assume the TP2 supports SDHC...?
I can get a 16GB class 2 card for about £30, or a 16GB class 6 card for £50. Am I likely to notice much actual difference in speed between the two when used with a TP2?
Depends.
In day to day usage of the TP2, no I don't really think so. You're not going to be able to take pictures any faster (the camera isn't capable of fast shooting), movies will run fine from a slow card. Maybe searching through your email would be a bit faster, if you have a lot, but I can't imagine it will be significant.
Where you would see a difference is if you take your SDHC card out of the TP2 and put it into a PC for dumping lots of data on it at once - for example, copying over lots of MP3s or movies. If you're transferring multiple GBs at a time direct from a PC, you will notice a worthwile % increase with the faster cards.
So if you do that regularly it might be worth it. If you tend to change the data on the card only infrequently, then I doubt it is.
Personally I will be getting a slow card. I only have a fast card SD card for my Digital SLR camera, where the faster card enables more shots to be taken per second.
whatever you do do not get a Transcend class6 16Gb card. They are not compatible. I know there's a thread listing card compatibility in the rhodium forum, but I couldn't find it now.

Wow, thanks for the warning, that was exactly what I was thinking of getting.
firstly i beleive the class relates to write and not read speed.
second do not buy a card off ebay whatever you do.
i have come accross an a-data 16gb class 6 in my searches. in the end i got 8gb class 4 from play for a tenner delivered. may get a 16gb if i ever hit the limit. by then the price will have dropped to reasonable level.
i had a 2gb in my xperia and never filled it. i have a ipod touch for music and a netbook.

all the cards i have ever bought off ebay have been fakes.
some have worked but been slow. others have corrupt sectors. some have failed all together. thankfully last time pay pal refunded me.
look at www.sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/
buy the card if you want. that site has programs you can test it with to determine if its legit. i will never buy a memory card from ebay again.
Class only deals with write speeds, not read speeds BUT if the card has a higher write speed, it will normally have a higher read speed as well. (Though it's not a set rule).
Thx for the heads up. I think i'm going to risk it anyways. This seller has been on there since 2000 and has sold a ridiculous amount of flash memory ~20,000. I would hope the system would show some signs of fakery over that span of time.
I will try the tool you linked once it arrives tho.
Thx again

I decided I didn't really need 16GB of storage anyway, and ordered an 8GB class 6 card - a SanDisk Ultra. Got it from these guys on Amazon UK Marketplace.
They have a pretty high turn-over - nearly 30,000 ratings in the past year. I also used this tool to check whether the card was genuine or counterfeit. It passed with flying colours (no errors at all) so I think it's probably the real deal.
A quick, informal test (copying a 700MB file onto the card) suggested it was writing at about 12.5MB/s when the card was connected directly to the PC's USB port, and about 5.5 MB/s when accessed via the phone (in disk-drive mode). That suggests that the phone might get some benefit from a class 6 card, although it's hard to be sure. Certainly this a is a VERY fast card when removed from the phone and connected straight to the PC. (In fact the testing software rated it even higher - 14.9MB/s write, and 17.5MB/s read).
No reliability problems of the sort associated with the Trascend cards (although I'm not sure that affects 8GB cards anyway).
Trancend 16GB Class 6
I currently have a Trancend 16GB Class 6 and it works just fine.
I only buy cards from Sandisk and usually from amazon. EBay has a lot of fakes on it! I have a 16GB Class 2 from amazon that I picked up for $40. Speed test while in Disk Drive mode through the phone show a Write speed of 3.8MB/s and 6.4MB/s read speed. I have 10GB filled so far and It didn't really take that long to do. I'd say if you were filling the card up with 10GB of new music a day then yeah those speed suck but for a few big loads just to get it started no big deal to me.
I can stream a 800x480 AVC ~1.2Mbit off the card with no hiccups. So I'm not worrie about the speed considering anything more then that the processor becomes the bottleneck not the card.

I just recieved an A-Data 16GB Class 6 from ebay. Seems to be fine, passed memory test with no errors @ 8.9MB/S write and 15.1MB/sec read.
Worth the money just copying video and music files to the drive via pc. Way faster than my previous 8GB Class 2. Don't notice any real difference in the phone tho.

Been out on the road for work all week using music over bluetooth and co-pilot 8 heavily. Working like a charm.....maybe i just got lucky.
I'm putting my $0.02 on the table on MicroSDHC cards. Basically for those of you that want faster data transfer on a larger card like an 8GB or 16GB MicroSDHC, it can make a difference but beware of brands that are not well known and their transfer speeds. The Class ratings on the MicroSDHC cards only apply to their guaranteed throughput rates and are NOT indicative of the actual speed experienced on the cards. I've seen some Class 2 Sandisk cards outperform Class 6 A-Data cards before which is a little scary.

