This thread was initially started by dani_carraba over MoDaCo forum, therefore, the apps and games that is workable may vary depends on
your device specification, memory storage and SD card genre, and so on.
Recently dani_carraba has traded away his Omnia 2, therefore, I take over his thread and further modify it after getting approval from
him.
All beta 1 and 2 testers are welcome to test any apps from Market and then share your experience with me so that I can keep this post up
-to-date.

Thanks to ptcfast2 for the Nice FroYo Graphics
I find this release a little slow. I had no problems with it, just some freezes. But, as I said, the overall impression is that the device is laggish. My battery, after 2 charges when it's at 35% drops suddenly to 15% and soon it shuts down the phone.
Our old devices seem to get to their hardware limit.
I will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks
Nice work My Brother...
Will download, then try now...
Then report here
Battery Drain
Hi Incubus,
First I'd like to thank you for the amazing work you and the other dev's put into these releases. It's thrilling to have new life installed into my Kaiser.
I installed your RLS13 yesterday, from your RLS12(Mainly because I saw the GSM Cell Tower Location issue was fixed). I'm noticing a pretty significant battery draining. I've had the phone off the charger for 30 min and have dropped 5%
I've got GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth off. The only thing I've run is Advanced Task Killer, and each time I run it always kills a minimum of 3 apps after having done nothing. I am overclocked to 480MHz, but I didn't have any issues at this speed with RLS12
Any ideas on what might slow this train down a bit?
Thanks
Hi,
installed RLS14 some hours ago (switched from a donut-rom). Noticed this ROM ships only EN_GB, EN_US and ESP locales - also "More Locale 2" semms to have no effect on most apps. Any chance to see more locales in future?
Downloading
is it ok if i put only 90 mb for System???? Because i need more data space..... Like on the NBH Editor
Is this ROM compatible with the tilt? Is it comptible with the front facing camera? more info in my sig
Im on HDIV MEGA?
Are there any other recommendations?
How do I install this ROM? Thanks.

This ROM IS compatible for the Tilt. I'm running it on mine. I don't about the front facing camera though
I would recommend upgrading your radio first of all.
As far as the installation of this ROM, you'll need to research that info. It's been written a million times, you just need to look for it. Start here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=621001
Freezes after sleeping for a while
RLS 12 has no issues but RLS 13 seems to be freezing after the phone has been asleep for a while. I also saw some sluggishness even after I've uninstalled and removed programs I don't use (Car dock, quicksearchbox, etc.).
Cell twoer location works very well in this release but I'd prefer the stabler RLS 12 unless there are plans to look into the freezing for RLS 13.
I'm running Haret from an SD card on an AT&T tilt, would be happy to post logs if necessary.
sorry for the newb question... I have the tilt for att
I need to know what is the best "resolution", "Version" and "Panel Type" settings to select for my device.
Whats the differece between Donut, Eclair and Froyo?
everything else seems pretty self explanatory, except the ppp.nostart what is this?
and the "more settings" section is this relevent? Altering CPU overclock settings what is recommended?
any1 recommend a good radio or hardSPL to use Im in the southern cali surrounding area.... <--sumthing compatible.
Polish localization.
Hi Incubus.
Polish you share a location in the form of an update or another?
Sorry for my English-Google Translate...
Ita localization is possible?
Many thanks.
Only English and Spanish
Nvm I solved everything
Right installed RLS 13 installed everything on the nand (once that fine i move to the ext)
so far not seeing the massive battery drain as people mention for me its the noram as i had on poly and eclair
i've had it on the side left it for a hour went back and on first time.
Things i have noted with mine
some times when i switch on it says SD card needs formatting its done this only the once and it wont read it at all restarted and its fine again. but might be wirth keeping a eye on if it happens again but i'll class it as a one off.
NO SOUND. no this has been a big one for me already missed 3 calls and the wife thought i was ignoring her lol...
Gonna have a play and see what it could be and i'll report back if i fix but on a whole rls 13 is fine for me so far and its actually quite fast but my last eclair build was loaded with too many apps.
The battery drain issue seemed to stop(Not sure why). What I am seeing now, and it's happened twice is that I've recharged overnight, straight from the wall, no USB connections to my PC, and the phone will not wake up. I've reset the phone and Android goes thru and does a new installation, the screen animation runs for a long time, and then when it goes back to the home screen, it isn't running LauncherPro, its the default Home screen.
Isn't that a weird one? Luckly I did a backup BEFORE I put the phone on the charger for the night. The backup seems to be working fine as of this post

