The kernel used in this ROM is based on MDJ S9.2, and have ported it, and have patched to the latest upstream with a lot of fixes Just to confirm, this kernel was originally S9.2 from MDJ, so up until then all credit is to him
The git is available here, check logs and diffs for the changes made. There is a neat build script to get it compiled for yourself if you want as well in Linux or cygwin. I am using the test branch at the moment.

What do you mean writing "the new version"?
There isn't a new version yet, and haven't planned one as yet. But I have some ideas that I wanted to try to fix some of the issues that this ROM has
Most of my time has been spent on doing the CM nightlies and the CWR updates, and getting RM support for the leo. But I will see when I can get time out to do an update here as well.

[02/11/2013][v4.2.0.1] HD2 NAND Toolkit - Toolkit for HD2 Users [Video][NEW]

Edit: Hey HD2 Folks! I was just checking in to see how my old thread was doing and im surprised by the number of people that are still using and updating the toolkit. It has been quite a few years since the HD2 has been released, and it is still getting updates that not even new phones are getting. HD2 has gotten a special place in smartphone history because of this. I would really like to thank all the developers that made this possible and all the users that supported the developers. I obviously don't have my HD2 anymore (i actually cracked my first hd2 and got a second one which i lost and got a third one which started having power button problems, then i moved on, i would still use one if i had one), but i will always support hd2 users. And im sorry to everyone who donated and didn't get their names on the donations list. I really appreciate your donation, i just wasnt able to update my thread due to different problems, and im sorry about that. I hope HD2 gets more updates and ability to run more oses (Ubuntu OS etc.) in the future.
Please Don't Forget to Check This Poll.

Please Do Not Modify/Rename/Delete Any Files From The Program Files Directory! Doing So Might Brick Your Device!!!
Hello XDA Users / HD2 Owners,
This is an All in One Toolkit for HTC HD2 NAND Users. The main purpose of this toolkit is to simplify many complex tools/guides which are difficult or unsafe to use. As we all know that HD2 has got a powerful hardware base, but the pre-packed Windows Mobile operating system just ruins all the fun of having a device with high specs. So, developers on XDA like codesmith and Cotulla have created alternative bootloaders which can load Android kernels so that we can use Google's Android operating system on our devices. This tool will help you install those bootloaders, and also do many other customization/modding works easily from one control panel. Here are the main features of the Toolkit:
Simplifies Installation of cLK and MAGLDR (Android Bootloaders)
Simplifies Installing Roms, Radios, SPL's and other things by letting you install NBH Files with one click
Makes it easier to Re-Partition your Android Phone
Makes it easier to install Reicvery
Automates process of flashing NBH Files

Well, those were just the main highlights of the tool. There are a lots of other numerous features that will let you easily do many complex stuff. After lots of nights without sleep and red eyes, i have finally made this small piece of software able to do most things that a normal HD2 NAND Android would want to do easily.
Current Version: 4.2.0.1
Current Recovery Version: 5.0.2.6
Last Update: 6/15/2011

About The Software
Hd2 Toolkit is the result of a lots of nights of work with help from recognized developers such as arif-ali, seadersn and others. I have tried my best to make the software as user friendly and powerful as possible. I really appreciate the fact that you guys are using and loving this little software i made. At first, i made a tool that was intended to make it easier to repartition MAGLDR bootloader. Then gradually you guys started using it and started suggesting more and more features which i implemented as soon as i could. Version after version, i started to add new new features you guys suggested and soon i changed the name to ClockworkMod Installer. After few versions of developement, and bug reporting from T-Macgnolia, i finally added support for cLK bootloader. Then after adding a lot more features you guys suggested, i changed the name again, and this time to a name that makes broader sense, HD2 Toolkit. I will keep on updating this tool as frequently as i can. I hope you guys will like this tool. Any suggestions, comments, questions, bug reports or anything related to this tool are welcome. Thanks to mods who made this post a sticky