[Q] Class 2? Class 10?

So I'm looking for SD cards for my vibrant. I'm wondering if I should be shelling out 100$ for a 16 GB Class 10 card or get the class 2 32 GB for the same price. Does anyone know if the phone might somehow be limited to certain file transfer speeds when connected via USB? I do intend to use the card for video and have all my apps on it. Thoughts?
From wikipedia:
The following are the ratings of some currently available cards:
Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MB/s)
Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MB/s)
Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MB/s)
Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MB/s)

You might compromise and look for a class 6 -- i've seen a lot more class 6's than 10's so you might get a much better value from a class 6 purchase -- unless you need/want the fastest possible.
Lets just say I survived for a couple of years or whatever the time frame was running my apps off my G1 on a Class 6 card just fine.
Avatar runs fine on my SD card so I'd guess at least whatever that is if you are running video.
Thanks for the input, anyone actually have a 10 that they are using? A 6 is a viable option...

Class 4 is plenty fast. Class 10 imo for this phone is a waste of money. I got a class 4 16GB for $32.99 last weekend.
Go for a class 6, 10 is overkill and really intended for mass writes in the form of very high quality video or photos in quick succession.

i have a 32 gb class2 and it plays my 720p .mkv videos just fine
Not all micro SD cards are made the same even if they say they are a given class. Stay away from eBay there are cases where people modify the firmware of the card and you get a card that is actually smaller or slower.
The best cards are name brands like Sandisk or Lexar. Transcend is also a very good brand and the tend to mark their card such that they always meet the spec but often read at higher speeds. Kingston is the name brand card that I have seen so far, but reviews on Newegg indicate that it's R/W performance isn't class 10 (<10MB/s). Some vendors interpret the class spec such that they say cards are class X if their peak read speed is X instead of their lowest R/W speed should not go below X.
I'd recommend getting a class 6 Transcend card (lifetime warranty). The sweet spot right now is 8GB class 6 for ~$20. Their 16GB is like ~$75 on Amazon.
Class 6 is good if you plan to run apps or put extended partitions / swap on it. That is what I did with my old G1. It is also a safe bet if your planning to record at 720p.
If you just need space for playing movies and music you can go for the cheaper 32GB cards. I'd pick a class 4 to be safe if your doing HD movies.

When buying microsd does class matter much?

I know speeds are:
Class 4 - Minimum of 4 MB/s performance.
Class 6 - Minimum of 6 MB/s performance.
Class 10 - Minimum of 10 MB/s performance.
Can the Galaxy S even get up to class 10 if I go that route?
Yes, it matters a buttload.
Yes the Vibrant can make full use of the fastest chips out there.
Spend a few dollars more at Newegg and get a good chip from a known maker (Crucial, PNY, Micron, etc). The stuff is pretty cheap anyways....worth a few bucks just for piece of mind.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...00007962 600006209&IsNodeId=1&name=Micro SDHC
I'd suggest staying clear of Kingston and *possibly* Patriot.
I've nver seen Kingston stuff work as advertised and Patriot is a hit or miss at best.

Spend a few dollars more at Newegg and get a good chip from a known maker (Crucial, PNY, Micron, etc). The stuff is pretty cheap anyways....worth a few bucks just for piece of mind.
I'd suggest staying clear of Kingston and *possibly* Patriot.
I've nver seen Kingston stuff work as advertised and Patriot is a hit or miss at best.

I dont know much about phone memory. i'll be getting my first smart phone this week (vibrant). I followed the link and the only company you had listed that i saw was PNY and they only sold cards at class 4 speeds. So besides kingston and patriot are the other's ok? Centon had a few class 6 cards that i was looking at. Or perhaps i should be asking are there any other companies i should stay away from?
thanks in advance
A lot of brands are okay. Well, that is if you buy it from a legit retailer and not from ebay where there is a chance for you to get a fake one.
Sandisk, PNY, Kingston, Adata, Transcend (I have a class 6 one), Crucial, and etc. They are all about the same. Go to Newegg for reviews.
Ah ok.
thanks alot.
Rodrigo
dont forget about meritline.com.
i get all my sd cards from there.
It only matters if you're impatient.