The best mods for me come from the Roms themselves. I'm currently running AXI0M Crossbreed (AOKP 4.0.4 Kang/Hybrid), but AOKP build 27 and GummyNex 0.8.1 are also very cool. My three favorite themes are Black Exodus by Nitroz, Amoled Blue, and ICS&Black.
You can use Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher to modify your icons on your homescreen. Also, Desktop Visualizer can do this too!
Any questions, just ask. =]
First welcome to the world of android and welcome to the Galaxy Nexus . Second work your way over to the "Post your screen shot" thread of any forum and have a field day . You will be surprised at what you can do with these phones and set ups people run . I have seen both sides of the fence Apple/Android . In terms of setting up the phone to look the way you want it , in my opinion Android wins hand down everytime . You can keep the screens as minimal as you want or pack the hell out of them with widgets and apps . The sky is the limit and have fun with it . Im not totally knocking Apple they have their place in the world . But to put it in a metaphore : Apple is like a resturant that makes a really kick ass dinner . Android is a buffet that has kickass everything on it that you can pick and choose whatever you want and set it up however you want .

Damn anton2009. You must have almost the exact set up as I have. I fully agree with all the above.
Hi guys, got it in my hand ! loving it so far ! would you be able to point me into the direction of being able to mod it for custom icons as per my original post? i have downloaded nova launcher, thank you !
I just got my Gnex a few days ago and I highly recommend installing the Gummy ROM. It has several features that would be so hard for me to live without now that I have them! One is if you hold down the power button to bring up the power menu there is an option to disable the soft keys. Not only does it give you full use of the screen, it prevents people from accidentally hitting a button when you hand them your phone to look at something. You can also customize the soft keys in the settings, I can't live without my search key!

OK, before you can just go modding anything, you will have to unlock the bootloader and root your phone. Then you can customize to your hearts content. Right now, without root, the only customizations you can use are the different launchers in the Market and themes made for them, like ADW launcher and it's themes or Go Launcher is another popular one. I suggest reading. Then after that read some more. When you get done reading some more, go read some more. THere are dangers in rooting and flashing roms and themes, but the benefits far outweigh the bad. Don't just go into it blindly though. Make sure you know what rooting is, why you should do it and the risks and rewards involved. Get the most out of your phone with root, but like I said, make sure you read about it and don't just do it or you'll be starting a new thread saying....'Hey, My phone won't boot up, it just plays the bootscreen over and over. HAAALPPP!!!!'
This was my first Android device too. I highly suggest unlocking the bootloader and rooting before you start to customize your device. This is why you got a Nexus right?
Follow my guide on getting these mods to work.

So, if you want to know what the best music player is, ask here and I'll suggest the best ones available.
If there are any apps that you feel shouldn't be in this list, please let me know and suggest a better one. I can then test it and maybe add it to the list, in place of the other one.
If you don't suggest a better app, I won't change anything.
Must Have Apps on the Galaxy SIII
Due to popular demand via PMs, I've decided to add a slot to this thread to display some of the best games we can get on our Android device.
As with the app list above, if there's a great game you'd like to be added to this list, let me know and I may well add it in
1. Pool Break Lite - If you like to play pool, snooker, billiards etc. on the go then this is a great app you. There are a few different variations to play in either single player or multiplayer online mode and even more variations if you buy the pro version.
2. FIFA 12 - This game speaks for itself. It's the latest mobile version of the FIFA franchise and is easily the best so far, with it showing vast improvements. There's a load of different cups and leagues to play through and with great graphics with no lag in the slightest.
3. World Series Of Poker - Probably the best game from EA (in my opinion). If you like to play poker I totally recommend this game. You can play Texas Holdem and Omaha in either cash games, tournaments or play for a WSOP bracelet as the main prize. Guest mode is now available for no login from Facebook is needed.
4. iAssociate2 - This is a good choice if you prefer a bit of a brain tester. iAssociate2 is a word association game you have to figure out which words and phrases are associated to each other. Sound easy? Give it a try and you can soon find out differently.
5. Need For Speed Most Wanted - Another brilliant addition to the EA family, Most Wanted finally brings one of the best racing experiences to Android. It's a brilliant game all round but the only thing it's lacking, in my opinion, is 'free roam' mode. But apart from that, it brings brilliant graphics and flawless gameplay.
6. Grand Theft Auto III - Grand Theft Auto III was a crime game which changed the future of gaming and is amazing to play on the go with our Androids. The full console game with great graphics, full features and surprisingly no lag considering it's such a huge game. Countless hours of gameplay, HD quality resolution and visually stunning graphics make this a must for our devices.
Must Have Apps on the Galaxy SIII
The idea to add widgets into this thread aswell was an idea taken from Goku80 and I hope you lot like it.
So, the list in this post is strictly for widgets. I'll add some widgets myself as a base, but as always feel free to suggest some of your favorite widgets and they may make it into this list.
1. Beautiful Widgets - Beautiful set of Widgets containing clock widget, clock and weather widget, weather widgets, date widgets and toggle widgets with skins/themes support!
2. Fancy Widgets - Personalize your Android home screen with highly customizable clock widgets, weather widgets, home (clock & weather) widgets, forecast widgets, and more with lots of customization options.
3. Ultimate custom widget (UCCW) - If you enjoy customizing the look of your homescreen then this is pretty much a MUST HAVE app for you. It allows the user to create their own pure custom clocks with a near endless array of options to customize it how they'd like. However you want it, you can make it with UCCW.
4. Desktop VisualizeR - Here's another really useful widget if you love to customize your screens. This gives you the ability to make shortcuts and widgets with any image you specify, rather than just the default logos. You can also use this app to give apps a custom icon of your own, which is handy if your icon design doesn't currently exist.
5. Minimalistic Text - Minimalistic Text is a widget app that displays information in a minimalistic way. It can be configured to display time, date, battery and weather information. The layout of the widget is highly customizable throughout.
6. Eye In The Sky Weather - This is for all those who like their weather clean, simple and beautiful. The app includes 12 of the best weather icon sets and the ability to add your own icon sets.

