Thanks to javistanford, there's now a port for JVR roms. Go here for the details and download. Note, I haven't tested this myself so I welcome any feedback from other users. Enjoy! And thanks again to javistanford for porting it across.
Now confirmed working with new JS3 roms, like Doc's 9.1/Darky's 9.2 as well as other custom JPX/U/Y and JS3 roms.
WARNING: BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS IF YOU'RE USING TEGRAK'S KERNEL. MAKE A BACKUP! THE APPS THAT ARE PRESUMED TO CAUSE PROBLEMS ARE DIALERTABACTIVITY.APK AND PHONE.APK, SO IF YOU'RE USING THAT KERNEL, DELETE THESE TWO APPS FROM THE ZIP BEFORE INSTALLING. THIS ISSUE IS BEING INVESTIGATED.
Introducing NeonGT (NeonGreenTheme):
Hi folks, NeonGreenTheme is my first theme for Android, having done some themes for WinMo back in the day. Greets to all fellow ex-winmo skinners. Because it is my first foray into the world of Android I'm sure some things may not work 100% perfectly, but I have tried to make sure that everything works well on my device (using Spike's JPY 5.1 rom) so it should be okay on other custom JPY roms, and possibly also JPU/X roms (please test if you're feeling brave, but make a backup first).
Confirmed working with Spike's 5.1 JPY, Darky's V7.7/8.0 JPY, Insanity 0.3.1 JPY and Doc's V8.0/1 JPY.
Some information on the theme:
The aim of NeonGT is to completely theme the core interface green on black. Green because the pixels are twice as sharp as red and blue. And black because it offers the best power savings.
The big notification icons are from the WDD Reflection Icons set.
Most of the gfx have been re-worked/replaced by myself, but I still have a few to do.
4 lockscreens.
Extended power menu.
Phone with recording function.
Multi-dpi Dialer and Calculator.
Skinned Power Control Widget.
etc.
Credits:
R64 for the framework base and some great advice
Poppuri & loza100 (and Atom960i) for the phone/dialer base and for finally figuring out how to change the clock to green.
Vukandric for the generous help
dena994 for donating the second post for the theming guide.
And everyone else I'm forgetting.
To do:
Skin mms, email, twlauncher and google search.
Remove clock from Epic lockscreen, maybe.

UPDATE: 10.02.2011 - RE-RELEASED VERSION 2.5
I am hoping this will have fixed the problems with the dialer. If any app icons go missing I suspect low system space/your rom/system corruption is the culprit. Make a backup just in case! A tip: flashing Darky's Resurrection rom with repartitioning seems to work in 100% of cases with the theme.
UPDATE: 09.02.2011 - VERSION 2.5
Green clock in status bar.
Themed phone.apk - including built-in call recording.
Updated dialer.
Etc.
This is a full release, meaning all the files are in one zip. You don't need to have any previous versions installed.
Here's the disclaimer: THERE HAVE BEEN SOME RARE ISSUES WITH THE PHONE AND DIALER DISAPPEARING. I AM STILL TRYING TO TRACK THE ISSUE DOWN BUT POSSIBLE CULPRITS COULD BE a) TEGRAK'S KERNEL b) LOW SPACE LEFT ON YOUR SYSTEM PARTITION c) AN ISSUE WITH EMAIL.APK, AS HAS BEEN REPORTED BY OTHER USERS, OR d) SOME CORRUPTION ON YOUR SYSTEM. A FRESH INSTALL OF DARKY'S RESURRECTION ROM WILL FIX ANY ERRORS AND PROVIDE A CLEAN PLATFORM FOR FLASHING. I HAVE TESTED THIS PERSONALLY.
That said, please make a backup of your system before flashing!!! If you don't want to risk it then delete DialerTabActivity.apk, Phone.apk and Phone_Util.apk from the theme zip, as well as the whole /system/lib folder. Then install as usual. Or install the two files separately. Links at the bottom of this post.
Enjoy!
UPDATE: 07.02.2011 - VERSION 2.4
Buttons now have borders.
Updated statusbar icons: tethering, headset, roaming, lock, bluetooth, silent
Updated pattern, puzzle & epic lockscreens.
Changed lockscreen clock font.
Modified progress bars.
Plus a few other small gfx tweaks.
Only apply this patch if you already have 2.x installed. Enjoy!
UPDATE: 06.02.2011 - VERSION 2.3
This fixes the wifi icon error and has a few more tweaks to the lockscreens.
Only apply if you already have version 2.0/2.1/2.2 installed.
Sorry for the hassles, this should be working fine now.
UPDATE: 05.02.2011 - VERSION 2.2
Changed the wifi icon again. It's now more like the old one except sharper.
Restored clocks back to the lockscreens. Will remove just the epic one later.
Plus a few more changes to the lockscreen graphics.
Only apply this patch if you have Version 2.0/2.1 already installed.
UPDATE: 05.02.2011 - VERSION 2.1
Skinned the Power Control Widget
Removed clock from epic, glass and puzzle lockscreens
Tweaked/replaced statusbar icons: wifi, chat, sync, sdcard, sim card, error, etc.
Revised the text edit box backgrounds
Changed the notification item highlight colour
Changed chat status icons back to red + green
Tweaked menu popup graphics
Optimized the pngs some more
Enjoy. Make sure you have version 2.0 installed before flashing this update!
UPDATE: 04.02.2011 - VERSION 2.0
Black Buttons only.
Lots more changes to the core apps.
Contacts and Alarm Clock are now fully skinned.
DialerTab tweaked.
Notification bar graphics updated (the tabs are a bit lighter than I'd like, but it makes reading black notification text easier).
etc.
In the interests of time and quality, from now on I will only be updating the black button version.

