[Q] Where to find authentic Samsung Battery / Charger - Vibrant Accessories

I am wondering if anyone knows where to buy authentic samsung accessories. I have gotten 3 batteries off ebay and they did not live up o expectations and measured only 1000 - 1200 mAh.
To be safe this time, I'd like to purchase the official accessory with the weird dock / stand thing. Does anyone know which other online store might have it for cheap? I have checked on Amazon, but the only stores that list it are 3rd party ones such as accessory one, and they have pretty bad reviews.

FYI, pics of the battery I got off ebay and why they suck. First the "Official" G7 batteries all had the same serial (go figure). Then 2 of them were wrapped around another black wrapper. 2 of them had a black plastic spacer to fill in space where the battery should. 1 even have cardboard cutouts to fill in more space.

Oh man, what a ripoff. I have 2 non official batteries and Im actually more impressed with those than my real battery. Holds a much longer charge. Sorry about your bad luck.

Go to samsung.com and buy the battery that comes with external charger. $50 is so worth it, i might buy that instead of 3000mah which is not guaranteed safe to our phones.

I didn't said that, i said "not guaranteed safe". So it may have a chance that it may damage our phone because of overheating or something else. But so far no one has experienced it, but still i won't take the chance.

it fluctuates between 10 and 15 bucks
...wasnt that hard to find...i dont know about the charger though
i got this
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Battery-..._1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1298656716&sr=1-1
it works perfectly and i never use a cable to charge my phone...i just switch out batteries...the batteries seem to hold an equal charge to the OEM one...and they are stylish

Just wondering about the OEM batteries listed. I was asking if any particular reseller is reputable? Since they aren't sold directly by Amazon.
Are the Laza batteries good? The charger looks a lot like the Chinese ebay ones, so I was a bit suspicious.

Mobilecityonline has the Samsung charger/stand and spare battery for $29.99 - quite a deal. I have one of these kits and I am very happy with it.

Spare batteries

Came across this on eBay, two extra batteries plus a standalone battery charger for about $13 shipped. Coming from Hong Kong, but I can wait for that price. There's another similar auction for 2 batteries and a charger for $63, not sure why this one is so much cheaper but I'll try it.

This was what I bought as well, about a week ago? Hasn't shown up yet so I couldn't tell you how they work.... but I'll let you know!
Thanks for letting us know about this!
i wouldn't trust those generic batteries...
Please update when you received them. At that price they would be great as backup batteries.

Bad quality or because it could damage the phone?
just ordered one as well. For $13, they're worth the try.

Both. $13 doesn't seem reasonable for one battery let alone 2. The cradle in that picture doesn't even look like it's for those batteries (charging pins appear to be on the top?)
Just my 2 cents. I have 2 original batteries

What is the battery number for our OEM's so we can buy another, but not at an insanely marked up T-Mobile or Samsung retail price?
I ordered similar cheap batteries for my hd2 from the same seller. believe or.not, they lasted about the same amount of hours.v. stock battery

this looks cool and not a bad price. although i'm assuming people have been buyin it cuz the price is now 15.99 and not the 13 originally mentioned lol oh well. still good price. is there a way 2 get a oem samsung battery from tmo?

Cheap price and i have bought a handful of things from Hong Kong but those battery's are 1440 mAH, and the Vibrant battery is 1500mAH. I have no idea if the 1500 is the min requirement or not or if it means it just wont last as long. Just pointing it out.
just got mine in. The batteries are actual Samsung batteries, G7 which I think is the international version of the batteries. They are the 1500 mAh batteries and the charger has a USB pass through. Charging the batteries now, we'll see how they last.

[Q] Anyone have experience with this universal charger?

I came across this charger and the price looked good, particularly considering that it's supposed to work for a variety of batteries. I wanted to get a spare battery for my Vibrant and a wall charger, but the standard Samsung OEM battery charger seemed too pricey.