Hiya everyone. This type of thread isn't new to XDA as it's on almost every device fora, but I decided to bring it over here aswell.
I'm going to share the most useful applications I have on my S3 and would like you to share your must have apps. If an app gets mentioned by numerous people, that isn't on this list, I'll be sure to add it.
1. Power Toggles - This is simply the best toggle app around. Able to toggle lots of main features.
2. Picsay Pro - This is a brilliant photo editor, but limited compared to some others. My personal favourite.
3. Rotation Locker - WYSIWYG. It locks your screen to either Portrait or Landscape. Really useful on some apps.
4. XDA App ICS Blue Colours/Themed - Our favourite forum app but with a complete red or blue colour theme thanks to our own Whiskey103
5. Memory Usage - Lists all current apps and tells you current memory usage, peak memory usage and priorities.
6. Desktop Visualizer - Makes shortcuts or widgets using a custom image and can be used to make custom icons.
7. ES File Explorer File Manager - An all-in-one file/app manager, task killer, cloud storage and much more. Plus, it's free.
8. PowerAmp - The most powerful music player there is.
9. Superuser - Grant and manage Superuser right for your phone. *ROOT*
10. Titanium Backup - The most powerful backup tool on Android. Simple as that. *ROOT*
11. AirDroid - For moving files between your PC and phone using WIFI
12. AdFree for Android - Removes most ads in the browser and other apps. *ROOT*
13. Tasker - The best app of its kind. It does almost anything
14. MXPlayer - MXPlayer is one of the best apps for viewing movies.
15. Photo Timeline - Lets you create a time elapsed sequence of anything you want with your camera and then play as a slideshow
IF YOU'VE FOUND THIS POST, OR ANY OF THESE APPS USEFUL, INSTEAD OF POSTING THANKS, JUST USE THE BUTTON!
*NOTE* - If you wish to know what the best app is regarding your needs, ask in this thread and I, or others, will be able to help you out.

I use it with Widget Locker, great lockscreen music control that has great themes if you get the pro unlock (just $1.99 i believe)
I've been digging Gameboid and Nesoid. Snesoid and psx4droid are nice but too many onscreen buttons if you don't have a controller.

Notifier pro plus---gives you repeat notifications for apps you choose. great for when you get certain events or notifications you dont want to miss
auto wifi toggle-- lets you set up times through out the day that it triggers wifi. if there is no connection with in a set amount of time it turns back off. great for people who like to be connected to wifi. saves battery because wifi isnt always on.
screen on app that keeps the screen on when in apps you choose. great for well pretty much every app that you want the screen to stay on
screen caster app that records the android screen. great for if you want to show a but to a dev or show an app to a friend. you can record the screen, it can also record your voice so you can explain whats going on. you can then load it to youtube.
droid wall great security app that actually works. when set up it block incoming and outgoing data connections. with this app you can ensure that none of your data is leaving your phone with out you knowing. note that if one of your apps isnt working you may need to check what you have set up.
Lux auto brightness a screen brightness app that works very wekk when set up properly. helps me save battery. also great for at night with a loer brightness. the screen no longer hurts my eyes when i first turn it on.
Smart screen off good app for turning off the screen. uses the proximity sensor to turn off the screen if its covered for a certain period of time. great so you dont pocket dial!
this is just some of my collection that ive been gathering over the years.
most of these app are paid apps but trust me they are good ones.
hope you like them!!!!
If you want a security app, how about Cerberus?
LBE Privacy Guard is a great security app as well. Allows you to manage and change any permission on any app. For example, if some apps want GPS (Angry Birds Space) and will automatically turn it on for location based ads, you deny it right off the bat.
Anytime you install an app from the store, a notification will allow you to manage the permissions for that app before you ever launch it.
Another one would be Avast. A security app that does all kinds of things I don't even know what they are. Have the ability to install at kernel level if rooted too, which could be beneficial.
Zedge should probably be in there somewhere.
Never really used romtoolbox.. I've never had a reason..
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I'm not gonna be adding any lockscreens or launchers to the list because there's already tons of threads on each forum that go into detail about them. You're all welcome to post them in your own list as a couple of you have
I'm not too sure on which security app I'll add yet because I haven't really tried many yet.
I'm also undecided about a wallpapers app at the moment. I used to use Zedge until I found out about PicSpeed HD Wallpapers and I've used it since. Then there's Wallbase HD Wallpapers that FrameCityJackal mentioned aswell.
Any other wallpaper apps I should check out?

