I was woundering if someone could give me a guide on how to create a new theme or change the one I already has?
Im currently using Go Launcher Ex, but if you know of another launcher I can use, where I can create my own theme, please let me know!
I've seen a lot of themes for ADW so I assume they arent hard to make/there is something out there to make them easy to create (I don't know)
As for Go Launcher, I think it's the best thing out there and I have no interest of switching from it. While I don't know how to make a "Theme", I have managed to thoroughly customize my phone via the features provided with the launcher.

It's not its purpose, but Link2sd is showing the paths/names of the installed .apk and it's usually a string looking like that one (I don't use yahoo, can't check)
either, if you can ls /data/app, it should give you the list of your installed apps with the com.[...].apk name:

But i'm not sure that's the string you need.

install the android sdk
run the ddms.bat
than select the device
create a filter its easer with the name "ActivityManager"
than run the app
and see it on the pc scren

I would like to learn how to theme to. The link above worked but the download from that page is a JNLP file, when you open JNLP file it pop ups with certificate problems. Not sure if you can even upload to market with that. I read a few posts that tells you what files to theme but nothing that tells you how to actually put color into it. I'm new to all this & really want to learn how to theme for Go launcher & Dev LWP. If anyone could post some help or links to TUTS it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Trouble using manila editor please help
I opened the manila editor but when I select a path a window pops up and I select my mobile device and that is as far as it will let me go
don't edit the manila directly via the phone,
back up all the manila files to your PC,
then edit the ones you need,
also,
make a secure back up that will never get edited,
just in case you need the stock ones, in the future.
Thats what Im doing on the PC but it won't open a path to the phone

where you have the copy of all ......_manila files

if you get a themes in cab format just run it. If you get one that is a .theme file go search for an ddownload Diamond TF3D config an dyou can apply them that way.

You are trying to install Diamond themes (480x640). You need to install HD themses (480x800)

2. do a search for strings.xml files in explorer
3. Drag and drop all the files from the search results into Notepad++
4. Find using REG expressions:

replace with:
zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2"> </string>
(Tip: use the "replace in all open documents" button)
5. Save all files
6. Compile apk as usual

For English, it's under res\values\strings.xml
Do a search in the file for zzz_glass_lock_help_text_2
You can also find other strings.xml files for various languages in other values folders (e.g. values-es)

As JPO and JPA seem to be mostly different in localization I would take a wild guess and say yes.
You better prepare an update.zip with your vanilla framework though better safe than sorry.

Not at the moment, I'm waiting for the official Froyo builds to be released before making mods for them. Right now seems many are suffering from ORD (me included )
Also looking into how the pngs can be added to apks to save some work

Sorry for late reply.I had no internet access for some period.
I don't think that the reason for stopping is launcher.Look for another reason like some tweaks for SystemUI.

The only man who can answer your question is You.
Unfortunatelly I don't have 810 on hands and cann't test it.
Just make full back up with TWRP and flash required zip. You will see the result and then make a post in this thread so I will add 810 to topic.

Since you already figured out how to change the cot on this version of systemui, care to give me a little help on which values to modify on my t715? I spent all night yesterday on trying to get this to work but I apparently did something wrong.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right? Other versions of touch wiz seem to use the drawable-xxhdpi folder, but I can only find that in /vendor/.
I'd just use your apk but I can't afford a broken system today because I have finals in a couple days and I shouldn't even be making this post actually.

First of all you should make your system deodexed.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right?
That is correct. But you need to decompile this file to make changes like it was made in my modds.
Unfortunatelly I cannot write complete how-to because of lack of time. But you can find these how-to's on xda-forum.Just use search. Find any how-to concerning tweaks or color changes of systemui.apk for any popular Samsung model(I was using how-to from S5,S6 and Note 4).

I have just dowloaded 3rd option from MEGA and flashed on my Tab. Everything working well. Youn should check any other tweaks to systemui. Mods should be installed to clean deodexed OJ4 system.
There is another screenshot taken just few minutes ago.

I know some of you may know this but many users don't know about this and they are like asking about "HOW TO ADD CUSTOM TEXT IN STATUS BAR" again and again. So, people go for Xposed Modules. But they are battery drainers and not so compatible.

STEPS TO FOLLOW:
Decompile SystemUI using APKTool
Navigate to systemui/res/layout/status_bar.xml
Add this Line. (Screenshot Attached)
Code:
<TextView android:textSize="14.0dip" android:textColor="#ffffffff" android:gravity="left|center" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="@string/hello" android:singleLine="true" />
android:textSize="14.0dip" -- Change 14.0 to whatever size you want.
android:textColor="#ffffffff" -- Change #ffffffff to whatever color you want.
Navigate to res/values/string
Add this Line at the end. (Screenshot Attached)
Code:
<string name="hello">Logan</string>
Change "Logan" to whatever text you want.
Recompile SystemUI and Replace in System.

for samsung search for tw_status_bar.xml and do the same as OP.

Actually, I am stuck on step 1, using the apktool.
I am new on this thing and I dont even know how to operate it... haha

just enter your text at android:text="enteryourtexthere" on status_bar.xml . dont need go to string section . many work need to do . just at status_bar.xml . easy . btw nice tutorial ...
