Vibrant back with led - Vibrant Accessories

So I found this on ebay

It looks like it runs off a separate battery. Maybe if I took night pictures a whole lot $50 would make sense.

So it also charges your phone or just gives you a flash

Just the flash. If you don't use the light much, it's a great way to carry an extra battery.

Doesn't look like it charges the phone. It looks like it gives you flash and can charge the battery in it.

So a flash is like the major thing that was missing but its kinda pricey
Sent from my Vibrant using XDA App

That's probally why only 1 sold.

not to mention it almost doubles the thickness of your phone

If it charged your phone too I would've bought it but 50 for an led is bad
Sent from my Vibrant using XDA App

i agree $50 seems a little pricey. GREAT IDEA though

sorry but thats horrible.
i know theyre trying but damn

I love how a couple moths ago, this is all anyone wanted. Now that a solution is here, the general consensus is....
Meh.

It's cool but 20 bucks would've been a lot cooler

DO IT!!!!!!!

So... it uses a full sized battery but does not connect to the phone's battery. It is not an actual flash and instead is just a spot light.
Also the ebay ad says that there is a LED for the charging status but they didn't seem to show that, but again that is only the spare battery.
I would rather just carry a keychain led flash light for 6 dollars. I suppose the spare battery holder makes some sense, but I have a lot of electrical tape if I need to make sure there is a spare battery attached to my phone.

Lol. That thing is HUGE Tiny Elvis
If someone could come up with one that's 1/5 that thickness it might be worthwhile.

I brick my phone enough without literally turning it into one.

Me too! I just have one question though. Is there a way to attach something like an LED to the usb port on the phone and have an app control it, like perhaps make it flash when taking a picture?

[Q] Slim 1800mA Battery?

Hello everyone!
Has anyone heard of an 1800 battery for the TB that is/will be the same size as the stock battery? Something available now or coming out soon? Also, are 3rd party brands good/safe to use in my TB? (I've heard good things about some company that sounds like Seido or something...??).
Right now, the 1600mA one that's out just doesn't seem like that much of a jump, and I definitely DONT want the bulky 2750 one.
I figure with an 1800mA battery and once my TB is rooted (and I can dial down the CPU while it's sleeping/standy), I will start to get decent battery life out f it.
Do a search its been answered. I'd give you a link but I'm using my phone.

1600 is more likely what you'll find.

Yeah, so apparently, this precise question hasn't exactly been answered (maybe I'm missing it somewhere? If so, please link.) As the OP suggested, im not really into the 1600, especially with all the talk of the siedio's supposed overrating on their batteries. Has anyone heard any rumours? Reviews? Anything at all?

supposedly htc is working on some like they have for the inc and evo the 1800 mah which dont require a new back.
I hope this true. I would love a longer lasting battery that's slim.

Yeah I'm not too excited about getting a giant battery that will make my phone even bigger. Hopefully, HTC will release a slim 1800mAH battery.
Agreed I decided to go for 3 of the generic 1500mah fleabay batteries, but if an 1800mah was eventually available I'd be all over it.

If the door was easier to take on and off this would be a good solution. Better have some good strong nails or you will be carrying a tool along with the 3 extra batteries

Lol, it is a little tough, but I don't have any issues like others have been having. I just grip it with my right hand down near the kick stand and pop it off using my left thumbnail piece of cake to me. So maybe I have mutant tough nails or just a bit more rough with pulling the battery cover off

I had one of these in my DX and I LOVED it. Hoping that they bring it to the TB.
A strronger battery from HTC would be great. I don't trust the cheap knock offs in a $600 phone that sucks juice likes there no tomorrow.

Just got an extended battery, any tips?

I seen somewhere tips for calibrating an extended battery, I was wondering if I could get some advice. Also I'm running Synergy RC2 GOD MODE.

-Charge battery to 100%
-In recovery, wipe battery stats
-Lets phone die [so that it automatically turns off]
-Charge back to 100%, use as normal
Try juice defender also

I had the extended for awhile i couldn't get over the bulk of it .
Have a hero and a TP2 so i just keep 2 charged batterys at a time and switch
I found the cheap ones work just as-well as the 60 dollar ones at best buy aslong as you condition them
I only paid $13 for this battery. I haven't even seen it's full potential yet. I'm a bit worried cause now I cannot use a case for it..but gives me more reason to try going red with it. Anyway, I was switching between 3 batteries and it wore out
My back. It was convenient yet annoying. So these batteries just need some conditioning?

Crossing over to the dark side

Well I have been working on getting a new job, which is why I have been away recently. And with the new job come a new iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This will be the first time I have ever played with apple products for an extended period. So I am looking forward to trying something new. But from the little I have played with them both I really wish it were a pair of android devices.
I will be the first to say congrats on a new job in this tough economy. I am sure it will be fun and from the sounds of it rewarding too.
On my Epic mobile phone.
This is a good ipad 2 video.

The iPhone 4 took a year and a half for untethered jailbreak for the most recent ios. To me, that is unacceptable. I hope you're making lots of money because the app store will certainly be taking lots of it. One suggestion i will make to anyone with that phone is, go to best buy and get the mophie juicepack plus. It's $100, but it's a good case with a 2000ma battery built in to complement the phone battery. Keep the switch on all the time to top off charge the phone battery all day. If you notice the battery percentage dropping but it still has the plug icon on the battery, turn the switch off then on and that will fix it. You might think that a hundred is crazy to pay for a case/battery. Let me put it to you this way, you can hammer on the phone all day and night with heavy everything usage and the phone will not go dead. Games, internet, streaming, videos, movies, whatever, you will be hard pressed to have the phone die on you. It makes the phone bigger and heavier but with 19 hours on and using the phone a lot and still have 40-60% battery left, that's pretty awesome in my book. That setup puts our extended life replacement batteries to shame!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56T_dpKmKBU&feature=youtube_gdata_player
You'll get longer battery run time if you let the mophie top off charge the already charged phone battery all day. If you do it like it is explained in the video, your run times between charges will be less.

My friend has that snap on battery case on his iPhone. He said he can't get through the day on the iPhone battery alone (funny my ET4g can) he loves the fact that it has a micro USB port to charge so he can use my charger or anyone else's, when he needs it. The case does look like a good case for the phone, I'd get one if they made one for mineo

Anker 5600mahs external battery review

first of all, this isn't a battery that you use in your phone, its just an external battery pack that you can connect your phone/ipod/psp/camera to via cable to charge. I like this because i dont have to make my phone bulky with a bigger back cover to accomodate for the bigger battry because i dont always need a bigger battery. Usually charging evrrynight is good enough, however, when i go out on a long trip then i keep this compact device with me and comes in handy! I would definately reccomend it. I got it on amazon for $30. Its not too big considering that its 5600 mahs!

Looks interesting... I am looking for something similar that:
- Will charge the phone (not just hold it up) as well as the extra battery.
- Will work with a case on the phone.
Usual suspects EBay Amazon etc .