Thanks, I did know about that, and it's still in the running. However, at Amazon, you can get a Samsung OEM battery delivered for about $18, so I was thinking: battery $18, + universal charger $13, total $31. If the battery is really what it's advertised as, and the more versatile charger is decent quality, that would be my choice. Hence, my question about whether anyone had experience with this particular universal charger.
Im not a big fan of none name brand parts. Thats just me tho im a little paranoid.

I generally am cautious about that, too. However, it's a struggle between buying something of unknown manufacture that may be reasonably priced and decent quality, or paying for an over-priced, name brand accessory. That's why I was hoping someone who bought this charger could comment on its quality.

Cheap ebay 2x 1500ma battery + charger. $13 bucks, what do you guys think?

Hey what is your opinion on these cheap batteries off ebay?
you get 2 generic 1500mah batteries and a charger for like 13 bucks delivered
http://cgi.ebay.com/2-X-BATTERY-1-C...260482?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item43a680b082
I certainly wouldn't believe them to be 1500mah batteries. Probably more like 700 or 800. I would look into any feedback they have on the batteries. Anything other than OEM Batteries are a gamble.
this works well too.

woops I ment to post this in Vibrant Assessories.
Moderator can you move it there for me please?
I got the same off ebay with a charger for a penny and 9.99 shipping. Took 3 weeks to get from Hong Kong. Both batteries work as well as my Samsung battery and the charger is fine with a usb port also.

I bought exactly this a good while back off of amazon. The batteries are probably closer to 1200-1300mah. Regardless it was definitely money well spent for me. I now always keep a spare battery in my pocket and no longer have to worry about charging in the car or at work.
Awesome guys thanks! I think I'll get them
And ya, I did find them cheaper, but they were from Hong Kong sellers. I limited my search to US sellers, because I don't want to wait 3 weeks for shipping!
That looks like a good deal. I'll have to keep a look out if I need spare batteries (I have 2 extra already though).

[Q] Is there something I can buy to charge a separate battery?

I plan on buying an extra battery and I wish to charge it without having to put it in the phone, is there a way to do this?

Highly recommend the Samsung - had mine for a month and it came with an OEM battery, I bought the cheap one on eBay and was sorry I wasted my money. It broke after 2 weeks.

I spent roughly $30 for an OEM battery with NFC & a generic charger that has worked fine since release of the phone. I like the cheap one from ebay because it plugs directly into an outlet unlike the Samsung version which uses a USB cable.
i got 2 of those since day one, from Tmo store / ebay

What external battery chargers do you use?

Short and sweet, my usb port is sucking now and theres a dead spot, I have to prop it against something to charge, while sprint may give me another devices, I'm really lazy, and I'd rather just try to get an external battery charger, besides waiting for a new phone and such. I have 2 batteries anyway . Many 3rd party chargers have bad reviews, and I may just get the 20$ OEM samsung one on Amazon but I'd like some feedback first. Thank You!

yiboyuan is the name on them
I picked up a package deal of a couple of extra extended batteries, an extended back to accommodate the larger battery, and a non-name brand wall charger for about $12 on Ebay earlier this year. The seller was in Brooklyn, so no long wait from Asia.
The charger is nothing special but it works fine. You can place the battery in the unit and plug it directly in a wall, or plug in a usb cable and charge up your phone that way. Nice light signals when the battery is fully charged.
Look for the guy, his ebay name is accmonster. Several folks around here had good deals with him.
I can vouch that he ships quickly and has good prices. The extended battery is not quite what the ad says (it's more potent, but not 3500). Shop around his online store and see if he has a deal that fits your interests. Good luck.

Your welcome. I got one of mine quick with the hyperion 1800's I ordered off amazon. I don't like the extended because of the bulk and I think some rom's don't like it but that is another story.

I have the same one also, threw the batteries out after they both died around 6 months after I bought them lol. But the charger works perfectly EXCEPT there is something definitely wrong with the USB port on it. When I plug the phone in to charge through the port on the charger, it for some reason disables touch input to the screen. No idea why, must be a strange defect or something. Happens with all micro USB cables.
