how woul di do that in wm6,
i would like to add buttons there that i use frequently, like phone, and tcpmp
.. file explorer.. and so on, how would i do that?
For example if u need to put on today screen any programm shortcut, go File explorer-My device-Program Files-Folder of desired programm-.exe of this programm-tap and hold-add on today's screen.

So i held it down on player.exe of tcpmp using resco file explorer the option it gave me was send to: today screen as plug in.
i choose that, and it's not there!
i'm running jw's wm6 rom.

Well if its prompted you as a today plugin why dint you go to "Settings-Today-Items- and if its listed in the today plugins then tick the box next to it,and it will show on your screen as a pluggin item.I personally use wisbar desktop for that.

Because it´s not appears on the today-plugins page!
it seems that only those programms works (with resco-sendto), who have a today-plugin interface!?

i don't mean as a line item on the today page, i mean as an icon on the bottom of the screen. i want to add icons of frequently used programs like tcpmp, file explorer, PHONE(this would be a great on to put in there).

or clauncher (free)

I attached a file which creates a kind off desktop like i have.
It also gives you the possibility to overclock your device. USE THIS FUNCTION WISELY. if you do not know how to use this search for: overclock wizard
this should be perfect, it adds icons AND overclocks?! i hope it's compatible with the universal.

argh!! phone troubles. after the install and a restart now my o2 won't get past the windows mobile welcome screen...
after a hard reset it's fine. this sucks though. cuase that program was awesome.
as awesome and easy as that program was it just wouldn't let me restart if i tried it would hang at the windows mobile screen.
soooo....
this program works but it's a lot more work.
the tray launch program work, but it's so much work!
you have to manually type in the locations of the exes..

and so on.
but at least it work for me on my mobile 6!

Can I ask you a favor? Can you please copy and post the .exe file for PHM Tray Launch from the programs folder? I find it too much if I install everything in the CAB file. Too much stuff I don't need. Thanks in advance.

here's the link to the thread where i found tray launch separate, it works great, but that first program i used int his thread was so much better, becuase the icons looks smooth when you added them, with tray launch they're really blocky

Thanks for this information. So which application do you use creates a better icon?
this program, once installed can add icons to the tray in the bottom very easily, howver, it causes my exec not to reboot properly.

i had to do a hard reset.
BatteryStatus on Jwright's latest WM6 causes crashes for me too... pity, as it'sa nice app.
Like many of you, I'm constantly trying to modify my manila files and TF3D. To see the results one must reset TF3D by clicking Start>Settings>Today>Items>TouchFlo 3D then exit, re-enter and enable it.
With that being said, can anyone create a shortcut that can be place in the start menu or programs tab that does that process with the click of a button?

without using any 3rd party apps, patch, hack, i'll do it this way:
slide to settings, tap "modify tabs", tap "done"
and voila: TF3D restarts
not sure about the english wording as my device is actually german.

I would like to share with You my little app, that I wrote to make using HTC easier and more comfortable. With this app You can assign finger friendly keybord when stylu is In, and small keyboard for stylus when it is out. Unfortunately it works only on devices with stylus sensor like HD, Diamond, Touch Pro, SE X1 (I hope it works, I've tested with BlackStone only). If you have some suggestions, ideas or if You run this app on other devices please let me know.

nice app...i'm sure it will help me, as it seams that my touch hd keep changing input keybord completely randomly and with no logic whatsoever so will give a try...hope it will bring an law and order to that mess

I tried the Cab file above, it really works, meaning it will change the Imput method according to stilus in or out.
But if I closed the phone or make a soft reset, the first time I want to write a message the imput method is still the standard one
You must setup program to start service with Windows.
Do you mean select the option "Run at Start up" ?
Yes I did select it but as I mentionned, after a reset or turning the mobile off, the first message I will write will open with the standard keyboard... I then move stilus in and out and it starts to work correctly until the next reset or turn off
So strange, because program is started. Maybe You are using keyboard which is loaded leter. Uncheck 'run at start' and add shortcut to autostart. After this program should start after all proceses and services.