But enough chit-chat. Screenshots speak louder than words:

Wallpaper Pack: - DOWNLOAD
Neonchick Wallpapers (6 versions): - download attached to this post

LauncherPro Docks:
New: NeonGT WDD Reflection LauncherPro Icon Pack added! Over 200 icons to match this theme. All credit to the original creator. I just greened them. (60x60 icons attached to this post, 128x128 version available here)
DON'T try to flash this file - it just contains png icons. Extract to your memory card then select the icons using LauncherPro.
Boot Animations:
Here's a couple of green Nexus S Boot Animations I made:
(Download links at the bottom of this post)
Also, here are a couple more animations that work well with the theme. There's this one, and this one here:
They work great, but I'm not going to package them with the theme because not all kernels support custom boot animations. Please make sure yours does before copying them over. All credits to the original creators and thanks for the tips, y0.o! and reflex9000
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ONLY INSTALL THIS THEME ON CUSTOM ROMS. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH STOCK ROMS.
The apps include:
ClockPackage.apk
Contacts.apk
Phone.apk
DialerTabActivity.apk
JobManager.apk
MediaProvider.apk
Settings.apk
TouchWizCalculator.apk
If you don't want a certain app installed (e.g. the dialer) then simply delete it from the zip before installing.
Flash the zip using ClockWorkMod Recovery (reboot holding volume up + home key + power button). Select "Install zip from sdcard", then "Choose zip from sdcard". First boot will take some time, so be patient.
I would advise clearing cache and dalvik cache from ClockworkMod recovery first. The "clear cache partition" option is on the main menu and "clear dalvik cache" is in the "Advanced CWM features" submenu. Also, please do a backup using nandroid (this is also accessible in the ClockworkMod menu) just in case something goes wrong.
If your rom doesn't have the stock Samsung music player you can download it from here.
Don't flash the icons pack or the wallpapers, they are regular zips.
Please report any bugs and I'll try my best to fix them. Still figuring some of this stuff out so be patient and make a backup. Enjoy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOW TO MAKE A BACKUP FLASHABLE ZIP OF YOUR CURRENT THEME:
Using 7-zip or WinRAR, take a look inside the downloaded theme zip file. In there browse to the /system/framework and /system/app folders - these are the files that get installed.
What you need to do is make a note of the file names, then go to your phone and make a copy of the same files from /system/framework and /system/app to a folder on your sdcard.
Then copy this folder over to your pc.
Make a copy of the theme zip and call it e.g. mybackup.zip. Open mybackup.zip and copy the files you've backed up into their respective folders, overwriting the ones that are already there.
Close 7-zip/WinRAR and you're done.
Backup created. You can flash it using ClockworkMod recovery.