Linux Users
mardurhack has confirmed that Downgrading Recovery works on linux using WINE.
I did not create an installer for linux users as the main tool required to flash CWM for MAGLDR hasn't been made for linux by DFT. I would suggest using WINE to emulate the app (haven't tried it yet but should work).
As for the cLK version, you can easily install it on linux. Just download a fastboot binary for linux and use the following command:

Q: What is nandroid?
A: It is a tool that lets you backup and restore your phone easily. Its available on clockworkmod recovery.
Q: What does the software do?
A: It helps you choose partition size easily, update magldr recovery without loosing data, update clk recovery and lot more. Check the first post.
Q: Is it free?
A: Yeap, always free.

A: Depends on what you are trying to do, refer to first post.
Q: How can i avoid loosing data?
A: Update, dont reparittion, or use nandroid.
Q: How does one decide what partition size to set?
A: It depends on the rom you are using, some ROM's suggest you to use small partition and some suggest you to choose large ones (specially sense roms)
Q: Where can i find this software? please..
A: LOL, this made me laugh. Its in the zip file named HD2_Installer.exe
Q: It says no memory left, what should i do now?
A: No memory left means the last version of recovery you installed was smaller than the current one. You need to completely repartition MAGLDR in order to install new version in that case.
Q: The last version seems to be confusing. What is Magldr partitioning? Should it just say "Install CWM Recovery" instead?
A: I will add a documentation after few minutes.
Q: I have the following error:

first answer: yes, currently, magldr doesnt support flashing recovery without recreating the partitions. if you are using clk, you wont loose anything.
second answer: just use nandroid from your current recovery and you will be good to roll
What is new for the recovery ? Except the nice installer ?
Thanks anyway
Nice job...
How does one decide what partition size to set?
TIA
The installer is a genius idea, thanks very much. Is there a current changelog for CWM itself?

depending on witch rom you use.... usualy non sense roms will work with 150mb partition as for the sense roms you need 250-400mb. just read the req of each roms
Thx a lot mate! Right now, I'm currently using your cwm method.

AND SPECIAL THANKS TO SHADOWAS1 ALL CREDIT GOES TO HIM
NOW LETS GET STARTED
Hey guys i know that most of the n00bs have faced problems in the installation of android ... and now they are disturbing oleg_k , shadowas1, nbates66 and other developers of the project
well all of these guys are busy
oleg_k is busy with gingerbread port
shadowas1 is busy with a working modem and other android 2.2 problems
so dont disturb them whatever problem you want to know post them here and luckily i have prepared a tutorial for you n00bs!!!
okay here we go
firstly you will be needing these things
1. Android FileSystem http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CI0QUBLY
2. zImage and SBL.bin http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4WDW8BOE
3. Fota: http://badadroid.googlecode.com/file..._boot_poc2.zip
4. Any DBT region firmware (tested and tried it does not install on any other region firmware) examples xxjk1 xxjl2
5. Multiloader 5.62 For flashing some files

