An alternative to this thread is in the works. Please be patient.
Please read the short FAQ concerning this thread BEFORE POSTING.
Ok guys, here's how this works. Everyone wants their shiny new device to have a home on XDA, right? Right. Simply put, make a post in here with your device name and I'll add a vote for it below. This thread is to keep track of the tallies as they get more popular. This thread is also completely unofficial and does not guarantee that any forum will be created. It's just here because I felt the need to tidy up this forum. No double voting! Once (IF) the forum gets added, I'll link to it in the third post once I become aware of it. Simple, right?

FAQ
1. Oh, my gosh, I like this thread and you quoted me in a post. Can we be BFFs? I'm going to spam your inbox until you reply.
Don't PM me for any reason concerning this thread. If you send me garbage in my inbox, I'm going to report you. Plain and simple.
2. How many votes can I cast?
One vote per device, per user.
3. I want to vote for two devices. May I?
Sure. You may vote for as many devices as you like, but only once per device.
4. How many votes does it take to get a forum added?
There is no set number. Ask an admin how they decide. This isn't an official thread. It just keeps the forum cleaner.
See below for a quote on the subject from MikeChannon, who is a forum admin.
5. You made a spelling error/put a device in the wrong heading/listed a device that has a forum or any other mistake.
Post the error that I made in a new post, and I will correct it. DO NOT PM ME.
6. Why did some other device get a forum when I think my device is more popular?
I don't know. Ask an admin.
See below for a quote on the subject from MikeChannon, who is a forum admin.
MikeChannon said:
As cajun says above.
Please remember that popularity although an important factor in deciding if a phone gets a forum, IS NOT the only factor.
We are likely to see more and more low priced devices around that will be very very popular (due to price) and we will not be adding them all if any!
So in addition to popularity we consider things like the specs of the device, does it have anything particularly new to offer, are there existing or potential developers for the device (not just ROM cookers) and so on. This does mean there will be potentially "good" devices that we will not add. In addition of course we have to have regard to our resources. In today's world we could add several devices per week, but we would not be able to provide enough administration and moderation to keep things running at least fairly smoothly!

Well, my request is not about a proper device but it's very important in my humble opinion.
Bluestacks, as you may know, is a software that allows to run Android on Windows /Mac. It came out this week and since then people are talking about it, creating many different threads. This whole discussion has become very haphazard, so there is a need for an official Bluestacks forum on our beloved XDA.
Thanks for consideration.

This is a mobile device forum. running software on Windows or Mac PCs is not meant to be on this site. Yes, it is Android, but the target platform is not a mobile device. It's the same reason we don't have a Google TV forum here.
P.S. I gave you accidental thanks when trying to quote you. Enjoy.

What's in your Gadget Arsenal?

Ok,
So for iPhone holders, a lot of times you can pretty much depend on them having a Mac Book, iPad, Apple TV, etc.
For Android users its a little different as we probably cross all platforms depending on the type of device.I'm just curious to knwo what's in your Gadget Arsenal?
For me:
Phone: Galaxy Nexus (VZW)
Tablet: Asus Transformer Prime soon to be Nexus 7
Laptop: Samsung Series 9
Desktop: Some Windows Box I built mainly for gaming
TV Media Device: Boxee Box
Phone: GSM nexus
Laptop: HP G42
Tablet: Yet to arrive Nexus 7
Just curious, anyone of you into PC hardware?
Beamed from my Maguro.
Phone: gnex gsm
Tablet: iPad
Laptop: Dell precision m4500 (work laptop)
Desktop: minitower with retail parts (quad core with 4gb RAM)
TV mediaplayer: some cheap Asus box that will play/stream anything.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Phones: Galaxy Nexus GSM, SE Xperia Arc S
Tablet: Currently none. I had hope for the Nexus 7, but without 3G = no way.
Laptops: Asus G71GX (Fedora Linux 17), Apple iBook G4 (OSX Tiger)
Desktop: Some old minitower with dual core CPU and 2gb memory (Fedora Linux 17)
TV mediaplayer: I'm glad with cable and an DVD player.
(Isn't this more a thread for OT?)
Phones: Galaxy Nexus GSM, HTC Wildfire
Tablet: Ainol Novo7 Elf
Laptop: XMG A702 (A couple of things modified)
Phones: Verizon Galaxy Nexus, iPhone 4S
Tablet: Nexus 7
Computers: Retina Mac, older custom-built PC (i5-750 cpu, gtx 560 ti)
Gaming: PS3, Xbox 360 (r2d2), 3ds (zelda), Wii (dust-covered)
TV: Apple TV
Camera: Sony RX100
Phone: I think we all know
Laptop: Macbook pro (and I love it )
Tablet: No need with a gnex and macbook
Gaming: PS3
Phone - GNex
Tablet - None (I use my phone)
Computer - None (I use my phone and remote into my work iMAC if I ever need to do anything that can only be done on a computer)
TV - LED 8000 55" Samsung Smart TV
Media Device - Motorola Atrix 4G connected via HDMI and I have a BT keyboard and mouse hooked up to it. Just pop it into the dock and hook them up to the TV. It has replaced my computer at home.
Home Theater: Bose GSX 123 and Optoma 1080P projector (I connect my Atrix/GNex to the HDMI port and play movies from Netflix).
Camera: Nikon D5000
I am not really satisfied with the HDMI capabilities of the GNex. It falls way short of the Atrix 4G's capabilities there.

Thanks. Besides those, other phone can it support? e.g. Note 3.
If it's not listed, then it might not be. Best to email them directly for new phones... not hard surely?

Wtf is this doing in the Nexus 7 accessories section? Please take your ridiculous question to the proper forum, so that people can berate you over it there.
Thread Closed as it has nothing to do with Nexus 7 2013.....
BTW answer is in post #2.

[Review] $145 Ulefone Be Pro 2GB/16GB/[email protected]/OTG

Ulefone will be a strong player in the near future. Two OTA updates already released since the phone came out just a couple weeks ago and regular communication with "fans". It's a very positive sign in comparison to most China brands, and indeed major brands as well.
Ulefone Be Pro written review
News from Ulefone: "Lollipop coming soon" for Be Pro
The video review:

[Q] Best substitute for Galaxy Nexus?

What's the best alternative for a Galaxy Nexus?
My wish list:
- full support and documentation of phone HW and kernel drivers (better if source code of HW drivers is available);
- An active community of 3rd party kernel build/patches/mod and AOSP ROMs. I'm not a fan of Cyanogen and customized ROMs. With my GNex I'm a fan of ShinyROM and FML, I like Fancy Kernel and Franko Kernel;
- LTE ready;
- SuperAMOLED or similar display technology;
- better battery life;
- same dimensions;
- price under 300 USD/EUR;
- European warranty and/or European GSM model (I live in Europe);
- vanilla AOSP Android like Nexus devices. I don't like Touchwiz or vendor ROMs;
- ideal for development and hacking;
Possible candidates, actually, are Motorola Moto G and LG Nexus 5.
Any suggestions?
Moto G, Moto X, or Nexus 5. If you can handle a bigger phone the Nexus 6 is pretty sweet too. It reminds me a lot of my Gnex, but twice the size.

Moto X and Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 are too much expensive.
I can buy Moto G 2nd gen LTE for about 180 EUR (200 USD) minus a cashback of 30 EUR.
What do you think?
Wait for moto g 3rd gen then. Same price, better specs, coming in a week or two...