HOW TO MAKE A THEME by JuMbA
Hi all, I've had a lot of requests for different colours. Let me briefly explain the process so you can understand the complexities involved. It may also inspire you to try it out yourself.
-------------------
Tools Needed:
Android SDK package - add the (sdkpath)/tools folder to your windows environment variable.
Version 1.3.1 (not 1.3.2) of APKTool.
Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks (or other advanced image editing software).
PSPad Editor (or other valid xml editor).
Latest version of the NeonGT theme.
PNGOptimizer.
7-zip.
Extract framework-res.apk from the theme zip file. Decompile this file using APKTool into a folder on your hard drive.
In this folder, edit the xmls in the /res/drawable-hdpi-v4/color , layout , values and drawable folders to change the theme colours to what you like. Note that if you want to recolour the other aspects of the UI such as Task Manager, Contacts, Dialer, Settings, DownloadsProvider, etc. then you will need to repeat this process with all the other .apks in the /system/app folder of the theme zip file. I cannot give detailed xml editing instructions here, but there are a lot of guides available via google.
Now onto the graphics. Take a look inside the /res/drawable-(x)/ folders. Leave all the files that end in .9.png for now, we will get to those in a bit.
You will need to recolour all the .png files, either by using automations in photoshop or batch commands in Gimp etc. so you can recolour a bunch of images at a time. However, mass recolouring is NOT advised due to subtle variations in the original icons that sometimes come out looking horrible if you do a Hue adjustment to all the files at once.
Beware though, because earlier versions of Photoshop (at least CS3) don't handle transparency in 8-bit .pngs, so you'll need to open these in Fireworks instead, or use a 3rd-party plugin like PNGOut for photoshop.
So let's say you've made it this far and have hand/batch-edited a couple of thousand images and successfully edited the colours in all the relevant .xml files. Next is to tackle the .9.png images.
These are different in that they are encoded with stretchable area information so they are able to be scaled in size without distorting the edges or gradients. I kinda like them. :O
If you open any of the decompiled .9.png images in your image editor you will notice they have a transparent 1px block around the image with some black lines. The top and left lines mark the area of the image that can be stretched and the right and bottom lines mark the space that can be occupied by the content of the image before any stretching takes place. I hope this makes sense - it will in time.
You can edit these images using the Fireworks/Photoshop method you used earlier with the regular pngs, but be 100% sure not to change the colour/transparency/lightness/brightness/etc. of the outer 1px border. This is essential or the .9.pngs will not compile. So if all you want to do is recolour the images you'll need to edit them one by one (or be handy with photoshop automations) to make sure the border remains unchanged.
At this point you may also want to run the images through PNGOptimizer to make sure they aren't too big.
Compile using APKTool. Rename the resulting framework-res.apk to .apk.zip and open with 7-zip. Delete the assets folder in the 7-zip window. Open the original theme framework-res.apk file in 7-zip and drag the META-INF and assets folders over to the other 7-zip window, adding them to the new framework-res.apk.zip. Close and rename the new file back to .apk
Oh, I almost forgot, you'll need to repeat this process with Settings.apk and twframework-res.apk.
Almost done. Make a copy of the theme zip file and rename it to (mygroovynwethemeorwhatever).zip - then open it and navigate to the /system/framework folder - drag your new framework-res.apk and twframework-res.apk into this window, click OK - navigate to /system/app and drag over all your other new .apks, click OK and close 7-zip.
Pray. Flash using ClockworkMod.

looks interesting. I will give it a try on Darkys 8.0 and report back

Nice work mate. Green is my favorite colour. Will report back

wow,
I love how you themed all the images to match the idea and the image quality looks good too.
Nice work

I must say "WELL DONE"
It looks really cool, let's say "Borg - like"
And I do not like Borgs :-D
I mean the green color. But theme itself is really good. Can you make it in blue?
Will you allow me to take some parts from it, and include it (with credits) in my own theme?
I am still playing with themes, I have made few myself, few was re-constructed from other themes. Especially I like icons you have made. They are cute.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. I'll possibly look at other colours in future but, as I'm sure the other themers know, editing thousands of pngs takes ages. Gonna take a break once I've skinned more system apps then see what's next. fyi, the font is Calibri.
Will you allow me to take some parts from it, and include it (with credits) in my own theme?

He would have to change every single png file to make it blue, it is really hard work, especially changing. 9 pngs. So don’t expect it soon. Give the man the credit for this awesome theme first!

Thank you-GREAT theme

Tnx for the feedback. Please let me know if it's tested successfully on your rom (I'm mainly interested in JPU/X results).

Just installed the theme over darky v.8 and i love it.

Here is my new theme- I have been using it myself on my Nexus One for a month or so now. I grabbed some images from a theme by JaiThemes (if you appreciate my work please buy one of his cheap themes on the market) and edited them to how I liked them. Then I combined in some of my own images plus some xml edits.
It is CMMOD flavour. It is still WIP and isn't a complete theme yet- only the main
So here it is- a metamorph- please use metamorph by Stericson from the market- makes theming so much easier. I have found that applying each apk one at a time is more reliable, and increasing metamorph delay in settings makes the whole morphing process a hell of a lot easier. To get the clock, notification text etc the correct colour, after applying all parts of the metamorph you need to go into CM Settings, then User interface, then tweaks extras and select this theme form the dropdown menu
MEDIAFIRE LINK:
CMMOD_HD2_Theme
Experimental v2.0
CMMOD_HD2_v2.0.zip
I have also done a CMMOD ADW theme- works well on ADW EX as well of course- although I think Anderwebs has changed the name of the folders so adding folders on EX will give a stock folder at this stage. The thing is I hate using my home screen landscape so haven't done any landscape images properly- that is planned
CMMOD_ADW
If you prefer a clear GenieWidget then here it is- still CMMOD flavoured.
CMMOD_HD2_ClearGenie
If you use Better Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Pro I also have a theme on the market for that:
CMMOD_SmartKeyboardPro_Theme

