Switching to Android.

Hello guys,
I am kevin and i live in europe.
i saw alot about the OS android for the TP2.
i think i have GSM instead of CDMA.
is Android available for GSM?
Thanks!
I see this is your first post at XDA. Please start by reading the XDA rules, it seems you must have missed them:

For future reference, please use the XDA search tool and read before creating a whole new thread for something that has been asked previously. You posted in the correct sub-forum, and it would have only taken a minute or two to find your answer. The link to an installable .cab for the TP2 is below.

Here's my advice for those looking to make their own Android ROMs.. Stop. Write an app or two first, learn how the system works from a developer standpoint. Learn some Java. Read the developer documentation. Learn how to use Git. Then learn how to build AOSP from source. Read the porting guides, and learn how the build system works (the links below have almost everything you could possibly want to know). Now try to put your new found skills to work on enhancing the platform by writing code or making theme overlays. And share! And put that **** on your resume. There is a *ton* of information out there but any kind of "step-by-step rom cooking guide" is going to be a complete fail- it's too broad of a subject.

The PDK site is absolutely vital if you are going to work on custom ROMs. Read every single page. Twice. Some of the info isn't up to date, but you'll get a really good idea about what goes into actually configuring Android to work on a real device.

[Q] Enable Japan in FM Radio after Update

Hi,
has anaybody found a way to (re)enable the japanese frquencies after the Froyo update? Is is possible to enable the feature with a .apk from the eclair version?
Thanks in advance,
creutzwald1105
That's my problem, too! Have a fm radio apk from my eclair version, but cannot test it on froyo, because I'll update to froyo in a week.
Have you tested, yet?
Can you upload the .apk or give me the download link where you downloaded it? Then I could test it.
Downloaded the original app from a german forum, but I was not able to install it (my devie is NOT rooted)

That's not good Seems that we have to wait for some apps in app market...because fm radio is closed source and cannot be modified - so far i know. But maybe we have only to wait for some froyo fm radio apk's from japan/asia
If you read this and you have a fm radio on froyo with japan mode, pls answer to this thread or send me a message!
An official japan rom would be enough, it's easy to get the apk
Sent from my HTC Desire
any news here? Now whith Desire S-Off it should be more easy to change the apk.
is anybody on this topic?
this is my question too and how I can enable the radio for Wildfire...
still nothing...
still no news?
In most/all AOSP versions there is the FM Radio from the MIUI team included - there you can adjust all frequencies as needed!

[Q] FM Radio APP

I just installed KitKat on my device and found out it hasn't the FM Radio APP.
I've searched on the backup I did but I haven't found an apk with the FM radio in it.
Could you guys tell me where should I get it?
Thanks

FM radio (by the air) for customs roms

Hi everybody .
I have a big request (challenge) to all devs and someone with knowledges :
It's possible to port or to find a way for the FM radio by the air for h815 customs roms ?
With mods of original CM apps or anothers...
It's really pity not to have this option on our phones ....
I will be very very highly grateful ....
Not possible
For example ,in the past ,the dev of spirit-fm have done some greats miracles with unsupported phones ...
I'm convinced that it's possible with some development ,some search.
Petition LG to open source the code required to enable the FM
