Alarm Clock Duration...? - Defy General

The built-in Alarm Clock stops playing after 1-2 minutes and goes into snoozing. Seems too short for me... Can I make it playback for at least 3-5 minutes without installing another app...?
Rocking Chinese ROM.

Anyone...?

I set another alarm for 5 minutes after the first one with snooze for 20 minutes. That way I get the alarm, silence, and then alarm again in 5 mins, plus again in 20. If that makes sense. But I guess you can just set snooze for 5 min then every 5 min it will go off.
PLUS you can set it to also vibrate and get louder as it plays. If you can't get up with it at max volume in 2 minutes then you need someone to wake you instead of the phone.

You could set an mp3 that's longer than 2 minutes as alarm ringtone.

the mp3 is longer than 2-min, but it's cut short by the alarm app, seems motorola thinks if someone really need some sleep, their wishes should be granted

How can I "unsilence" timer?

Does anyone know how I can NOT silence the timer?
I would like to turn off the notifications of my phone, so that I won't get calls or texts but still be able to hear the timer?
For instance, say I want to take a 30 minute nap...and I turn down the volume on my phone to silence everything. I set a 30 minute timer...only problem is that it is silenced too!
Does anyone know of a way to be able to hear my timer and still turn off the other features of the phone?
Thanks
Mike

Yes, use your alarm instead. The alarm volume overrides the system settings. To my knowledge, it's the only one that does, unless you can find a stand alone app.
BTW - Lovin' your avatar! I was born & raised in KCMO & am a lifetime Chiefs fan!
Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3, running strongsteve's OdexedBlue ROM, using xda-developers app.
I use alarm clock plus. It has a setting to overide system volumes and will play even if everything is turned down. It has both alarms and a "nap timer" Great app.

I use Sleep as Android and it'll do exactly what you're looking for - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.sleep&hl=en
I've got mine set up to just buzz my watch first, then a failsafe that goes off on my watch and phone.
Ooooo looks brilliant!!! Do all the other features like sleep tracking etc drain the battery much then?

It used to drain your battery totally, but dev recently got it working excellent instead.
Now our sw3 is one of the most battery efficient watch
To run the app on, battery "drains" around 17% over night, which is great since it various sensors are being used.
Regarding vibration on the watch in general: I think it's as easy as, if an app generates vibration alerts on your phone, it'll generate these on the watch too.

Ooooo brilliant! Thanks for the info I'll give it a shot over the weekend then when I've had time to mess with all the settings, annoying though as I like using timely and would really just like it to vibrate my watch...

I just got the SW3 yesterday. I'm trying to get my alarms to sync, found this an tried Sleep as Android. However, it seems no matter what settings I use, my watch only buzzes once very briefly for the alarm while it goes off as normal on my phone. As if just a notification that an alarm is going off. Is this just how it works? Any ideas?
I followed the "instruction" chapter on wearables to enable Smartwatch in the app and enabled the vibration (Smartwatch) from start option, but I can't find any other real set up options or instructions.

I made two alarms - One with the phone vibrating / making noise, and the watch vibrating, then one set ~5 min before that, set to silent, and disabled vibration (so the phone does nothing), and set the Vibrate (Smartwatch) to "From start" as well.
When the first alarm goes off, mine buzzes once briefly at the time of the alarm, and then once again maybe 30 seconds later, then it starts getting more frequent after that. When I just went to check what my settings were, I also noticed there's an option to start the watch vibration "before" the alarm - though I'm not sure how much before the alarm "before" is, since it doesn't seem to be configurable, but that may alleviate my use of two alarms.
Hope that helps!
Official Clock app from Google
now u can install on any android and the alarm appear on smartwatch , to dismiss or postpone

Disable alarm auto snooze?

Anyone know if you can do this? I feel like my alarm goes off for like 15 seconds before it snooze automatically for like 10 minutes. I need more tone for the alarm to get me moving lol

Alarm and timer functionality

I am looking to get Huawei watch. The app that I would use the most is alarm and timer functionality since I work at home and would like to see timer countdowns for my breaks and lunches .
Is it possible with the native app timer to have multiple timers set up and choose the one I want accordingly? like 15 mins and 30 mins one so I don't have to set it everytime.
Also with alarms can I have multiple ones?
When an alarm or timer is up does it beep or vibrate?
If I start a countdown timer does it show it in ambient mode in numerical format not watch face?
Would appreciate if you can post pics. Thanks.
I see no one has replied yet. I think I would suggest you look at Android Wear apps and see if something will meet your needs. I find the Alarm function with the watch to be pretty limiting. I downloaded an Alarm and Timer application, but really haven't used it yet. I don't think you can have multiple timers set up on the native app, and I don't think even the one I downloaded has that capability. I think you can have multiple alarms, but there in no functional speaker on the watch (or any Android Wear watch), as I understand it, Android Wear does not yet support a speaker. Need an Apple watch for that..

Alternative alarm app?

Hello everyone.
Since a week, I'm wondering if there are any other alarm apps for the SW2. The reason? It wakes me up the hard way, and it's like you barely slept.
I'm wondering, and asking to you XDA, if any of you knows an alternative to the stock alarm app that has a progressive vibration, just like the progressive tone on your phone's alarm.
Thanks, even if you haven't find a solution!
Standalone app are not authorized on SW2 so just alarm on phone or watch but with connected phone app.
Otherwise you can set 2,3 or more alarms at few minutes interval