Retransfer rom to phone.
If in clockwork it says copying System and this completes in around 3 seconds you have done something wrong or the zip has not transfered to sdcard correctly.
If that does not help

Install Guide:
Boot into ClockWorkMod recovery by powering on with volume UP, home and power held.
Go to BACKUP and run a backup
Once this is done go to "advanced" then do "wipe dalvik's cache".
Now you need to go "Install Zip from SD" find "Docs_v1.0-hypertheme_Villain 1.4.zip"
Once complete you can reboot the phone, you will be on VillainRom with docs theme..
even if you dont like it, it would hurt my thanks to rise!....xD
Warning: Some mods for VRom arent compatible....that means, if you flash another circle battery mod on top of my theme, my theme will dissappear...why?, cause you are flashing a new themed framework-res.apk.....same goes to other tweaks as prevent full charge notification or any other tweaks that overwrites one of the .apks provided here.....
its only logical that was happening, just wanted to let you guys be aware...
if enough of you guys want me to include mods (like the ones mentioned above), ask nicely, and I surely will, as it involves much of my free time to do it on my very old pc....
Here is a little dirty guide if you want to port the theme to an unsupported build
Just make sure build is using same release as the ones supported (KG2, KG3, etc)
and that it is deodexed..... at least the apks your want to port (framework-res.apk and systemui.apk)
the build must not be heavily hacked (like Cognition) who adds another option to quicksettings for example.
Since Villain is as close to stock as it can get, we could use it as a base. All is different on Villain ROM from stock is its signature (META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml)
Main theme is based on two apks:
framework-res.apk (located on /system/framework)
SystemUI.apk (located on /system/app)
the rest of the files included on my theme are for adblocking, bootanimation, theming of widgets, etc....
so lets start with these ones shall we.....
straight to the point
Open up both apks using 7zip (mine and the one you want to be themed)......(dont extract just open them up side by side)
and copy from the original apk from the build you are on the following files into the already themed apk (villain´s from my theme), just drag and drop.....
META-INF folder
AndroidManifest.xml
then zipalign using this the zipopt_all attachment below......
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5235458&postcount=46
then use this flashable zip file as a template (doc´s test).....drop SystemUI.apk into /system/app and framework-res.apk into /system/framework...find it on the attachment below.
then nandroid backup
then flash it.......good luck!
if it works.....then please....SHARE!!
THANKS.
Any themes for Lite'ning rom?
I guess i'll have to switch to VillainROM 1.4 for themes..
VillainROM is great only thing missing is Screen Off animation and over scroll and call record function if i get those in VillainROM i'd happily shift to VillainROM.
Hold on..ill get back to you......Litening is already themed....anyhow...this theme adds CRT....call recording function you flash on VRtweaks......uploading and taking screenshots...hold on.
Cognition ROM support, please?
I loce this kind of theme.
I'll wait for overscroll to flash.
Keep on the good work...
I will add support to other roms....but.....since Villain uses stock I thought I will start there first.....Cognition is very appealing and I really like the OP...lol..
I will, with help of a tester.....port it to cognition......remember im not a themer...if anyone wants to take over the theme, I will give him sources as long as theme stays loyal to original....

Most of that is already in VRTweaks.
And the other features are part of the themed files anyway, so the theme would bring them.
Nice to see another theme

I did not try VRTweaks.
flashing VillainROM 1.4 ASAP then will try VRTweaks.
Currently using MIUI rom
thanks for letting me use your work for overscroll glow, downloading now
Sure mate.....whatever u need given proper credits....
I think you have to remove the V1.1 because the overscroll make some apps FC's, I will download V1.0 if the only difference is overscroll, but I love the notification toggle buttons, no more text only buttons, that is how it should be!
pls tell me which apps FC so I can test....I made the hack from source and havent run into any FC....
and yes, only diff is overscroll.......anyhow....am fully testing it, no FC so far....believe, first FC I will be the one taking it down...lol