nFAQ
n00b frequently asked questions
1. wifi not working??
a. so this is the frequently asked question....you will mostly get an error "obtaining ip address" this is a glitch in the ROM so to fix this you have to go to the network settings/wifi settings then in the wifi settings press the down volume button a menu will come up tap on advanced then enable the check on static ip and then fill out all the fields down below thats it now go back by pressing the end call button and then turn off the wifi and turn it on back again thats it your wifi works
2. market error ....apps do not install ?
a. that is surely a CHMOD error now what you have to do is start Ubuntu open a terminal ..in the first field type "cd /media" and hit enter
then "ls" and hit enter (it is a small L and not an I)
then type "cd your ext2 partition name" and hit enter then
type "chmod -R 0777 ./*"
and after this type "sudo sync"
and then unmount the drives by going into "Computer" and press the eject button on the left side panel
lets get started
first you have to have XXJL2 or XXJK1
in windows open multiloader 5.62 click full download
and then choose the bootfiles and the fota file (link given)
enter the download mode on your phone by turning off the phone completely and then pressing the volume down button+hold button+the power button after entering the download mode connect the phone through the usb cable and then clicking port search on the multiloader and then clicking download
after the process is done the the wave will reboot into bada successfully if it does not boot in bada successfully it means you have done something.....so do it correctly
then collect all your android data in a folder and put it somewhere ............ so it can be accessible by ubuntu
then take your phone format your memory card in bada
login as a ubuntu root user
pm me if you want to know how to login as root user
then open gparted partition utility in ubuntu browse to your memory card in gparted delete the fat partition on the memory card and assuming you have a 2gb card make 2 partitions first should be a fat16 partition of 1100 mb and the second partition should be ext3 of 900 mb .
remember to give a name to ext3 partition ...the only reason is that it solves alot of problems
then open badadroid.tgz file in archive manager and then in the file open filesystem.tgz and then open the contents on filesystem folder in the archive manager and then select all the folders and extract all of the contents to the ext3 partition through the archive manager not manually!!!
then after it is done copy the keypad file and paste it into ext3/sytem/usr/keyalyout/
overwrite the existing file
(optional steps:- if you want other customization files download the zip from this;-)
after this
go to your wave internel memory make a new folder "galaxyboot"
and then copy the sbl.bin and the zImage to the folder
after you have done all this
open a terminal first type
"cd(space)/media" then
"ls" it is small L not and I then
"cd(space)your ext3 partition name"
then "chmod -R 0777 ./* "
then after the mod type "sudo sync"
after all this unmount the partitions
dont unplug the cable
just turn it off with the cable connected
after the phone is switched off
after all this process you might notice that the phone is heated up to fix this take out the battery and let the phone cool for 5 mins and then insert the battery close the cover
and press the end call key and after a minisecond press the call key
after you see a messed up screen with green line
let go off the buttons
the first boot might take around 20 mins for slower cards like class 2 or some class 4 cards and 10 mins for faster cards!
and voila ANDROID ON YOUR PHONE
tips and fixes for glitches
1. buggy lockscreen?
a. go to security settings aplly the pattern lock and you will get fast lockscreen
2. Wavealaxy in idle shuts down
a. download "load monitor from app market open preferences go to preferences
Click "Add Notification", "Only Notify high load", "Auto Start"
and "Wake Lock"
and then click the home button voila it does not shutdown
guys how do you like the new phone name
Samsung Wavealaxy S8900

help ubuntu cannot recognise my wave. it says my device is busy
is there something new to the files or is it just the one from 22-6?
@abd28xd
Don't go with FAT16. FAT32 is the way to go. Also EXT 3 works better and faster for me than EXT 2. otherwise nice tutorial. fix hese points so I can point a herd of Noobs to graze over here!!
abd btw, where is the link for TouchWiz 4.0 launcher?
what's the status of camera driver for photo/video?
welll i am uploading all the customization files on mediafire they will be ready in 5 minutes !
and here is the way you install it
boot bada
start ubuntu
then copy touchwiz 4 apk file to system/app/
overwrite the existing file! =)
and no updtates on camera files i think they will be a top priority after the fix of modem and sensors!!

Hey abd28xd,
thx for your answer and work.
i got this firmware http://www.badapps.ru/376-bada-12.html mainly because it got flac support.
It's a mix of S8500XXJH3 (S8500OXEJH2) (SEB) and S8500XXJK1 (CSC from JL2) maybe someone tried it before and know if this combo works..it's not worth to brick my phone at this stage...

