Will the standard have some accessories like DOCKS,cases,HDMI cable?
I don;t know If it is that. I just want to know the details about XOOM's size, really pictures and so on.
I think we can do it ourself if the standard without those accessories.
Let me know your ideas...

doubt it will come with anything except a charger and manuals.
their are accessories on moto's site but i dont know if they will be there at launch but my guess is that they will

I think the accessories at the moto's site is Optional
maybe they want buyers pay some $ to get it..

Amazon already has quite a few things for it..wish my local bestbuy would catch up !!

I agree with socomdark - I am sure it will only have the basic charger and manual. Motorola has an accesory page with a bunc hof things though (no prices):
moto main web site
/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Tablets/ci.MOTOROLA-XOOM-US-EN.productCompatibility
Also - its not clear if it will charge via USB, however I am seeing a ton of web sites offering USB charging cables for the Xoom. My advice is don't buy anything until you get your hands on it and know for sure what you buy will work.

Micro HDMI

Amazon has the micro HDMI cable for 5.99 with 5.00 shipping
link please?
I think he means one of these. But I would rather get a tiny little HDMI>microHDMI adapter, similar to this one I have for my camcorder, so that I could just unplug my xbox's (or Zune HD dock) cable and throw the adapter on whenever I want to hook it up. Unfortunately my TV only has 2 HDMI ports so I'm stuck with either that or plopping down like $25 for a dumb and annoying HDMI hub. I'll probably buy the cable anyways, throw it in my car or something, have a portable movie hub for when friends want to see a movie, I'll just get the cable and hook it up to their tv's. But most of my friends TV's don't even have HDMI lol

**** IF IT DOESNT SAY "TYPE D" IT WONT WORK *****
Those links are "mini" connectors, not to be confused with "micro"
O I see so there aren't any on amazon that I haven't found
Aren't all those type C? I thought the Evo 4G used a Type D connector.
yes, as mentioned above, those are Type C, or Mini-HDMI.
Evo needs Type D, or Micro-HDMI.
If you look around, you can find Type D for around $8~, I know because I ordered one already.
I believe this is what you will want:

at the above link the cost is $12.20 after shipping. Good quality cable also. Obviously remove the spaces and change the "dot" to "." from the link as I cant yet post url's
I paid $16 in total for mines. I ended up ordering one because I will just share it with my GF and it'll stay at home anyway. I have to buy a mounting dock for the car and a good car charger.

i think i will wait till monoprice gets this cable in i can't bring my self to pay no more than 10 bucks for a cable that site has spoiled me rotten
I love monoprice but I plan to load my Evo with movies and shows so I had to jump on it. I'm going to put all the seasons of Family Guy on it.
If anyone finds something like this post it here or PM me, I'm not wasting money on a cable I'll have to reach the back of my TV every time to plug in. Nor will I spend a lot for an HDMI hub. I might buy one cable to throw in my car for on the go but thats about it.

No it does what I need, I just unhook my hdmi cable from my xbox or zune hd dock and put the adaptor in, and the other end of the adaptor in my phone. It's that simple.

Good online reputable/cheap store for accessories?

So I went to my a local electronic store (that shall remain nameless) and wanted to get a few accessories. When I asked for a USB mini to micro adapter and they wanted $14 for it (should be around $5). I decided I need good place to get a all those little cell phone accessories online. Anyone know of any good ones? Looking for things like a hard case for it (body glove or other), the usb adapter mentioned above, retractable cable, 16 gig micro usb, things like that. I want to be able to get them all in one place. I could use some sound advice... going a simple google search gives me some sketchy places, and newegg does not carry it all.
Thanks
www.cellularfactory.com
Don't know if they are good, but going to give them a shot
I always use eBay for most of my accessories, they're usually the cheapest.
My friend works for www.wirelessemporium.com But they still have a very limited selection of accessories for the EVO.
For misc. cables and stuff, I always use www.monoprice.com
Seconded for Monoprice. If you don't mind waiting, you can find some stuff on dealextreme.com
Another vote for monoprice on any cables. I picked up two 3' micro usb cables, two 10' micro usb cables and two mini hdmi to hdmi cables for ~$20 after shipping. They got it to me faster than expected as well.
No offense, but if you are wanting the best price on all of the accessories, you need to be a little more realistic and not expect to get them all from one place.
I tried looking for the HDMI cable that works on our phone, but I couldn't find it on monoprice...
Can anyone post a link or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

The post about the HDMI from monoprice is wrong type. That is a MINI HDMI, the EVO's take type D MICRO Hdmi as of right now I don't see them on Monoprice
AVOID this company (Amzer) at all costs. The slimiest customer service of them all.