Dialer One for example, it works without the overscroll
here you have explanation:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14872550&postcount=42
will try now...although i dont use it....will report....hold on a min, let me install it
edit: Correct, Dialer One crashes, and logcat points to file I modded, although, I dont think this error is exclusive to the devices, users on SGS must be getting that crash too. its not a FC as android doesnt kill the app, its Dialer one crashing itself for not finding correct sources.....is there any other app that FC's?, is this crash happening too on builds <KF2?
Excellent work doctorcete!
Going to download and test now ill let you know how it goes. Loved your work on the fading menus on the HD2 cant believe there on my SGS2 now
All we need now is a hyperdroid rom on the SGS2 and we'll be complete
yeah.....consider the theme as the hyperdroid begginings for the s2....although you should know that hyperdroid is all about aosp and cm7.......fading animations and keyboard ported from the hd2 looks really nice on s2...
Jep....whatsapp crashes too...but logcat now its pointing to the exact file and line that gives the error..........switching to linux and taking a look at that damn file...lets see what it can be done
jep I can see the error on the smali file....
problem is, comparing both archives (bouncing and overscrolling sources) they are totally different, in fact, on our version adds a couple of more smali files and beisdes that, those lines that point to rashes are because those files that are pointing are totally inexistent on our jar file, our jar file has more lines, therefore they are numbered different.........basically code is diff, and, unless someone know a way to automate the process....its very difficult to port.....
Sadly im removing overscroll too....sorry

[Theme] GingerWay_BlueOcean SGS2 Port KI8/KI3/KI4 10/21

first i want to say thanks to Dr_Sam for bringing this particular theme to my attention. had he not, this probably wouldn't exist
also need to say huge thanks to Antonda who is the original creator of this theme. original thread can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152448
alright, down to business. porting has gone extremely smoothly thus far. i've kept almost everything (i know, some probably just sighed a little here) but i have only changed very very few things. example... the message slider tab is currently green. i will be changing this to blue to better suit the theme. *please note, this is not an "all blue" theme. there are some hints of green, as well as other colors, here and there.
currently Antonda has 3 releases. at this point, i'm only concentrating on one at a time. i may only do one, we'll see. i've started with the JVP new release, but i'm going to go back to just JVP because i like the status bar a little better.
Universal theme *should* work with ALL deodexed TW ROMs, no matter what release version KI4 (and all 2.3.4)
i'm no longer supporting the Universal theme. there are just too many issues with it. it doesn't work for everything like it should. i'm leaving the link up but flash at your own risk

NOTES
all feedback is welcome. please keep in mind that i've never ran this theme on any device previously than the SGSII. there are probably some things still wrong.
Mms.apk was released pretty much how i had it. if anyone would like to lend a hand there regarding the background being changed to black, please feel free to.
oh, and the ClockPackage.apk changes were just for the tabs. i'm also aware that the other colors within the clock aren't blue... that's because the stock ROM of the SGS1 had blue. may theme this later anyway...
***blue toggles zip
i have added blue toggles as a zip file (do not flash!) for anyone that wants them. to apply, simply copy the included png image files over to your SystemUI.apk in res\drawable-hdpi using 7zip or something similar. then copy SystemUI.apk back to your system/apps folder with root explorer or something similar. change permissions to rw-r-r and reboot.

what 's the letter type used in this theme?

my system font being used is the Sony Sketch font. but 3G icon font face, and others, is a font called Bauhaus. it will be included and installed when you flash. will overwrite your Clockopia, DroidSans, and DroidSans-Bold fonts to make them all Bauhaus.

nice. looks great. btw about EDT, do i install EDT first then this theme?

it really doesn't matter which you install first. i'm not including the EDT app. i'm just making sure my SystemUI.apk is compatible with it so if a user wants to use it, they have that option.

nice. thread is going fast after released.
btw does the battery extras need to be redownloaded too for every release? cuz i got the habit to download all stuff in one update and would like to know if i only need to download the new bate2 only or includes the 3 extra battery just incase i want to change them.

good question.
edit: this has changed a bit. battery variation release numbers should almost always match theme release number, ie 1.3.1 to 1.3.1. there are certain instances where you'll see the theme bumped up one but the battery variation release staying the same. this is because something changed within the main theme that had nothing to do with SystemUI.apk or framework-res.apk which is re-flashed when you flash one of the battery themed mods.
and just because i'm pretty excited, aren't you? heh
Is this the one you've posted on the VR thread? If it is, then I'm looking forward to it

i would seriously need your help with the lockscreens. i've never messed with anything quite like that before. looks like there were lots of .jar file edits and the addition of xml/png files all over the place.

i was modeling it after the Android here.
as you can see, that dark blue isn't the only blue within the theme. i thought a darker blue for a tab would look tacky. guess i could do it just to show you...
also please keep in mind that the blue tab was green in the original theme

[SOFTKEYS] Softkey Collection [05-04 Facebook Home]

I am proud to present you my collection of Softkeys for the Google Samsung Galaxy Nexus
I'd be grateful if you want to press the Thanks button if you're going to use these Softkeys!