Hi Friends!
First of all, I would like thank all great guys who is helped for our device nand fighting! Of course BIG thank to ACL.
I would like too calling all devs who are want help for HTC Blackstone Nand progress that we have faster without any fight. I think this phone its really old that we fighting for few issue but i think its really possible the real and good nand. I adding credits if i know who is create fix for nand.
I dont know everythings like kernel example but i fixing currently.
Im glad if everyone can help!
Thank you very much
This is my first our Blackstone Nand version. I take lot of time that we have more user friendly and funkcionality NAND build.
Pls keep your attention that this is Test build and need lot of work. Im working on it the kernel too but its slow because its not easy.
Main Install procedure:
* you need reading NAND tutorial that you understand correct / clear what you are doing!!!
0 - Flash latest HardSPL from OliNex
1 - Create one folder in pc and copy here : adb files & fastboot.exe, recovery may be boot.img from build.zip
2 - Install pdanet usb driver
3 - Format your sdcard to fat32 and after copy here: blac.nbh & build.zip
4 - Boot to tricolor screen and you need task 29 ( erase wm ) from BlackstoneRUUAdvanced
5 - Reboot again the tricolor mode and flash nbh from sdcard
6 - After done, reboot again and you look the fastboot screen ( Blue )
7 - Plug usb and run terminal from pc go to your folder ( adb fastboot etc ) and write this :
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img after this ok write this :
fastboot boot recovery.img
8 - your recovery running now, install this build if done after make reset or battery pull out.
9 - turn on your phone and wait for booted Android.
Another Install guide with more info, maybe its better for you:
Thanks to FazZ! Great work!
Flash the latest HardSPL from OliNex
Extract the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files to a folder
Format the microSD card fully as FAT32
Copy the 'BlacIMG.NBH' file and your selected ROM (zip) you wish to use to the root of the microSD
Boot in TriColour mode (Power button and Volume down button)
Whilst in the TriColour mode, connect the Blackstone to a USB port ('Serial' should now say 'USB')
Run 'BlackstoneRUUAdvanced' and select the 'Task 29' which is full wipe of the Blackstone
Once completed, insert the microSD card and reboot into the TriColour mode again
The Blackstone will auto-flash-install (after key confirmation) the 'BlacIMG.NBH' on the microSD card
The 'BlacIMG.NBH' must NOT be flashed via Windows using the RUU tool (it will only fail)
Once flashed with the 'BlacIMG.NBH' it will reboot to a new Fastboot screen (blue background)
After a short time the Blackstone in Fastboot mode with enter a USB connect ready state
Now connect the Blackstone to your Windows OS and open a CLi/Command prompt
Within CLi go to the directory where you place the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files (from step 2)
Type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (this will flash install the custom CWR)
Then type: fastboot boot recovery.img (this will reboot your Blackstone into CWR)
In CWR use the Volume keys to move up and down, and the Power button to select
Scroll through list to enable the 'Back key' option (touch screen and capacitive buttons do not work yet)
You are now finally ready to install your chosen ROM that is on your microSD
Once installed, let it reboot into Android OS which takes about 5 minutes on the first run
Once the Blackstone has settled within the OS (you can see the typical Android home screen), reboot
This time round, it should only take about a minute to start and you can now start using you NAND ROM
AUDIO - You need one trick, if you have booted rom after plug headset and play music from musicplayer, after unplug and continue play and after you unlock system audio kernel problem
* If recovery flash done after every reboot like this step:
- Power key pressing in fastboot screen : booting to recovery.
- If not pressing power key after simply booting android.
- If plugged Ac / Pc Usb power after you have fastboot mode.

anyways you need to test it first then you can share it! The instructions are actually clear, but if you post it, you try it first!
But now theres a nand Rom for htc HD
with sd android is impossible and very buggy to use
now they make some progress