Hi Nitro, is it possible to launch an application when you take out the stylus? I would love to have Phatpad opened when I do so, to take a quick note.
I won't mind closing it the one time I pull out the stylus in another app.

Along the bottom of the phone there's a home button and an endcall which, within programmes, seem to do the same thing - take you back to the today screen. Or, in my case the 6.5 CHome thingy. And the back button in most apps takes you to the home screen too - so that's three buttons largely doing the same thing most of the time.
The new phones with 6.5 preinstalled will have a windows-flag start menu button, I assume this will open up the new hexagony start menu.
Is there a way of remapping the home button so it launches the start menu instead?
That is EXACTLY what I have been thinking for the last days. Pressing Home-key should naturally bring up the start-menu.
Nice idea, even because reaching the top left corner with your right thumb(maybe for left handed it's easier ) while holding the HD with the right hand is a little bit tricky
I'd like something small to do this but I have a feeling most people will return with the suggestion "use aebplus to remap"

No aeblus cannot map the home button as it's hard coded into manila!

i'm going to watch this thread as well --- i've been looking for this since I got hold of my HD. I've already remapped the "back" button to S2U2 via AEB since you are correct, essentially the home, back, and end buttons all work very similarly.
Hoping that someone posts a solution to this!

Same here. I was so happy when I found this thread..
When I tried installing that, it did not work... Maybe it was my ROM.
There are REG keys that remap home in certain cituations, i.e. manilla but I have yet to find a way to get the reg key to do anything else.
The new keypad.dll maps it to a normal vk_lwin, so you can remap it as you like.
Unfortunately I have not yet seen it an any ROM.

However I have installed this and configured the buttons to my liking but it's not working! upon start up I get error "SMartTouch service is not found" so have I missed something? can you please give us more details on how one configures this tool of yours?

It is for Diamond and the author says here post 10 "For the touch HD, maybe you should download HTCAPI.DLL somewhere, put it in /Windows and try again". Haven't read the whole thread though so not sure if this is what the problem is.
i know its a little confusing to get it started...so heres what you do...install cab, go to program files\dredsensor and click on dredsensor.exe and a config.ini will appear...now close out whatever app you are using to view files...and open dredsensor...now you will see default under name...tap default and then click menu, then edit...change type to launcher...then go to click and tap the gray box next to the home key...go to events and chose Misc:Start, hit select, hit ok to comfirm, change whatever others you want to...then hit save, then hit ok to confirm...then hit exit...then you should be good to go...hope this helps!!

Hello,my opinion : if you post something in blackstone thread it's normally compatible with this pda , no ?
Edit : i build this cab for our HD and now it works ! Don't forget to do a soft reset .

not working for me,installed app then fix,selected type:hardkeysimul,set the home to start,tried it and all I get is an error popup which stays onscreen all the time even after soft reset,had to do a hard reset. Any help from you who got this thing working?

There is a version made by Blutz for HTC HD2 which works on HD Mini too due multi-touch support. I Had some unwanted touchscreen actions in v0.8 but v0.6 works ok.
none of his releases works by me ... "MorphGear.exe is not a valid Pocket PC application" message pops up everytime when i try to run it

Installation guide
1) Download this cab (v0.6) >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=254403&d=1260276943
2) Download my skin >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=454432&d=1291292316
3) Copy cab file to your device and install (remove previous installation if required)
4) Extract and copy skin files to \Program Files\Games\MorphGear\Skins
5) Start MorphGear and go to settings (Joystick icon)
6) Go to SNES9x tab
7) Tap on Display, Sound etc. to minimalize them
8) Tap on skin name and change skin to "MiniPad (HTC HD MINI)"
9) Press "Back" button and load your game rom and play

I tried running the official release of Morphgear but they said it wasn't a valid pocketPC application too. But when i run the HD2 Blutz one it works but its for WVGA.

Yes, it is for a WVGA but if you use a HVGA skin you can play in portrait mode
yes you can play with this port.. but the screen is very very small 1/2 of the full screen...

...so run MorphGear in fullscreen mode without virtual gamepad and use bluetooth gampepad or keyboard to play
If the screen would be still too small - buy a bigger mobile with dpad keys