Read this before you apply these buttons!
- If your ROM doesn't have a built-in Search or Big Menu softkey, then these images won't be used on your phone, it will only show Back, Home & Recent
- You need a rooted phone otherwise none of these methods will work! Stock rooted combined with ZipThemer works for most people, MetaMorph not always so preferably use ZipThemer
- The buttons will be a little less bright on your phone due to a layer of alpha transparency over them when you're not pressing them.
- IT IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED TO DO A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING THESE SOFTKEY MODS!

Installation Methods
*** AOKP ***
Go to the Dropbox page of the style of your preference
Download the images you need from the folder and save them (probably to /sdcard/download)
Fire up Settings -> Rom Control -> Navigation Bar and select the images you just downloaded
Done!
*** Paranoid Android ***
Download one of the Softkey themes that starts with MMZT_
Make a backup of your ROM in Recovery
Extract SystemUI.apk from your ROM (located in /system/app) using your favorite File Explorer App with Root access
Open SystemUI.apk and put each image from the MMZT_ file (located in /res/drawable-xhdpi) downloaded in the following folders located at /res (replace the existing images): drawable-sw600dp-xhdpi drawable-sw720dp-xhdpi drawable-sw1000dp-xhdpi and drawable-xhdpi
Paste new SystemUI.apk into /system/app using your favorite File Explorer App with Root access
*** ZipThemer (Recommended, Failsafe) ***
Download one of the Softkey themes that starts with MMZT_
Open ZipThemer. If this is the first time using ZipThemer then you have to select "Update Edify", "Browse", and select the .zip of the ROM you're currently using (this identifies the update script and needed files, if you're using a flashed theme on top of your ROM then please select the theme instead of the ROM) and press "Configure"
Go back to the main menu and press "+Theme", select the downloaded MMZT_ file and press "Build It!". Select "Always" on the popup prompt to make a backup in case it doesn't work or you want to undo
Boot into recovery, and flash the zip on the root of your /sdcard/ like any other flashable ROM/Theme
Wipe your Cache and Dalvik Cache just to be sure nothing weird happens on reboot
Reboot your phone after this and you're done!
If it somehow still fails just flash the "undo-zip" using steps 4-6
*** MetaMorph (Easier but riskier than ZipThemer) ***
Download and install MetaMorph from the Market
Launch MetaMorph at least once so that the folder AndroidThemes will be created on /sdcard/. (You can also create the folder manually if it doesn't)
Download a Softkey Style using the MetaMorph link and move this .zip file to /sdcard/AndroidThemes using your favorite file explorer
Open MetaMorph, choose "Unzip/Extract new theme" and select the .zip file you downloaded. A popup screen will appear, meaning it has been extracted. Press the "Close" button.
Hit the "Apply all!" button and wait +/- 5 seconds (nothing will happen)
Reboot your phone immediately after this and you're done!

Well you're always using a ROM, even a stock Android version is still called a ROM
Considering your question, I guess that as long your phone is rooted (meaning you can access the system files like SystemUI.apk) you can install this mod no problem
works great on GSM version!
Looks good on my gnex! Thanks for this collection!
This is a great thread.