I wouldn't say "impatient" but sometimes we have better things to do than sit there and wait for a file to finish transferring. Especially big files.
Usually files don't really get big enough on phones for 4mbs to be a huge problem.
But I'm not going to argue with you, the faster the better definitely. The good thing is there usually isn't a big difference in price between the different classes if you're shopping in the right places either.
the stock card is a class 4. I have an 8GB class 6 from my G1 days when we were doing 3 partitions on one card (crazy to me now). Does it matter? Yeah... Is it worth spending a lot of money on? Matter of opinion... how much are you using the sd card for read/write? I use the internal memory most.
I can see speed being an issue if you're taking a lot of pictures and video and saving to SD card. I usually use my external just for music, so Class 2 is fine for that (still, wouldn't turn down a Class 6 card if the cost differential were slight).

32 GB Class 4 $55.00 from Amazon itself

If you're looking for a decently priced 32GB class 4 Microsd card backed by one of the biggest and most respected retailers in the world, you can do much worse than this:
http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-Class-microSDHC-Memory-TS32GUSDHC4/dp/B004R7P28W/ref=pd_cp_e_1
This is sold by Amazon... not "fulfilled by Amazon" but actually sold by them. So $55.00 buys you the peace of mind of knowing that if there's anything wrong with the card, you can always get your money back. Plus, this is about as cheap as I, personally, have seen legitimate 32GB cards sold for.
Also, buy with Amazon's Super Saver shipping and shipping is free (does take a bit longer, though.)
In any case, this is probably what I'll do when I get around to upgrading my 16GB card for a 32.

Oh, that's pretty tempting, too. I'd love to see a sde-by-side of their actual write speeds.
(Edit: Wow, one reviewer is seeing 16 mb/sec write speeds after formatting it on his Nook Color. So this Class 10 seems to be the real deal.)
Whats the class system? The higher the better? What would be the best class to get?

The higher the number, the faster the write speed. Class 10 is the fastest I have seen in a 32GB MicroSD card. Here is a link on the class differences:

This is the card that I have. It works great. No problems at all. And speed is highly noticeable especially in regards to the large capacity.

I ordered mine last night and can't wait for it to get here!
I bought a Patriot 32gb Class 4 for $39 + 1.99 shipping from Frys.com. It was a weekend only sale and I ordered mine like 30 minutes prior to the sale ending that Sunday night (so I didn't have time to mass post the deal here). I've since received it and it works great. I'm using it in my Acer Iconia A500 tablet instead of my Evo though. You'd think that watching hi-res movies on the larger screen of the A500 would put the read speed of this Class 4 card to the test, but the whole experience has been flawless.
If you're in the market for a 32gb card, I'd keep an eye on the usual websites (Amazon, Buy.com, Newegg, Frys, etc.) because they Class 4 cards are starting to get rather affordable. The Class 10 cards are still a bit too pricey for my wallet.

My understanding is that the read speed on most of these cards is going to be fine. It's the write speed that varies most and which is dependent on the Class rating of the card. I've got a 16GB class 2 card in my Nook Color and there's no lag watching movies.

The read speed varies significantly between the card classes as well. The big question is whether or not the hardware (which typically trails behind the media) can take advantage of a card with faster access/read times. I haven't found a utility that can speed test the external SD card in my Tegra2 based Acer A500 tablet, but in a thread on another Android forum, the Evo hardware was shown to take advantage of the significantly faster read times in Class 6 & 10 cards.
All that being said, how fast a read time does anyone really need? I've never felt the need to date to go faster than Class 4 card in any of my devices, for both read and even write times.

I wouldn't mind faster write times on my Nook Color if only to be able to copy movies on and off faster (on my current card it takes between 3 and 5 minutes per 1.5 GB title.) Other than that, yeah... not much reason. I've made lots of videos on my Evo and never noiticed any issues with write speed on my Class 4 card.
There is a 32GB class 10 sold by Amazon for $42.31 ($52.31 - $10 MIR with free shipping) right now.
I can't post links yet, but the full name is "Patriot LX Series 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card PSF32GSDHC10 (Black)"
Just make sure the merchant is set to Amazon.

Thats not a micro SD
I've got a class 10 16GB card in my evo. AND I CORRECTLY did speed tests through my computer and through the phone. and with the class then, there was a huge improvement on speeds even while it was installed in the evo. Professionally speaking.. I think they should install class 10 in all mobile phones. :-D it will only go as fast as its slowest connection.
There's a Lexar 32g class 10 micro for 55$ on the tiger direct website... Don't know if its a trust worthy site. I have not bought from them.

TigerDirect is a direct competitor or NewEgg and is 100% legit but I cannot find the card you are refering too. Can you PM me the link and I can post it up for everybody?
Edit:
Found it:

The estimated delivery date for the SD on tiger Direct is late Aug. Hopefully that's just a worst case scenario.

I buy from Tiger all the time, personally and for my last place of work. 100% trustworthy company. Been around forever (in computer time).