I would like too calling all devs who are want help for HTC Blackstone Nand progress so we can have it faster without any fight. I think this phone is really old that we fighting for few issue but i think it is really possible the real and good nand. I'll be adding credits if I know somebody creates any kind of fix for nand.
I don't know everything like kernel, for example but I'm trying to fix stuff currently.
I'm glad if everyone can help!
Thank you very much
This is my first Blackstone Nand version. I take lot of time so we can have more user friendly and smooth NAND ROM.
Please keep your attention that this is a test build and needs a lot of work. I'm working on the kernel too but I am slow because it is not easy.
Main Install procedure:
* you need to read the NAND tutorial so you can understand correct and clearly what you are doing!!!
Thanks to FazZ for doing this tutorial! Great work!
0.Don't forget that this ROM can't be flashed with the PC!!!
1. Flash the latest HardSPL from OliNex
2. Extract the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files to a folder
3. Format the microSD card fully as FAT32
4. Copy the 'BlacIMG.NBH' file and your selected ROM (zip) you wish to use to the root of the microSD
5. Boot in TriColour mode (Power button and Volume down button)
6. Whilst in the TriColour mode, connect the Blackstone to a USB port ('Serial' should now say 'USB')
7. Run 'BlackstoneRUUAdvanced' and select the 'Task 29' which is full wipe of the Blackstone
8. Once completed, insert the microSD card and reboot into the TriColour mode again
9. The Blackstone will auto-flash-install (after key confirmation) the 'BlacIMG.NBH' on the microSD card
10. The 'BlacIMG.NBH' must NOT be flashed via Windows using the RUU tool (it will only fail)
11. Once flashed with the 'BlacIMG.NBH' it will reboot to a new Fastboot screen (blue background)
12. After a short time the Blackstone in Fastboot mode with enter a USB connect ready state
13. Now connect the Blackstone to your Windows OS and open a CLi/Command prompt
14. Within CLi go to the directory where you place the 'adb files & fastboot.exe' files (from step 2)
15. Type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (this will flash install the custom CWR)
16. Then type: fastboot boot recovery.img (this will reboot your Blackstone into CWR)
17. In CWR use the Volume keys to move up and down, and the Power button to select
18. Press Volume UP, DOWN, UP to enable the 'Back key' option (touch screen and capacitive buttons do not work yet)
19. You are now finally ready to install your chosen ROM that is on your microSD
20. Once installed, let it reboot into Android OS which takes about 5 minutes on the first run
21. Once the Blackstone has settled within the OS (you can see the typical Android home screen), reboot
22. This time round, it should only take about a minute to start and you can now start using you NAND ROM
AUDIO (not working on AOSP alpha version)- You need one trick, if you have booted the ROM, after pluging an headset and play music from music player, after unpluging and lettting the song playing, you unlock system audio kernel problem
* If recovery flash done after every reboot like this step:
- Power key pressing in fastboot screen : booting to recovery.
- If not pressing power key, simply boots android.
- If you plug Ac / Pc Usb power after you have fastboot mode.

well, AOKP exists
Just kidding, but I think helping would be better than fighting...(Yeah I know you don't like because this and that, I understand a little bit, I guess )
Just think what I already said before: Fighting doesn't help.
in that way just android sd card !
I can't wait for next update! This Nand version, with data connections, will be the best so far! In advance, thank you for all your works and your commitment! I always wanted to start my very old phone with Android directly, and I can do this thanks to your work... Come on!!!
good thing that you enjoy. the only problem left is the kernel, of you know anybody good on this area call them here
This is good news for Blackstone users
Finally a working version of Android that replaces win mo
Can´t wait for a new release
thanks
Guys, I need more testers...don't come here just to see the thread, install the ROM itself! It's hard to get bricked! (only if you don't have HSPL on your phone) And I say one more time, if you know somebody with knowledge on kernels and that wants to help, please tell me! If you don't want the ROM, you can simply install a WM ROM as usual!
Hi to all
I have an experemental Blackstone and iwould like to test this ROM.
My problem is that I received the phone with this SPL SPL-1.56.AxeBox
I can flash custom ROMS with this SPL (I did it several times)
Can I flash this rom too?
By the way I tried to flash HSPL without success
Thanks for the excellent work
Well, I never heard of axebox to be true...
Honestly you should flash Olinex team HSPL, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=431217
Why doesn't flashing a new HSPL work? follow the steps on the link I gave you
still, I would say you could flash, but do it at your own risk since what's recommended is using olinex 1.56 HSPL
oh arrrghhh, you're so mean

Oh right, I'm supposed to explain why I don't like it.
It's a bad kang which frustrates our lovely developers.
No attempt was made to ask if it's OK to take it.