FAQ
Q: How do I apply a theme?
A: Download your theme of choice and place the .QRT file on your phone's internal or external storage. If the file downloaded is not a .QRT file, it is likely an archive; in this case, extract the .QRT from the archive and place it on your phone's internal or external storage. Launch Quantum Themer and choose "Select Theme." Browse to where you have stored your theme and select it. Select "Apply." The phone will display a prompt asking if you want to reboot to recovery to apply. When you reboot to recovery, the theme is applied automatically and will reboot -- also automatically -- back into the themed system. If you choose not to reboot, your theme will be applied the next time you reboot into recovery.
Q: Can I request a theme?
A: Yes, but don't expect me to make it. I highly encourage you to look at the tutorial in post #3 as well as the links at the end of that post to learn how to make the theme yourself.
Q: Will you be making a theming tutorial?
A: Already done. See post #3.
Q: Why did my theme change after I installed the latest update?
A: With any update, the theme gets automatically reverted to default to avoid an inconsistent theme. You will need to re-apply your theme of choice after applying an update release.
Q: Why do I get an error message when I try to flash a theme in recovery?
A: Themes are not flashable. See the first question in this post.
Q: I have a custom boot animation on my phone. How do I stop the theme system from applying an included boot animation?
A: You will have to remove the bootanimation.zip from the inside of the theme archive.
THEME TUTORIAL
Let me make clear that this tutorial is written for Windows. While the procedure may be similar on other operating systems, I use Windows to make my themes as I find the tools available for this task on other operating systems to be cumbersome and unintuitive.
What will you need in order to start making themes for Conquest?
apktool (I recommend the latest 2.0 beta) and the knowledge of how to use it.
A file archiving/compression program. I recommend 7-zip but any archiver that supports compressing to zip files should work fine.
An image editing program. I recommend Paint.NET but any image editor that supports indexed PNG with transparency should work fine.
Lots of patience
RECOMMENDED but not required: A file/folder comparison tool, such as WinDiff or WinMerge.
What files/apps can you theme?
The VillainROM Theme System is extremely versatile. It themes apps by replacing files within a compiled apk. This means that you can theme virtually any app/apk on the phone, including user apps. I recommend limiting your theming to:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/twframework-res.apk
/system/priv-app/Keyguard.apk
/system/priv-app/SecSettings.apk
/system/priv-app/SystemUI.apk
As of release 8.4, these are the only files that get restored when the theme is reverted to default and so are the only files that I support theming.
STEP 1: Create your working folder
The internal structure of the qrt (QuantumThemer Theme File) is as follows:
WORKING FOLDER -- Your working folder. Name it whatever you want.
WORKING FOLDER\Preview.png -- A preview image for your theme.
WORKING FOLDER\system -- Subfolders in here are to be applied to the /system folder on the phone.
WORKING FOLDER\system\Preview.png -- Another copy of the preview image.
WORKING FOLDER\system\framework -- Theming elements for apks in the /system/framework folder on the phone.
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app -- Theming elements for apks in the /system/priv-app folder on the phone.
Within each of the subfolders inside of the system folder (framework, priv-app), you'll need to create another folder for each of the APKs that you want to theme. For example, if you are only theming framework-res.apk, you'll need to create a folder named "framework-res.apk" within the system/framework folder. If you are theming both framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk, you'll need to create the above folder as well as a folder named "SystemUI.apk" within the system/priv-app folder.
All folder names are case sensitive and the only two folders that should ever be in the system/framework folder would be "framework-res.apk" and/or "twframework-res.apk" as these are the only two supported files that exist in that folder on the phone.
STEP 2: Decompile your desired APK
The next step is to decompile the file that you want to theme. This is important as certain files that can be themed don't exist in a compiled APK so using apktool, decompile your desired APK. For this example, we'll use SystemUI.apk. I recommend making two copies of the decompiled APK folder for comparison later.
STEP 3: Start theming
Now it's time to get creative. You can recolor, edit, or replace virtually anything in the apk. Inside of the decompiled APK folder, you'll find a res folder. Inside of the res folder, you'll find various other folders. I recommend sticking primarily with the "color," various "drawable," and various "layout" folders.
For extra theming you can also jump into one of the "values" folders and edit "colors.xml," "dimens.xml," and "styles.xml." If you've ever looked into a compiled APK file, you'll notice that not only do these files not exist, but there are no "values" folders. I'll talk about that later.
Something to remember when it comes to PNG files is that there are two kinds of PNG files in an APK: standard and patch9. Patch9 PNGs are designed to be smoothly scalable to different sizes, thus eliminating resizing artifacts present when a standard PNG is stretched across a larger area. The caveat is if you're replacing a patch9 file, try to make sure you replace it with another patch9 file with similar properties or the scaling might be off. Some scales are built into the smali code and some just scale to wrap the content. If you're editing/recoloring a patch9 file, stay away from the borders. The 1-pixel wide/tall border on all 4 sides of the PNG must remain solid black (HTML color code #000000) or solid red (HTML color code #FF0000).
Text colors are typically controlled either by an XML file in the "colors" folder, by a value in a "colors.xml" file located in one of the values folders, by a value/style in a "styles.xml" file in one of the values folders, or by an XML in one of the layout folders. Recoloring text and various other UI elements can require a lot of trial and error, this is where the patience comes in.
STEP 4: Create a list of modded files and recompile
Next you'll need a list of the files that you've modified. You can either do this by creating a running list of the files and what subfolder they're located in as you go or use a folder comparison program to diff out the modded files. A good comparison program should give you the option to export a list of files that are different.
Once you have your list of changed files, use apktool to compile your modded APK folder. Many guides to apktool will also tell you to re-sign the resulting APK. That's not necessary here.
STEP 5: Extract the modded files from the new APK
At this point, you'll refer to your list of changed files and use an archiver to extract them from the APK. The folder structure must match that of the decompiled APK exactly. If your list of modded files includes anything from one of the various "values" folders, you'll need to extract the resources.arsc file from the root of the APK file.
For the tutorial, let's assume that we changed the layout of the carrier label (layout\carrier_label.xml), replaced the alarm notification icon (drawable-sw360dp-xhdpi\stat_sys_alarm.png), recolored the notification drawer pressed handle PNG (drawable-xhdpi\status_bar_close_on.9.png), and changed the status bar clock text color (values\colors.xml).
In this example, your folder structure would be:
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-sw360dp-xhdpi
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-sw360dp-xhdpi\stat_sys_alarm.png
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xhdpi
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xhdpi\status_bar_close_on.9.png
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\layout
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\res\layout\carrier_label.xml
WORKING FOLDER\system\priv-app\SystemUI.apk\resources.arsc
STEP 6: Create, test, and share theme
When you're done creating your mods for all of the apps/apks that you want modded, it's time to create a test theme. You'll need to create a dummy Preview.png file (or use one from an existing theme) and place it in the "WORKING FOLDER" and "WORKING FOLDER\system" folders. After you've done that, compress everything in the "WORKING FOLDER" into a zip file and rename the .zip extension to a .qrt extension. Push your test theme to your phone and try it out. If anything isn't right, repeat the above steps to correct it and test again until you get it just the way you want it. When you have everything the way you want it, take a screenshot to replace the Preview.png file in your theme and re-compress it to a zip file (remembering to change the extension to .qrt) and share it as you see fit.