MicroUSB to HDMI >>anyone?

hey, have anyone tried the microusb to hdmi in vibrant? some pages says that it works and others that it doesn't. So..?
The tv out cable for the Motorola ZN5 works like a champ, plugs into the headset jack and has rca cables and a video out. I just used the phone with that at my girl's house to watch a dvd I had on there. Looked great.
EDIT: Looked for you on Ebay.. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-OEM-Motorol...853474?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b42dcb22
yes, i know that but this is the cable wich i'm talking about http://androidspin.com/2010/07/28/samsungs-latest-accessory-will-allow-hdmi-out-on-galaxy-s/
It's been fairly well know since August that that cable was mistakenly labeled as compatible with the Galaxy S series by accident. Samsung came forward and said that additional software (not currently present on the devices) would be needed. It didn't elaborate on what software it was or if it would ever be released. Many online shops (those in the know anyway), have posted warnings or simply stopped selling them because they don't work. The cable was supposed to work with Samsung Mondi alone AFAIK.
I have a generic microusb to hdmi coming in the mail (should be in soon, I hope). As soon as I get it I will try it out and see. I will post results
says this on the page: *Note* The HDMI to MicroUSB cable will be compatible with the U.S. variants such as T-Mobile’s Samsung Vibrant and AT&T’s Samsung Captivate.

That might be because it was either removed / deleted because it was likely misinformation.
I have the samsung hdmi cable and can confirm it does not work! the only thing that works is the charger port.I was wishing it would work with the desktop dock, but sadly no. I still hope samsumg will release the software for this to work, otherwise thats 50 bucks down the drain..
I did get my cable....and it was sadly mislabeled when it was sold. It is actually the micro HDMI to HDMI. So...good thing it wasnt expensive. A little sad though.

Where to get micro USB to a female usb

I can't find any on amazon that prove to have data transfer or hosting capabilities.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA App
I recommend one of these types:
http://www.meritline.com/micro-usb-type-b-male-to-usb-a-female-cable-black---p-62877.aspx
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250817547531#ht_4462wt_905
But the less ideal ones, that may put physical stress on your usb port because they are bulky and heavy, are also available:
http://www.priceangels.com/Micro_USB_On-The-Go_Host_OTG_Adapter_Pair__p17467.html
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023FTRUO
*Edit
Don't buy this one from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/USB-Micro-Adapter-Converts-Devices/dp/B0027YYMU6
As it does not have OTG compatibility, i.e. your Xoom will not be host while using it. The others above all have OTG compatibility.
I've orderd the ebay one.
Hope this information was useful.
Cheers
I ordered this cable, I think it is compatible
what do you think?
see attachment
thank s
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.
If this is the same cable as the one you bought:
http://lunashops.com/goods.php?id=1434
Then I don't think it will fit in the Xoom.
That one has a Micro USB A male, and I think the Xoom can only take a Micro B.
For Products that are compatible with OTG, they are supposed to have an AB type port that allows the A cable to attach for OTG and the B for Slave. But it seems that OTG was an after thought for Motorola and thus the Xoom only has a B-type port, so you have to get an unconventional Micro-B to USB A type for it. Hence why they are so hard to find.
Here is what the different connectors look like, from wikipedia:
And this is the port for the Xoom:
The cables I linked to above all look like they have Micro USB B males.
I ordered this one http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290540648726
Is it compatible, too?
correct me if im wrong, but has anyone found a usb otg cable that will actually work with the xoom. I dont mean cables that were made up. I mean a cable from an actual website or store that works out the box? I see people recommend the ebay one, but does anyone actually have it? Im looking all over the internet for a confirmation on something that works.

This one looks like it should fit, but I'm not sure if it is made for OTG or not. Suppose there is no way to know until you get it.
Timrock, I have ordered the eBay one I posted earlier, I can let you know in a week or two. But it looked right, said it was for OTG and was really cheap, so I'm not to worried if it doesn't work. Will make my own if it doesn't.
But ya, otherwise we can wait to see which ones the other guys used.
Maybe check in the dev section where they released the kernel that allowed USB host, maybe someone there will confirm which ones worked.
Cheers

Well, the iGo is no good, because they probably don't have the data lines connected, as it's for charging.
The one in your next post on eBay won't fit if it's an CA-157 substitute, I got hte real Nokia CA-157 and the connector is squared off at the end, picture: HERE
however, I did get a file to the end of my CA-157 and filed it to fit, and YES it works (taking a picture now)..... attached.

Well I just ordered the $2.99 one from Meritline.com. They say it ships from the warehouse in China and should take 2-3 weeks. But hey shipping was free and they accept Paypal, so I didn't have to give them my credit card...
We'll see.
The cable to go seems this one!
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UAG6WC/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A2WCWU062KR80P
The official from Motorola
I ordered mine for $4 (free shiping) from china sometime last week, it has not arrived yet lol, but I'm far away anyhow, I couldn't wait and used a micro usb cable I had laying around and a femme USB port and got myself a "free" OTG, and somewhat aesthetically pleasant to the eye.

Hi if you are going to buy it please let us know how it works! And people who have a hd dock please tell us what is missing here!
Looks like its just a holder with "extensions" for the USB and HDMI. I doubt it would have the WebTop access (without the hack of course). But this plus a BT keyboard and mouse combo might be good, and still cheaper than the OEM unit.

Synchronize & Charge your Motorola Atrix Phone with the USB cable.
and looking at the last picture i has of it, the port on the left is for the USB cable, you will be plugging in your USB cable for your phone into the back of that using the mini side, and plug the other side into another USB port.
Yea, i wouldn't even really bother. it seems to just be what doaneramma said.... a simple dock with rear HDMI/USB access and a secondary battery charger. Probably doesn't have webtop, since there's no mention of it. Just a cheapy nightstand dock charger.

yeah but won't the webtop work if you have the hack that enables webtop over HDMI?