Known Issues
-The note 3 Edition only Known Issues
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Code:
[center]
-bc of the ink effect port I had to redo
when choosing ripple effect for the first time
the lockscreen will have a huge blown out lock image
simply change the wallpaper and this shouldn't arise again
even unselecting and reselecting ripple effect
(wip to fix as we speak)(not important)
-there is a Russian named folder in your app drawer
simply remove its a residual from the necessary
ids required to make certain apps function
-contacts may fc randomly at first or for the first few moments after boot
-signal may be flaky on first boot running through setup wizard
simply use wifi to setup then reset apn. and or just wait till it comes back
-phone may be laggy for the first 10 minutes after initial setup..just wait longer
-nexus 5 google home launcher wont open until you've logged into
and updated all google related apps
-your home button may break and become the power button
(make sure after you've enabled xposed mods and wanam
that you actually set it up )
settings will cause issues in certain functions
--certain features just don't work and never will
(air view and certain hand gestures) so use included hand gestures app
-Browser is in the Samsung folder
-contacts may act funky from time to time
if you lose all your google contacts or pictures
delete your account and re add it
and check sync settings under accounts as well
or if pictures in contacts stop syncing or pictures stop showing try a reboot first
Both Editions Known Issues FYI

-svoice and Samsung tts have been removed.. after many hours
and days of testing . I found it to be the biggest battery killer//
I will provide a flashable zip for those who wish to have it back
-Nova widgets still wont work..simply move nova to system/app using titanium
there are two galleries and two cameras
(its for photosphere and just to have another option
remove it or use It. just be careful with the flash)

Note 3v And vanilla f2
Sysui may fc and your phone may soft reboot if it doesnt ..reboot it
Basically the scripts initialize on boot
And the composition type changes so im assuming since sysui was a pain from the get go this is it re zipaligning the apk

type
-included and set permissions for about 7 init.d scripts
darky zipalign
ram optimization
app process
loop scrolling
in and out tcp
touchscreen smoothness is up
and SQLite optimizer
and a few others
fixed over all scrolling issues and lag I found in a few places
set minimum dalvik interval to higher
and removed se Linux a third way by relabeling it within the scripts
please allow cache time !!!!please !!!!! allow cache time and you will see :)))

Sky Note Air Note 3 Gear
-ok
I took http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2467810
thanks to titoo 7 and this international rom flashable
so basically I used att mj4 as my base
then I used all the latest extras from att mk6
-then I had to use the n7105 kernel bc of the Bluetooth tethering
and a few other library dependent and framework dependent issues
-then I used the note 3 features .. and just blanked out a lot of branded settings
as youll notice some extra fields that have
random @symbols..well deal w it my friend
-so after days of countless flashing and using it in tandem w my new gear :)
everything works that you have been wanting to work forever now
-color emojis
-actual functioning bt tethering
-direct pen input
-daydreams are back
-volume in settings works
as does air command when removing the pen
- most of these were fixed by using n7100/7105 framework
and kernel, make sure to wipe a few times no dirty flashing this one
-also by default included the hd Samsung tts
-fixed every and all root losing issues
by updating the app to 1.85 and binaries as well
-
- i put together a complete package of galaxy gear goodies
in one flash you can have everything and a few extras
including hd Samsung tts
-galaxy gear flashable(meant to flash on your gear)
added a bunch of sweet battery saving build prop tricks
and screen dithering and surface flinger and sensitivity increased
meant to work with any mk7 galaxy gear rom (will not wipe just changes the build.prop
and adds some new data/apps
Air Vanilla F1
-fixed the entirety of the rom
included all new deodexed correctly apks
fw files , and libs that were missing
-also upped the over all smoothness of the rom
and baked in a few extra handy apps
-drag and drop multi window now available
and the gpu and cpu and bt drivers have all been updated
(def noticeable)
-also fixed root completely no more losing root

Since it's Christmas I will just say yes, and not point out that the title says i317 and this is an AT&T Note II forum.
I won't do that.
Althou I had to work on Christmas you didn't. Can't believe your doing this for us, but after being on here for a while I guess I can. Thanks so much for all you do and your work is great. Since clean rom ended I have really enjoyed your work on the note 2 . Like everyone else can't wait for this one.