issues w/zip...could be me....
Mr. Moonknightus,
I have yet to have any issues what so ever with any of the Zips for Conquest Singularity (which i have been following an Zippin' for some time now)...
However, I have had a few issues with the "THEME" zips. Only wanted to test 2 of them, and settle on 1. When 7.0 came out, I downloaded a theme, well actually just tried. Then I had came back and you had the 7.1 Conquest zips (the update I should say) So I of course I did the update to 7.1. At the time I did notice that you had different themes now ( 7.1 an greater, the other is for 7.0 and less) ... So I checked them out. Am only looking at 2, and settle on one of them after testing.
Now the actual meat of this, is I downloaded the 2 themes ( "Holo" Blue and the "Touch wiz") (OH, I use Philz Recovery, and have the latest build)
NOW, in recovery, I flash the zip, and it ends up "aborting" the flash of either zip for the themes. (Yes, I always check the MD5 or what ever other formatted key) . I have came back today, just for a look see, WOW, 7.2... of course I grabbed that. Went back to Theme thread and again downloaded them, checked them, and again, tried to flash. receive same issue trying to flash them...Aborted. came back to "AndroidFileHost", and, signed in, then went and did it all again today ( morning of16.08.14) and I still receive same issue. Aborted
Me apologize for being long winded, however anytime I have an issue, and ask for help/guidance, best to give as much info as possible!!!
what could i be doing wrong? Did go through and tried it a few more times, (noticed on a page, X for signature verify, no X dont look for it.
Not too sure if anyone had any of the same. DO noticed only 2nd person to reply on the proper thread, but did not see anything like this over on the ROM thread, only a quick look see though.
THANK YOU so very much for putting in so much time and real effort with these Roms.

For best results, post questions about themes here, and general questions about the ROM in the main Conquest thread.
Really diggin all of the themes. My favorite so far seems to be TouchWiz, followed by Holo Orange & Purple. Very nice job. =)

I can see myself making a theme for this eventually. For now I'm using TouchWiz.
Recovery FLASHABLE version now posted near the bottom of the first post of the 3Minit Battery Mod for Conquest-Singularity and both Stock ND8 and NDC with 1000+ animated battery icons..
[BATTERY] Plasma Battery! ??? & wickeddecimalbarwide_colors
Charging still shot
Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy SIII on TouchWiz 4.4.2 with Conquest: Singularity v7.0, Ktoonsez' latest kernel and the latest Philz Touch Recovery.

Basic theming tutorial has been added to the first page.
All themes have been updated for compatibility with Conquest: Singularity 9.
Along with this, I present:
HONEYCOMB INSPIRATION
Download: Singularity 9 Honeycomb Inspiration
The theme is based primarily on Android 3.0 a.k.a. Honeycomb with elements of KitKat recolored to match.
The following two Theme links are incorrect:
The Singularity-9-Holo-Orange Link Points to the Singularity-9-Holo-Purple Zip File
And
The Singularity-9-Holo-Purple Link Points to the Singularity-8-Holo-Purple Zip File

Fixed the links. I'll consider a pink theme but it probably won't be like the ones that are available now. I'm working on a custom theme somewhat based on the default theme.
----------------------------------------------------
The Honeycomb Inspiration theme has been updated for compatibility with update 9.1 due to signal layout tweaks. The other themes are unaffected and the updated H.I. theme is still compatible with the original 9 release.
